Refusal to fix leak over garage under the warranty.
On 31 July 2019, we contracted with LeafFilter to replace our old gutters with new gutters with their system installed. We originally paid $6646.00. The installation crew showed up at the agreed upon time and started to work. After they took down the old gutters, they came to me to show me that there were two places where the roof behind the old gutters had rotted: one on the back corner of the house and one place over the garage door. They then told me to repair the damage, and prepare that section of the roof to receive the new gutters would cost an additional $1,200.00. After I paid them, they went to *** and bought the materials to do the repair. They finished up and left. A few days later, it rained. I went out to check the gutters and all was good, except over the garage. I contacted LeafFilter and they sent Joshua W to check it out. He said there was a piece missing that was allowing the water to leak between the gutter and the roof. He said we would have to pay to add that part. I said we already paid extra to get and any additional work should be covered by the warranty. He then put me in touch with Dan ***, who, after some discussion agreed that the repair should be done under the warranty. That was sometime in August. Since then, one person came out to look at the area again. That was around October. Since December, I have sent about 6 emails with constant response of, "we're looking into it." Now, a rep called today, and argued with me about this issue being covered by the warranty even though one of their managers has already agreed that it was covered. This latest guy (can't remember name) said he would check and get back to me. No word from him as of yet. The job number is CHA

Desired Outcome

Fix the roof over the garage so that it no longer leaks as a warranty job with no additional cost to us.

LeafFilter North of North Carolina - Charlotte Response • Mar 06, 2020

Resolution has been achieved.

The gutters do not work. Second time called them because water drips over them and dot going down the down spout.
I had Leaf Filter installed on 12/12/2019. I called them because when it rained, the rain came over the gutters like a waterfall. They came and put a plastic guard in one spot (the gutters still drip all in the front). It snowed last night and when the snow was melting from the roof, it was like I had a waterfall coming from my roof (nothing from the down spouts). I have called them and waiting for a call back. I don't want to hear them say, "It takes time for the filter to absorbed the water). I want the filters to handle the water like they claim!

Desired Outcome

This produce does not do what they are meant to do, have the rain water/meeting snow go down the downspout and not wash over the gutters into the bushes below.

LeafFilter North of North Carolina - Charlotte Response • Feb 26, 2020

We inspected the system on 2/26/19 all looks good. We educated the customer about dripping. Customer wants us to come out next rain to revisit the issue.

Customer Response • Feb 26, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They did come and inspected the filters and said the filters have a lip where water does drip off of them. I did not find this acceptable. I have gutters so the water will go down the gutter spout, not drip off the gutters. They will come back when it rains and view the drops of water. I know it will not be resolved. If I had knowed the filters would cause water to drip from them, I would not have got the filters.

LeafFilter North of North Carolina - Charlotte Response • Feb 27, 2020

Once it rains we will come back to review the situation and help the customer if any further concerns arise.

Leaf Filter did not do an accurate job as stated in our contract. They did an incomplete, haphazard job. Leaving me with issues and problems.
I met with a sales representative Carlos R from Leaf Guard on January 6, 2020. After deciding to let them do my gutter work, two unskilled workers came to my home do the work on January 7. The amount for the job to be done was 3288.00 which is to be financed with *** Bank. The workers left numerous things undone and not finished, as well as trie to charge me for extra work they said I needed done that day. Neither employee spoke English well. Some of my gutters were left unattached to my house, other things were haphazardly done. After stopping them from leaving three times to correct things I could obviously see that we're not done, I contacted the sales representative as well as the district manager Graham. Graham was supposed to call me back that evening or next day to correct the issues. I never received a call from him as of January 12. After taking pictures of the undone work I sent them to both Carlos and Graham. Graham never read the text as of today's date, January 12. Carlos did respond that they would take care of the issues by this coming Tuesday, January 14. This is the order number for the job I believe CHAXXXXX. I have numerous pictures that show the terrible job they did and what they just left. I am a *** and *** woman. I feel that I was taken advantage of in this situation. I am hoping they will live up to their word and complete and correct this job by January 14. I'm extremely skeptical to say the least. I also feel that I was over charged for the services and am asking fir a decrease in the amount charged.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking the job be completed satisfactory and a decrease in price based on the job they performed and not sticking to the contract.

Im so frustrated with this company ! I dont even know where to begin. I have had the same experience as everyone of these negative reviews. I had this system installed in august 2019 and I am still trying to get proper repairs done . I have been stood up and lied to numerous , numerous times. I've even contacted the CEOs office. But here I sit , still waiting to get what I paid for. I believe we should all get legal councle.

LeafFilter North of North Carolina - Charlotte Response • Jan 09, 2020

I apologize for this inconvenience. We will notify the manager out of your local office and have them reach out to you immediately. Thank you for your patience.

