Some customers are under the impression that when you purchase a membership with our company you are paying for records; unfortunately, this is not the case. The service that is provided is actually the compiling of all the public records data and the sorting of the data into an easy to read format. When a customer pays for a public records search, we do guarantee that we will search every database available to us, however, we cannot guarantee which records will or will not show up in the final report since we are not in control of the records themselves. We simply display records as they are provided to us.
In addition, premium databases are also more expensive for us to access, so in an effort to keep our monthly membership costs down, we must charge a small, one-time access fee to compile premium reports for our customers.
A premium upgrade is not required to view basic information. However, if the customer chooses to upgrade, their premium report may include:

There is nothing that they provide that you can not get yourself. The data is wrong in most cases and you can get the same information from a phone book and online searches yourself. Then they have the nerve to charge you for this information and again if you want the "Premium" record. REALLY??

After paying you find that all you get is the most banal information such as name and address. If you want the information they have promised, they want even more money for that! Complete rip-off

This company is a rip-off. If you want all of the information they advertise, you will end up spending much more than they advertise. In my opinion, this is false advertising, since they lead you to believe you will get so much for your money. I paid $22.00 for information that I couldn't even see. In order for me to view the complete arrest records, etc. I had to pay another fee. The information you pay for, before all the other expenses, can be found on a regular google search.

a) Standard Membership Plans
Instant Checkmate offers three standard Membership Plans. All Membership Plans are billed up front for the entire term selected.
Standard Membership Plan with a 6-Month Term: For a standard 6-month Membership Plan, the debit or credit card or other payment account you provide will be billed $59.16 immediately upon purchase and $59.16 every 6 months thereafter, unless and until you cancel.
Standard Membership Plan with a 3-Month Term: For a standard 3-month Membership Plan, the debit or credit card or other payment account you provide will be billed $44.58 immediately upon purchase and $44.58 every 3 months thereafter, unless and until you cancel.
Standard Membership Plan with a 1-Month Term: For a standard 1-month Membership Plan, the debit or credit card or other payment account you provide will be billed $22.86 immediately upon purchase and $22.86 every month thereafter, unless and until you cancel.
If your payment for a full term is declined due to insufficient funds, Instant Checkmate reserves the right to bill in monthly installments based on the monthly rates associated with the Membership Plan you selected.
b) $1.00 Trial Membership
If you select a trial Membership Plan (“Trial Membership Plan”), you will be able to try a Membership Plan and its accompanying services for five (5) days from the date of purchase for only $1.00. It's the "Bait and Switch" Routine! They tell you they have the reports you are looking for and it will cost you X amount of dollars to review them. So you pay "X" amount, and then they tell you that you will have to pay MORE money to review the records they had originally promised to you at a lower price. Total ripoff and the information was not the least bit helpful. Thankfully I did not give them my credit card information and used PayPal. I filed a "significantly not as advertised" claim and they refunded my money within 24 hours. But that was not before they sold my email address to unscrupulous third parties. I have been bombarded with spam and there is no valid "unsubscribe" link in the emails, so it is not going to stop.

Instant Checkmate misrepresents themselves. They make it seem like a free service, and then get you to pay $1, and then another $1.99 because they tell you that there is information that they have about you that is confidential and that others can see, and then in the fine print they say that you are signing up for a 5 day trail period and that after the five days you will have to pay $29 per month. I didnt realize this was what happened until I took a look at my paypal account.
THere is no warning email sent either, letting you know that you are about to be charged $29, which I believe is illegal. No company can charge your account without notifying you.
It's a total scam.
They made me pay to see information about me! My own information. They sold me to me. That must be illegal.

Suggestion to Customers: Use PayPal. One minute it takes to cancel a subscription using PayPal service, otherwise, might be months. That's a lot of mullah.

In certain instances, a 50% refund is offered as a courtesy when a customer is unsatisfied or confused about the terms and conditions that they agreed to. “As a courtesy” and “as a gesture of goodwill” both refer to the fact that a customer was provided with and agreed to the Billing Details, Terms of Use, and Disclaimers, but were not satisfied or may have been confused with what they agreed to.
