referencing was purchased on 8/27/13. The manufacture warranty time frame for Iowa DOC is 60 days from the date it is issued. Our records show that Mr. [redacted] sent his player in for review on 4/17/15. On 4/24/15 we shipped the player back to Mr. [redacted] after recovering the MP3 player free of charge. On 6/10/15 Mr. [redacted] sent his player in a second time and after reviewing the player our Technical Team was able to recover the MP3 player. As long as the MP3 player was purchased from Access Corrections, we will always review the player free of charge. Mr. [redacted] was issued another RA# XXXXX on 7/8/15 to have the player sent in for review if the player is unable to be recovered we will look at the option of replacing the player. Thank you.

On each occasion we shipped Mr. [redacted]'s player back stating that Access Corrections was able to recover the player. Access Corrections will attempt to review any player purchased from Access free of charge no matter when the player was purchased. Our system shows that Mr. [redacted] was issued a RA#XXXXX on 7/13/15, we will thoroughly review the player when we receive it.
The warranty covers software and function defects for the MP3/MP4 players or earbuds. Physically damaged items cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded. lower the frequency of issues with the kiosk. Access Corrections has a procedure in place for when the kiosk or MP3/MP4 has issues. Inmates should fill out a tech form and submit it to Access Corrections. Access Corrections will then forward the issue to the proper personal to have the issue corrected. As of 7/7/15 we have forwarded the issue to our technical team to have them investigate the issue.

to the state or to the facilities. That information is not shared with us. Once the deposit is completed it is up to the facilities inmate trust account to distribute the funds. Access Corrections does charge a processing fee for all deposit transaction. Correspondence with the inmate will help to notify family members if fines are due

I am only choosing yes because there is nothing that is going to be done and a disclosure is not going to be put on your website about deposits being used for booking fees and fines. The portion of their response that due not charge a fee for processing is not accurate, I put $20.00 on my sons account and was charged a total of $26.95, that means a fee of $6.95 was charged to me for a processing fee. I will no longer put money on my sons account for him to purchase hygiene items since it will just be taken for booking fees. Which means you will no longer be making money off of me! I will pass the word along to folks that I meet during visitation with my son, that they may be paying fines and booking fees for the inmate instead of there loved one being able to purchase things they may need for hygiene or to get a snack.