On Nov 1,2019 Leaf Filter sold me a contract. The Person representing them was Tim T, (***). The installation was not correct and the representative Mr. C came to report to the District Manager; "Angelo" ***. So Mr. C said a crew would correct the day before Thanksgiving. No one showed. I called and they said it would be 12/2/2019; no one showed. Then they finally showed up on 12/9/2019. The contract calls for the corner miters in both front and back be replaced. They were not; and it is dripping even today still. Mr. C damaged my front yard while slamming his ladder down in his frustration. I want it fixed the way it was supposed to be. I do not understand why this cannot be done and I have ask over and over and over. Now they just have an auto reply that someone will "reach out to you" they don't. I have a voice disability; called dystonia and it makes it hard for me to speak loudly which is why I prefer email. Alana at the Customer Service Number seems quite rude and will not help. If I hire someone else (which I should not have to do as this was $2300 and my gutters are not that long.

Desired Outcome

Finish the job I want the corners and all dripping fixed per the contract. Time grows short here in NC; and soon it will be ice. I'm tired of the dripping all the time; my wet side walk; I just want it fixed ASAP; so I can just be done with this company; I live in a *** community that is small; but everyone has seen all this trouble. Please Help me to get them to fix it RIGHT. So I don't have to keep asking and ghost crews get scheduled that never show up; or ones that cannot do the job.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The workers arrived on time 12/19 as stated. And this crew had ID/ business cards. No others did or would offer even last names. They immediately saw the problem; and all the damage done by past efforts of crews dispensed to resolve the issues with not fulfilling the contract. They corrected the problem in front and back. I only wish these folks had come the first time. It is supposed to "shower" here on Sun. , if there are drips I will re-file; but the fact that they SAW the problem; not denied it, as was done in the past and went straight to work makes me think it will not drip (at last). When I saw what had been left in the gutters by past workers it was a good thing they came when they did. As noted I will re-file should the leak show up after the next shower here. The damaged plants cannot be replaced as they were 4 years old and it is too late in year; but they did see where past "crews" had done that; which made me feel vindicated in my numerous complaints to the company on my own. I appreciate the Revdex.com and their prompt assistance on this matter. And I truly appreciate this crew of who appear to be PROFESSIONAL MEN , who know the job and get straight to work. Arrive on time with ID and listen to the customer.
Again, thank you Revdex.com and the Regional Manager for what appears to be a final resolution to these issues of completing a contract as should be done.

Customer Response • Jan 14, 2020

The leak at the back still is not fixed; they sent someone out here to fix on a wet day which cannot be done to my knowledge. I have over 2 quarts of water still dripping today. I want them to pay whatever it costs for me to find competent help; I want the plants in my yard compensated for. and the money I had to pay to fix the drain coil in the front. I do not think they want to fix this; they think they can scam you with a incompetent job and you will do away. This District Manager refuses to communicate via email; I have a voice disability and I have great difficulty communicating on the phone. I believe this DM thinks that is advantage and he can just continue on and on. They have had my money since Nov. I want it fixed and my front yard fixed. This has taken a great toll on my stress level constantly following up for over 90 days now.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I am in agreement until/ if the work done fails; I reserve the option to refile and alert other agencies should I have a 12th need to chase this company. What I am also disappointed in is that there is no remorse expressed or apology by the DM for this area and this requires daily follow up due to past performance. This is now over 1/4 of a year of my life spent on something that should have taken 1 day of my life; the original job. And all the while you have had my money.

Problems with LeafFilter gutter system installation.
Gutter leaking, not cleaned, not sealed, not re-aligned, hangers not replaced.
The contract date was August 26, 2019. The contract price was $2,983, which was paid by personal check. The sales rep was Chris O. The job number was ***.
The work was scheduled to start on August 29, 2019, but did not begin until September 9th. It was completed the same day. My wife and I were away on vacation from September 10th through the 23rd. I do not believe it had rained at all while we were gone. The Problem Date was September 29th, when we finally had a heavy rain shower, and I first noticed the gutter on the front side of the house was leaking. This was a known problem area which I pointed out to the sales rep. He assured me that it would be fixed. The continuing leak in this particular area told me that the gutter had not been re-aligned as promised, the gutter had not been sealed with silicone as promised, and perhaps had not been cleaned as promised. I initially contacted LeafFilter about this issue on October 1st. This began a more than two month adventure, of placed phone calls to LeafFilter. On at least four occasions we have been promised to have repairs completed, only to have no one show up - and to receive NO phone calls. On one occasion a repair technician arrived but did not have a long enough ladder to do the job. No one at his office told him about needing a longer ladder. Our most recent promise for repair was December 4th. No one showed. I can furnish additional details if necessary.

