A bit over-priced, but the electrician that was sent out to my home was very courteous and professional. I would recommend Mr. Sparky, however if you are on a tight budget, you should shop around.

John and Lauren with Mister Sparky were wonderful to work with. It was an emergency of sorts and they were eager to assist as quickly as possible. John was professional and efficient with his time. He even checked my breaker box to make certain there were no problems located there, preemptively. I would call them again in a heartbeat. I was really impressed with the professional way they took care of my problem.
Customer service was a top notch experience from the moment they answered the phone. As for the servicemen, they showed up on time, kept things neat, clean, gave a fair quote, did the work, cleaned up everything and were two of the most courteous gentlemen I've had servicing my home. As for the work--it's almost artistic. It really was the best case scenario. In fact my father, a retired electrician, had no complaints when he saw the work, and that's a high rave coming from him! I would have them back, definitely.
Had Mr. Sparky to our house to remove 2 bathroom light fixtures and replace worth 2 fixtures. Chris called us and let us know he was on his way and was on time. His work was exceptional. He checked what had to be done then gave us a price. Chris was very professional and his work was neat. After completing the job in a timely manner, he cleaned up everywhere he had worked. We were very happy with the work..
I contacted by phone (XXX-XXX-XXXX) to have it repaired an outside wall out;let for the landscaping lights.
The Mr. Sparky representative totally deceived me. He came to my house and instead to check what was the problem with the outlet, he started to offer me all kind of services for thousands of Dollars. When I requested to fix the outlet he informed me that he has to test first the entire house for $145.00 as a base test and if he cannot find the problem he will have to do a thorough test for another 200$! When I asked if the amount requested for testing is included in the repair cost he said "NO!" mentioning that I have to pay extra for the work done.
When I protested to his request Mr. Sparky's Representative requested in a very arrogant manner to pay for the call of service I made and asked me to sign that he solved the problem. I had to pay him for the call (59.00 dollars) but I refused to sign his receipt in which it was written that he performed his work. It looks to me that Mr. Sparky of Sarasota is a sham!!
I checked with other people in my area and one of them complained that that he had the same experience I encountered with Mr. Sparky of Sarasota!
Called Mr Sparky this past weekend to receive a quote on a full house inspection. We were asked if we have priced other companies and we said we have. They replied with "we can promise we will be higher than them". Or in other words, they didnt want our business.
Mr. Sparky did an excellent job for our church. We are thoroughly pleased with the job, their professionalism, and the competitive pricing. Both Trevor and Dustin were just super. We have already decided that "ALL" of our future electrical needs will be handled by Mr. Sparky, period.

I found the Mr Sparky Organization to be pleasant and professional. The service performed was excellent and a warranty was provided at the end of the job. I did feel however, that the fee charged was high. The task was to hang two lights (which had to be assembled and put together by the electrician) over a kitchen island. The electrical connections were already in the ceiling as they had been put their by the builder. For this service, I was charged $548.75.
Beware of the sales tactucs. I was sold a service call rate of $59 over the phone. The Mister Sparky agent told me the $59 covered the electrician coming to my home, finding the electrical problem and then preparing a printed report showing what was wrong and the detailed cost of repair. He said we do not charge by the hour. The electrician arrived, checked the outlets (that I already identified), and then told my wife the charge to continue with the diagnostics service was over $200.00. She signed the agreement and he found an outside light timer plugged into an outlet was the cause of a tripping breaker, when he unplugged the light timer. He put some silicon around the edges of the outlet and upgraded another outlet (not causing a problem). He said the "repair" -was included in the charge. I would think silicon and unpluging a light timer shiuld be covered in a charge of almost $300.00. Watch out for the tatics and overcharging.
