The consumer did file bankruptcy in 2014.? Knight Adjustment Bureau had not been in contact with consumer since that time.? Knight Adjustment Bureau has requested the account be removed from the credit bureaus as it was discharged in bankruptcy

I have read the complaint and conducted theappropriate investigation into this matterI would first like to say that weregret that the conversation, and or topics discussed with the account manager wereupsetting to Ms [redacted] Agents at Knight Adjustment Bureau are trained regularly, to comply not only with Stateand Federal Collections regulations, but also in communication skills andtelephone etiquetteTo be fair, the conversation between Ms [redacted] and the account manager seemed very civilIt did not appear to me that Ms [redacted] was offended, nor did it seem that the Agent got that impression eitherIn reviewing the notes from the original creditor, it appears that, a police report was given to them and a fraudinvestigation was completed The Creditor determined the the debt isstill due in full from Ms [redacted] because of the financial benefit she receivedvia ATM withdrawals, Given all of thefacts by Ms [redacted] and the account history, we feel that the currentcollection action is the appropriate course at this time.Again, we regret the conversation was upsettingYou can be assuredthat Knight Adjustment Bureau will continue to strive for the highest standardsof fairness, compliance and customer service in the collection industry Please feel free to call me directly if I can answer anyadditional questions you may have.Sincerely, Mike S [redacted] ComplianceKnight Adjustment Bureau###-###-####

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This account was opened in & closed in I have rent due & my check was garnished for an account years old, and for a default judgement that should have never happenedI was not notified of a court hearing & this is the 3rd time Knight Adjustment Bureau has done this exact thing on this accountThey have destroyed my credit for years with these bogus judgementsThe fact that I'm supposed to just call their office now is ridiculous Sincerely, [redacted] ***

The accounts in question were listed on a chapter bankruptcy filed and discharged in We reported the accounts in bankruptcy status in june of In november of 2015, the account was disputed through transunion indicating customer was not liable We confirmed the information sent to us by transunion, which indicated the account was discharged through bankruptcy In feb 2016, the consumer contacted our office and at that time we set the file to again be requested the account be closed from the credit bureaus On March 9, we submitted our monthly file to all bureaus I have attached our standard letter we send to consumers regarding accounts being reported in bankruptcy.If the account is not being reported correctly, please send me a copy of the credit report so I may address the issue with the bureaus The information I have is that I am reporting it correctly The timing of the files being uploaded in the bureaus is outside of my control but will do what is necessary to clear up the matter.I can be contacted directly at ###-###-####.Sincerely,Laurence T***

I have reviewed this complaint with all employees involved and I will attempt to answer all points of the complaint. I'm not sure what is meant by "New contract" in Mr ***'s complaint. All documents are copies of the original signed contracts. Because Mr*** Srand Mr
*** Jrhave the same first and last name, Knight Adjustment Bureau had and incident by which a determination of Jror Srhad to be re-verifiedThe name suffix was corrected and re validated The Date of Birth and Social Security Number have always been correct in showing Mr *** Jr's information. The account balance has to do with Prime Acceptance Corpwho is the Financier, and not the car lot. Prime Acceptance Corp is still very much in business I have difficulty determining how Mr*** justifies the terms of the desired settlement, and simply decline the settlement demand Knight Adjustment Bureau however, is happy to try to negotiate a possible settlement of this debt at a reduced amount as a sign of good faith.
