Impact Nutraceuticals Reviews (91)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
However, I will never recommend or endorse your company or your products. It's evident by looking at other consumer complaints filed here, that your company is clearly not a business of customer service, or of integrity. This is definitely a "BUYER BEWARE" post to warn others.
Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I never used this product.  their response said that I benefited from their product.  however, how can they say I benefited from their product if I have never used.  second, this product has side effects and drug interactions with other drugs.  the reason I have not used it is because I needed to check with my doctor to see if the drug interaction was applicable in my case.  finally, I looked this product online to see the reviews written about it.   here is the link that shows all the negative reviews that are stated about this product. The way I understood their policy was that if I tried the product [redacted] for 14 days, I can subscribe for monthly refills.  I thought that was a voluntary order not an automatic one.  Since I have not even used the product yet, how can I say that I wanted more or not.  this company is hiding behind their legal mambo jumbo and threatened to take legal actions against me when I tried to resolve this matter amicably.  they simply wanted their $50.00 regardless to whether I used the product or not.  I still have the 30 pills in the bottle it cam in as proof that I did not even try to take this drug, especially after reading the reviews.  here is a link that shows the many complaints about this company:[redacted]
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Sincerely,
[redacted]    Thay just assumed that, all I saw was 30 day trial for $2.95, I never would have agrred to a monthly supply, when I never even tried the product! Doesn't make sense! They use this for an excuse to trap you into it. I was wrongly charged for the product, and want the $49.90 credited to my checking account!

Everything is very clearly and transparently disclosed. See all previous responses. We have the recorded calls which unerringly document the customer's threat to falsify her experience. As such we will not grant a refund and will prosecute any instance of libel.

Review: I was solicited to take a sample offer of product [redacted] for $2.95 for trial basis followed by auto ship of product later for $49.90. I thought when I signed up for the trial sample I immediately cancelled the autoship part as I am aware of how you can get caught inadvertently with unwanted future ships. I rec'd product of 10/29/14 with no indication/paper work saying additional shipments were pending, that I had a deadline to meet, or that there was in fact a 100% money back guarantee so I assumed my cancellation via email had gone through on that first day of order. later on 11/17 another shipment arrived which once I saw the return address immediately refused never opened. I then went on line again to reinterate my desire to discontinue any further shipments. The account was closed at this point but the company refuses to issue credit for the product I never accepted and was returned unopened. They say this is all stated in the terms of agreement that was checked in box when I took the sample order.

I am well educated and not a novice to internet sales practices but feel unjustly wronged here. I never received an initial order confirmation nor sufficient information in that first shipment. Although buried in the "terms" I feel the terms even on second reading quite ambiguous and misleading. On one hand at the beginning it says 100% money back guarantee with no questions

asked and much later says will not accept returns. It seems this company makes no effort to be very clear when you agree to the initial sample.

If that weren't bad enough now being charged a total of $49.90+2.95 for only 30 tablets let me say these pills do nothing. Reviews listed of the product on their website only show positive feedback and none of negative feedback. I tried to leave negative feedback and it didn't work. Talking to them on the phone the phone kept getting a lot of static and cutting out making it difficult to talk. following the phone conversation I received emails threatening me with legal actions if I complained furthur through other channels.

please note on the next page I can only give you customer order # from sample shipment as I never opened the second shipment.

Please note that there are multiple complaints about this very same issue on the internet that I have found since encountering these difficulties myself. I am not the first one to fall victim.Desired Settlement: I have asked for my money to be refunded for the drugs returned unopened but most of all I want the practices of this company changed and other customers to be forewarned of the "fine print".

Response:

This customer's accusations are simply untrue. We have had numerous correspondence with this customer. Initially she stated that she thought she had canceled her subscription, but now wanted to be certain the subscription is canceled. We immediately complied, and the customer received a cancellation email the same business day.

