I have been subscribed to ipsy for a total of about 9 months. During this time I have subscribed and I subscribed several times due to not having the money etc. and have had no issues. I think that a lot of the issues that people have are due to not ready the faq or familiarizing themselves with ipsy before subscribing. On the website they are very clear about they charge, shipping, the wait list etc, but many people do not fully read this info. I have had no trouble cancelling and when I have had issues with broken products or overdue shipments, and have contacted them, they have gotten back to me right away and provided excellent customer service.

Cancelled my subscription over a month ago..... kept getting emails sayig that my payement for my sept bag didnt go through.... emailed them repeatedly to be sure that my account was cancelled was told numerous times it had been....LIARS Woke up this morning and checked my bank account and they took 222.99 $ out of my account without permission. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! !! I am soo upset and angry at his [redacted] that I will be tell everyone who will listen to NEVER deal with this company ever again!!!!

Ok. I'm choosing to write this review because I've made now, 2 attempts, THIS TIME, to contact Ipsy. At the beginning of the month, I received an email stating they had trouble with my card. So, I went in and noticed my changes were not saved. So, AGAIN, FOR THE 2ND TIME, I updated my Billing and Shipping Addresses. When I went today to look at my Tracking email, it was sent to the WRONG ADDRESS. I immediately went in and checked my information. To my surprise, my BILLING was updated, so they could get their $, however, my SHIPPING was NOT. When I emailed them, I got this [redacted] response that I didn't update. Well, if that were the case, you wouldn't have my new BILLING information! Lol...ALL I'm asking for, is to resend MY bag to my CORRECT address, PROMPTLY. I don't think that's too much. There are PLENTY of other companies for us to go through, most with better products, However, I SUPPORT companies like Ipsy. THAT WILL CHANGE if they can NOT or CHOOSE NOT to help their LOYAL customers. Please JUST CALL ME SO YOU CAN FIX MY ADDRESS AND SEND ME MY BAG I PAID FOR. NOT DOING IT ONLINE WHEN IT HAS FAILED ME TWICE ALREADY. PLEASE HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS

When signing up for Ipsy, I was completing the survey process and received an email that I was successfully signed up. After I hit submit for my payment information, a new page popped up saying I was "waitlisted," but if I shared their advertisement with my friends on Facebook I would skip the line. Essentially, Ipsy is asking for our free advertising, then they get paid by click if someone chooses then link. If my friends sign up, they will then get "waitlisted." Nowhere on their site does it say they are having issues keeping up with demand. This is false advertising and shameful.

The business contact me and offered a refund, and replace cosmetics missing, they did the refund but items missing or damage still not coming, I am just waiting for them to fulfill their responsibility about what their promises to close the case when I receive the items, they send me directly to Glossybox because I learn from the experience and I will be more selective before try new service in other companies !

I received a damaged product from Ipsy. When I sent an email to customer service asking for a replacement or a refund, they stated that they no longer had the product in stock and that they would send me a partial refund which isn't even half of what I actually paid for the product. I will not be buying any cosmetics from Ipsy again.

April 2016 I subscribed to ipsy and was charged for it. I asked them to cancel my subscription because it was nearing the end of the month and I still don't have my bag. They said it was on the way so I didn't respond. May 2016 they charged me again for another bag. I don't see why they would charge me for another bag when I still haven't received the first one, yet alone the tracking number they said was already available? Ipsy is such a disappointment. I want a refund for both months. You have caused me enough trouble. I don't trust you guys.

Response attached.

I signed up for Ipsy in April and was immediately taken off their waiting list and told my package would be arriving shortly, it was just being "processed." I received an automated email at the end of April (after emailing the company inquiring about my package) apologizing the package was late, and that it would be shipped as soon as possible. That was April 23, I was charged 10.00$ on April 13th. May is here, I email them again inquiring about my package, and received ANOTHER automated email with tracking information for my MAY package. I am moving, and updated my address on their website before May 1st (as it is directed to do so) and brought that up in the email in reference to where my April "glam bag" would be shipped to. They emailed me back telling me "We typically do not reimburse for address changes, but we understand things happen." It sounded very automated, as if I wasn't speaking to an actual person. I cancelled my subscription right away, and I've emailed this place four or five times now concerning my reimbursement for April with no response. The "gets back to you within 24 hours usually" is a lie, they've never replied back within 24 hours. It's a horrible way to do customer service. I'm sure their products are great, but this is absolutely ridiculous and I don't recommend anyone sign up. Avoid the hassle. Something that should be so simple is complicated and chaotic.

This is an amazing company! Delivers on exactly what they advertise and offer. Each month I will receive a new clutch/makeup bag filled with samples based on my intake quiz to determine what brands and items I like, I can even retake the quiz anytime I would like. You can't beat the price, and you really do recieve qualify products! And the clutch is actually made out of good material, enough to use daily! I also love that once I receive my monthly shipment I have the option to review each item individually to update my preferences on what I like. Their cancellation options are extremely easy, and you can even lessen the packages you recieve a year. I found this from word of mouth and completely trust this company.

I first received my items broken and smashed, so I wrote Ipsy an email and guess what!!!!? They sent me a replacement order and apologized sincerely. Every time I have used their service I have had nothing but a positive experience and the one time I didn't, they made sure with their best effort to make it a GREAT experience. I love this company and seriously they deserve a higher rating than A+. :)

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I do not agree with the business' response but the refund has now been received...

and I want nothing further to do with this business. I am requesting the Revdex.com remove our address from this public file as it was stated no personal information would be published.

Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 6, 2015/10/19) */
Ipsy has resolved the issues. They have refunded my money. They have sent my glam bag I paid for, one month and five days late. They have canceled my subscription as per my request. I cannot recommend anyone to this company. They have...

poor business practices. Issues were only resolved, once I contacted the Revdex.com. They should not have an A+ rating with the Revdex.com. Thank you

Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 6, 2015/06/23) */
Ipsy has made this issue right and I would like to withdraw my complaint. They did a great job responding...I should have allowed them more time to answer before firing off this complaint.

Our response is attached.

Signed up for ipsy after seeing an advertisement for no waitlist. After putting all my information in, including my credit card number, I was put on the waitlist... False advertising.

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription where it's $10/month for five deluxe size or full-size products. (In Canadian dollars with shipping it was costing over $20/month but I was still happy). Something happened in June where a lot of bags were not shipped out, I emailed 3 times and got three different excuses. First they said there was going to be a Canada Post strike so they wouldn't send out bags to Canada, that they would hold them in their warehouse until the strike was over. The last email said there had been a "snafu" in their warehouse and it was accidentally held. There was NO STRIKE in June and there still isn't one. They won't send out July's either. For all I know, the three bags they owe me don't even exist. I work super hard for my money and this a treat to myself every month. I'm going to nicely ask them for my approx. $40 back and if I don't get a suitable response, I will file a complaint. It feels like theft or a scam to me. I have other subscriptions and had no issues with anything in June. I know it's not a lot of money, it's the principle. I work too hard to have a corporation steal from me.
I have kept a file of correspondence with them over the past few weeks, so I have a record of their excuses and corrections. A lot of my friends who also subscribe have the same emails, very copy-and-pasted responses.

I give ipsy zero stars. I got emails sayin your bag was deluged w/ my name and email to ANOTHER STATE. I contacted ipsy via Instagram. I got one call wth no callback number. 6 months later I got an email saying FAILED PAYMENT FOR SEPTEMBER 2016 bag. I will be moving forward legally. How dare this company not have a phone number to call.
