to comply not only with Stateand Federal Collections regulations, but also in communication skills andtelephone etiquette. To be fair, the conversation between Ms. [redacted] and the account manager seemed very civil. It did not appear to me that Ms. [redacted] was offended, nor did it seem that the Agent got that impression either. In reviewing the notes from the original creditor, it appears that, a police report was given to them and a fraudinvestigation was completed.  The Creditor determined the the debt isstill due in full from Ms. [redacted] because of the financial benefit she receivedvia ATM withdrawals,  Given all of thefacts by Ms. [redacted] and the account history, we feel that the currentcollection action is the appropriate course at this time.Again, we regret the conversation was upsetting. On 4/12/2018 the consumer did in fact pay her account with Knight Adjustment Bureau off in full using a credit card over the phone and was given a confirmation number. Knight Adjustment Bureau has been in contact with the consumer regarding the issue and have reached an agreeable solution.

The account for the consumer was assigned to our office in 2012.  The information regarding the last charge date was entered incorrectly.  The last charge date should have been 11-24-08, it has been corrected.  As such, the account is now considered past the statute of limitations and...

we are no longer actively collecting the account.  The information will be reported to the credit bureaus in a timely manner.

adjustment called and left message on consumer voice mail. 
10/28/2015 consumer called back, in that conversation Mr. [redacted] stated he would
not be paying a dime. That he didn’t get what he paid for and he had some
questions for the client. The account manager asked consumer if he had returned
all of the materials. Consumer stated no, that they are sitting in a box.

account was marked as a verbal dispute.
11/10/2015
Knight Adjustment Bureau received a written dispute from consumer. Knight
Adjustment Bureau forward dispute letter to client.
12/11/2015
Knight Adjustment Bureau received a written response from client offering a
settlement with the return of all materials.

consumer called back and was advised of client settlement terms consumer wanted
a day to think about offer

Knight Adjustment Bureau received a voice mail from consumer wanting to take
settlement offer before he returned materials also asking for address for the
return.

consumer called and was advised to return materials to clients address consumer
also asked if account could be deleted from credit since it has a bigger
balance account manager stated would need to talk with supervisor.
Resolution:Knight Adjustment Bureau has reviewed the
account. There is a settlement offer as long as all materials are returned to
client. All derogatory information on the credit profile has been deleted.

I am rejecting this...

response because: This account was opened in 1994 & closed in 2006. I have rent due & my check was garnished for an account 23 years old, and for a default judgement that should have never happened. I was not notified of a court hearing & this is the 3rd time Knight Adjustment Bureau has done this exact thing on this account. They have destroyed my credit for 12 years with these bogus judgements. The fact that I'm supposed to just call their office now is ridiculous.

I am rejecting this response because: I am not the responsible party for the amount attempting to be collected. I was also not in the country at the time of the lease signing, I had my roommate at the time fill out the paperwork and he was allowed to sign for us. He has also accepted full responsibility for the debt and can attest to the fact that this debt is not my responsibility. You're company also spelled my name wrong in all the collection letters and the lease agreement. I also had a conversation with the Land lords at citi view management, they are wanting the debt to be dropped aswell. THE NAME [redacted] NEEDS TO BE CLEARED FROM THIS DEBT, IT IS AN INVALID DEBT COLLECTION AND NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF IMMEDIATELY.

The accounts in question were listed on a chapter 7 bankruptcy filed and
discharged in 2014.  We reported the accounts in bankruptcy status in
june of 2014.  In november of 2015, the account was disputed through
transunion indicating customer was not liable.  We confirmed the...


information sent to us by transunion, which indicated the account was
discharged through bankruptcy.  In feb 2016, the consumer contacted our
office and at that time we set the file to again be requested the
account be closed from the credit bureaus.  On March 9, we submitted our
monthly file to all 3 bureaus.  I have attached our standard letter we
send to consumers regarding accounts being reported in bankruptcy.If
the account is not being reported correctly, please send me a copy of
the credit report so I may address the issue with the bureaus.  The
information I have is that I am reporting it correctly.  The timing of
the files being uploaded in the bureaus is outside of my control but
