To begin, we have been experiencing issues with this company from the install Equipment was placed in locations that were incorrect and resulted in several poorly coordinated appointmentsAfter the install, my family found water bottles filled with urine dropped in the yardWe worked with them to resolve the install issue to have the inverter fail after approximately months of serviceI had to make several phone calls informing them of the system issues and weeks later finally had the inverter replaced and the system back upThe repair resulted in a very high Edison bill as this failure was during the summer and system production resulted in power pull from there gridAfter several more calls, my Edison bill was refunded and all was good again

I am rejecting this response because:
I was initially going to accept this response BUT I received an email from *** *** on December 4th letting me know a technician would be at my home December 5thNo one showed up all week, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was the weatherI emailed this individual yesterday regarding rescheduling this appointment and I have received no response

There seems to be an enormous issue in communication with this company and getting a service technician to my residence to fix an issue with my existing, Horizon Solar installed, system and control panel/monitor I have waited weeks now and been told there were different appointments scheduled only to have the technician not show up or call the day before the appointment to say he was "on his way" When told that the appointment was for the following day he says he has to call his supervisor and will "get right back to me" He never calls back and does not answer his phone when I call him and it seems the Operations department has no idea what I am talking about when I call them to try to find out what is going on I do not work near my home and must take days off in order to be present when the technician is scheduled to arrive but when he doesn't show I have just wasted my time off I only have days of leave per year and have just burned days up in futility as the tec

On 5/16/16, I entered into an agreement with Horizon Solar for a kW Solar system At the time of the agreement, I explicitly informed the agent that time was of the essence for the project (both verbally and written) As we approached the summer season, it was important to me to have a functional system installed timely I was told that the system the system could be installed and through final inspection in as little as days but it would definitely take NO LONGER than two months It has now been over months and I still do not have a functional, approved solar system I've experienced delay after delay, multiple corrections, failed inspections, and still no end in sight I've contacted Horizon and my project coordinator *** *** multiple time to escalate this issue I'm consistently told an upper level manager will reach out to me, which NEVER occurs
I no longer believe that Horizon is acting in good faith to fulfill the agreement I've also lost faith in

Our main issue is that we signed a contract for equipment with a year warranty, but the panels they installed only have a year warranty from the manufacturer They’ve offered to cover the warranty, but we’ve explained that’s not acceptable If Horizon were to go out of business, we’d be stuck with equipment that only has a year warranty! On top of that, our installation process was not done as was explained to us and the inverter box they gave us was not what the salesman said we’d be getting We feel like this was a classic “bait and switch” scam and immediately contacted the company to get this issue resolved We’ve been given the runaround for weeks when all we’ve wanted is to speak with a supervisor that could address our problems On November 16th, we received a pre-lien letter from Horizon This was the last straw for us All we’ve been doing is trying to fight for what was promised to us in hopes that Horizon would do the right thing and correct their mistakes

Comapny keeps sending rude salespeople to our house despite multiple calls asking them to stopSalespeople refuse to leave propoerty when asked!
Horizon Solar continues to send rude and unprofessional salespeople to knock on our door and harrass us despite telling us they would stop when we have called the company to complainToday, the salesman who came to our door was extremely rude and refused to leave my property when askedInstead, he stayed and continued to press me with personal questions about our finances, house, etcuntil I was forced to sternly demand that he get off my property immediately to which he laughed in my faceThis refusal to leave (which other Horizon salespeople have also done) is illegal, and I will call the police next time it happensWe will never buy from your company, and at this point your employees are harrassing our family

Cancelled my contract with Horizon Solar under the time period allowed and today found out that they tried to process my loan through HERO still

Late October We had a service rep com from Horizon Solar Power and talk to us about Solar Panels we agreed to lease the panels We instructed *** the Rep that we needed a Dead Front for our electrical panel or a panel upgrade because when we purchased the house in August the home inspector told us that it would need one *** replied the field tech would note the Dead Front for the Panel So , field tech came went on the roof took measurements , checked the attic to see if it could handle the panel weight, then when he went to take pictures of the electrical panel , I told him of what was going on and it needed a dead front He said ok took notes and measurements
Installation date came and the men took two days to install the panels when I was promised one day It was done on a Thursday and a Tuesday of the following week Mind you when the sale rep was doing his pitch he said he would come by and make sure everything was running smoothly But, he failed he n