Review: I visited the website looking for anxiety formulas to buy. They advertised a "Two Week Trial" for $2.95. The product is A2X pills. Now they have billed my debit card $49.90 for 30 pills. There was no mention of a subscription service with the trial. I am able to return the product as it has not been touched since I received it. I am requesting a full refund because I would not have signed up for the trail knowing it was a subscription service. That is really not a product trial.Thank [redacted]

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2013/07/17) */

This client made these false accusations against us approximately two days ago and received a prompt response detailing all of the ways the website clearly explains the promotion as part of a monthly subscription. She simply ignores the facts presented to her in print. Last correspondence included again below:

See numerous examples below from the website clearly stating the trial is only available as a subscription. Please consider this email our final response to you:

Main page (www.a2xanxiety.com)

After the initial 14-day trial, we will send you a new supply each

month for the discounted price of $39.95 per month plus $9.95 S&H so

that the natural ingredients can continue to promote relaxation and

emotional well-being. We recommend allowing A2X to work over 90 to 120

days to allow the natural ingredients to gently calm anxious feelings,

nervousness, and stress. But you can still cancel at any time with no

questions asked and never pay another penny.

Bottom of every page:

Placing an order indicates that you understand and agree to our Terms

and Conditions. Signing up for our 14-Day Trial for $2.95 S&H also

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

Hello--I think the response above is quite rude and uncalled for. I am a well educated adult and I read the purchases I make very thoroughly. There was no clear mention of a subscription service with this trial. My position is this is not a "trial" if there are strings attached and I suggest this is false advertising and bait and switch. I will continue to pursue this issue because I think this company's rude response is evidence of their business and customer service policies. [redacted]

Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2013/07/22) */

Certainly it is absurd for a customer to determine a company's product or offering, yet that is exactly what this customer repeatedly argues for. She accepts only her definition of a trial and willfully ignores the clear presentation of the offer. Unfortunately, we cannot do more for this customer than point to the repeated statements explaining the terms of the offer included again below:

Review: I purchased a 14 trial of the product[redacted] on January 2, 2015 and did not receive the product until one week later, which the 14 day trial should then begin. I called to cancel my order knowing that Impact Nutraceuticals would be charging my card $39.95 + $9.95 (shipping) for the next 30 day order. I called this morning to cancel my order (knowing that I still had not entered away from my 14 day trial period). I was told that my trial ended yesterday and that my card had already been charged and that there was no way for her to reverse the charge at this point and that she would have a manger contact me.. I received a call from one of their mangers to discuss my dispute. He was unwilling to reverse this charge that was charged this morning and could be easily credited (I spoke with my credit card company and they told me that the charged could be reversed). I am writing today to let you know that this company is (by fine print) stealing from their customers. It was said in LARGE BOLD LETTERS that this is a 14 DAY TRIAL PERIOD and in fact it's only been 12 days since I received the product to try. I do not believe that this company could not reverse a charge that was done today and that they are selling a product that that you can even see results within the 14 day trial period (it say's 90-120 days on the website). I was also not told by the manger of the 30 day money back guarantee (minus shipping charges) if I was not completely satisfied with the product. I will be disputing this charge on my credit card once it has cleared. This company can choose to ignore this complaint (the manager didn't seem to care that I would be writing to the Revdex.com) but I just want it to be noted for future customers that this company is NOT REPUTABLE and does not care about the actual product improving the customers well being and that they indeed only care about stealing from your credit card the minute they can.Desired Settlement: Since this is a 30 day supply that I am being charged for. I would like for Impact Nutraceuticals to refund me the $39.95 refund guarantee (minus the $9.95 shipping charge) stated on their website for regular orders.

Business

Response:

The trial is only available as a monthly subscription which is made very clear numerous times on the website. The site also clearly explains that the 30 day money back guarantee does not apply to additional shipment of the autoship trial program. I have attached the checkout page which reiterates all terms in detail in the Order Summary section.