The following is very important. On November 29th a young man from LeafFilter arrived, who described himself as an installer, as well as an installer trainer. He came to inspect the issue with our gutter. He got up on his ladder and took pictures, which he showed to my wife and myself. One picture showed a section of gutter near the end cap, which had not LeafFilter covering. Another picture showed debris in the gutter. Another picture showed a gutter hanger which should have been replaced. He explained that Leaf Filter uses a special type of hanger which provides more structural integrity. He speculated that none of the hangers around the entire house, had been replaced. He also said that the gutters had not been sealed. His recommendation was that the ENTIRE install should be inspected and repaired.

Desired Outcome

Simply, I want this job to be completed. I want what is stated in the contract to be completed. The entire job should be inspected. The gutters should be sealed. They should be re-aligned if necessary. They should be cleaned. The specific "Leaf Filter" hangers should be installed at five foot intervals. After all of this, I want them to show me that the gutters won't leak. They can spray water up on the roof if necessary.

Customer Response • Dec 19, 2019

Please be advised that as they previously promised on December 14th, workers from LeafFilter did not come to our home yesterday - December 17th. We did not receive a phone call from anyone at Leaf Filter explaining a possible delay, or an offer to reschedule. As I speculated in my last email, the weather conditions here deteriorated shortly after noon, with rain and increasing winds. If they had in fact arrived at the early side of their stated time frame (10am), the repairs could have likely been complete. We placed calls to Sarah at the North Carolina office, and Levi, the installer who visited us on November 29 and who was supposed to be here yesterday. Both calls were met with voicemail, and the calls were not returned.

At this time I request that our case be kept open, as none of the previously mentioned repair work has been done.
Thank you very much for you assistance in this matter.

LeafFilter North of North Carolina - Charlotte Response • Dec 23, 2019

We provided an inspection to the customer. Our next step is to set up a time and day to make the repairs.

LeafFilter North of North Carolina significantly damaged my front copper roof, gutters, Leafilter product and boxwood plants at the front of my house.
On November 8, 2019 LeafFilter North of North Carolina installed a gutter cover that is supposed to prevent leaves and other debris from entering my gutters. LeafFilter agreed to initially do a partial removal of the old front gutter covers thereby permitting me to view the impact on the copper roof abutting the covers before complete removal, leaving the old gutter covers, if necessary, on the front of the house to preserve the copper roof. Instead, LeafFilter, without my permission, removed the entire front gutter system, significantly damaging the front copper roof and aesthetics of front of the house.

LeafFilter North of North Carolina - Charlotte agreed to remedy the situation and sent someone to restore the copper roof. When that person could not remedy the situation LeafFilter sent a second person to repair my copper roof. The first attempt by the second person to restore my copper roof also failed and LeafFilter indicated they would have to order a chemical that they indicated would repair the significant damage to my copper roof. When this chemical did not work, unbeknownst to me, LeafFilter tried to repair my copper roof with acid. The application of the acid served to not only further destroy the copper roof but caused the LeafFilter product itself, the gutters to be eaten away and the front boxwood plants to be damaged. (Pictures attached)

LeafFilter also made an authorized charge to my credit card.

I have been attempting to resolve this with LeafFilter since November 9, 2019. They sent someone to my house to take pictures. I provided that person additional pictures and estimates for repair, as he requested. Since that time LeafFilter has not returned any of my telephone calls.

Desired Outcome

Repair of damage copper roof, gutters, boxwood plants, and LeafFilter product installed on the front of my roof. Alternatively, payment for repair to copper roof and gutters and boxwood plants and repair of damage to LeafFilter product installed on the front of my roof. Written acknowledgement that LeafFilter warranty is provided. I can provide an estimate for repairs - I was only able to attach one document so I choose the pictures.

Leaffilter has not been in contact with me as promised.

On 25 Nov, Mr. Dan B, Maintenance Manager, LeafFilter, visited my house and indicated he would be handling my repairs. Mr. B noted the extent of the damage to house and stated that the copper roof would be repaired. I provided some initial estimates to Mr. B.

Mr. B took pictures and asked for me to send any pictures I might have. I indicated that I would like to move forward on repairs before Thanksgiving, November 28. Mr. B indicated that I would hear back from him before then.

That same day, November 25th, I e-mailed pictures of the damage to Mr. B.

Given no response as promised by Mr. B, on November 27th I called him and left a voice mail inquiring as to the status.

Again, given no response by Mr. B, on December 2nd I again called Mr. B. Mr. B indicated he had sent pictures of the damage and the preliminary estimates to Mr. Joe P, Regional Manager, LeafFilter North, and that I should contact Mr. P. I called Mr. P that same day and left a message.

