Ira Motor Group Reviews (98)

After speaking with the general manager at Ira Subaru, we agreed on the damages being fixed properly, at the minimal cost to the dealership and time down for my vehicle. I wanted to ensure that the car was not painted beyond sale value for future decisions if I do decide to sell and that this option would allow my car to keep its full value without more than regular depreciation. The GM offered to install clear bra on the front of the vehicle as a good will service from them to help protect future damages, rock chips etc. I accepted these provisions above and removed all negative reviews online to reflect positive. Thank you.

Revdex.com:Why did Toyota failed to disclose to me of the tires issues before purchase. Why will two bad tires wears and tires simultaneously within 1 year of purchase.Toyota has wrong tires in my vehicle and a former employee disclosed this to me.I pay $30,000.00 for this vehicle and the very day I buy and dropped off I noticed this very issues but I instead thought I was the wrong condition in till about later my mechanic told of the recall and this very issues.Toyota confirmed it but failed to act accordingly instead demanded that I pay extra $3500.00 to repair my vehicle. This is illegal and unfair business practice.

All extended service contracts begin from the original in service date the vehicle was sold.  This is stated very clearly in the agreement the customer signed.  Integrity is one of the core values of our company we do not intentionally mislead customers.I would be happy to sit with the...

customer and review the contract she signed.

Mr. [redacted] purchased a [redacted] with an MSRP of $36,380 for $32,345.  The internet quote he received was on a 2015 [redacted] with an MSRP of $32,175 and a selling price of $30,233.  There was a mistake on the vehicle identification number on the internet inquiry which Mr. [redacted] was made aware...

of.We would be glad to sell the [redacted] for the price that was quoted for the [redacted] if Mr. [redacted] would prefer that vehicle.

Revdex.com: Yhe dealer only gave me paper work to sine for one teuck the first one that was not what I was looking for the secound teuck is a different truck and price . I do not see how its on me that another truck was ordred befor anything was ever run by me, the one paying..no financing was ever discussed with me for eather of these trucks im not shore who the dealer thought was going to pay for these trucks .this was one of the many reasons I left .no ine could explain to me when I would receive word if my choicen bank had given word on financing for this deal. We want a refund of the uninstalled items amount back to the credit card with interest until said amount is credited.  We had also requested some written explanations and  proof that the items were even ordered and an apology for the lack of professionalism and incorrect information given to us regarding these products when clearly IRA was holding our money for items they never intended for us to receive. These items were also not fulfilled at this time.

The dealership is incorrect. I brought the car in for a carbon clean in 9/15 and was told that was the service I was paying for. They lied to me and only changed my sparkplugs. The issue causing carbon buildup is a known problem with this model car and Lexus even had a recall program to perform carbon cleans at no cost. They refused to perform the service under the recall and said they would have to charge me $480.78. I agreed because I needed the car fixed and had no other choice. They now claim they never performed the service I paid for and want to charge me again..Regards,

Mr. [redacted] is mistaken on the interest rate on his loan.  It is 11,.69% and was based on his personal credit, the length of the loan, the year of the vehicle he purchased, and the amount of money he put down ($0).  There is an extended service contract on the vehicle.  So we would be...

more than happy to fix any verified issue that is covered under the contract. The bank loan is between Mr. [redacted] and [redacted] Financial Services if he wishes to voluntary reposes the vehicle he can contact them directly.

Mr [redacted] was terminated recently from the company for an integrity issue.  He received a copy of the contract when he purchased the [redacted].  The statement that we charge $495 to receive a copy of the contract is completely false.  We can provide another copy any time he wants.

Please provide more detailed information of the name it is listed under.  We do not show any records for [redacted].

The advertisement is very specific and states we will give trade value UP TO 130% of [redacted]) value.  The value is based on mileage and condition.  Mr. [redacted] did not purchase his trade from our company the vehicle does not have the original manufacture stereo and has had...

paint work on one of the doors. [redacted] good condition is $18,865 we are offering $20,751 which is 110% of that value and well within what we have advertised.Mr. [redacted] owes approximately $26k on his current loan.  Which is $5k more than the value of the vehicle.  He is also looking at a $43k Tundra and trying to keep his payment the same.  This isn't mathematically possible.  The Ira Motor Group has honored what was advertised.