The sales agent under estimated our electric usage and we relied on his experience in estimating We should not be penalized by his mistake We paid $for a system to cover our electric usage We don't want to pursue this in court but may have to The system may have produced his estimate but the estimate was apparently too low, no excuse for that and we want them to correct our system without cost

Horizon is not understanding the issues after MONTHS of trying to resolve(1) A check was promised AT INSTALL which was three months ago, and WE had to reach out to get this resolved (2) the installation is faulty, we are producing the same as what's being used, which is due to faulty wiring - YOUR company has refused to come out and fix it or given us ANY notice that it was fixed, (3) after more than a MONTH of trying to figure out the check thing, we are BARELY now getting any headway and still no incentive check - it's been at it's processing for months now, when we were told it should only take "one or two days", "I'll expedite this myself", (4) after install of system there was a lack of communication as to when it would be switched over - fingers always pointing at utilities, when we were told by them that the Solar company had not finished what it needed to do "flip the switch' - it took more than a month to get someone to FINALLY explain what was going on and when we'd actuall

I have received over calls in the last months from them harrasing me calling and hanging up - calls alone today
GOOGLED their number ###-###-#### and its this solar company calling my daughters phone -- calls today
I called them at the number I had to ask -times to talk to a supervisor because the it that answered didnt get the point I was angry and wanted to talk to a manager
FINALLY spoke to manager ( at least he said he was) made up an excuse about software , promised to remove me from the list ( like last time)
MY phone company getting me a letter stating how manytimes this number called and I will be taking legal action against them in small claims court IF I GET one more call from them
I NEVER EVER called them about solar power for my yr old daughter or myself WE are on the do not call list
I doubt they will keep promise to stop calling since they LIED to me the last time

Horizon Solar Power sold me a year leaseThere salesman, Jeremy, sold me this leaseOne of my concerns was the fact that I Did Not Want Chinese Made Panels!!! I was assured by Jeremy that I was getting Top Quality Canadian Made PanelsThat is what sold me on this ground mount solar systemThe work crew that came out was outstandingThey did a very good job setting up a very good looking systemHowever, on the back of the Panels it says Made in China with Chinese Cells for a Canadian Company!!! Really?!!! Boy oh Boy talk about being Deceived!!! I have let the company know my feelings and have only gotten a response that they were disappointed in my satisfaction

Steve came and sold us on purchasing solar in May and it is now Dec and we are still not up and runningWe were told by Steve that if we needed anything or had questions to just call him and he'll take care of the problemUpon calling him about why we still weren't up and running it seemed our calls were turned over to SunrunOur installation was not approved by SDG&EDue to box not in correct placeSunrun sent out workers to change position of boxWe asked them to repair the holes left and they did but did not match the stucco coloring! We have called the person who is supposedly monitoring our system( numerous times) to get this all figured outNow our calls are not being returnedEach time I call it's always a different person and when we ask for our monitoring person there's always some excuse, out to lunch or on another line and we will forward your message and they will get back to youYeah right! I find this company a disgrace and embarrassingMy neighbors ask how our solar is going and we have to tell them we're not running yetI will never recommend this company! I am to the point of having to ask for removal of the whole thing and give us our 4500.dollars we paid up frontThe only positive point is they did send us our Dollar incentive checkNot a happy camper!!!!

Received multiple Robo Calls from this company on my cell phone I am registered on the Do Not Call List I called them back feigning interest in solar and was told by Brittany that they have a call center with employees

Horizon Solar Power installed a Sunrun solar system in Their pounding of our roof caused the flashing in a portion of the within five feet of the panels to come looseNot only has Horizon Solar Power refused to fix the issue they caused, they claim that the damage was pre-existing, yet they failed to notify us of the damage
Their assessment of responsibility involved sending out a two man crew to take pictures of the damage from inside the attic instead of looking at the roof
As a result of waiting on Horizon Solar to act, water has infiltrated our back walls and has now caused mold to appear and has become a greater health issue than if they had acted responsibly from the start