With no response from Joe P or anyone at LeafFilter, I again called Mr. P on December 4 and left another message indicating that Mr. B had advised me that estimates and pictures had been provided to Mr. P on December 2nd, and inquired as to the status of my complaint.

I filed this complaint with the Revdex.com on December 6th, given Leaffilter's failure to respond. Leaffilter had not reached out to me as they indicated they would in their response to the Revdex.com.

I have attached estimates for the repair of the copper roof and the stone work as well as replacement gutters. Also attached is an additional picture of the damage to the Leaffilter product. These estimates do not include the repair to the Leaffilter product or the boxwood plants.

On December 19, 2019, I sent an e-mail to Ms. Lesley Brocato (Customer Relationship Manager, LeafFilter North, LLC.) stating that any recovery LeafFilter might receive from its insurance is "between LeafFilter and its insurance company" - "it is unrelated to my direct claim against LeafFilter and the payment LeafFilter owes me for the damage it caused" to my copper roof, gutters, LeafFilter product and boxwood plants.

In my e-mail of December 19, I also asked Ms. Brocato what else she might need from me regarding LeafFilter's damage to my house and when I might receive payment.

I have had no response to my e-mail of December 19, 2019 to Ms. Brocato and have had to self-fund repairs to my copper roof and gutters to prevent further damage to my house given the recent constant rainfall.

Further, on December 16, 2019, in an e-mail to Ms. Brocato, I stated that I wanted LeafFilter reinstalled after all of the work is done and I also wanted written acknowledgement of LeafFilter's continued provision of the lifetime warranty at no additional charge given that the damage to the LeafFilter product was the direct result of the damage LeafFilter caused to the LeafFilter product. Ms. Brocato has also not responded to this.

I have not been informed of any scheduling - assumed to be of the damages LeafFilter product. As previously noted, LeafFilter sent Dan B, Maintenance Manager, LeafFilter, to examine and investigate the damage LeafFilter caused to my house before Thanksgiving of last year. He took pictures and I provided him additional pictures. This was discussed in detail with Joe P, Regional Manager, LeafFilter North, in early December of last year. Estimates for repairs and paid receipts were provided to Ms. Leslie Bracato, Customer Relations Manager, LeafFilter North in mid-December 2019. To prevent further damage to my house, as I notified Mr. P in early December of last year, I have had to proceed with self-fund repairs to my house now totaling in excess of $10,000, with one repair totaling over $2,000 still pending completion. LeafFilter continues to fail to reimburse me for these self-funded repairs that will total in excess of $12,000 as a direct result of the significant damage LeafFilter caused to my house.

LeafFilter Gutter Guards installed and are leaking between gutter and Soffit/Fascia.
Job Number*** Sales Rep: Mickey F The sales person came to the house inspected the gutters and said the gutters were in good shape. They just needed to be sealed. A husband and wife team came out on Friday, 11/22/19, to install the gutter guards. I inspected on Saturday, 11/23/19, (after a light rain) and immediately called LeafFilter requesting a return call on Monday, November 25, 2019 stating there was a problem with the install. There is a gap between the roof and the gutter and there is no way any water will drain into the gutter. I called again on 11/26/19 and spoke with the customer service department who informed me that they would send a manager out to look at the job and they would be contacting me within 24 hours (which is their policy). When I asked why I was not contacted on Monday, she explained to me that they had a very high call volume and they were very busy. I told her there was a problem with the install and when the installer found there was a problem was it customary for them to finish the job knowing this, she said if they knew there was a problem that they should have stopped the install then. I find it hard to believe that this installer did not see there was a problem. I could see there was a problem and I know nothing about installing their product. I contracted for a product that I expected to be installed properly and asked multiple times that if there was a problem with the gutters, would the installer let me know. The answer from the sales rep was, YES. There is nothing I can do to fix this. I expect LeafFilter to fix the problem or come remove their product, refund my money and let me get a reputable company out to install what needs to be done. My 89 year old mother was home and was taken advantage of by this company. I think they never expected her to get up on a ladder to see if it was done correctly but unfortunately for them you can't hide the leaks.

Desired Outcome

I expect LeafFilter to fix the problem or come remove their product, refund my money and let me get a reputable company out to install what needs to be done.

We had a leaf filter system installed in April of 2019. The system cost $9,849.00. The system leaks at most of the seams and we need to have an additional downspout installed. The gutters all need to be realigned or pitched . I know all this because a technician came out to the house to check our system and explained all this to me and my husband. We were assured all this would be taken care of. It has not been taken care of and this has been going on since May. Every time we call we are assured that someone will get back to us by the end of the day. That has not happened. It is now November.

