[redacted] came in with is Girlfriend to purchase a [redacted] and trad in his [redacted] truck that is in his name and has a loan on it in his name.  He selected a truck we did not have in stock that we had to go and get elsewhere, he agreed to the numbers and left us a $500 non refundable deposit.  The truck arrived and [redacted] came in to see it, once here he decided he wanted a different model with more equipment, so we found another truck, [redacted] agreed to it and promised to my Sales Manager [redacted] that this was the truck he wanted for sure.  [redacted] knew it would take a few days to wrap this one up since it was further away, at no time during this transaction did they want us to change the buyer info and the true buyer to the lender is the one who is on the credit app first and trading in a car in their name.  Once the 2nd truck arrived we reached out to [redacted] to let him know it was here, we never heard back from him until 5 days later when his Girlfriend called saying they no longer wanted the truck.  Ira Toyota purchased 2 trucks for [redacted], sent paid and insured drivers to get these trucks knowing [redacted] had agreed to the purchase.  Once we found out he was not buying the truck we offset the expense sot have these trucks and get them with the Non Refundable deposit they gave us and signed off on.  See attached agreement.

RA was previously notified several times verbally, as well as by certified letter to refund the uninstalled items amount back to the credit card with interest until said amount is credited. This request has not been fulfilled as of this date. [redacted] already verified that the car mats had been in stock for awhile now since this complaint, and the rain guards had not been in production for awhile now even at the time of our purchase. We had also requested some written explanations and an apology for the lack of professionalism and incorrect information given to us regarding these products when clearly IRA was holding our money for items they never intended for us to receive. These items were also not fulfilled at this time. Frustrating customers for simple legal requests is incomprehensible.

Our response has not changed the tires would have passed for inspection.

Mr. [redacted] purchased a used vehicle from Ira Lexus with 43,050 miles on it.  He signed a copy of the [redacted] Limited Used Vehicle Warranty.  Based on the mileage and year of the vehicle he had 60 days or 2,500 miles of warranty.  Ira Lexus has replaced the...

headlight, fixed the air conditioning and suspension issues all at ZERO cost to Mr. [redacted].  This work was done in May well past the Massachusetts Limited Used Vehicle Warranty.  Ira Lexus incurred a cost of $2,600 to correct these issues.Mr. [redacted] did purchase an extended service contract which is valid for 48 months or 50k miles from the date and mileage of purchase.  There is a $200 deductible for covered items.  This coverage is good at any repair facility they just need to get prior authorization before performing any work.None of the items listed above are safety issues from 1-11-17 and look like regular maintenance recommendations. We disagree that Mr. [redacted] purchased a lemon as he has used the vehicle for over a year.  Ira Lexus apologized that Mr. [redacted] had some issues with the vehicle but we stepped up and corrected them at no cost to him.

Mr [redacted] is mistaken he was here on 9-2-15 for a check engine light and recall.  The recall was performed at that time at no charge.  The spark plugs were replaced to address the check engine light. The vehicle was here on 1-25-16 for an oil and filter service and the check engine light...

was on again.  The vehicles computer had stored a code for a misfire which Ira Lexus diagnosed and cleared at no charge to Mr. [redacted].The most recent visit the check engine light is on we are recommending a top engine clean and decarb service.  The vehicle has 162,000 miles on it and multiple concerns can trigger the check engine light.Ira Lexus has performed factory recalls and diagnosed the check engine light previously at no expense to Mr. [redacted].Unfortunately a vehicle with that type of miles is going to need periodic repairs.

We apologize that Mr. [redacted]'s experience was less that satisfactory during his purchase of a [redacted].  Integrity is one of the core values of our company so we would never purposely mislead a customer.  There was a mistake on the web page in regard to trim level.  The General...

Manager of the store has spoken directly with the customer and apologized.  The following is what occurred/transpired.Trim was listed in the ad as an XLE by mistake was supposed to be an LE modelThe MSRP Discount and Model number listed in the ad was for an LE modelWe told the customer we would honor the same discount from MSRP on any Trim he picked out.We fixed the ad as soon as we discovered itVehicle had 100 miles on it because we installed heated seats per customer request. We cut check and mailed out on 2/16/16 check has not been cashed as of yet. Called customer today he never received it I am cancelling original check and having one cut in the store for him to pick up tomorrow.

We apologize that there is damage on the customers vehicle.  We walk around every car when it is dropped off and if there is damage anywhere on the vehicle confirm it with the customer.  If we make a mistake or damage a customers vehicle we own up to it and resolve the issue. This customer...

took the vehicle and says he saw the damage on his vehicle that night but didn't bring it to our attention until two weeks later.  That isn't logical. We would be happy to work with the customer on the repair of the vehicle.

We apologize the Mr. [redacted] is having an issue with his vehicle.  Both the General Manager and the Service Manager will work to rectify the situation and get the vehicle back to Mr. [redacted] as soon as possible.

