Last March of 2013, I found Instant Checkmate Online and signed up for full usage of their site for a certain period of time - I believe it was monthI paid w my credit card and found the site to be useless, when searching for specific people and was unable to find anything significantSo I just did a print out of all local pedophilesAs I have a young childAnd that was thatWeeks later I wanted to find out some info on another specific person and attempted to log in and could not gain access - I was under the impression that my time of usage had expired This last year has been very difficult for meI suffer from severe migrainesAnd caring for a special needs child has been overwhelmingSo I have not been on top of my checking account as I usually amBut today I decided to take a look at the withdrawals - and I was blown away to find that Instant Checkmate had been taking $out of my account since March - It is now early August 2014! I immediately called and spoke w a lady who told me I was supposed to call and cancelI was NEVER informed that I needed to call and cancel because I had purchased a specific time frame of usageIn addition my experience has always been with any and all professional companies that when any money is taken from your account, you are notified via e-mail She said she could not do anything but cancel my account I truly believe this company is participates in scamming customers $ x ------- $ - minus the first month which I agreed to --------- $ was stolen from my account! My bank informed me I could only dispute what was taken within daysAnd apparently I was billed times in the last dayswhich adds up to a measly $Which I am disputing We live in a world that marketing illusion and fine print will take you for as much as they can get I'm so upset over this

Also, they said they never received any email complaints from meHow is it that they can never find anything related to my account to resolve the issue, but they have no problem finding unauthorized access to my bank account? What was advertised on the Checkmate site was that you were able to get a complete backround check including criminal history and financials After paying a month subscription for $26.82, the site asked me if I wanted to print out the information for an extra $for the entire month My feelings were that this should have been included in the $ Furthermore, the background only gave me current address and telephone information In order to obtain the criminal and financial information, I would have to pay an additional $ The company is very sketchy and dishonest I called Checkmate and let them know about my dissatisfaction The customer service representative dodged the issue and said that they would only make me pay 1/of the $and that I would still have to pay the $to print I called the company as soon as I ran my first background check (minutes after paying) and they still wouldn't give me a full refund This website is very deceptive and offers little information for anyone to really find out someone's character Checkmate probably had the positive reviews written by company employees themselves Please do not use this site It received stars when looking up sites with background checks There is no way that this is valid

I was initially interested in looking up what information is out there for myself and I registered on this siteThe minimum they charge is around $22+ per month (though other options are there but you are paying up or months upfront! -- ranging from $to $55) Unfortunately there are quite a number of traits of the "bait and switch" and I am listing them below 1) One issue is they lead you to believe that you get all the information once you pay the initial amountTHIS IS NOT TRUE 2) You have to pay $for "premium info" on top of what you initially paid to get the important pieces of info (like bankruptcies or any other info)In other words, anything that you would really be interested in viewing would require you to pay up at least $42+ 3) The home page leads you to believe that their services are reviewed on the popular networks like CNBC, FOX etcIf you look at it carefully, they are highlighting about viewing background info onlineSo buyers, please take a careful look and try to understand what you are really getting into

The information provided by the Instant Checkmate website was utterly worthless, largely incomplete and inaccurate with regard to some public information that I already knew To top it off, they billed me a recurring charge of $for seven months until I realized what the charge was on my credit card and cancelled The customer service rep was trained to talk in circles and provide no resolution to my problem A complete RIPOFF
