This is the leasing company that I used to purchase a sofa through Wayfair. Wayfair lost my sofa 3 weeks ago and that order has been cancelled. Now THIS company keeps contacting me telling me I owe them a dept when they've been contacted by myself and Wayfair multiple times. This company Katapult also owes me money for my initial deposit.

I attempted to get a couch from Wayfair and this company Katapult charged my card when in fact the couch was already sold out at Wayfair and I've tried numerous times to get my money back and stop this contract and this company gives me fictitious confirmation numbers that transaction is cancelled but they are still trying to steal my money and not refund any.

The company provides misleading billing services.
Within all emails received (7!), and the payment portal itself I am shown a total amount owed of $1599. Only in small letters in the contract do you see that the 1599 isn't the full amount owed at all! You also owe a fee and 5% on top of that.
So within this payment portal I'm supposed to come up with the accurate total myself, so I can make sure I am paying appropriately. If I don't pay this mystery amount off within 90 days, this company will charge an additional 65%! It sure seems like they are making it very difficult for consumers to meet that 90 day deadline so they can reap the benefit of that exorbitant 65%. This is misleading, terrible business practice.

This business ***. I have had to call each time when they say they'll call back within 24 hours. I'm going to the attorney general about their practices. Clearly there is a real problem with this company especially reading all the Revdex.com comments. What's the bureau doing about them?

They do not even deserve a 1. My couch is paid received a notice from them that I know own my couch and they are still charging me. I have blocked them from My bank.

They have billed my accounts 5 times a month I call every month it's awful my payments are 146.00 per month they Bill $293 5 to 6 times in the same day!! $210.00 overdraft fees in one day!!! I'm getting an attorney!

The customer service at Katapult has been nothing but spectacular! I have had/have several leases with them. I have asked for payment date changes, payment method changes, and general questions. The reps have been very helpful, respectful, and absolutely fantastic. I wish they had more retailers who used Katapult.

Ordered from Lenovo on 5//20 with Katapult as payment method. Had to cancel the order, researched on *** how to cancel an order. Katapult's FAQ states: "Please contact the retailer to cancel your order before it has been delivered. We will cancel your lease purchase agreement once we receive the retailer’s confirmation that the order has been canceled." Contacted Lenovo on 5//20 and they cancelled the order. Lenovo sent an confirmation of the cancellation email to my address which was addressed to Zibby (Lenovo) so I forwarded the email to ***. Katapult did not cancel the lease agreement as of Saturday 5//20 so I chatted with a Katapult representative who did not understand the order was cancelled and I had to call Lenovo to cancel with a Katapult representative on the line, which was not terms of cancellation they noted in the reference above, I was only required to contact the seller and I emailed them proof of the cancellation from the seller. The representative refused to acknowledge the cancellation or check the many emails I sent with proof of the cancellation from Lenovo. I emailed Katapult again multiple times forwarding them the chat and Lenovo cancellation confirmation, I have not received a response and Katapult has not cancelled the lease agreement as of 5//20. I contacted Lenovo again and they said Katapult should have had cacelled the order on 5//20, but they will attempt another email to them. Clearly there is no process for Katapult to manage cancellations or this is an egregious conscious decision to collect payments on orders that they will never pay for. I will be blocking all payments from Katapult since the order was cancelled and Katapult has not and cannot make a payment to Lenovo.

I paid the amount that katapult said to pay to own the items. After I hit submit a higher figure appeared in the own your items place. I have emailed them with no response.

Had a lease and paid off within the 90......
Had a lease and paid off within the 90 day period. No problems. 2nd I took out, not so simple. Thought I made the payment and realized I hadn’t 11 days later. So I reached out to the company to see if could possibly make the payment for the payoff amount. Told it was too late. I was bummed out because on that date, my mistake would cost me an additional $100. But the rep told me that the amount I was viewing that day would not change. Did not reference the policy in the contract so I was paying based on that figure, that day to pay this off as soon as possible. Well, that was in March and we are now in May. Made a payment and saw that the payoff amount increase again! How is this so?!?!?! I know that there is interest but if I’m paying on time and more than the amount due, how does the amount increase???? That makes no sense. I also used the chat feature this morning and that person said correct, the price should not change. I’ve called on the due date of the payment and being told that there is nothing they can do and that I owe 100 more $ to pay this off. This is absurd and *** rip off! They are raping your money here. 65% goes to the lease and the other 35% to owning the product. If you use this service, please pay off by 90 day mark or pay close attention and take screenshots of what you see because you won’t be able to find a trail of what the system was showing prior to that date if the information changed. And it’s funny that when I made my recent payment, I received an email with the amount I paid and the payout amount but no other email has payout amounts. They must have received several complaints about this very issue from several people so this is information is now featured in an email that the customer can reference back to. I am very angry about this.

Terrible customer service. They don't try to help you and will disconnect you every chance they get. Ask for a supervisor and they hang up on you or leave you on a very long hold. These people will harass you to no end on collecting payment but once it's done and asked to delete any information they refuse. Terrible customer service.

