To Whom It May Concern, Mr. [redacted] did indeed purchase a 2007 Cadillac Escalade from Kia of Bedford on 12/18/2017. Additionally, Mr. [redacted] brought in his car to be looked at after purchase. operating normally. The fuel door mentioned in the complaint was repaired. The windshield was repaired. The transmission cooler lines were found to be seeping at the rubber seals. The customer declined the repair and the advisor recalls being told that the customer would be able to have the work performed elsewhere for less. The mirror was not repairable and would have needed to be replaced, and unfortunately Kia of Bedford is not responsible to replace every component of a used vehicle that we sell. Everything that was corrected was done so at no out of pocket expense to Mr. [redacted]. The RO is attached to this reply for your & Mr. [redacted]'s review as well. At the time of purchase, he was offered a 30-day powertrain warranty on a we owe. The customer may be unclear as to what is covered under a standard powertrain warranty. I submit as reference an article from Autotrader.com, the country's preeminent used vehicle search engine and listing site, which outlines the difference between a powertrain warranty and bumper to bumper coverage for your review, but to paraphrase "Simply put, this is a warranty on components of the vehicle's propulsion system, such as the engine, transmission and other related pieces such as the differential. Powertrain warranties also often cover just about anything involved in bringing power to the wheels, including a car's driveshaft and constant velocity joints. It's important to note, however, that not everything under the hood is covered by a powertrain warranty. Some parts are considered "wear items," which means that they're designed to wear, so a warranty won't pay for their replacement. That being stated the customer additionally signed off on an AS-IS buyers guide indicating he understood that any number of defects may occur in used motor vehicles. Mr. [redacted] also opted to purchase an AGW Service Contract which is a service plan provided by a 3rd party and the items covered on that plan were provided in writing to the customer at time of signing, and I have attached copies of the pertinent paperwork to this response. Kia of Bedford cannot and will not be responsible for any items that the 3rd party warranty deems ineligible for coverage. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted]'s not having made a single payment on his financing prior experiencing these issues is seemingly immaterial as Kia of Bedford has made good on everything that was promised to Mr. [redacted] as well as that he was aware that he was purchasing 10-11-year-old vehicle at the time of signing with in excess of 90,000 miles on it.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Hi [redacted] thank you for taking the time out and sharing this information with me but with that being said I wish to draw attention to the document that Bedford of Kia had supplied for it was for my work history my credit history and receive credit reports to the 3 credit bureaus but nowhere within that document where they authorized to apply for six loans in my name. This was a total surprise to me for they had instructed me that they were doing a soft credit check on my credit history but yet they applied for 6 loans. By their own admission with this document it's very clear that they have very shady business practices and all I'm asking is for them to remove this from my credit report because it was not authorized. At this point I've been getting nothing but a run around with phone calls from Bedford Kia and this matters still not resolved. I guess my final word is this that I went there to purchase a vehicle I never had an opportunity to search their inventory I was asked to go inside to look online after inventory and I was asked about my credit score and I wasn't for sure so they advised me they need to do a check on my credit which was a soft hit but in return they left me alone for almost two hours and come to find out they applied for six loans that were not authorized. Once again I want to thank you for your assistance in this matter and hopefully we can get this resolved soon.

Concerning complaint [redacted] you are recording the complaint as closed.  However I NEVER received any notifications from Kia of Bedford and consider this issue unresolved.[redacted]

Kia of Bedford sold the consumer a car with the understanding that loan process required the finance company to  verify residency and employment. Customer's employment time verified shorter than the consumer stated. Kia of Bedford was able to obtain financing , but the consumer would have to...

sign at a lower payment and provide current proof of income and proof of residency. The consumer informed KOB that she had relocated her residency, therefore the bank would not approve the loan.  The consumer was to return the vehicle on 5-1-2017, on 5-2 2017, KOB contacted the consumer again because the vehicle still wasn't returned. KOB  dispatched a repossession team to retrieve the vehicle. After being contacted again, the consumer finally returned the vehicle. The consumer was assessed .15 per mile as part of the delivery agreement that she signed and 100.00 fee for the repossession team. The consumer received her refund on 5-3-2017 less the amount owed to Kia of Bedford.