He repitched the front gutters where the additional downspout was needed but did not have time to address the back of the house. The gutters in the back of the house need to be repitched and the original installation crew used silicone at the joints so all the rain water drips off of the top of the gutter guard. Does anyone in your organization talk to one another? The case is not closed and I am not going away.

One technician came to the house today Jan. 29 and did not have a 30 or 40 foot ladder so he could not do anything on the back of the house. He said everything needs to be rep itched on the back of the house because he can see where all the water leaks just by looking at it. He couldn't do anything about the silicone since he doesn't have a ladder reach it.

They were a no show today. Could not guarantee the 2nd. Called them to cancel girl said manager would get on phone. No manager called back.
Contracted 10/30/19 install today 11/25/19. Was supposed to be here between 9-11. When it got close to 11 I called. Was told they were coming and it was to be between 9-11. 5 min. later a man called and said installer was a no show. But they could do it the first week of December but could not guarantee it. I reluctantly chose the 2nd. I thought about it and called back to cancel around 12:30. The woman said to hold she would get a manager. She came back said none was available but the would call me. No call. I was concerned be cause Mr. Wills seemed strange at the time he came to my house on the 30th. He started out telling me the cost would be 5 thousand. I told him that was crazy. Then he came down to 3 thousand. Told him that still was crazy. He asked me how much I thought it would cost. He tired to get me to pay another 500. I told him no that 2 thousand was all I would pay. I gave him a 2 hundred deposit. I kind of thought it would be a no show today after his conduct on the 30th. Now I am really uncomfortable with the company and just want my deposit back. I have never heard of a company acting like this one.

Desired Outcome

I want my 200.00 deposit back and the cancellation with this company

Case # *** Ref* I was contacted by LeafFilter this morning telling me they had a installer for today. I told them that it was canceled through the Revdex.com. I do not know what game this company is playing. When I contacted you I had also contacted Shawn W who sold me the job and told him I wanted my deposit back. He old me the check had not been deposited which is a lie. The bank shows it deposited on Nov. 1st. He said he needed the job number to get my address I gave him the job number and my address. So he too knew I had canceled the job. There is something wrong with this company. I just want my deposit back and to be done with them.

Contracted to have guards placed on rental home in 2018 - just found out only 1/2 job done...no customer service response after numeroust attemps.
On May 3, 2018 I contracted to have gutters placed on my current residence as well as my rental property to the tune of $3,858.00. Job was "done" on May 6, 2018.

In Summer 2019, tenants were concerned about the "jungle" growing in back gutter and the musty smell in the first floor bedroom. I had them contact Leaf Filter to set up a time convenient for them to have the system checked out. Finally of October 8, 2019, a rep from Leaf Filter came out, cleaned off the gutters and informed them that there were no guards ever installed in the back. According to the tenant, he took photos and said he would report back to the main office in Charlotte.
On Oct. 16, 2010, I called Customer Service, explained my situation and he told me he'd have one of the managers in the Charlotte office contact me.

On October 24, 2019, I called once again, having not heard from a representative. I was placed on hold for 15 minutes as she tried to contact a manager or the Regional Manager. She apologized and said she would put out an urgent message for one of the to call me.

On Oct. 25, 2019, at 9:48 a.m. I received a call from Josh, a contractor for Leaf Filter, who said he would be out to finish the installation at noon and take care of any issues I might be having. I told him that until I spoke with a supervisor he was not to go on to the property. He told me he'd have someone call me. At 10:28 he called to see if I'd heard back from anyone yet and them again at 11:27...no calls to date.

On October 29, 2019, my tenant called and told me that Josh had contacted them and wanted to finalize this installation. They told him that would not authorize this visit until he spoke with me.

On November 1, 2019, I sent a letter to both LeafFilter North at their *** address and to the warranty office on *** in ***, Ohio. Both letters were sent Certified mail/return receipt requested. *** signed the one from the Ohio office on November 4th and the One from the *** address, which is the main address listed on their contract, was returned as not deliverable as addressed. The *** address is the secondary address on their contract.

Desired Outcome

Due to incompletion of the initial job, in my opinion, this constitutes a breach of contract. Had I been contacted by anyone during all of this, I may have elected for job completion. However, after personally spending almost $8,000.00 on my two homes and having recommended this company to others (my sister spent almost $4,000.00 on her home), I now want a full refund for the price of these gutters. Although I have not had it inspected, I am afraid that there has been some damage due to water and weed build up on the roof and because of the mildew smell in the main floor bedroom, I'm hoping there isn't going to be a mold issue in the future.

Service arrived to complete job on 10/28/2019, tenant refused to allow LF on property to service. Customer has been contacted by email and phone message, LeafFilter is currently waiting for response to discuss.