I was shown a history of the services done on my car by one of the service technicians while waiting on the car on Wednesday.the brakes rotor was fixed in October 2015. The rotor was sent out to an outside vendor or whomever to be serviced. I am not sure what information they have but I am requesting a full report of all services done on the car and I am going to take the car to a certified service mechanic outside of the [redacted] network to have them review the service history and the brakes. If their findings coincide with [redacted]'s response, I will be satisfied with their response.I would like to receive this report this coming week if possible so I can make the appointment. I am not comfortable driving with a screeching brake as I have never heard of a brakes with screeching noise being something that is safe to drive with. They can send it via email and also to my address. I look forward to receiving the full report.

As you can tell from the tone of the response from IRA Toyota, they had no intention whatsoever of taking my complain seriously.  This condescending and rude approach was consistent with what I received from the Service Manager [redacted]. Unfortunately I have no recourse for action.  I learned one of the oldest lessons in the book the hard way, Caveat Emptor or Buyer Beware. I purchased a 2009 [redacted] at IRA Toyota with several years of maintenance and, I also had my 2012 [redacted] Serviced there on numerous occasions with no problems. Unfortunately IRA Toyota is unwilling to own up to making a mistake on my 2001 [redacted] and refund my $510, even though the work was obviously never completed and they are a multi-million dollar company. It is IRA's word vs. the word of a family run mechanic with 5 star reviews on google, and has been in business for 37 years and depends on word of mouth service.  I stood in the garage as the technician explained to me how none of the services supposedly performed by IRA were never done.  This garage lives and dies by the commitment to the consumer, unlike IRA Toyota. As IRA Toyota is unwilling to issue a refund, I will do my best to spread the message of unfair business practices, unscrupulous behavior, and threatening and unprofessional behavior by employees to anyone who will listen. Regards,

Good Morning,I am writing to respond to the  complaint number [redacted] filed by Mr. [redacted] regarding repairs performed on his 2005 [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] states we performed “unprofessional repairs” to the rear bumper of his vehicle.Mr. [redacted] filed a claim with [redacted] Insurance...

company for damages to the left rear quarter and the left side of the rear bumper cover. At the time his insurance company inspected the vehicle the damage to the right side of the bumper was present. This was according to Mr. [redacted] who is the staff appraiser from [redacted] Insurance Company. The estimate from [redacted] was to repair the left side damages only to bring the vehicle back to pre accident condition. We performed the repairs according to the estimate.Mr. [redacted] called me to complain that we did not repair his vehicle properly and that we returned the vehicle back to him with the damage on the right side not repaired. He stated he wanted the rear bumper cover should have been replaced.  I explained to him that I contacted his insurance company and spoke to Mr. [redacted].  He stated the damage to the right side of the bumper was unrelated to the loss on the left side and they would not replace the cover due to the old damage. Mr. [redacted] wanted Ira Collision Center to replace the rear bumper at no cost to him. I explained to him that we were not responsible to replace the bumper cover. We performed the repairs per  the insurance company appraisal. I gave Mr. [redacted] Mr. [redacted]’s contact information so he could discuss this with his insurance company. I can only conclude that his insurance company refused to replace the bumper cover.  It was explained to Mr. [redacted] that he could file a claim with his insurance company but would most likely have a deductible.Ira Collision Center did nothing wrong in repairing the vehicle. The damage on the right side of the vehicle was present when the insurance company inspected the vehicle and when the vehicle was dropped off for repairs. Could the estimator have pointed out the damage to him when he dropped off for repairs? Yes. However, that does not mean we should replace a $400.00 bumper cover free of charge to him. We repaired the damage according to the insurance company appraisal and according to CMR 211 and 212.I have attached pictures of the left side damage and the right rear of the vehicle as well. the damage on the right side is barley visible. Please contact me with any questions you may have regarding this response.Sincerely, [redacted]DirectorIra Collision Center[redacted]

Mr. [redacted], I researched your complaint and after speaking with the General Manager of Ira Toyota Tewksbury, [redacted], he said a check for $700 to refund you for the items not installed was sent out to you but not cashed yet.  The remote start for $695 was installed on the vehicle...

and unfortunately the other items were on backorder.  Please let us know if you in fact did not receive the refund.  A copy of the check is attached. Best regards,[redacted]Market DirectorIra Motor Group

The rear brake pads and rotors were replaced on the vehicle prior to being sold.  The oil and filter service was also performed.  The front brake pads measured at 7mm which is approximately 70% of a new pad and did not warrant replacement.  Neither the 2nd key or new floor mats were...

promised to the customer as part of the transaction.  The customer also signed a document stating there was nothing owed by the dealership to the customer on this transaction. That being said I'm discussing the situation with the customer and am confident we can come to a mutally agreeable solution.

