Thank goodness for these reviews. I received the same poor salesmanship, promises, and discounts. I'm cancelling installation immediately. The salesman was unprofessional, pushy, and rude. I don't believe he adequately measured my house and drew a picture that didn't look like it. He made promises that these reviewers say are not true such as never needing cleaning, etc.

The people performing the work lied about completing the work and took the check. Office and management have only given me the runaround.
On Feb. 20th, 2019 we agreed on $1500 to replace all gutters, downspouts, and 90's. It was scheduled for a Friday but was rained out. The installer called me and wanted to know if he could do it on Sunday. one of the workers came to the door exclaiming they were finished, asking for my signature and check. I noticed nothing below the gutters had been replaced. I pointed it out to all of them and made the aware of what was agreed on the contract. feeling I had made myself clear they went back to work, but only replaced one downspout and one 90. I have a total of five downspouts with fifteen 90's. Part of the gutter is sloped the wrong way and leaks. I kept calling and complaining every month and was put on a schedule for August 14, 2019 to have the remaining work completed. I took the day off from work to be here only to be stood up with no call or explanation. I am an hourly employee so when I do not work, I do not get paid. I feel like I have been robbed and taken advantage of.

I would like a refund so I can pay someone to the job the correct way.

They had originally scheduled to come on Friday the 23rd, but called me at lunchtime on Tuesday to fix my problems. He finished installing the downspouts and 90's that were never replaced by the first crew. He also sloped the gutter in the proper direction and tried to seal the leak left by the first crew. Sadly the gutter still leaks, but fortunately someone from corporate has assured me it will be fixed... We shall see.

In August of last year we signed a contract with LeafFilter to install gutter protection. The gutter protection is like a mesh that goes over the gutters to keep debris and leaves out of the gutters. The first crew that came destroyed our gutters. They were dismissed. A man then came to start the job over again. He installed new gutters along with the meshes, but we still have a huge waterfall that goes over the gutters during heavy downpours that we have repeatedly called about and scheduled appointments for the repair. They never come. Over and over again we have called. We have called the corporate offices too. According to the company they say the repair has been done. The workers have said that they have come. These are outright lies because we have stayed for these scheduled repairs and the workers never show. Over and over again this has happened. We paid six thousand dollars for this installation. It has a life time warranty. We call. They don't call back.

It took a over year to get it right. I really liked the last installer. He was conscientious.

Product does not work as described and company is not backing their warranty. Also no one will return calls or show up when appointments are made.
We spent $3,505 June 16, 2018 to have the leaf filters installed with our existing gutters. After 3 crews coming to the house and telling us that they were not equipped for the job, the leaf filters were installed (along with dams in some places)July 23, 2018. Shortly after the system was installed, we started having leaves building up on the screens and behind the dams. When it rained, the water spilled over the dams and ran down our windows and the sides of our house. At that point, we began calling both the Charlotte office and also the headquarters in ***.

After many calls with no response, someone finally showed up (no phone call ahead to let us know that he was coming). Luckily we were home. He said that he understood our problem and that the screens that were originally installed on our gutters had too small of a mesh and that the solution to the problem would be to replace all of the screens and remove the gutters. This was on a Friday. He said that a shipment of the new screens was coming in on Monday and that he would be back on Tuesday to do the work by himself. He never showed up.

Since then, I have been calling both the *** and Cornelius, NC offices. The people answering the phone look into the computer, tell me that they see a lot of notes in there from my calls and that all that they can do is leave messages for Ryan or Mike to return my calls. They never do.

Twice I was told that someone would come out to take a look at my house and try to resolve this situation. Those dates were June 10 and July 25. No one showed up or called either time...and we stayed home the entire day waiting on them to show up.

Desired Outcome

This company has non existent customer service and is not backing up their written warranty. I have been more than generous in giving them time to try to fix this but they have refused. At this point, the only settlement that I will now accept is a refund in full of the $3,505 that I paid them by check. They can come and take the defective leaf filter system off of my house if they want but must not damage my existing gutters or roof in the process.