I had gutter guards installed and have a lifetime warranty. Ryan C had Calvin in Charlotte come to my home and was shocked at the poor installation and told Leaf Filter to return all my money $5600 and $2000 for damage to my home interior and I have called over 100x and not a refund check since April 5, 2019 . I have tried and no one on the phones will let me speak to upper management . I have called so many times and been promised a check numerous times.

I have had absolutely nothing in writing from this company but was promised a refund of $7500 and $2000 for deductible reimbursement . I have had no writing about what the company is doing to resolve the mess they caused at my home and this is a national problem for this company. They had so many complaints it was escalated to one Revdex.com in California and now it is back in North Carolina . I want my money back that the WARRANTY fully states I am entitled to. This is fraud on this company and falls under guidelines of Attorney Generals office for such with damages due to the manner in which they are applying insurance/Warranty and can be held to additional fee's for bad faith. I need you to be very proactive for the people of North Carolina who are being defrauded by this company and its system that does not work .

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This company has more complaints about its products that all complaints were to be sent to California and this is just recently reassigned back to North Carolina. They have provided no legal letters as I have received none and this very company sent two people from there company who took pictures and told me I would get all my monies returned in addition to $2000 in deductible to fix damages from there poorly designed and installed product. I was told by the regional supervisor who inspected the photos after Charlotte leaf filter took photos and was told he had sent all information to upper management for an immediate reimbursement and that I could remove the gutters and install new ones based in the damage to my home . I was told this was one of the worst install systems they had seen and I have five witnesses to such . I was assured a refund and even given the cell phone number of the person who was to send me the check in early summer . This company is running a complete fraud upon the customers in this country and state and before they go bankrupt I want my money. Read the warranty for yourself and you can clearly see they are in the wrong and are acting in bad faith . I need someone here at the Revdex.com to put a caveat emptor onto this company or Buyer Beware and I have been in contact with the attorney General of NC and suggest you also co tact such about the number of complaints at they are receivjng. I hope the public has a way to read this response as this company is a complete fraud and offers a warranty that they are not allowing and is a violation of insurance laws per general assembly statutes in this state for acting in bad faith . I do not accept this response and neither should you . Ask them to provide legal letters they have sent me and the photos from their in house investigators . They have requested photos from me and I refuse to share with them as they have them and they know it . Or because they take advantage of customers they have lost them or discarded of them thinking I would go away ...I will not !!!!!

Leaffilter sends unqualified workers to perform a skilled trade on your home. Their ad on craigslist even says, "weekend warriors welcome".
They lie, lie, lie. Install their product next day before you can even think about. They do installs next day, so contracts can't be cancelled. That is their motto. " Next day Installs".
And when you have a problem, It takes numerous phone calls and even then they send unqualified people to take care of service, which actually doesn't happen.
This company brags about making over $300 Million last year!! They do not care about the consumer.. Get customer to sign contract, install next day while your at work, and your on your own. Warranty isn't worth the paper its printed on.
Call a local company in your area, NOT LEAFFILTER!!

The product or installation is not working as it should.
On August 22, 2019 I contacted Customer Service and scheduled an appointment for a technician to come to the house. The date for the service was scheduled for September 5th, between 1:00 and 5:00 PM. We made arraignments for a family member to be at the house when the technician was there so that we could show them where the issues were. At 12:48 PM on September 5th I contacted Customer Service to confirm the appointment and was advised that it was still on the books. By 5:40 PM that afternoon no technician had arrived or called. I called the Customer Service number and because the office was closed I left a voice message advising that ono one had showed up for the appointment. I told them that we had to plan for someone to be at the house that day to meet with their employee. I requested that someone contact me back.
On September 6, 2019 at 10:18 AM, after not receiving a call back, I called the Customer Service line again. I spoke to a female and informed her that no one had showed up for the appointment on September 5th. I also advised her that no one had returned my call from my voice mail message. She put me on hold to contact the manager for that area. She then came back on the phone and advised me that the manager was driving through some mountains and that he would return my call when he got back to his office. The manager never called me.
On September 10, 2019 at 3:27 PM I called the Customer Service line again and was advised that the manager for the area was named Daniel. They told me that Daniel was contacted on September 6th and was suppose to call me back. The Customer Service Agent told me that they were going to attempt to contact Daniel and then connect me to him. The Agent was unable to contact anyone at Daniel's office. She stated that she was going to e-mail them to advise them that no one had followed up with my call. She stated that I should received a follow-up call on my cell phone no later than the end of the business day on September 11, 2019. I never received a return phone call.
On September 17, 2019 at 3:49 PM I spoke to a Customer Service Agent named "Nick." He was unable to reach Daniel. He said that he was going to send an e-mail to all of the managers in the Charlotte office. He told me that he was also going to copy Joe Price, Director, a copy of the e-mail advising him that I had not been contacted by anyone regarding my request for service from August 22, 2019. He told me that Price was the Director over the Charlotte Office and Region.
On October 1, 2019 at 10:44 AM I contacted Customer Service for the eighth time and again they were unable to contact anyone. She said that she could see from her notes that I had made numerous calls and that she was going to send another e-mail to the Charlotte, North Carolina office. As of this writing on October 1st, at 3:34 PM I have not received a return phone call.