Customer dropped car off to have recall performed.  Customer stated both rear tires are wearing unevenly.  Technician found both rear toe  adjustments out of specification and the rear beam would need to be replaced to correct the concern. We gave the customer two options to...

replace the beam. One with a new original manufactures equipment beam for $3,400 or a used one for  $1,755.  The customer declined both options. We also contacted Toyota on the customers behalf to see if they would assist which they declined.

The biggest issue with the complain was that I was told that I couldn't drive the truck without replacing the tires.  I would have taken it to another dealer to have the tires reevaluated but I was told that it would be "failed" and that I wasn't supposed to drive it without resolving the issue which required replacing 3 tires.   I do not consider this matter resolved and would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed.

There is always more than one side to the story.  We are sorry you feel that way.On April 20th Mr. [redacted] left a message for regarding  a refund for work we had performed.   I spoke with those involved and they both remembered working on it and performing the services.  At this point I contacted Mr. [redacted] and he stated that his local mechanic had looked at his truck and said that none of the fluids had been changed.  (Power Steering, Trans, Brake & Diff Oil)  So the customer authorized “his mechanic” to replace all the fluids.   So he felt that “his mechanic” stated the fluids looked dirty then we should refund the him.  I advised Mr. [redacted] that I had checked with the technician and remembered the truck and did perform the fluid services.  Mr. [redacted] thanked me and hung up.    20 mins later Mr. [redacted] called back and was no demanding I refund him.   He became very rude and started to yelling and swearing saying that he believes “his mechanic” over a huge dealer & that he has been using him for years. He also stated that he always does his research before using a business and “his mechanic” has a 5 star rating and we only have a 3.5 star rating.   I stated ok that being said, does he have any test strips showing the fluid was bad? Or did anyone contact us to let us know the condition of the fluid?  It was adding up and again without calling us prior or providing any proof I wouldn’t issue a refund.   Mr. [redacted] then stated he will slam Ira on all Social media and contact the Revdex.com unless I refund him $500. He also stated his sister is a lawyer and she will send us a letter.     He also stated we are a multi-million dollar company who lies to everyone so $500 is nothing.   Mr. [redacted] continued to scream & swear and said  he will slam us on review sites and to have a great day.

Mr. [redacted] came in and had recall work performed on his vehicle 4-23.  There were 2 recalls performed at that time one was related to a power window master switch and the 2nd was related to possible windshield wiper motor corrosion.  The vehicle was brought back on 4-25 and the...

customer stated air not blowing out of dash vents only defrost and floor since recall work performed. We diagnosed the issue as the blower motor not moving air out of the dash vents.  To correct this issue the blower motor would need to be replaced.  We performed this diagnosis at no charge to Mr. [redacted].  There is not correlation to the  recall work that was performed and the blower motor malfunctioning.  The technician was not working in the area of the blower motor. Our dealership has no history with Mr. [redacted]'s 2010 [redacted] with 83k miles other than the recall visit and subsequent free diagnosis on 4-25.  We did notice in the history the customer had purchased an extended service contract from the selling dealer but had subsequently canceled the contract.  The extended service contract would have covered this failure.

We agree 100% to having an independent 3rd party repair the area.

The advertisement clearly states up to 130% of [redacted] value.  The Ira Motor Group has given you 110% of [redacted] value for your vehicle which is clearly within the scope of what was advertised.  In addition we have heavily discounted every new vehicle you have shown interest in.

[If you are rejecting the business's response please enter your rejection comments here.]It's not 110%. It's 10%. Nothing has been shown to me in terms of cost of any new vehicle I'm interested in. Just monthly payments. The car, according multiple reputable sites is worth more than what you're offering me with 10% added on. I am just looking for what's fair here. Just because I did not purchase my vehicle with Ira doesn't mean that I should have the percentage knocked down. I have had ZERO repairs done on my vehicle, it's not a Toyota, but the value on a gently used Honda is still one of the highest in the country. Regards,

Mr. [redacted] bought his car in on 9-6-16 with 111,067 miles and requested the following 5 items.  Oil and filter change, customer states engine coolant light comes on and off, customer states rattle from the front end, brakes squeaking, Mass State inspection sticker.  Specific to the...

coolant light: We verified coolant level low pressure tested coolant system and found no external leaks at the time.  Filled coolant to proper level and told customer it needed to be monitored.Vehicle was brought back in 11-3-16 with 111,611 miles.  Customer stated coolant light on and engine running hot.  We found the coolant leaking from the crank case sensor and recommended the repair which Mr. [redacted] declined.  It is also stated on the repair order that the vehicle should not be driven in this condition. The customer has all of this documentation and has signed it.We value Mr. [redacted]'s business and would be glad to work with him on the cost to repair the coolant leak on his vehicle.  We won't be refunding him for money that had nothing to do with the coolant leak.
