Debt collectors?!
I have not been a member of this gym (menlo park) for several years (between 3 and 5 years). They are attempting to use a third party debt collection agency to scare me into paying money to them for services that were never rendered. This is a terrible practice and paints a terrible picture.

Horrible, poor business practices
If I could give Zero stars I would! I suffered a brain injury at work, a family member helped me freeze my membership before Covid, until November 2021. I have only recently learned to read again, they stated they sent an email in May informing all members that all frozen memberships will be removed. I never received it and if I did I could not have read it, therefore I was unaware. I started receiving calls every day that they need a new credit card and I owe them three months of dues. I can not return to the gym and am requesting that they freeze my membership. I have tried everything and now they are sending me into collections. I am currently disabled, can not go to the gym, and can not get a person on the phone to talk other than collections. Think twice before joining!

We have thoroughly looked into this for [redacted] At this time [redacted] 's membership is not eligible to be cancelledA cancellation cannot be submitted before the initial term is complete [redacted] 's cancellation has been submitted as of 12/31/due to freezing the membershipThe last billing date will be on 12/1/The freeze has been removedA member cannot be on freeze and cancel at the same timeWe encourage [redacted] to come into the club today and take advantage of his great VIP membership!

We have reviewed this complaint submitted by [redacted] regarding collections, and we made the exception to pull him out and waive his balance of $on 4/6/We see that this case has been resolved and there is no further action necessary

We have thoroughly looked into this situation [redacted] membership agreement allows him to have one month free of boot camp, and he can cancel at any time so he is not billed after the free trialOn October since we did not receive a cancellation, [redacted] was billed $which is a separate payment from his regular monthly dues of $We received a cancellation on 10/9/in which his boot camp was terminated immediatelyOn 12/1/we see that [redacted] was billed $for his Annual Membership FeeThe Annual Membership fee is stated in your membership agreement and is something that every member pays four months from when the membership contract beganYou will not be charged this fee again until the following yearThe Annual Membership fee will continue to be billed one time per yearOf course we do not want any of our members unhappyAt this time we will return $to [redacted] credit card on fileWe hope this helps, and he comes in today to enjoy the club!

We have thoroughly looked into this for [redacted] I see that ** [redacted] signed for free month of boot camp, and in his contract we state that if we do not receive a cancellation after his free trial he will be billed on a month to month basis assuming that he wishes to keep this add on, so at this time there is no refund that is dueHis boot camp is now cancelled and he will not be billed furthermoreWe greatly appreciate [redacted] 's membership and for being part of our Jersey Strong family!

We have thoroughly looked into this situationWe see that [redacted] is currently in a Personal Training Agreement until March We are not able to cancel a regular monthly gym membership when a personal training contract is still active and in termAs stated in [redacted] agreement regarding her recent move, the proof of move policy is also stated in every member's agreement with usIt states "upon the member's change of permanent residence to a location more than miles from the club or an affiliated health club offering the same or similar services and facilities at no additional expense to the memberIn a cancellation under this paragraph, WoW shall require a proof of the new permanent residence and shall retain a prorated share of the total contract price based upon the date the notice was received plus reimbursement of for expenses incurred in an amount not to exceed 10% of the total contract price." We hope we've provided [redacted] with all information she was inquiring about, and she comes in soon to enjoy the club!

I have no issues with Jersey Strong except the Saturday and Sunday hours are to short. For many people those are the most convenient days to get time in for a good full workout.

We have thoroughly looked into this for [redacted] On 4/ [redacted] was charged $80.21, her Annual Maintenance Fee of $+ 7% tax and her regular monthly dues $+7% taxWe have inspected the photos that [redacted] submitted, and have brought them to the correct departmentHowever, as I said before we pride ourselves in our clubs and by simply walking into your facility anyone can see that it is in great condition because of the money and time our company puts into keeping 80,000+ members happy and healthyWe are not issuing a refund for an Annual maintenance FeeWe of course only want our members happy, so what I can do for [redacted] is waive the processing fee of $+7% tax and lower her VIP dues to just $per month! Her first bill to reflect this new rate will begin on 5/We hope this helps, and [redacted] comes in and enjoys the club today!

We have thoroughly looked into this situationWe see that [redacted] signed an agreement that stated she was entitled to pay for sessions of Personal Training on July 23, In this contract we state [redacted] is able to cancel before midnight of the third operating day, which she did not Work Out World is more than willing to contact [redacted] personally so she can finish the rest of her PT sessions, the Director of Personal Training is eager to find a trainer that best fits [redacted] so she can accomplish her fitness goalsAt this time no refund is do for this case [redacted] can contact me personally at [redacted] and I will be more than happy to further assist her so she can take advantage of her PT sessionsWe hope this helps!

We have thoroughly looked into this for [redacted] I see that [redacted] signed a month agreement with WoW in January Freezing is an option we provide to our members, because we understand that sometimes "life happens" and situations arise which may prevent you from using the club Rather than pay your full membership dues rate, the freeze fee is a low, minimal fee to keep your membership active until you are able to use the clubMonthly dues during the freeze period are $+7% sales tax per monthIf [redacted] is a student, you may submit your student ID for the student freeze rate of $+7% sales tax per monthI would like to make sure [redacted] is aware that her membership term will be extended by the duration of the freeze period since she is still in term.If [redacted] would like to cancel early which is not something we do unless you are moving to a location that we do not have an affiliate within miles or you are permanently disabled, we will allow [redacted] to submit a payment of $and she will be terminated immediately