A representative from Leaf Filter (new employee) called me at 3:46pm on August 1st. I explained to him that I have had trouble getting any customer service whatsoever for the past year and that the company promised multiple times to change out the screens to ones with larger mesh and would remove the dams that are causing water to back up and water to run down the side of my house whenever it rains. He asked me what he could do to resolve my problem. I told him at this point, I just wanted a refund of the $3,505 that I paid by check for the gutter protection as I was not confident that I would ever get decent customer service from them. He told me that he did not think that the company had ever refunded anyone ever but would check into that and get back with me. I never heard back from him.

The system does not work. I have contacted their Customer service at least 20 times since installation in 2017.
First off the product does not work as advertised. I soon found myself on a ladder cleaning the Leaf Filter system after it was installed.
They have also been out four times to clean. How they stay in business is beyond me.

I'm afraid that rain over wash will damage my home and yard.

It is true that Leaf Filter has been to my home but the issue is far from over.
I have been contacted by their corporate office and a "possible" resolution might be found but it has not been installed. Furthermore not all my gutters have been inspected or even cleaned. (The upper front)

I was asked to sign off on their work order but refused due to the above.

Leaf Filter has been contacted several times for my unsatisfactory work. A portion of my house did not get the filter because it did not fit. I asked for a refund and the guy told me he would "see if he could get me some money back". They have sent three people to my house to see what my concerns are with the product and installation. All have taken pictures of my concerns. A week later and I have heard nothing from them.

The system does not work. product was installed
knowing that we had lots of pine trees. I was told this would work and they would run off the screen. It only accumulates on the screen and around the gutters causing damage to the roof and surrounding foundation as the water runs off in a heavy stream. It is even getting under the screen. I was told this was a lifetime guarantee and that if I had any problems they would fix them. I called the service department and scheduled an appt. the tech came on July 3rd at 8 am. He admitted there were definitely a lot of pine needles, went on the roof, took pictures and said someone would be in touch. Weeks later No one has called me back. I left several messages. I even tried emailing and calling Sara, our sales person, and no response. I called the service department on July 15 and no response. Finally I called again on July 16 and Mike, the manager was supposed to call me back- nothing.

Desired Outcome

I want them to fix the problem - either replace the system, change the pitch or something else OR if this system will not work as designed in my particular situation because of the pine trees, then I want a refund. And I want someone to clean the gutters While they decide to prevent more damage without charging me an additional fee.

Jenny reached out to me and sent a service rep to fix some items and will also be setting me up with quarterly cleanings at no additional charge to ensure the system works as expected.

The leaf filter system is not performing as described or promised. Water does not run into gutter. I have called numerous times without response.
On March 6th 2019 I had the Leaf Filter system installed on my home. The system promised to collect the water from my roof while preventing clogs. This is not the case. When it rains the water over runs the system and does not flow into the gutter. Water runs between the home and the gutter or over flows causing erosion in and around my foundation. I called customer service in April and left a message. I did not receive a return call. I called again on May 27th and June 4th. Again no response. I finally got a person on the phone on June 8th and set a service call for June 10th. No one showed. I called again on June 17th and was told the work had been completed. I informed them no one had been out and I was still having issues. I was told someone from the local office would contact me within a week. Again no one called. I called back on June 25th and set another appointment for July 5th. Again no one showed. I called and finally got a supervisor on the phone and set a third date of July 15th for service. Once again no one showed. The product does not perform as promised. I have videos showing the issues if needed. I am seeking removal of the system and a complete refund.

I was called and told that an area supervisor would need to come out and inspect my property prior to any resolution. I have not heard from him and nothing has been resolved. The system does not work on my home and I still wish for it to be removed and receive a full refund. Thank you.

We are scheduled for a service appointment today 7/25/19.

Lack of service on their product that was purchased less than 1 year ago. We are supposed to have a lifetime warranty.
Since April 2019 we have tried to contact Leaf Filter in order to have a representative come to our house and unclog the filters that were installed on our house. At this point the gutters overflow with water when it rains. We were told in May that someone had visited our house on a day that my wife was home. No one came to our house during that time. We were then told that someone would be out the next week. No one showed up. We were then told that someone would be there in two weeks because they were busy. To date no one has showed up.

My wife spoke to a manager in May who was very rude to her before finally telling her that he would send someone to our house to correct the issue.

I have called multiple times to get the issue corrected and was told many times that the district manager would be contacting me. I have not heard a thing from them yet.

