Buyer Beware; replace battery on iPhone that limited functionality.
After my iPhone 11 gave me a warning that my battery health was getting somewhat low, I looked in to getting an appointment with the Apple store to get it replaced for $89, but it was for an inconvenient time. While I was in the Mall at Wellington Green, I entered iFixandRepair and asked them if they could do it. The employee, John, was very friendly and indicated he could get it done in about 20 minutes. Great! I left it for them to complete it.

Upon picking it up, there were error messages on the phone indicating incompatibility and the phone was no longer able to show battery health status. The error messages would not go away. John told me if I wanted to see info on battery health, I would need to plug the phone into iTunes.

I left the store and returned about 30 minutes later indicating that I was not happy with the end result. Had John told me that functionality would be limited before hand, I wouldn't have had them do the work.

I asked him to remove the battery they installed and replace it with the original, which he did. When asked about a refund, he picked up the phone to call his manager. When I got on the phone, she calmly told me there are no refunds, even though I was misled (intentionally or not). She kept stating it is not policy to provide refunds. I admit that I got irate as I thought I was in the right and was quite surprised that a manager was not empowered to deviate from policy to right a wrong. She directed me to email the local management so they could "open a case." I also sent the same email to iFixandRepair corporate. Corporate's initial response was, "This is not by any means reflective of the #iFixandRepair standards of service and customer satisfaction." I was hopeful.

They responded several days later with, "The store has replied to your case. You have accepted our policy to work on your phone, so we cannot give you a refund in this case, but you still can go to the store for a free diagnostic." Further the store indicated "Employee provided with all information about battery and the warranty on it."

This is a false statement. At no point was I made aware of, orally or in writing that functionality would be limited and I would have this constant error message. This certainly would not have been the case had I brought the phone to Apple.

Bottom line is I feel I was ripped off of $106 as they refused to make things right.

Buyer beware. Make sure to ask thorough questions up front. Don't count on them to be transparent.

This store is commiting fraud. Went in to get iPad screen replaced they said it should only be 2 days. They called back and said they sent it to HQ to get fixed. I called HQ and they said they never got an IPad under my name and the regional manager would investigate. The manager called me and said it is broken beyond repair and they will order me new IPad and should get it in 2 weeks. I called the regional manager and he will not answer my question as to why the manager said it was sent to HQ when it wasn't. Then he tells me how the manager has to pay out of pocket and we won't get the iPad for another 2 weeks. I call the manager and he says it's delayed because that's his earliest convenience to pick it up. Long story short the regional manager calls and yells at me and calls me names then the day before I'm supposed to pick it up manager calls me asking for my apple ID and password ** he can trade the pad in. He refuses to meet me at the apple store after he said he has an appointment then cancels it to meet his friend from apple store before store opens. Yes I was confused too. My brother is a cop and he had to get involved because they were gonna delay me picking it up another 3 days.
Don't ever go here they have a lawsuit against them from a former employee and have multiple complaints. Save yourself the money and frustration.

company was suppose to change battery on tablet. destroyed the tablet and is unfixable.Took the tablet to Ifix Dec. 29 to have the battery replaced. was told it would be fixed in 10 business days. after 10 business days I contacted Ifix and was told it would be longer. it took a total of 32 days and when I pressed to be able to pick up the tablet, I was told the battery replacement did not work and the tablet does not work anymore. I took the tablet to another technician and after his inspection he discover the tablet's power switch was broke by Ifix during their replacement of the battery. Also, the battery they claimed to replace was not replaced, it still had the factory seal on the batteries in the tablet. I was charged a 28.00 inspection fee and was returned a tablet that was destroyed beyond repair by Ifix. when I called the manager about the damage, he told me, "it was like that when they opened it" I find this hard to believe, because it had never been opened by anyone since it was purchased. I have tried to get retribution but they have been very dishonest and very unprofessional. This company needs to be investigated for dishonest practices. Desired SettlementI want this company to be honest. I want them not to cheat others. I want them to replace the tablet they destroyed and lied about. My daughter lost all of her files for school and all of her mission pictures, because of this company. I want them to replace my daughters tablet.