Ms [redacted] terminated a lease early and leased another vehicle.  She had payments in the amount of $1,500 due on her current lease.  The dealership agreed to make the remaining payments on her current lease when she leased the new vehicle. Ms. [redacted] signed a form acknowledging...

this. The dealership made the remaining payments as agreed upon and I have provided that documentation to Mr. [redacted].  When she received a bill for excess wear and tear and overdue mileage on the lease she terminated she says she was told that was part of the deal.  This was neither told to her or what the dealership agreed to in writing (which has her signature on it).Because this was Ms. [redacted]'s 2nd lease from our dealership I told Mr. [redacted] that we would pay for half of the excess mileage bill.  I felt it wasn't fair for us to absorb the entire expense as we did not exceed the allowable miles on the lease, likely the reason Ms. [redacted] was trying to terminate the lease agreement early, as she was well over the miles she contracted for with 5 more months before the contract expired.Mr. [redacted] stated he would prefer to go to court.

It is rather unfortunate that IRA Toyota and specifically [redacted] the Service Manager continue to stretch the truth.I will admit I made some mistakes in this transaction (see [redacted], its not that hard).  After visiting IRA Toyota on March 4th and hearing squealing from my power steering pump, and feeling slippage in my transmission, I SHOULD have brought the truck to IRA Toyota for an inspection of their work.  My mistake. However, I did bring my truck to the local reputable mechanic to look at my power steering, transmission and two other unrelated issues a tune-up and exhaust manifold work. I did this partly because of the exorbitant costs from IRA Toyota.  I paid $900 total for fluid exchanges (and the only one conducted was the oil change). While inspecting my vehicle, the local mechanic notified me that the rear differential gasket was broken and leaking, the power steering fluid was low and dirty.  The transmission plug had not been removed in some time, and when the fluid came out it was black like oil, and the magnetic strip on the plug was covered in metal shavings.  Additionally when inspecting the brake lines, and fluid reservoir it was determined the entire brake system needed to be flushed.I don't understand why Ira Toyota and [redacted] are so adamant against admitting a mistake.  Maybe the service technician forgot to do the work, maybe he was overwhelmed on a busy day and let this job slip.  Maybe it is common practice at IRA Toyota to not perform the services paid for to unsuspecting consumers, an additional way to make more money off the consumer.  Regardless, IRA Toyota made a mistake and refuse to accept that fact.Additionally the service manager [redacted] is very untruthful in his report.  Yes I got angry on the phone call, and told him if the refund was not provided I would contact my attorney, the Revdex.com, the State Attorney General and the Dealer Ratings websites listed on their receipts.  I am only following through with the only recourse of action when an unscrupulous business takes advantage of unsuspecting consumers.I also only got angry after [redacted] mocked me during the phone call, telling me that I am "not an important enough customer" to be refunded, seeing as this was the only service I have ever had at IRA.  I tried to inform [redacted] that I had previously purchased a Toyota Corrola in 2009 from IRA and had it serviced for almost three years there, in addition to a 2012 [redacted] I had serviced on multiple occasions.  [redacted] wouldn't stop talking over me in a condescending voice telling me that my opinion or story doesn't matter because its "My word versus his" and he would never agree to a refund.Bottom line, I paid for services which were never delivered, [redacted] got called out on it and became very confrontational and aggressive.  It is unfortunate that a business I have spent thousands of dollars at is unwilling to admit that a mistake was made, and refund my $510.[redacted] is a very aggressive, condescending, uncooperative, unscrupulous and rude individual I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with.Buyer beware at IRA Toyota and their suspect and shady business practices.Regards, [redacted]    Regards,