Review: this company collected $2.95 on 3/23/2015 for a product by the name of [redacted] for a trial purposes. However, today. they charged my account for $49.95 for monthly subscription which I did not authorize. I called the company to dispute the charge, but they refused to refund. I was not aware of this ongoing monthly charges. I cancelled all future charges, but, they still won't refund the $49.95. I believe this was false advertisement.Desired Settlement: I wish for the company to refund me the $49.95 monthly charge which I was not aware was applicable.

Business

Response:

This customer specifically ordered, and benefited from, the monthly subscription we offer. The terms are made abundantly clear numerous times on the site. Please see below and attached for supporting documentation. As such, we cannot offer a refund.

Review: I called this company on Jan 4th 2013 to cancel my subscription of their product. I left a message on their answering machine. I called a second time on Jan 22nd @ 2:35 pm , after I received another pkg of their product. I did not open this pkg, due to the fact that I wanted my money back. They had charged my debit account for $49.90 for this shipment. I also left a message on their answering machine , as to the fact that I did not want their product and I wanted my money back. After no response to my phone messages, I e-mailed them on Jan 23rd @ 3:45 pm. They stated they never heard from me, and would not give me my money back. I told them the pkg was never opened so their product was never tampered with. I have saved these e-mails on my computer.Desired Settlement: I want the entire amount of $49.90 credited back to my debit account.

Business

Response:

We previously corresponded with this customer. Her claim that she previously contacted us by phone simply is not true. As soon as the client did contact us by email (which we have time and date stamped) she received a prompt response.

Review: I ordered the 14 day trial and paid $2.95 postage. A good advertising trick, I guess! The ad said if I called in a certain # of days I would not be sent the next month's shipment. Well, I did, but they sent it anyway . I phoned them to ask exactly how and where to return it. The person on the phone said "according to our policies we do not accept returns or make refunds". I read their "terms and condition" and it was hilarious-defensive and impolite from the first sentence on. Had I read that first-which I know I should have- I would have closed that web site and never done business with them. BUT I did bad! They now tell me, in a very strange way, that I have to pay them $49.90 now "and then going forward you are not indebted to us. All is well, you are free and clear! ". Duh! I did not ask for her name, another bad of mine. Can you get them off the internet? And what can I do? My request is to get all my money back and know they can't do this to other people.Desired Settlement: $49.90 plus $2.95

Business

Response:

This customer's complaint is factually false in several respects. First, she ordered a 14 day trial with monthly subscription on 12/22/14 and was sent the next shipment on 1/10/15. Her subscription ended on 1/10. That is also the date of the next shipment. She did not contact us to cancel until she spoke with a representative on 1/15/15 at 4:26PM EST which was significantly outside the trial period.

Review: I have cancelled the product and despite never opening the bottle the company is still looking to charge me for unused product. I have called and cancelled and today another bottle arrived. I simply don't want the product, it is in its unused packaging and just want my $49.90 credited back. The woman on the phone today was extremely rude, didn't allow me to speak to anyone else and wasn't able to resolve the situation. Later in the afternoon I received a threatening call from a [redacted]. I originally ordered the product to help relieve stress and the only thing this company has done is create more stress with their poor customer service and aggressive tacticsDesired Settlement: I just want to return the product and get my money back. It is unused and unopened

Business

Response:

The trial is clearly presented as a monthly subscription for which we do not provide returns after the trial period has elapsed. In the case of this customer, the trial is significantly expired.

Review: I ordered health pills from IMPACT NUTRACEUTICAIS LLC. I was let to believe that if I ordered a sample pills, and if they worked and I was satified that they realy worked. Then I can order a supply of these pill. I got the sample pill free all I had to do was pay the postage of $3.09. Which I did. I ordered the sample pills and they withdrew the amout of $3.08. It tool almost 3 weeks for me to get the pill. I had just taken three of theses pill. Hardly any time to find out if the pill realy work. When I checked my bank account on the 19th of Aptil for a supply of pill that I did not oreder. I contacted them. They told me that they do nor refund money on the health pill because of the possibility that they have been tampered with. How can a person tamper with pill in a sealed packag. They have already shiped these pill automatically. With out me giving them the authority to do so. How can they do this? Is there anything that can be done about it? They have just taken $52.62 for pill I did not order.

