In we purchased a Quadra-Fire pellet insert from a local company For the last years the exhaust and intake air system have never worked properly In April of this year we noticed that D&B now carry this line so discussed our problems with a representative there We received a recommendation for Shawn and contacted him right away He modified the whole system and the pellet stove worked very efficiently We were very happy with the quality work and will call Safer Chimney for our annual maintenance Thank you Shawn!

I hired them to clean the chimneyThey said the whole chimney needed to be replaced and the pipe inside house going to the stove from the chimneyAfter cancelled appointmentsThey came to do the workThe pipe in the had big gaps and filled the house with smoke everytime the stove was startedI had to hire a different company to come out and tape up the stove pipe in order to start the stove and heat the house upThe first appointment was Sept rescheduled to the October 7, and then came on October for installationOn November to complain about the smokeI left a message and have not heard from them at allNote that November is getting cold and the stove is my main source of heat

I found out about Safer Chimney from a fellow work colleague that was very impressed with there restoration of his cabin in Cascade
I had Shawn come out and give me a bidHe went over everything from inside/out and full structural inspection
I was VERY impressed with the company, Shawn himself, the over all look and appearance of the crewsI felt very comfortable dealing with themI agreed on the price, procedure and install time
They were here from morning to night for days restoring itAnd I have to say I am on cloud This is a family cabin and owned by membersThey were on time, on budget and did what they said they were going to do
They even had Idaho power out to drop all power lines so they could build/Work around the 30’ scaffolding system
The end costcwas around $14,to completely restore itI had originally paid over $k for the installI can already tell the work Safer Chimney did is far more advanced and higher qualityMy ONLY regret is that I did hire the crews from Safer Chimney to do the original work
I refered them to a friend of mine here in McCall and they begin restoration on his cabin in June

I decided to get my chimney cleaned this summer only because I had a live bird in my fireplace to pay me a visit Safer Chimney had a sign posted along the road in Kuna so I decided to give them a call and have them come out and clean my stove pipe They inspected my stove and said it was unsafe to build a fire, so I had them fix the problem and I built a fire today I have to say I have been skeptical after writing that check because I had to spend quite a lot of money to get my fireplace fixed, but this is the warmest my house has been since using my fireplace

It’s going to be a cozy winter!!! I have a chimney on my house built in in Parma IdI called Safer Chimney to have it cleaned but I really wanted them to be honest with me about repairs that I knew it needed, especially the crown Shawn came out to clean it and ended up giving the chimney a full structural inspection He went over everything from inside and out giving me a price quote for the repairs that would make heating my home safe again Shawn was very professional and I felt comfortable dealing with him The repairs included relining the chimney flue with a new stainless steel liner in place of the existing broken tiles, rebuilding the broken crown which included a new screened cap I also decided to replace the wood stove since it had some issues that concerned me We agreed on the price, procedure and install time We schedule a time on Monday which included Idaho Power coming out to drop the power line so the scaffolding could be set up along with trimming some tree limbs away from the chimney Idaho Power showed first thing in the morning to do their part, then Shawn showed up shortly after that He went right to work cutting the metal heatilator out of the old fire place A little later, Tristin arrived jumping right in I was amazed of how these two guys worked together like a well-oiled machine to accomplish the job at hand They completed the work in a day as planned and under budget which thankfully saved me some money I am VERY impressed with the company, Shawn himself, and Tristin The answered any questions or concerns I had and completed what they said they were going to do including getting Idaho Power back to turn the power back on the same day I can already tell that the work Safer Chimney did is far more advanced and higher quality than the run of the mill chimney sweep Now every year there will be no question in my mind about who I will be calling to clean my chimneyThank You Safe Chimney, Shawn and TristinKathy M

Overall, these guys have been awesomeThey carry out quality work and have a high level of professionalismThe reason why I reviewed them at 4/stars is due to a discrepancy between our quote and the actual price of the job
We were quoted at roughly $2,with an additional 10% discountCool, we thought, time to see those savingsTurns out when payment was due the total was roughly $2,after the 10% discountShould have had my quote handy so I could have compared what I was quoted to what they charged us
I quickly gave the office a call and spoke with a fine gentleman about our situation, and how we felt that we had paid an extra 10% opposed to getting 10% dockedHis approach to our conversation was silly considering he went on to create a list of reasons why we were charged the way we wereOur conversation could be summarized by this sentence, "We try and be transparent about our charging process but in your case there were some unforeseen changes to the order due to inaccuracies in the estimate process, therefore you should be absorbing the difference"I simply disagreed with this and laid it out as simply as I couldThe fact that your technician was unable to quote us properly is not any fault of mine and is definitely not an excuse for why we should be paying more than we were told the job would costAny other excuses in the form of "well, I'm not making any money off these parts/this job, etc, etc" is unprofessional to even bring to the table in a situation like this
End of the day I don't really care nor should you make me feel like I should be caring about your companies nuts and bolts processes and your profit marginsTeach your technicians how to write a proper quote and then situations like these won't arise because the numbers will be accurate from the get-go
All in all, good experience with a few road-bumps like the situation I've laid out aboveWould recommend and probably do business with them again in the future

EHS was here in 1/hour of calling regarding my water heater leaking They were prompt, courteous, and efficient Trever was my main contact and he kept me informed at all times He was patient and also warm and friendly I would highly recommend EHS

Sunday morning I had a problem with the air conditioner unit in the attic of my house The A/C service arrived within a couple of hours and fixed the drain problem Now what to do about the water damage (a inch bubble hanging/dripping from the ceiling)? A call to EHS promoted the arrival within one hour of two techs to see what the problem was They started the drying process and we waited for Monday to arrive Monday morning saw f techs/plastic/brooms and whatever else they needed to remove the portion of the ceiling that was damaged, remove the insulation and clean up the mess They covered everything in the room as well as the hallway to the front door to make sure nothing was missed By noon they were done and we waited for the insurance adjuster to come view the damage Great job

My roommates and I had a problem with our sink causing our kitchen to floodWe immediately called the landlord and she had EHS there within the hour! They fixed my kitchen and helped me understand every step that had to be takenI was really satisfied with the work EHS had done! This company is really reliable, cooperative, and gets the job doneI would definitely recommend this company to family and friends!