Desired Outcome

Repair, replacement or refund.

We are scheduled for an inspection on 10/15/19

Leaf Filter installed new gutters and did not fulfill the agreement. Two days after the incomplete installation we had major overflow problems.
The gutters were not installed properly. We were told any problems with the soffits would be corrected, the gutters would be cleaned and everything would be wonderful! I called and sent video to our salesperson and he acted like he didn't give a flip what happened. He told me to cALL CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ***! THEY COULD HAVE CARED LESS. They told me it would be a month before they could get to it, so I stopped payment on the check! They told me they would have someone call me with a date sooner. They said that they would call by Monday the 26th of Sept. by 5PM. No word from them as of today 9/13/19.

Desired Outcome

We don't want to pay for these gutter filters and don't want to deal with this company ever again!!! Research has shown me that they overcharged us tremendously and took advantage of our age!! Please help us to solve this problem. I would like to have them just take their product back but that will cause even more problems!! They have a Revdex.com logo in their brochure saying the Revdex.com recognizes LeafFilter as the #1 professionally-installed gutter protection. That is false advertising. I do not want to do business with them again!!

I have videos to prove the damage and they came one time and installed spill guards which made the problem worse. We sent 2 letter to the company's only address they had given us and they were returned. After almost a month they told us they had moved to a new location and I guess did not leave a forwarding address. We believe this company is a scam. We have about six different phone numbers that are all cell numbers and when I asked the young man that called to give us the new address what the phone number was to their new location he took about 5 minutes to look it up. I am really scared at age 78 to deal with such a scam company. Should I contact an attorney to get these gutter guards removed because I do not trust them on our property. I am afraid if they come on our property they will do more damage. We started all this with relatively new gutters and just wanted to have to not have my 80 year old husband have to climb ladders anymore by putting on these gutter guards.
I wish I could send you a video from yesterday with the water pouring off the gutters where the leaves and pine needles had collected on their supposedly wonderful gutters which the Revdex.com recommends!!

The company "expert" came to inspect our job and here is what he concluded. He blamed the damage on pre-existing conditions which is totally false and wanted money to fix the
problems. He wanted to take out some of the leaf filters the company installed and add the type of gutter guards we had existing before their work. He said they would come back twice a year to clean out the old type gutter guards. Can you believe that solution?? WE told him to remove the splash guards they installed and he only removed two of the existing five and they are collecting leaves and pine needles as I write this. We will probably have to remove the existing leaf filters they installed by ourselves since they refuse to do that. My husband is 80 years old and cannot climb ladders and as I write this we have had to have a man come and clean out the splash guards. We do not want LEAFGUARD on our property ever again and we will not pay them any money!!!!

installer (Mike) came to home on 9-5-2019 and installed leaf filter on back half of house and was notified by supervisor to stop job and left.
At my request,an individual from leaffilter came to my residence for an estimate on my home and detached garage. This occurred on 8-20-2019, I had stated to the individual that I would not be at home. The individual,Dan h***,commercial account manager:cell ***,email:***,left literature(folder),with card and a description of work that would be done by leaffilter. There was no footage mentioned or price of job. He later called me I believe the next day and quoted a price of 1800.00,after negotiation with H, we agreed on 1500.00,front of detached garage included,H*** advised the job would be done before the end of following week.No work was done the following week I called him the following tuesday as labor day was on monday and he appologized that there was an issue at the office but would have an installer at my residence tuesday the 5th of september between 8 and 10am.Installer showed up on said date at approximately 9:00 a.m..He installed leaffilter on rear of home and abruptly stopped around 1130 a.m.The installer Mike (no last name) knocked on my door to tell me that he had to stop work due to a contract issue,I advised Mike that I did'nt have a contract and that I had not met in person with anyone with leaffilters, just conversations wit h Dan H by phone, the installer was packing his ladder and supplies onto vehicle when h*** called me and advised he had underestimated the price on my house and gave me an unrealistic price to continue the job .I told h*** that that was not what we agreed on and that I would like to talk to his superviser. He stated that he would have him contact me.Through my own investigation, I found his supervisor's name is "Graham".I have not heard from anyone from leaffilters since the installer left. The job number brought by installer is *** .There was no check provided to installer for the 1500.00.as directed by h*** on completion of the job

Desired Outcome

Either return and finish remaining portion of house and front of detached garage as was agreed upon of remove portion of leaf filter that was installed.Or leave that which was installed and don't even think about sending me a bill on what was installed.I'll find a reputable business to finish job with their product.