Hello,

We have previously corresponded with this customer explaining that the trial offer is very clearly presented only as part of a monthly subscription. Further, the trial starts from the date of order, not receipt. At the end of our correspondence the customer admits fault that he did not properly understand the offer or trial time. Please see correspondence below:

Certainly not. The transaction was completely authorized:

Dear [redacted],

Thank you for getting back to me

There is a problem with this free trial of yours. I only got the pill on 04/ 19. That is 5 days ago. So the question is, how is it possible for me to have the 14 day free tail? I had only had then 5 days now to try them. Do you think that is fair? I am not trying to unreasonable here. I just want to be treated fairly here. So how can you send me pills with out hearing from me first. I have not even had the chance to try out the pill in 14 days.

Yours truly

Thank you for you response to my e-mail. I did not know that it was from the date it was sent. Thank you for correcting me on that.

Review: I contacted Impac Nutraceuticals about a trial offer on their a2x product. When it ended up requiring using my card card with automatic shipping/billing, I canceled the order. Impacwent ahead and processed the order and started billing my account. Phone calls to them go to a prerecorded message to send them requests via email. Emails are never responded to and the billing continues.Desired Settlement: Refund or credits to charge card, cancellation of orders and a way to send this stuff back

Business

Response:

The trial the customer ordered is only available as a subscription. The customer did not cancel her subscription until after her trial had expired (the new shipment was sent on 12/20, and the customer did not contact us until 12/26), and a new shipment had been sent out.

Review: I received the 14-Day Free Trial. I was shipped and charged $49.90 for another full bottle before the 30-day money back guarantee.

I have contacted this company and I am being told that I "need" to read everything. If they have a money back guarantee they should honor it. Desired Settlement: I wish to have the $49.90 refunded to me and I would like this company to provide a prepaid return envelope for me to send back the unopened bottle of the A2Anxiety product. And, I want the "automatic" deduction from my checking account stopped.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2013/06/05) */

This customer is entirely at fault. She has changed her complaint to the Revdex.com from her original argument to our company. First of all to address the Revdex.com complaint, the customer ordered a trial with monthly subscription (which is clearly stated numerous times throughout our website, www.a2xanxiety.com.) The trial does not carry a 30 day money back guarantee. We do offer full price one-time bottles which are backed by a 30 day money back guarantee, however this client did not select that option.

She was referred to the specific portions of the website that repeatedly state the differences in the two offers, but responded that she does not "need to read everything."

Further, this client initially made up an absolutely absurd lie in an attempt to defraud us of our rightful charge.

She claimed that "someone" stole her identity to order our product, then staked out her physical address and stole the product from her front porch. Thus, she never received the product. She also stated that she sent us an email requesting cancellation of her subscription, but this email "disappeared."

When the utter absurdity of this story was pointed out to her, she responded aggressively that our company was a "scam." When asked why she would submit an email requesting cancellation (which of course never existed) for a product she claims she never ordered or received, she had no answer.

I have included her email below. This customer has now abandoned her ridiculous story in this complaint to the Revdex.com. However, her claims are still inaccurate. As such, we will not refund the charge. Please see her original email below:

Someone ordered one of your products using my information. I have had several problems with this from all sorts of companies! I had requested a cancellation and apparently it has "disappeared." I was charged $49.90 on 5/28. I want this amount refunded at once. I have not received any extra shipments of the product, nor do I want any. I will expect the refund ASAP!

