Knight Adjustment Bureau Reviews (73)

We appreciate the feedback from the consumer and will address any internal issuesAdditionally, we have investigated the collection issue and have confirmed with the original creditor that there was no roommate release. We do have signed contracts from both parties. Any agreement
between the two parties does not supersede the original contract with the creditor. We are willing set up payment arrangements with either or both parties involved

To Whom It May Concern:
In response to the consumer Wanda Jackson
Knight Adjustment Bureau was assigned the account from the
client in August 2015. We did receive a
check payment for the agreed upon settlement on February 22, 2016. The payment was posted on
February 23, 2016.
On March 9, 2016, the account was reported to all credit
bureaus as a paid with a zero balance
If the credit bureaus are still showing the account as
unpaid, then the account would need to be disputed with the bureau not showing
the correct informationThey will subsequently ask us about the account and we
will confirm with them the account is paid so the record can be updated. This is a process that should be done with
the actual credit bureau and not through a third party
Regarding the receipt of a paid or settled in full notice,
we can provide that information after days.
However, we can provide a receipt of payment if needed. The reason for the 90-day wait for a paid or
settled in full notice is due to the fact that any consumer may dispute a
charge on a bank statement (checking or credit card) for days after the date
of the statementThis can be avoided if a cash payment is made
As a general rule, we do not publish our internal policies
but if the consumer would like one mailed, I can make sure that happens
Regarding the reporting of an account to the credit
bureaus. We report once a month to all
credit bureaus. If an account is paid
during any given month, it will be reported to the bureaus on the subsequent
month
I have confirmed in our system the account is paid for the
settlement arrangement as agreed and the account has been reported to all
bureaus as paid with no balance owingIf there are any additional concerns or questions please feel free to contact our office @ ###-###-####

I have read all the notes on this account and have reviewed the file with the collectors involved It is our strong opinion that we are following all applicable laws and guidlines pertaining to the statute of limitations While Knight Adjustment Bureau has the interest of its client
as a priority, we do not wish to have a payment arrangement the is unattainableAlthough we do not feel that stopping collection efforts is on option at this stage, we appreciate that you have been paying what you can and would be glad to consider a settlement of the remaining interest when the principle amount and legal fees have been paid in full Please contact myself or the account manager with any questions or inquiries and we will do our best to work with you on payments going forward.Regards,Mike S*Knight Adjustment Bureau###-###-####

The consumer did pay this account in full on 03-03-16. We sent an updated credit file to the credit bureaus on 04-06-and 06-13-indicating the account is paid with a balance. If in fact the credit reports from TransUnion, Experian and Equifax do not reflect this information,
the consumer may dispute this directly with them and we will be notified by the bureaus via e-oscar and we can confirm the account is paid. If the information is from a 3rd party, we do not report to them, we only report to the major credit bureaus. Knight Adjustment Bureau has followed the guidelines set for by the FCRA in reporting the account correctly

Regarding complaint *** for *** ***.This account was assigned to our office in The original principal balance was ***, adding collection agency fees as per contract, the amount assigned was *** Since interest does accrue, and we obtained a judgment and

Yes, the suffix of "Sr." to "Jr." that Mr*** was concerned about has been corrected Mr*** statements of "There was another car involved" and "verbal agreement" do not give enough information or substance to begin to addressA written contract will supersede a verbal agreement in most cases The offer of $to settle this balance is simply not reasonable and litigation has already begun on this account Again, Knight Adjustment bureau is willing to consider a reasonable settlement offer or payment arrangements

The accounts in question were listed on a chapter bankruptcy filed and
discharged in 2014. We reported the accounts in bankruptcy status in
june of 2014. In november of 2015, the account was disputed through
transunion indicating customer was not liable. We confirmed the
information sent to us by transunion, which indicated the account was
discharged through bankruptcy. In feb 2016, the consumer contacted our
office and at that time we set the file to again be requested the
account be closed from the credit bureaus. On March 9, we submitted our
monthly file to all bureaus. I have attached our standard letter we
send to consumers regarding accounts being reported in bankruptcy. If
the account is not being reported correctly, please send me a copy of
the credit report so I may address the issue with the bureaus. The
information I have is that I am reporting it correctly. The timing of
the files being uploaded in the bureaus is outside of my control but
will do what is necessary to clear up the matter.I can be contacted directly at ###-###-####.Sincerely,Laurence T***

The account for the consumer was assigned to our office in 2012. The information regarding the last charge date was entered incorrectly. The last charge date should have been 11-24-08, it has been corrected. As such, the account is now considered past the statute of limitations and
we are no longer actively collecting the account. The information will be reported to the credit bureaus in a timely manner
