I am rejecting this response because:I explained my financial situation to the company representative when I spoke with the company I was laid off my job and was unable to make paymentsI am not sure why my Monies are being retained I am able to make apyments payments

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/06/30) */ Thank you for your feedback on our white gold quality ringsJostens manufactures white gold differently than most other places as we do not rhodium plate our ringsRather, we add nickel to the ring to give it the white gold appearance Please be aware when using the acid solution touch test to a Jostens white gold piece, an incorrect analysis will resultThe nickel, that is present in our alloy, can react with acids, and cause damage to white gold jewelryOur recommendation is to please use a scratch test on stone method There are various methods for testing gold purity vary in accuracy, cost, and convenienceThey include fire assay, touchstone and various "test kit" testing Fire Assay- A fire assay, a destructive test, consists of taking a piece of the ring, weighing it, purifying it with heat and acid, and reweighing what is left, which will be pure goldThe fire assay is the most accurate test of how much of the ring is goldThis is Jostens primary gold testing method Touchstone Testing- Testing gold with a touchstone or sheet of ground black glass is an ancient but less-accurate methodThe tester scrapes the ring on the stone and compares the color of the streak to streaks of known alloysThis method can potentially mar the surface of the ring being tested Test Kits- A variety of kits are available, the follow two are popular: 1-Testing with acid solutions, a simple but also less-accurate method consists of scraping the ring and applying acids of different solutions that identify carat strength by a color reactionThis method can potentially mar the surface of the ring being tested 2-Another less accurate method is testing with an electrolyte sensor tester- which consists of measuring the decay of electrical energy between the sample and a cathode in the sensorThe result is calculated back into karat value with a digital readoutThe operator's aptitude and placement of the sensor tip, the amount of other elements in the alloy (i.ecopper), poor surface condition, all can yield erroneous readings Jostens has maintained an in-house chemical lab for decades and has continually used Fire Assay as the standard procedure for gold analysisAll our precious metal alloys used in our rings are analyzed daily by this techniqueJostens also participates in an International Proficiency Test in order to insure our procedures and practices remain at a high standardAlthough we are able to perform trials with Test Kits and the Touchstone Test (which are non-destructive); we will continue to perform and maintain, Fire Assay as the most accurate and are confident in these results Jostens would be more than happy to test your ringOur staff of highly trained metallurgists will conduct a proper test and supply a letter of authenticityJostens has been in business for over years and adheres to strict government standards Please contact our warranty center at [redacted] ext [redacted] to make arrangements to return your ringOur regular business hours are Monday through Friday am to pm Central Standard Time Thank you, Katie Jostens Warranty Support Service Specialist

I sent back a diploma frame on the 25th of May for a refund minus the restocking fee and the company received the item on May 25thI called and at first was told they had not received the itemAfter I told them I had the received notification from UPS they found where they had received it so they said they would issue the refundI was told the refund would be issued immediatelyI waited until June and called again.This time they could not find it in the system at allAfter telling them again I had the tracking information where they signed for it they found it and said the refund was issued and would appear in my account on June 8thOn June 8th it still is not in my account and the bank said it is not pending so I called Jostens back and spoke with a supervisor who said the refund was issued but at this point cannot be traced and it would be up to my bank to trace it if it doesn't show up in my account and that they could do nothing furtherI asked for their bank and they sa

As with most emergency stagenerators, our generator is designed to perform an automatic self-test once per week, which includes starting the generator and verifying the health of the machineThis self-test feature is identical to what would occur during an actual power outage and therefore provides confidence that the generator will operate correctly when really neededBeginning in early December 2016, the generator began to fail to start during the automatic self-testWe referred to the service manual which described a manual start processThe generator did start using the manual start process, but when the engine was cold, required more cranking than typicalOnce the generator was warmed up, a subsequent start was easyI think this is an important point, so I will repeat it è Even before contacting Vastola, the generator could be started manually The entire reason that we have the generator is so that we can have peace-of-mind that power is reliably availableIn early December our generator, although still functional with manual intervention, was not working as-intended and was not providing the automatic barequired for our son’s medical needs. Each time Vastola service technicians worked on the generator, they started the generator manually multiple times, making adjustments and exchanging partsAt the end of each service visit, the now warm generator did start (the engine takes hours to cool down)Unfortunately, this is not a real testThe original concern and the reason that we contacted Vastola was because the engine was failing to automatically startThe real test is for the generator to start up automatically form a cold conditionThe generator failed every self-test following the Vastola service visits (all dates have been listed in my original complaint)After each failed self-test, I again contacted Vastola, they performed some additional work and then we again had to wait a week to see if the new work was effectiveUnfortunately, it never was and the generator continued to fail self-tests every time. Following the frustrating weeks long experience with Vastola, we were finally told by the last technician that they had no idea what was wrong with our generator, they could not repair it and we would need a new oneThey could offer nothing elseWe contacted a family friend who is “handy”With some minimal diagnostic activities he determined that either the intake valve was not sealing or that the head gasket had failedWithin one hour, the failed head gasket was confirmed and within another hour a replacement gasket was installedThe generator has never failed to start an automatic test since, confirming that the problem has been identified and corrected.Again, according to Vastola, the generator was beyond repair and a replacement unit was requiredAs evidenced by the now perfect behavior of the generator, all that was required was less than $in parts and less than two hours of attention from a minimally qualified personVastola should be ashamed of themselves