Response when directly asked how we should seriously consider such a ridiculous story:

[redacted] via a2xanxiety.com

to A2X

Well, I don't know what to say. What part do you not understand? Someone was able to get my card information, order the products, have them shipped to my address, and checked my mail daily to get the products before I checked my mail. I have a locked mailbox so packages are placed on my front porch. I did not order this product. I don't know what else to say. I would really appreciate a refund due to this situation. If that is not possible, what is?? Half of it? I don't know. [redacted]

Review: I purchased a free trial of a product of A2X anxiety from this site with the impression that once I exhausted the 14 day trial and decided if it worked for me or not that I would be able to purchase further. Nowhere was it explained to me on this website: [redacted] that I would automatically be billed, or furthermore that no refund was available. It is to my understanding upon further investigation of the site after the events that took place that they have a link to terms and services all the way at the bottom of the site that better explains this. However, lets be honest, how many people actually read that? Furthermore, why was it not clearly stated on the main site where I was placing the order? If I had been made aware of that from the start I would have never purchased this product. To go into my bank account without my further authorization, or notification just seems unethical. There reasoning for not allowing a refund is because they can't accept a possibly tampered package back. However, these pills have a factory seal around it that would indicate if it was tampered with or not, not to mention the protective foil under the cap as per the trial shipment.I am more than willing to return the product to them. I just want the money they took without my authorization. $49.90Desired Settlement: As stated above, I want the full amount of $49.90 credited to my account. That includes shipping and handling. Furthermore this company should save a little trouble for the next person and clearly specify this practice on their main page so no one else makes ill informed purchases. 32 complaints? And that's not counting complaints seen on scamreport and elsewhere on the internet.

Business

Response:

This customer is incorrect in all accusations. We have previously corresponded with this customer (I am happy to provide the emails) explaining the situation until he started using profanity and issuing threats. We informed him that we would break off all contact until he was willing to communicate professionally.

Review: I want to stop monthly deliveries and this company gives false numbers and email addresses in order to drain my bank account monthly for supplements that were for a free trial only. They make it impossible to cancel!!! They owe my over $100.00 for these pills they charged me for!!

They exhibit extreme unethical practices and I will get legal advice next if this phony company doesn't respond to this complaint and cancel this bogus free trial!!Desired Settlement: Stop the monthly deliveries, refund my money, and cancel the fake free trial!

Business

Response:

The accusations in this complaint are libelous. There has never been a single instance of phone interruption on either of the phone numbers displayed ([redacted] or ###-###-####.)

Review: Like everyone else, I was conned into a repeating order. I ordered from an on line ad, not there web, and I read everything to make sure this wasn't a repeating order. THEN I got shifted over to their website where the apparently was where there info on a repeating order is. Since I had already ordered the trial I had no reason to look at it. This was verified by [redacted], the sales woman, whohelped me when I called to complain and cancel the order. Very clever.Desired Settlement: I received 2 orders. I have been bed ridden with a broken back and unaware of this until the second order arrived. I want my. $99.80 returned to my credit card.

Business

Response:

This customer is mistaken in several respects.

First, it is not possible to order our product (or any other product) over the internet directly from an advertisement. All advertisements, when clicked, forward the customer to a landing page (in this case the company website, [redacted].) At that point the offer is fully explained numerous times that the trial is only available as a monthly subscription (we also offer a non-subscription full price option for those customers who do not want monthly shipments.)

Review: This does not work. I have a nutritionist, a naturopath AND a neurologist that all say these ingredients should have helped help with a neuroendocrine issue. Yet it is like I took nothing at all. Because of my serious conditions, I thought I just needed longer for A2X to work for me. Five weeks taking it and nothing. It was very difficult, to say the least, forgoing prescription medication while my doctors helped me look for an alternative.

A2X refused to refund any purchases, ever. It's in the trial order contract so fine. I get that. My fault for not reading the fine print. EXCEPT THAT THEY ARE COMMITTING FRAUD.

