Review: On October 27, 2014 I ordered a copy of "A Textile Guide to the Highlands of Chiapas" from Indoo.com. The book was to be mailed to me at my house in [redacted] and I paid $15.16 for the book and $16.95 for shipping. I was notified that the order shipped on October 29, 2014, but the order, no. 103-9###-###-####000, never arrived (a first for me here in Mexico).

I contacted the seller on January 2, and was sent a message that there would be a postal trace ordered for the book and that they would get back to me as soon as they heard from the post office.

The seller never contacted me. On April 13, 2015, I contacted the seller again about the refund, and Indoo said that it was waiting to hear back from the post office.

I contacted them again on April 28, and again they responded that they were waiting to hear from the post office.

I contacted them yet again on May 7, to, again, receive the same response.

It is now more than six months since I ordered the book and I cannot help but feel that this company a. never sent the book, and b. is giving me the runaround until I give up.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded my money, and I would like Indoo to be known for its bad business practices so that others do not experience what I did.

I am rejecting this response because this is a tactic that they have been using with me, and now with you. They respond in this way so that their internet trail reflects that the responsibility rests in the hands of the post office, and they are not showing any details about their request to the post office, i.e. tracking number or details about USPS responses to them. Before I filed my complaint to Amazon and to you at the Revdex.com, I searched online to see if there were other people who were unhappy with this company. On one website, pissedconsumer.com, there were 36 people who had the same experience that I had. I believe that Indoo.com is an unethical business and is keeping up appearances of legitimacy by responding as it has. Nearly seven months since the order and non-receipt of my book, I am still without my book or my refund. I think they are crooks.

Review: I ordered a book from [redacted], where a Indoo.Com is listed as having the book as available for the class that I am going to take and start on Feb 02, 2015. The book was ordered on 20th of January under one transaction by [redacted]. Under this transaction there are two text books being ordered, one from [redacted], and one from Indoo.Com. Three days after placing my order (paid book price & shipping), I received the book from [redacted]. However, the one from Indoo, has not arrived yet. I was trying to contact them, thru email and phone number, and they are not responding. I did some research about this Indoo.com online, and to my surprise there were so many negative complaints. Now, I doubt that I am ever going to get the book from them, nor I will ever get my money back. I have a class starting on Feb 02, 2015, 6 days from now. I don't want to spend another dime on a book that I already ordered, since the price on this book don't come cheap. And I don't have the money to throw around on book that I already paid for. I am still trying to contact the company, but I'm just not getting anything from them, since they are not answering my phone calls, and not responding to my emails. If I knew, before ordering from them, that there have been so many complaints against them, I should never have bought anything from them.

I hope they get put out of business, so they wont have to cause incoveniece to people anymore.Desired Settlement: I want my book delivered to my house before the start of my class, Feb 02, 2015. If you can't do that, I want a full refund.

I'd like to thank you for contacting that business. They responded to my emails after you contacted them. I finally got my book!! My class starts on Monday, 02 Feb 15. Review: I ordered a book from them in September 2013. Before it was delivered, I discovered that my professor had posted the wrong book information, so I did not need this book. I immediately emailed customer service and told them it had not been delivered - how should I handle it, should I just refuse delivery? They said No, return it to them and I would get 85% of purchase price back (email inserted.....................)

Review: I purchased a book from this website called INDOO,??but through Alibris website. The Percy Jackson book immediately had a few pages falling out. I sent them an email and eventually they instructed me to send it back, they would refund the shipping charges, and send me a new replacement book. Now that they have my book, they won't send me a new one. Saying the book is fine and they sent me a partial refund. For what I don't know. Review: I ordered the "3rd Edition Biology: Concepts and Investigations" book off [redacted] from [redacted] and not only did it take several days for them to send me a shipping confirmation, they continue to refuse to provide me with the [redacted] Media Mail tracking information even though I've asked them several times. Each response is generic and does not address my concerns and I have now submitted a dispute with my bank to get my money back since I have not received the book, do not have the tracking information, and the delivery date stated is a two week time frame which doesn't make any sense based on the shipping time I paid for.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the total amount I paid for this which is $108.69

Review: I ordered books on 5/22 and was told they were shipped on 5/26 via USPS. The total amount of the purchase was $37.49. I've been contacting them by email regarding tracking of the shipment and I keep getting the same "canned" response. There is no way the books should take that long to arrive at my location since I could actually drive there and pick them up in a few hours. I also contacted the carrier (United States Postal Services) and they have no record of any packages being shipped to my address.Desired Settlement: Full refund of the $37.49 spent on the books.

