a) Standard Membership Plans
Instant Checkmate offers three standard Membership Plans. All Membership Plans are billed up front for the entire term selected.
Standard Membership Plan with a 6-Month Term: For a standard 6-month Membership Plan, the debit or credit card or other payment account you provide will be billed $59.16 immediately upon purchase and $59.16 every 6 months thereafter, unless and until you cancel.
Standard Membership Plan with a 3-Month Term: For a standard 3-month Membership Plan, the debit or credit card or other payment account you provide will be billed $44.58 immediately upon purchase and $44.58 every 3 months thereafter, unless and until you cancel.
Standard Membership Plan with a 1-Month Term: For a standard 1-month Membership Plan, the debit or credit card or other payment account you provide will be billed $22.86 immediately upon purchase and $22.86 every month thereafter, unless and until you cancel.
If your payment for a full term is declined due to insufficient funds, Instant Checkmate reserves the right to bill in monthly installments based on the monthly rates associated with the Membership Plan you selected.
b) $1.00 Trial Membership
If you select a trial Membership Plan (“Trial Membership Plan”), you will be able to try a Membership Plan and its accompanying services for five (5) days from the date of purchase for only $1.00. If you select a Trial Membership Plan, the debit or credit card or other payment account you provide will be billed $1.00 immediately upon enrollment, and you will have five (5) days from the time of enrollment to try out Instant Checkmate’s Services under the Membership Plan. If you do not cancel your Trial Membership Plan before the expiration of the 5-day trial period, on the 6th day after you enroll, you will automatically be enrolled in a monthly Membership Plan and the card you provided at the time of enrollment in the Trial Membership Plan will be charged $29.63 immediately and $29.63 approximately every thirty (30) days thereafter, unless and until you cancel.
c) Nonstandard Membership Plans
Instant Checkmate sometimes offers promotional membership offers or the opportunity to purchase a single report or several reports for an identified price with no further obligation. If you enroll in a nonstandard Membership Plan, Instant Checkmate expressly reserves the right to bill you at the identified price and based on the terms disclosed at the time of you enroll.
d) Negative Option
BY SIGNING UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP PLAN, YOU AUTHORIZE INSTANT CHECKMATE (AND ITS PARTNERS, AFFILIATES AND/OR AGENTS) TO CHARGE YOUR DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD OR OTHER PAYMENT ACCOUNT THE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE MEMBERSHIP PLAN’S TERM, AND YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT INSTANT CHECKMATE WILL NOT OBTAIN ADDITIONAL AUTHORIZATION FROM YOU FOR EACH RECURRING FEE CHARGED TO YOUR DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD OR OTHER PAYMENT ACCOUNT. Any applicable discounts or promotional prices will be noted at the time of purchase on the checkout page for your order.
j) Billing Errors
If you believe that you have been erroneously billed, please notify our Customer Service Department toll-free at ###-###-#### immediately to notify us of such error.
k) Reversals and Chargebacks
Instant Checkmate considers charge backs and reversals as potential cases of fraudulent use of our Membership Plans and/or theft of Membership Plans and will be treated as such. Instant Checkmate reserves the right of filing a complaint with the appropriate local and federal authorities to investigate. Be advised that all activity and IP address information is being monitored and that this information may be used in a civil and/or criminal case(s) against a customer if there is fraudulent use and or theft of Membership Plans.
We apologize that [redacted] was not satisfied with our services. As a gesture of goodwill, [redacted] has been issued a refund in the amount of $525.78, as per the request in the original complaint. This refund has been credited back to the card that was used to enroll in our services, and no further charges will be incurred.

Stay away from this company. They have an ad on Facebook encouraging people to check out what is known about themselves...like wow I wasn't aware that was all out in the public sector and they encourage you to click to learn about yourself. When you click they ask for information. Than after compiling the report they asked for billing information before giving the implied free quote...end results...$1.99 for the report, $26+ for the monthly membership and $19.99 for lord know what. All charged to an account before one knows what is going on. And as to the report ...never saw the damn thing. My membership is now cancelled however I am now out $50.00 for something I didn't receive or want. Misleading false advertising scam of a compnay

Just to clarify, I was not confused about the services provided. My complaint against the company was that it did not provide any of its services, but went ahead and billed me. I never got a report, let alone a PDF file of it. I have saved the emails in which I requested my money back, all of which include specific instructions to never bill me again in the future either. If the Revdex.com or Instant Checkmate would like to see them, I would be happy to provide copies of them. My other complaint was that they billed me a month later, totally without my authorization and once again, without having provided any actual services. The whole time they kept saying that they could not find an account associated with my email address. I don't understand, then, how can you bill someone for a nonexistent account? Also, they said they never received any email complaints from me. How is it that they can never find anything related to my account to resolve the issue, but they have no problem finding unauthorized access to my bank account? It seems that it would behoove Instant Checkmate to adopt some honesty when dealing with their customers, especially in light of the fact that their company is providing it's services based on the fact that dishonesty is rampant in society these days. Nonetheless, I want to confirm that I have received the full refund, and am happy with this final result. The company has also stated in writing to the Revdex.com that they will never bill me again in the future. I consider complaint ID [redacted] resolved.

[This is not how it went down. I checked the box agreeing to the terms and rather than providing the results, they want to immediately upgrade and make the statement what they advertise is not what you will get unless you upgrade. This is false advertising. They have credited my card with the charge but there is no statement that reflects they will not charge my card in the future. These companies need to clean up the way they advertise and set up their websites to generate more revenue. If you're not careful, you will be charged excessive fees and additional charges. Rewrite the letter to ensure the company will not be charging my card in the future. Thank you]