While on the phone with them, they informed me I had a shipment get returned to them (I moved). They refused to refund even that order, but said they would send it to my new address. She was so disrespectul and rude. I am disabled, plus had to get out of an abusive situation quick and she criticized me, talked down to me. She refused to give me a corporate address or phone number. I accepted my responsibility in the matter and she STILL was cruel. I never did get that shipment. Granted it is now 8 months later, I just came out of a literal 6 month medical relapse, and Im trying to take care of some business.

I sent them an email stating that since I was not allowed to return the bottle that was returned to them, I opted to receive another shipment to my new address and that I did not receive it. They are aware of both the disability and the abuse (I wouldn't have advertised these things, but it shows the crudeness if this company).

Their response...

"This statement does not even begin to describe the situation. This matter was taken care of 8 months ago. Please move on with your life. Everything was explained to you at that time."Desired Settlement: They should not be allowed to make false claims and I believe I and many others should get our money back. Me, a full refund for 3 bottles plus the cost of shipping. The product A2X that they are selling is not what is listed on the label.

Business

Response:

This customer's complaint does not make much sense, so I am at a loss as to how to respond. First, the customer states that a nutritionist, naturopath, and physician recommended the ingredients in the product (which are rigorously tested by our lab to GMP standards.) However, the customer then accuses us very vaguely of "fraud." The customer then states that she knowingly signed up to have the product delivered monthly and was aware of the terms and conditions excluding returns.

Review: I ordered a 14-day trial from the website [redacted] for $2.95 on January 12th/2015, which I received late-January. However, it wasn't clearly stated that my credit card would be charged for another 30 day supply ($39.95 + tax) automatically. When I saw my credit card statement I called the company and they refused to give me a refund despite the fact that the product is unopened and still in the original shipping packaging! They weren't willing to work with me towards finding a solution, nor were they able to give me a credible reason as to why they would not give a refund for an unopened & unused product with the safety seal still on. I spoke to both an employee and a manager and after the whole ordeal I feel completely taken advantage of. This company clearly doesn't stand behind their product and after everything, they seem like they are trying to take advantage of good, hardworking people (such as students like myself). Additionally, the website states that the charge would be $39.99, yet my credit card was charged $65.32 and it says on the homepage "cancel at any time".Desired Settlement: provide a refund for unopened product

Response:

This customer's complaint is factually false in several respects. First, the terms of the offer (as well as the return policy) are made very clear. Numerous examples are listed below and attached. Second, this customer already received an in-depth answer as to why we cannot receive returned product while speaking with a representative and a manager on a recorded line. Third, as stated during a recorded conversation the price of the product is listed in USD as $39.95 + $9.95 shipping and handling equaling $49.90 USD. The discrepancy is the exchange rate between USD and Canadian Dollars. Lastly, we would never confer preferential status or break company policy for a customer based on age, race, or as this customer argues - educational status. To do so is illegal.

I wanted to try out the "free trial" product to see if it helped with my anxiety. The day that the trial bottle of pills arrived, I took one and realized that it did not agree with me at ALL!! I called the company the same day, only to find out that they had shipped another bottle shortly after the first, and that I WAS FORCED TO PAY THE $49.95 for a second bottle, which I had tried to cancel. Their policy states that they ship the first bottle within 3 days, which I don't believe they did, or I would have received it in time to cancel the second bottle that I decided I didn't want. They were short with me, telling me that I had agreed to their policy and although I returned the second bottle would not be getting a refund. I believe that this company is getting a lot of their business by shipping out another bottle shortly after the "free trial" so that the buyer doesn't have a chance to try the product before they are forced to pay the $49.95 for a second bottle of their product. My doctor advised me NOT to take this supplement for anxiety because of medications I am already taking, so it has been a total waste for me. The company is not the least bit caring or willing to help with the issue. I expect this is because most of their profit comes from getting people to 'try' the free amount and shipping the second bottle immediately after the first, assuring that they are paid the amount to cover the cost of both bottles.
