This is the first AC company I ever purchased a service contract withIt has turned out to be the worst experience of my home owning lifeThe technician lied to me about the interest rate I would pay, and flirted A LOT in order to charm me into a contract and an additional itemHe continued to contact me, and lead me onMy fault for falling for it, but what happened after I figured everything out was shameful
I purchased an Air Scrubber system and a service contractThe tech explained to me that the interest rate was 7.99% I asked if that was APR and he said, "YES" so I financed about $I trusted this guyFirst mistakeI didn't really pay attention to what I was paying, just signed up for autopayThat was my 2nd mistakeALWAYS double check what the salesman saysOver the next two years they came out times and I didn't think there was a problemThen I had a lot of time on my hands and decided to check up on my financesIt was then I discovered that I had been paying 7.99% MONTHLY for their billOver two years I had paid over $in interest on what I owed! Certainly NOT the 7.99% APR I was promisedI contacted the Temperature Control Office and told them I needed to get out of that arrangement and into something else*** the office manager balkedI then decided to threaten them with bad reviewsThen and only then were they willing to make a new arrangement with meSo why am I writing this bad review? Well this was months ago, and I am a woman of my wordIt's what happened AFTER this that I'm writing aboutI decided that their service contract was not worth to me what I was paying, so I cancelled my contractToday I had another company come outThe technician told me that the Air Scrubber light was outIt's JUST been yearsThe Temp Control tech told me it would last 2-yearsI honestly didn't expect it to be only I called Temp Control and spoke with *** I asked her if the light was still under warranty (it wasn't by months) so I asked how I can get the light fixedShe told me that since Temp Control sent in my product registration that THEY would receive a letter from the manufacturer about the new light but since I was no longer a service customer that they probably wouldn't call me about it, and that I can call any company to get the work doneSeriously, that's what she said
I called back and spoke with *** (A very nice woman)I told her my story, and she begged me not to write a bad reviewShe would talk with *** the office manager in the morningI had dealt with *** before and found her to be non-compassionate and often took her time in getting back with meI promised *** I would put off the bad review until end of business the next dayIf they want to make things right with me, they could fix the Air Scrubber light at the 20% discount I had as a service customer
*** came over a week later, was very apologetic, told me that the other technician had been fired, and I wasn't the only one who he flirted withHe was all about the sale, and that's not the Temp Control wayHe then gave me a price to replace the light$that included a 20% discountThe company that discovered the burned out light quoted me $WITHOUT a 20% discountWhen I brought that to ***'s attention, he gave the standard line of "We can't control what other companies charge"The other company had also offered me a 20% discountThat comes to $They have a good reputation, and good reviewsThey will also guarantee the light for the years So in essence Temperature Control was going to charge me full retail, but SAY it was 20% offNot cool
To their credit Temp Control did help me change my financing from 7.99% to no interest for monthsHowever when I paid off the service contract, my monthly bill did NOT go downI am forever committed to $a month through the end of my balance, even though $a month would be the correct payment for my balance after months I contacted the finance company and they said the monthly amount would not go down even though my balance had changedThey said Temp Control controlled that, when I asked *** about that, he said the finance company controlled thatI'm not fighting this anymoreLife is too short
I was not happy with this company! They are all about selling you something you don't need! They charged me dollars for things my Air conditioner did not benefit fromMy air conditioner is exactly the same thing as it was before! I'm not happy I just lost dollars!

This company has failed to return funds owed to me for a cancelled service contract
In September of 2015, I had a problem with my air conditioner, (a startup capacitor) and a technician and the owner of Temp-con came to service the AC This company handed me papers that said they had an A+ rating with the Revdex.com which I believed, I guess I should have looked at the Revdex.com website before I signed upThey pressured me into purchasing a service contract with them telling me how much money I was going to save so I signed up for years of service and paid $2,654.00, which I paid in advance They were supposed to come two times per year and service my AC and hot water heater They came one time and told me that my AC was leaking and sold me a couple hundred dollars of Freon which I believe was fraudulent because the AC hadn't leaked before or after that event They didn't remember to come for the second service so after a couple times of reminding them, they came and serviced the AC and h
I've been a Temp-Con customer for around years now and have all the confidence in the world in themGreat team of profferionalsThank you for those years of great service! Trustworthiness is worth everything and you can find it with this company!

Except for some minor scheduling confusion that has hopefully been taken care of, everything went very well *** was very friendly and efficient