The absolute worst experience with this company. I have only used them once. Customer service is extremely rude and does not answer questions. Instead they go around it. I ordered a product using Katapult on ***. I have never received the product. *** states the funds were not released on Katapults behalf. Did Katapult not have the funds ? I contacted Katapult and they keep telling me a ticket was opened and I should call back tomorrow. They continue to not have any knowledge each time I contact them. I texted them one last time and the Customer service agent again did not answer Any of my questions. Instead disconnected the conversation. I tried again and I had to this over again with another CSA who is not helping either . I just want a refund! This company is so unprofessional!

Will harass you like crazy over a $38 payment weekly

I've been trying to sign in to my account, and I get a blank page for the portal. I want to know how to pay extra to pay this off early, but I cannot get in to my account. I called for assistance, was on hold for a long time, finally someone started walking me through nonsense like clearing my cache. Which did nothing, of course. I finally had to end the call to go back to work. I still don't know why I can't sign on my account online, and I guess I will have to wait and call again when I have an hour to sit on hold. I was going to also buy another appliance through them, but forget it!

I purchased an item at one of their vendors and opened a lease with Katapult. I returned the item to the vendor after I already paid off the lease - so I don't have an active lease with Katapult.

Katapult is denying that the vendor is releasing the return status, so Katapult is sending me back to the vendor over and over again.

The vendor is telling me that Katapult is throwing an error code and Katapult is telling me "too bad, contact the vendor"

At this point, I believe Katapult is stealing from me. I want this resolved.

Jan 2020 I purchased (2) pieces of furniture for a store discounted price that we agreed upon. I signed a contract stating that I make monthly payments twice a month (which would be a total of 6 months to fully bring the balance to .0), I have made steady payments every month as agreed upon in the signed contract. I call today (5//2020) to make my payment for the month of May only to be told that my entire balance not only shows that I owe the the amount of the (2) pieces sold, ALSO they stated that I owe $42.37 more that what they were originally sold to me for in the store, plus late fees. I stated my argument to Customer Service and she refused to hear anything. She also stated that and I quote, "Sir, my screen shows only 1 payment..." Which is incorrect, I have BANK STATEMENTS TO PROVE they have been taking payments every month since the sold date in January. No one has been able to tell me where roughly over $1000 of the payment I have already been sending has "vanished" to nor why my balance has increased and not decreased. Also, I am on a 12 month contract to fully pay off thee balance however, according to my bank statements, I am currently due to be completed with ALL payments by the first week of June 2020. THIS COMPANY IS SCAMMING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY AND CLAIMING TO NOT SHOW RECORDS!!!

I made a purchase on February from wayfair and used katapult aka zibby to finance. I was aware of the exuberant finance charges sosays 90-day date is May *, 2020. My payments automatically were drafted on the *** of everymonth because I am on a fixed income and this is the date of my monthly check. I called on May after my monthly payment was credited and the automated system quoted a payoff balance of $136(ballpark) which was correct. Fastforward to may and the automated system is quothing $246.23. When I was finally able to speak with a live rep (after 2 text convos with customer service) I was told that the system automatically adds the interest 2 days before its due!!!!! What???? Well anyway, she transfers me to an automated system and I make the payment of $136 and she said that the contract would be cancelled out and my debit card removed from autopay. This took place on May 2020, the day before my 90 day contract date. Fastforward to may 2020 and my contract is still saying that I owe and I can payoff my lease by making a pymt of $107 by June 2020. Not to mention that my debit card is still connected for autopay and it will not let me remove it. I used the text app and was told by andres on may that he escalated my call and it would be taken care of by an account specialist and that I would be getting an email saying account is paid in full. I never missed a payment and was always on time. This company is a fraud and they don't want to see consumers pay off the lease in the 90 days. But there practices are illegal and they should be shut down. EspeciLly with the state of the economy and the company taking advantage of people. I knew it had to be paid off in 90 days. If I could give 0 stars I would. This company is doing illegal activity. I made a payment in the amount of 142.00 to pay off of sofa. They cashed my check TWICE?! I have a call in to an attorney and I will be following up on this to make them rectify it or I'll be pressing charges. Illegal illegal illegal activity!!!

My father passed away 2 months ago. This company has been continually harassing my mother, calling every few hours and asking for my father and upsetting her- and each unprofessional agent tells her somethng different every time they call. She has sent his death certificate several times, as each agent gives her a different email and has no knowledge or record of all the others times she's been called and upset, and several of them have been very rude, and the call ends with her In tears. You have been told countless times to stop calling, and it's past the point of harassment.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. They’re is clearly a reason their average is one star if I had the choice to give none I would. I like many other have experienced hardships right now and so I missed a payment. First their systems failed and didn’t not attempt the automatic withdraw which if they had they would have gotten their money. Since missing a payment I have received about 6 calls a day and two of those were out TCPA guidelines after 8PM. When time permitted I returned their to set up a payment arrangement I was told because my last rescheduled payment did not go through I did not have the option to double up my payment I said ok then what are options which is when the rep “Mr D” put me on another hold which lasted over 20 mins and resulted in the rep never coming back on the line and the line sent me straight to survey which I of course answered my problem was not resolved and the service was poor. I then called back to speak with a supervisor Masile who also showed no empathy and had no solution for my payment schedule. Will never do business with them again.