LeafFilter improperly installed their gutter guard system, resulting in water back up and potential damage to my residence's roof structure
In 2015, I contracted with LeafFilter to install approximately 17 of their gutter guard panels across the front of my residence for about $1,500. In May 0f 2019, I first became aware of a serious structural problem that was caused by the improper fit-up in the original installation of the LeafFilter system. I notified Leaf Filter of the issue.
LeafFilter promptly made a site visit, looked at how I had attempted to adjust one of the panels, then modified several panels similarly to see if that would resolve the problem. They promised to return, if necessary, and try another approach. After the next rain event, I reported that the problem had not been resolved. Their attitude then changed abruptly: they said that the original installation warranty period had passed and that because I had modified one of the 17 panels, the product warranty had been voided, and that any further analysis or remediation by them would be at my expense. Neither of those circumstances alters the fact that the original LeafFilter installation was faulty and is solely responsible for the problem that I am experiencing.
LeafFilter has been difficult to communicate with on this issue. Even though their installation violated their own recommended practices, they now attempt to "wash their hands" of any responsibility to determine and provide a solution. LeafFilter promotes themselves as professional and qualified installers, yet provided a faulty installation and refuses to correct the installation problems.

I want LeafFilter to resolve the original installation issue, and failing that, to have my original purchase price refunded and the LeafFilter panels removed.

Desired Outcome

I want LeafFilter to resolve the original installation issue, and failing that, to have my original purchase price refunded and the LeafFilter panels removed.

although it was unannounced, no appointment or any kind of phone call to let us know that they were going to come that day at that time!!! They only left us a business card on the door with writing on it saying that they came by & check the front gutters and that they took pictures. That was it!!!
That really made us mad because we were not here but wanted to; we had no idea that they were planning on coming.

All we are asking them to do is to come get their product off our gutters since we aren't going to pay them!!!
We are hiring another company to replace all the gutters around our whole house and put leaf guards on them for under half the price that Leaf Guard conned us for!! (The Leaf Guard Company in my complaint).
The Leaf Guard Company were totally rude guys, when they did complete the job and ripped my elderly mother of! They had charged her thousands more for just putting up gutter guards on our worn out 25 year old gutters with holes all in the seams.
To make things worse, after they completed their crappy over expensive job; it still leaked where they were suppose to patch the seams. We tried calling them for weeks but they would never return our phone calls or emails!! All they did was show up unannounced after I contacted the Revdex.com!!!!

I want other homeowners and families with elderly parents to be aware of this fraudulent company!! They are over charging the ones that trust what they are being promised and told by the corporate speakers of this company!!

In early June 2019, David (salesperson) sold me this system for my gutters. I emphasize SALESperson. I agreed to have it installed and that afternoon it was installed. Amazing how they quickly had someone in the area. I say AMAZED because it is now the end of August and they have yet to show back up to correct a bad install that still leaks profusely and water runs over just like it did before the install. Everything that David promised would be corrected is still not fixed and I am still waiting after three missed appointments and no follow ups from David or this company's customer service. No value in this product.

I have had the lack of response escalated to their Regional Service Director and only received a brief note from him saying someone will be in touch. I will be following this up with a complaint.

Brian, Looks like we were out to service on 9/5/19 and reached resolution. If this is not accurate please call our Service Department at 1-

Product installed on home and caused issues that were not present until after installation
Leaf filter gutter protection installed on our home 3/23/19. Paid 3657.00 with interest free financing. When we had first heavy rain storm gutters were overflowing at 2 corners. We videoed and sent to company. Someone came to our home without us being notified and placed 2 splash guards in attempt to correct. Did not correct and we have called company repeatedly and been told we will be called. No one called and had no voice messages. Sent additional videos of continued overflow issue. For the amount we are paying We asked for either proper repair or refund what we have paid and remove product from our home. We spoke with Cory J and Valiha at leaf filter. ***.

Desired Outcome

Proper repair or refund of what had been paid and cancellation of contract. All we asked for was a repair and as this has been ongoing since April of 2019 with no resolution we are regretting having this system installed and doubt they know how to repair the issue.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As we have not been contacted I would like to know how they are working with us for a resolution. We have given them 2 cell numbers and a land line number and have repeatedly said to call and if we cannot answer to leave a message and we would return call.