Review: I purchased a book which has been awaiting delivery for 16 months. My requests for information are unanswered and are responded to with meaningless autotext, which reads

This is the same meaningless response I've been receiving from Indoo from the start. Of course, as the auto-text suggests, I have had questions and have replied countless times with the faint hope that a human response will come in kind: 1: When do you expect to hear back from the "post office"? 2. Why do you not have any tracking information - and how do you expect to track packages without it? 3. Why can you not provide any proof that the package was sent?

4: Why do you refuse to answer the above questions and only give me a meaningless response?

Alas, Indoo is a terribly managed company with no respect for the business that Amazon gives them.

Review: I ordered a book off these guys On Sept. 30 from Amazon (their store is called Allnewbooks) based on their information they were based in New Jersey. 10 days later, I still have not received the book. Yes, Amazon gives the standard 14 business days for every transaction. But it should not take this long for a domestic package one state over. It is literally a 5 hour drive from NJ to VA.

I contacted the seller and asked for my tracking number and got a generic response which stated my book was shipped on Oct. 3 (yet on Amazon they had marked it as shipped on Oct. 2), and no other information. I had to call Amazon to go after them and request a tracking number, and they literally resent me the EXACT same 'canned' response! They have refused to even give me a tracking number or answer questions. I had to subsequently file a claim with Amazon as well.

This company is either a) not actually based in the USA which is why there seems to be a pattern of MUCH LONGER shipping times than expected or b) marking their textbooks as shipped when they haven't actually shipped them. Either way, it is fraudulent misrepresentation.

I want to speak to an actual HUMAN with no canned responses and be told the truth!Desired Settlement: I want a refund. This is ridiculous customer service.

I made the payment on September 13 and this is before college started. September 19th came up and college started so I wondered if this book is near by now. Review: My daughter,[redacted] recently purchased a college text book from Indoo Bestseller through Amazon, order #[redacted] In less than 24 hours we tried to cancel the order but they send a standard e-mail stating order has been processed so they can't cancel it. They have no phone # or direct e-mail or website to contact them. The order has not shipped because they can't provide a tracking #. I tried to stop payment by contacting my credit card company but they couldn't do anything because the company has no phone #. I have seen several internet sites complaining about this company. Review: On May 5th I ordered a textbook for a class through [redacted] which came from indoo.com . I received a book two weeks later and it wasn't the book that I ordered. I filed a complaint on the [redacted] website and was told to ship it back to the company (indoo.com) in Avenel, NJ. As I was advised by their website, I obtained a tracking number for my shipment that was sent on 5/30. The tracking confirms the book was delivered before noon on 6/4.

When I never received a confirmation email from the company of receipt of my book or a refund, I emailed their customer service address (there is no customer service number that I can find online) with a photo screenshot of the tracking number on the [redacted] website. The first email I received back from them claimed they never received my book and asked if they could have the tracking number (that I already had provided).

So I wrote an email back with the number again. After three days with no word, I emailed again asking if there was a number I could call to talk to someone. NINE days after my second email they finally wrote back as if we had never had correspondence with the following email:

I never submitted an email about a damaged book and this has nothing to do with my problem. Obviously this company is unprofessional and unorganized, or they are just scamming people. I do not doubt that they received my book, either it's lost in their possession by mistake or intentionally.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the book ($160.19) and for the cost of shipping it back to indoo.com ($5.66).

I never received the book that I needed to begin with, and have already sent back the book that I didn't order (unopened in the plastic) confirmed by [redacted] tracking. I can't get anyone to acknowledge my problem or act professionally.