Desired Outcome

We originally spent almost $2,800 to have the leaf filters installed and get the lifetime warranty. At that time we were told that all servicing of the product would be covered under the warranty. At this point I would prefer a full refund of our original purchase price. There is no reason for us to remain part of a contract that is clearly not being held up by the company. The warranty clearly states clog free, worry free and that they would continue to service their product to ensure they function as advertised. They have not functioned properly for the past 3-4 months a no one at Leaf Filter has shown up to correct the issues even though they have stated multiple times that they would.

We are reviewing the case at corporate and will be reaching out to the customer to reach resolution.

I contacted LeafFilter for an estimate for gutters with gutter guards. The estimator they sent was more like a con man than an estimator. He ran me through a long spiel about how great LeafFilter was compared to other gutter products. No matter what I did he kept up with it till he ran through his entire speil. Then he gave me a quote of 8800 dollars and before I could say anything he started with the discounts and reduced it to 5500. I told him I would contact him if I decided to purchase his product after I recieved competitive estimates from other companies. He then said that he didn't work with competitive estimates and immediately dropped the price to approx. 4000. I told him I still wanted to get other estimates before I decided. He then dropped it to 3500. I told him I still wanted to get other estimates before I made a decision. He then said "It's all about the money, this is bull$&*% and dropped the price to 3100. The entire thing sounded like a con to me and I don't think I will be dealing with this company again.

Draniage from roof into gutters
I have repeatedly requested service from them through their website and social media many times have got no response to fix drainage from my roof into my gutters. Rain just runs straight off roof onto the ground. Diverters in place not working and need new ones installed. The Leaf Filter isn't doing the job I paid thousands of dollars for. I have to keep using my ladder to get debris laying on top on their leaf filter in my gutters. Their system keeps getting clogged.

Either they fix issues that is causing the problem or take their system off my gutters and refund all of my money.

I took a half day off to meet and fix issues. Until I filed a complaint, they never contacted me for service for weeks. Their service dept never called me ever. After emails to *** (he never contacted me) and finally got texts from *** for the 06/26/19 appt. between 1300-1700. Got a call yesterday and couldn't understand what they were saying other than they were with Leaf Filter. I called and texted them back and NO RESPONSE. There # was *** out of ***. This is what I am talking about, NO SERVICE and NO RESPONSE. That is why we want our money back. Almost 2 months and no service for warranty work.

Purchased 12/2018 and installed having issues with clogged gutters lifetime warranty. Can not get customer service to call back , finally after weeks got human had To wait till today june 20 2019. 1-5 for repair. No call no show rude on the phone when wife called. She took day off waiting for the repairs and no show.

the rain water does not get to the gutter system, but instead runs behind the gutter, damaging the facia and causing water to pool around the foundation. I was told when they sent a crew out that the system should have not be installed without a drip edge. have been promise numerous times that a crew was being dispatched to install the drip edge. no shows on the designated time and do follow up phone call. it appears that the only interest is in installing the system and no service for the money back warranty. I have been shoved around with baseless promises of service, but nothing happens. I think these people promise senior citizens that they will not need to get on the roof again to get the sale. I have balance issues and I have been on the roof many times trying to get the rain water into the gutter system to protect the house and foundation. you get placed into administrative maze hoping that you will give up. the frustration, and hopelessness is no way to enjoy the retirement years. please help

Approx 10days after my gutter guards were installed it rained. The front interior of my house was flooded from the roof leakage.
I received my gutter guards on 5/23 and approx 10days after they were installed it rained. The front interior of my house was flooded from the roof leakage. I have lived in my home for several years. The damage to my walls and ceiling is extensive. Upon inspection of my rood and gutters it was discovered that in applying this product my roof and gutters were manipulated/bent leaving gaps. As a result water is entering my home through these gaps when it rains. (I have pictures of workmanship and ceiling and wall damage). I payed with a check on 5/23/2019. My job/order number is CHA-16163. I have tried calling customer service several times and no one has returned my calls. The damage is getting worse each time it rains.

Leaf Filter service tech Josh W came to my house and inspected the damage to my roof and interior water damage (6/13/19). He agreed that the damage was caused by Leaf Filter installers. He took numerous pictures and stated he would email them to his boss. I received a phone from Levi L on 6/17/19, he stated the damage was due to "short shingles". Levi stated Kai would be there today to remove gutter protection so I (the homeowner) could have repairs completed at my cost. This was not acceptable to me since my short shingles did not cause the damage. I spoke with Lesley B from corp office and she stated she had not seen the photos yet and would get back to me. As of 6/21/19 I have NOT heard back from anyone at Leaf Filter.

