I bought a Kirby vacuum it's only two years old , one of the worst vacuum I ever bought for that price and they refuse to buy it back did not do everything it claims to do , and when called them they were trying to sell me parts do not buy one not worth the money

On 9/28/17, I was illegally approached by a solicitor offering free carpet or furniture cleaning In my apartment complex, it is illegal to solicitI agreed, not knowing what I was getting into A salesman arrived and began cleaning my living room carpet with a Kirby Vacuum I had a small stain in the carpet so he also shampooed the carpet He kept pressuring me to purchase this, urging me, asking me repeatedly, "if you had the money, would you purchase this" to which I continuously repled, No, it's too expensive, I have NO income I am disabled and don't need anything this elaborate

Since having the Kirby I realized that when I use it it gets the job done the first time, which inturn gives me more time to tend to other things around the houseThe kirby is a very powerful vacuum cleaner that sucks up all the dirty and dog hair (in my case) the first time, I never have to go over one spot multiple timesMy favorite feature is the couch cleaner, everytime I use it my couch looks like new!

Inappropriate behavior by the sales rep and misleading sales tactics
Misleading sales tactics: A woman came to my door offering to clean area rugs for free as a means of helping her win a contest at workAt no time did she represent herself as a Kirby sales rep, nor did she give any indication that the rug cleaning would be a part of a sales pitch presented by someone other than herI agreed to the offer to clean two rugsAt that time in comes a salesman named ***He was pushy and didn't accept my very obvious resistance to the demonstrationNor, did he follow my instructions to clean the area rug and move on
Inappropriate behavior/Sexual Harassment: Next thing I know ***'s fly is down while he's moving forward with the demonstration.(luckily my husband was home at the time) When I tried to throw *** out, he claimed he had no cell service to reach his rideWhen he moved into negotiating a "deal," *** suggested that I could get the deal I asked for based on one

I have had my Kirby vacuum for many years and brought it to the service area to be cleaned and serviced The machine came out looking brand new, buffed and shiny, and running-which it wasn't doing when I brought it in A wonderful experience complete with Saturday hours to drop off and pick up

At dinner time when, we had a man come to our door saying they were conducting free carpet cleaning as a way to introduce themselves to our area (Westford, MA)
This is how he presented himself as a carpet clearing company, not as a Kirby salesperson
When he started his sales pitch my husband was in the other room while I was fixing dinner, and I was listening to what was going on After a while I finally went into the room as he just didn't stop his pitch--very pushy! I looked at the vacuum and tried it knowing the Kirby is a good product so I was interested I thought the price was super high but I like the features that the vacuum can do We did purchase the vacuum that night and were promised by the supervising sales rep who showed up and did the paperwork (not the newbie who actually did the demo) promised he would provide a years worth of vacuum bags and that they would be sent along as he didn't have them with him that night The finance company asked if the sales person promised anything, and I confirmed that he promised a years worth of vacuum bags and she acknowledged it as did the sales rep over the phone when talking with the finance company
One thing I hate, is being lied to!
Now, it's been weeks since I purchased the vacuum, I finally called the number on the vacuum (I asked if he had a business card and he didn't have one on him) to let them know I still hadn't received the bags
The girl I first talked to, put me on hold for a while while she went to check on the status, but then a man picked up on the call (not the president/owner) but the top dog in their office and proceeded to tell me that he has no proof that I should get get these bags (REALLY! LIKE I WOULD SPEND OVER $2,FOR A VACUUM AND THEN LIE ABOUT A YEARS SUPPLY OF BAGS!!!!) He told me that the salespeople are independent contractors and that they don't work for him and that the sales rep Jason, had left "a long time ago." REALLY! Within weeks is a long time!
I like the vacuum (barely used so far though...) but after this customer experience and representation of being a company employee (he said they all get to go with the families on vacation paid by the company and how great the company is -- obviously he lied!
If a Kirby vacuum rep comes to you door, don't open it! The person isn't an actual employee of Kirby and the company he apparently contracted through isn't standing by who is representing them or sold you the product

I recently brought in an older Kirby that was having trouble seating a belt My trip started with some degree of difficulty as the Kirby website lists the wrong address for this service center Once I found the right location, my visit was very pleasant The manager came out to the lobby to help with the issue He put a new belt on, properly seated the brush and successfully ran the machine Doing so also cleaned the brush which was another item of concern I hadHe felt the machine wasn't operating to its fullest capability and checked the bag He showed me it was too full and indicated at what point I should be emptying the bag I wasn't sure if I had any bags He recommended new hepa filtration bags Although I wasn't charged for the service on the machine, he did charge for the bags and I did pick up a new brush I could have purchased a used brush but thought I'd splurge, especially since I wasn't charged for the service My Kirby is a great vacuum cleaner I'm very glad to have it back in good working order

My experience was very positive with this business They have friendly, knowledgeable staff who refurbished my vacuum unit to good-as-new condition

I have purchased my second Kirby I would recommend this machine to everyone for the ease and exceptional cleaning of this product I particularly love the 7' hose attachment that can reach those hard to get into places

This review pertains to one of Kirby's authorized center, SKO EnterpriseA woman knocked on my door at a condo complex at 7:30pmShe handed me a flyer and asked if she could come in and clean of my rooms for freeI told her that I was not interestedShe insisted an I kept telling her noI then informed her that soliciting was not allowed at our complexShe said that she had already spoken to the police dept and that it was okI informed her that we have a private property sign and a no trespassing sign and that she was trespassing by solicitingShe then asked for her flyer back so she can leaveI told her that I wanted to keep the flyerShe insisted so I took a picture of the flyer and gave it back to herIf I could give zero stars I would

I had a Kirby salesmen in my home a few weeks ago showing me the new KirbyDuring the demonstration I decided to do some research online , while he was cleaning my carpetI read a bunch of negative reviews about Kirby this made me not want to purchase the machine when I asked the sales rep about the negative comments online he told me that each office is independently owned and that the Company he worked for was one of the best in The Country ,and not to judge the experience based off of what people put online but to judge it based off of what I was experiencing while he was in my home You know what he couldn't have been more right the sales rep was very professionalHe did a great job even when I told him I wasn't going to buy the machine he cleaned the entire carpet and made it look brand-newAfter realizing that I was doing business with a reputable company I decided to purchase the machine and I don't regret it this machine is awesome I am very pleased with the experience I hadThey even sent me a welcome letter and followed up with me after the sale to make sure I was happy this is everything you're looking for in a business when you buy a product like this thank you very much I will definitely be referring my friends *** *

I love the Kirby! It has worked wonders on my rug, which was heavily stained from having a dog and a babyIt's a little pricey but well worth it!

Excellent service

Our first machine was years oldThese folks refurbished it and gave it back so that we could donate it to our churchThe new machine is truly an improvement, with regard to the flexibility of the hoses and the heads (with the addition of soybean oil to the manufacture of the plastics)The new machine is lighter, stronger, has better filtration, easier movement of attachments and as mentioned, longer service life of the plastic partsTwo machines for one; truly a bargain!
