I have read the complaint and conducted theappropriate investigation into this matterI would first like to say that weregret that the conversation, and or topics discussed with the account manager wereupsetting to Ms*** Agents at Knight Adjustment Bureau are trained regularly,

On 4/12/the consumer did in fact pay her account with Knight Adjustment Bureau off in full using a credit card over the phone and was given a confirmation numberThe payment was fully posted to the account on 4/13/We apologize that the consumer did not get a paid in full letter at the
time she requested one on 4/25/2018, we have since mailed her a paid in full letter to the address we have on file, as well as emailed her one to the email she has providedIf there are any further questions please feel free to contact our office at 801-531-

The consumer did pay this account in full on 03-03-16. We sent an updated credit file to the credit bureaus on 04-06-and 06-13-indicating the account is paid with a balance. If in fact the credit reports from TransUnion, Experian and Equifax do not reflect this information,
the consumer may dispute this directly with them and we will be notified by the bureaus via e-oscar and we can confirm the account is paid. If the information is from a 3rd party, we do not report to them, we only report to the major credit bureaus. Knight Adjustment Bureau has followed the guidelines set for by the FCRA in reporting the account correctly.

I have reviewed this complaint with all employees involved and I will attempt to answer all points of the complaint. I'm not sure what is meant by "New contract" in Mr ***'s complaint. All documents are copies of the original signed contracts. Because Mr*** Srand Mr
*** Jrhave the same first and last name, Knight Adjustment Bureau had and incident by which a determination of Jror Srhad to be re-verifiedThe name suffix was corrected and re validated The Date of Birth and Social Security Number have always been correct in showing Mr *** Jr's information. The account balance has to do with Prime Acceptance Corpwho is the Financier, and not the car lot. Prime Acceptance Corp is still very much in business I have difficulty determining how Mr*** justifies the terms of the desired settlement, and simply decline the settlement demand Knight Adjustment Bureau however, is happy to try to negotiate a possible settlement of this debt at a reduced amount as a sign of good faith. I am rejecting this response because: I am not the responsible party for the amount attempting to be collectedI was also not in the country at the time of the lease signing, I had my roommate at the time fill out the paperwork and he was allowed to sign for usHe has also accepted full responsibility for the debt and can attest to the fact that this debt is not my responsibilityYou're company also spelled my name wrong in all the collection letters and the lease agreementI also had a conversation with the Land lords at citi view management, they are wanting the debt to be dropped aswellTHE NAME *** *** NEEDS TO BE CLEARED FROM THIS DEBT, IT IS AN INVALID DEBT COLLECTION AND NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF IMMEDIATELY.?

response because: This account was opened in & closed in I have rent due & my check was garnished for an account years old, and for a default judgement that should have never happenedI was not notified of a court hearing & this is the 3rd time Knight Adjustment Bureau has done this exact thing on this accountThey have destroyed my credit for years with these bogus judgementsThe fact that I'm supposed to just call their office now is ridiculous

To Whom It May Concern:
In response to the consumer Wanda Jackson
Knight Adjustment Bureau was assigned the account from the
client in August 2015. We did receive a
check payment for the agreed upon settlement on February 22, 2016. The payment was posted on
February 23, 2016.
On March 9, 2016, the account was reported to all credit
bureaus as a paid with a zero balance
If the credit bureaus are still showing the account as
unpaid, then the account would need to be disputed with the bureau not showing
the correct informationThey will subsequently ask us about the account and we
will confirm with them the account is paid so the record can be updated. This is a process that should be done with
the actual credit bureau and not through a third party
Regarding the receipt of a paid or settled in full notice,
we can provide that information after days.
However, we can provide a receipt of payment if needed. The reason for the 90-day wait for a paid or
settled in full notice is due to the fact that any consumer may dispute a
charge on a bank statement (checking or credit card) for days after the date
of the statementThis can be avoided if a cash payment is made
As a general rule, we do not publish our internal policies
but if the consumer would like one mailed, I can make sure that happens
Regarding the reporting of an account to the credit
bureaus. We report once a month to all
credit bureaus. If an account is paid
during any given month, it will be reported to the bureaus on the subsequent
month
I have confirmed in our system the account is paid for the
settlement arrangement as agreed and the account has been reported to all

Knight Adjustment Bureau will check with the 3 bureaus to verify the information is reporting correctly.

We appreciate the feedback from the consumer and will address any internal issues. Additionally, we have investigated the collection issue and have confirmed with the original creditor that there was no roommate release.  We do have signed contracts from both parties.  Any agreement...

between the two parties does not supersede the original contract with the creditor.  We are willing set up payment arrangements with either or both parties involved.