I am in the process of working g with Leaf Filter to resolve the problem

3 Techs have come out to repair my filters. Each one states that the first one did not repair them properly.
The gutters were installed on 4/2/2019. The second Tech came 3 to 4 weeks ago. The 3rd Tech came out again 0n 5/28/2019. While on the rook with him the tech. I asked him why trash was inside the gutters when we picked up screen. He stated brackets were left out on both sides of the house, plus they had lowered the gutters and they did not drain properly. He stated this was a mess and they were not installed properly. When I called the Manager to ask if Hosea could repair it. He said he would repair it Monday. He then called Hosea and told Hosea that he should have just told me a lie about the filters. He told him that he could not do that because he was a Christian and that he probably need to get someone else if that's what you want me to do, lying to customers. Brad is the manager

They install the Gutter Guards on my house May3rd and did not tell me that my facialboards where rotten away and had nothing to hook the screws to and the gutter still leak. I had call them back after many of no shows and the next guy didn't look under the guards to see what was happing. I had to call them many times to finely get someone that was a real Technician to tell about the facialboards and I have been trying to get someone to call me back and no return calls. I did get with*** to stop payments until the matter is resolved.I have try to talk to someone about this with no response from them.Their Guarantee is no better then their service. The guards should of never been installed with facialboards being rotten away and not telling me of the condition.

THEY NEVER RESPONED TO MY CALLS UNTIL YESTERDAY ON 6/5 UNTIL I SAID I WAS GOING TO TAKE IT TO COURT THAT IS WHEN Ryan SAID THEY WOULD REPLACE THE FACIAL BOARDS AND PUT THE GUTTERS BACK UP WITH NO MORE OF COST FOR THE FACIALBOARDS JUST PAY THE ORIGINAL COST of my contract. They never try to call me or email at anytime I had to use a different phone to reach them now I am waiting for a response of what time they are going fix it.

This so wrong they did not tell me that the facialboards where rotter away and installed the gutter filter over it without telling me about the boards being rotted.I would of never let them put the guards on until I had it fix. They at fault for not telling me before installing the guards. I live on a fixed income and never would of had the guards installed before getting the facialboards fixed if they told me first.

We are working with the customer to alleviate her previously reported roof issues.

I was sold on the gutters by the reassurance from the salesman that this company was the best in the business and I would never have to worry about my gutter system again, nor go up on a ladder to clean out or fix. I was also sold that this business was #1 in customer service and any issues that might come up would be addressed immediately and a tech would fix the problems.

The first rain I had, my gutters leaked in four different places and were worse than what I had in there originally. I called the service department and told them my issues, took pictures and sent them to them and made arrangements to meet a tech at my house on certain date and time. I had to take off from work to make this happen. NO ONE SHOWED UP!

I called a second time and requested to have someone service these issues, setting up a new date and time to meet tech. Again, I took off work to make this happen. NO ONE SHOWED UP!

When I called customer service, she tried to raise the tech manager but since he would not answer, she had to leave him an email. He called me back and stated that the next appt I could make with them was June 7th. I told him I had an appt for today and he stated all his techs were out of town and no one could respond. I told him I had taken off of work twice to try to meet with someone at my house and he kept reiterating that I would have to set up a new appt.

Called the customer service line back and asked to speak with a manager. No one was there to assist and they have left a v/m with someone to call me back.....MAYBE. I don't have any reassurance that anyone will get back to me.

I did have a tech come out and look at the issues. Attempted to fix the problems but I won't know if they have been fixed correctly or not until it rains again and I see if the leaks were fixed. Nothing was addressed about the two times I had to take off from work to meet a tech that never showed up.

