Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below First of all, it is HIGHLY misleading to have a checkbox for a subscription on the original purchase form, and then to IGNORE IT WHEN UNCHECKED to forcibly subscribe the poor consumer -- in blatant conflict with the consumer's intentions Instant Checkmate maintains that their theft is justified by stating somewhere else on their website, OUTSIDE the sample purchase dialog, that they will hijack the purchaser's information will be hijacked for monthly billing of an unauthorized amount This is nothing less than FRAUD It is no different than a brick and mortar merchant cloning a plastic card for additional charges once the customer has left the premises It seems highly convenient that Instant Checkmate claims they will send me a refund in another week -- as if they are hoping I will lose focus on this issue and fail to follow through on whether they actually do issue a refund It is THEFT that they are admitting wrongdoing and yet only offering to refund LESS THAN HALF of the $dollars they charged me! The company's entire revenue must consist of these purloined funds from keeping half of the money they stole, instead of issuing proper refunds They have ONLY refunded $11.43, certainly NOT the $they currently claim, and absolutely NOT the $dollars they stole from me!