Complaint They destroyed my camera on my phone leaving me unable to capture any precious and candid moments with my phone. In June I took my note 4 there to have a rear camera lens replaced. While the repair was removing the lens from my phone using a heating tool he melted plastic onto my rear camera lens which destroyed one of best features of my $700.00 phone. I waited three weeks for them to decided to order a camera for my phone. Waited weeks for the camera to one in.Took it in to be fixed was told that my screen could be broken in this process. End of September still waiting on screen.Unable to capture precious and candid memories with my phone. Desired SettlementIt's been to long if not replace my $700 phone. Fix it immediately and they will never hear from or see me again.

I went in to Ifix it in February to repair and [redacted]. I was told my charging port and my battery need to be replaced.I went in to Ifix it in Late January to repair and [redacted]. I was told my charging port and my battery need to be replaced. Shortly after getting the phone fixed (about a week and a half) the phone started to have charging issues and I notice the screen placement was off. I called the repair shop and one of the employees told me that they did not have any batteries for the [redacted]. I inquired about the screen and I was told to be careful with the screen and to wait to bring it in until the received batteries for the [redacted]. It is now April 15, I have called weekly, biweekly sometimes every few days to check on [redacted] batteries. I have spoke to management and I get the same answer we will get some in Thursday, Friday at the latest and someone will call. No one ever calls. They have a warranty on their products and I think it 30 or 60 days whatever the case my warranties up and I still haven't received a word about when they will be able to fix the phone. The screen was placed fine before they repaired the phone and the battery they place in my phone only lasted a week. I paid over $100 for these services and I would like to have my phone repaired if they cannot do this I would like a refund. Desired SettlementI just want my phone fixed. If it cannot be done a partial or full refund would be acceptable.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I still haven't been contacted by IFix it. No one ever called to inform me about a new shipment of [redacted] 5 batteries.

Failed to repair cell phone. Company cannot supply part as promised. Will not issue refund. Does not communicate with customer. I was asked to prepay $100.00 fro a screen. They said it would be in within 10 days. I waited 30days and heard nothing. Called store to be told they just received part. Dropped my phone off. I went to pick it up the next day and the part was wrong. I asked for a refund since it had been 30 days. They had to ask the manager. I heard nothing. I called back several times the next day. I finally spoke to[redacted] the manager. She said she would have to call her vendor to see if they would refund her for the wrong part before she could issue me a refund on a special order. If she cannot supply the part (special or not) then I am entitled to a refund. I am still waiting on her to call me back. Desired SettlementI want a refund. They do not communicate with customers. They are unprofessional. I do not want to deal with this store again.

iFixandRepair significantly damaged an[redacted] mini left for minor repairs. My wife brought our daughter's[redacted] mini in to the Oak Court location of iFixandRepair with a minor crack in the screen but otherwise fully functional. The initial attempt to fix it resulted in a worse break to the replacement screen. Subsequent attempts also failed, rendering the[redacted] completely inoperable after three weeks of "service". During the time iFixandRepair had the device, we were continually kept in the dark as to the status of the repair, on multiple occasions being assured that it would be finished within a day. Finally, we retrieved the device, inoperable and in pieces, without any compensation for the device other than a refund for the $200 of "repair" work that was supposed to have been done. Had we wanted a working replacement, the manager said we would need to wait another 7 weeks for a refurbished device (they apparently don't provide new replacements for devices they break). Note the manager, [redacted], was not at the store's location - our understanding is that she is the regional manager and only agreed to speak to me after disregarding a text message, a voice message and two attempts to speak to me through the technician on site.I have since brought the broken device to another company for repair.Desired SettlementAssuming I am able to have the device repaired at another company, I do not need any monetary settlement of this dispute. I would however, like an acknowledgment from the company (not the location or the regional manager), that the matter has been looked into, and to the extent they take action to ensure future customers do not experience the same damage, what those steps would be.