Sales person was aggressive and deceptive in his sales pitch.
Salesperson, Brett W responded to the home. Stated he needed to walk around and get measurements. During the measurement process he continuously smiled and complimented my wife on her smile, etc. A presentation with a binder was then done, which took over 30 minutes. When asked about price, he first told us the cost was $9842. When we told him that was ridiculous, he said he could lower it with a retired law enforcement discount and if we agreed to wait several days or weeks for install, he could lower it even more. His new price was now $7492. When we again said that was too high, he said he would call his supervisor and he'd leave us to talk privately. When he returned the new price was $5542. We told him we'd like to think about it and we were told the price was only good for that moment. That once he turned in his paperwork the price was no longer valid. The webpage says quotes are good for one year. We had other contractors in the house (we had closed that morning) and were trying to move on. At this point he'd been there for over an hour. We told him we would get back to him and he continued to insist and would not budge. We finally signed the contract. As soon as we signed he said someone would be there first thing the next morning, not allowing us the opportunity to cancel the contract. Contract also states we must keep the price confidential. Contract does not show any linear foot measurements. A worker showed up on Friday, alone, and proceeded to start the work. He had no assistance and I told him not to climb on the roof, which is close to 30' high in some areas. I went out for a bit and he called me to tell me he was leaving for the day and the work was not complete and that he had climbed onto the roof without assistance or safety gear against my direct specifications. He said someone would be back on Monday. It's Tuesday and no one has called or come back to finish the work. The salesman also said all gutters would be resealed with silicone and realigned. The worker said he didn't do that. The salesperson said all downspouts would be cleaned out. The worker said he doesn't disconnect and clean the downspouts; he drops a screw down and if it doesn't sound like it stopped midway, then he assumes the downspout is clean. I also asked how I would know if the work was completed, the salesperson told me I had one year to go up there and make sure all the gutters were actually covered. When I told him that was impossible he said I could ask the installer to email me pictures. The initial installer was gone and no one has shown up to finish.

Desired Outcome

I feel I was highly pressured into signing a contract that I was not prepared for. The cost is outrageous and will be a financial burden. They have installed a partial system although I have no way of climbing up onto the roof (it's very high) to see what has actually been done. Other than hiring a private inspector to come out with a cherry picker or extension ladder I have no way of seeing the work or any possible damage to the roof from the installer. I would like a full refund since I was given less than 24 hours from contract signing to installation. We never had the opportunity to call and cancel. The company is deceptive. Their sales practices target the older generation and take advantage knowing that you are running around with other people in the house and that the only way he was leaving was by me signing.

On May 8th I spoke with Lesley from the Corporate Office. She advised she was a Customer Relations Manager. I explained my lack of satisfaction with the sales representative and the installation. She agreed that neither were completed to the standards of the company. I further advised that the company or its representatives were not allowed on the property without us present. She further advised that the new installer coming out would start the project as if it was new and caulk the gutters and check the downspouts, neither of which was done at the initial installation. I also advised that had I had the opportunity to cancel the contract I would have and that I desired some sort of monetary credit on the purchase price. She advised she would not consider a credit until the installation was complete and I asked how would I guarantee a credit if the installation was complete? She advised she could not answer that and that we would discuss it further after installation was complete. I advised I would contest the charges on my credit card should a credit not be offered for their poor sales and installation practices. Ms. Lesley was very polite and said she understood. She is set to call me back on May 17 to schedule a date for an installer to return. As of today's date, this case is not resolved to my satisfaction and will not be resolved until installation is properly done and a monetary credit is issued.

What a scam! I got this installed 2.5 yrs ago. I was told I'd never have to worry about getting the gutters cleaned again. That the leaf filter never clogs! All a lie. Basically it's all clogged and they want $95 to come out and clean it. The leaf filter needs replacing already but they want thousands more to do so. So noe I'm going to have to pay someone to rip this out and go back to cleaning the gutters yearly. Don't waste your money

Leafflilter does not work on my house.
I had Leaffilter installed on all gutters of my house over a year ago. I began taking videos during rain storms soon after (3 months). Complained to company. They came to clean off gutter guards. Took more videos of next storm. Complained. They came out and cleaned gutter guards again. NEXT storm that I took videos, they came out to replace the mesh in the gutter guards. Next storm, took videos and told them I want my money back and remove gutter guards because I had to buy a ladder to climb and remove pine needles from gutter guards. I have NO trees in front of my home. this should not be happening at all there. I'm 61 years old and should not be on a ladder. I have rivers of water flowing at important points of the roof.

Leaffilter has taken off the gutter guards. Certain papers had to be signed. I was told that the manufacturer says there is nothing wrong with their product however the pitch of our roof is our fault that their product won't work. Buyer beware. The warranty is only for their product and not if the actual gutter guards work on your house.