Broke/cracked brand new screen; damaged motherboardI was told my [redacted] would be ready the next day since I supplied the brand new screen to replace the old one. I received no communication from the business for a week, so I went back to the store. I was told they were still working on it and would call me. They never called me, I left several messages with no return calls. After two months, I went back to the store and they could not find my [redacted]. I had to go back the next day and then they told me they couldn't fix it. I took the [redacted] that was working fine before I took it to ifix to another store, where they told me the brand new screen was cracked and the motherboard was damaged, it was unsalvageable. I went back to complain to the original ifix store and the manager was to call me back. It has been a month and I have heard nothing. They damaged a $400 piece of electronics and take zero responsibility. I want other consumers to stay away. Desired SettlementI want them to replace the [redacted]hat they damaged, as it was working fine when I took it in the screen was only cracked. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I never paid the business since it was not fixed. They can contact me at [redacted]

This company charged $87.40 to fix my cracked phone screen but DID NOT do so. They refuse to give me a refund. My credit card was charged on 02/24/14. At first they said they'd get me a credit but that it had to go through a home office. Then they said they might need to charge me a tech fee but they'd get me a credit for the rest and they were not sure what that would be. I've been in several times to speak with the manager who is always in Nashville "because of problems with store employees". There is a young man that looks to be in his twenties (if) which usually opens the doors. I've been there at all times of the day trying to catch this woman. The [redacted] office will not comment nor get involved. I happen to know that I am not the only one to turn in a complaint. Another lady had given her phone to them to fix and at the time they would not return her phone after having it for several weeks. This store (I was later told) had been closed down for 3 days. The photo's from peoples phones were being stolen and used.I have spent about this much trying to get a refund. They know I do not live in [redacted] and I believe counted on me giving up. It does not take many trips into the city to use up $87.40 in gas. This company is a bad business that should be closed down for good.I found a web site for ifix and I did send a message about this store and my experience to them. However, I do not know if it was the a home office or just another store. The web site was strange and my email went somewhere in CA I think. There was no way to print or save the email done on that web site nor have I heard back from them.Product_Or_Service: 02/24/14Order_Number: noneAccount_Number: No number on receiptDesired SettlementI desire a refund. However, this business should be investigated and possible closed down. The lack of professional management and oversight in this business could result in someone's personal information being used for a number of reasons. You might start with the Mall office to see how many complaints they have received. I have first hand knowledge of two.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)They made the claim of a defective part the first time around and then made two more attempts to fix my phone. The phone still has my original cracked screen because these people were unable to make the repair. NO REPAIR WAS MADE TO MY PHONE and no refund was made to me for the uncompleted work. Therefore, I made no other attempts with other companies. I've already been out close to $90 plus gas and will not allow another company of this type to possibly steal from me again.

Review: I purchased a $79.99+ tax LifeProof case that I was unhappy with. Went back to return it- only to be told refunds aren't issued- no "expections" the receipt said. "Expections" isn't a word FYI. The sales guy proceeded to tell me with a nasty tone that it says so right on the sign-"the sign that you can't even notice to the far left of the cash register, customers can't see the sign where it's located". I also went on your website. And NOWHERE on your website does it even say that you don't issue refunds. I read the private policy and everything. I believe I'm entitled to a refund.

I hesitantly exchanged the LifeProof case for a $40 Speck case, a $30 screen protector, and $10 headphones. Only to get home and realize the salesperson gave me the wrong screen protector. I told him I had an iPhone 5s. He handed me a screen protector for who knows what kind of device. I wasn't even given a receipt for the exchange. I was just told I was "put in the system". I am still owed my tax back.

As a business professional- I'm actually appalled a business like this is in operation. It's businesses like this that are making America mediocre. As a business, you are selling a product and or providing a service. If a customer or a client isn't happy with your product or service they have every right to be issued a refund or exchange. I took the exchange! and your employees couldn't even do that right! I was given the wrong product.

I called to speak to the manager to see if he will just give me a refund because I was inconvenienced so substantially by this. He as well said only exchanges are issued. His English was awful-"he must be the one who thinks expections is a word". I couldn't understand a word he was saying. I then emailed customer service a week ago. Still haven't received a reply.

I don't want to do business with your company, your business practices are shady, your sales staff AND management are subpar. I just want a refund. I want my $85.89 back. And we will part ways amicably.

Thank you.Desired Settlement: $85.89
