Undrivable $72k truck
So after giving them 5stars after my purchase weve had problems. I was harassed to get truck back to dealer for recalls that if they weren't performed the dealer wouldn't be paid for the truck via their rebates. During covid that wasn't happening on both ends. Finally when things settled they were great. Picked it up from my driveway left me a loaner truck did the recalls and brought it back. They got what they wanted.
So here is where it goes wrong. They got what they needed and ive had a few complaints on the brand new truck. Noises. Shaking etc. Not normal stuff. I am a dealer tech by trade and now own my own shop. I deive these trucks every single day so that being said I waa told that the noises were normal. The noise is absolutely crazy when you start the truck. Told me it was a "high torque" starter which it is however isn't supposed to make noise. I cant do 65-75 on the highway it feels like truck is falling apart. Mind tou this is going on from mile number 1. Ive contacted them and they told me
now for 3 weeks they were going to do the swap again for me. Wach time making an appointment to pick up and no one ever shows up. Thats days out of work now waiting. When I call its always something and depending who you speak to a different story. So the after care is terrible. They really just want a quick sale and be done with you. Beware of that. I stil maintain that my buying experience was great. Service as usual is the problem. Hey but what do you expect from nj dealers. Im going to call gm and ask them for help and see how that goes. Im stuck woth a $72,000 truck that makes noise and cant drive on the highway. Totally ridiculous. I think I will start the lemon law process and let the 6 yes 6 family and friends know who I sent there to lease and purchase whats going on. Id say they wont go back. 4 are coming off lease as of next month. Thank you.

Vehicle was inspected and determined to have a fualty fuel tank , Lester Glenn will be replacing the tank as a one time good will gesture at no charge to the customer

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I spoke to both Erica and John at Lester Glenn this morning (August 3) Erica is quite useless and in denial She reads the script from [redacted] Corporate [redacted] and she are well aware that the car is dangerous and unsafe to drive When that fact was brought to her attention, she deflecting when I asked her if she would let her daughter drive such an unsafe vehicle John from Lester Glenn at least admitted he would not It's the old runaround game [redacted] points to the dealer, the dealer blames corporate The idea that they can't replicate the issue on the spot, while true is, nevertheless not a solution The code is P070c There are dozens of websites and [redacted] advisors on these websites trying to rectify the issue [redacted] has a program 14Mobasically admitting the issue exists and they issued letters saying they would make the repair The car has multiple transmission issues This is the 6th visit to the dealer Both issues have one thing in common, the TCM (transmission Control Module).Let's exercise some logic here Where did I get the code? Did I make it up? Was it not seen by a repair shop who towed the car to Lester Glenn? Was my daughter terrified that she had no control over the accelerator on the vehicle? Did I not provide John with links to videos and websites outlining thousand of [redacted] owners with the same concern Erica is a Regional Manger who refuses to even admit that there are those above her who can authorize a repairWhat neither tell you is that the only thing preventing a repair is that Lester Glenn has to provide a printed code in order for [redacted] to reimburse them The issue is that the code is pre-programmed to erase itself They have a lame excuse why it isn't in the memory Odd how a computer has no code in memory, Their response was to try to imply the repair shop erased it Makes no sense then why would the repair shop tow it to themThey the repair shop gains nothing They know the car was under an extended transmission warranty So does thousands of others There are websites and technicians from [redacted] who are on record as stating that once the vehicle is shut off the code self erases The Check Engine light was on the morning it was towedNot accepting response Car is dangerous!!!http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/mk3-tsb-recall-problems-archive/5... http://oemdtc.com/8890/customer-satisfaction-program-14m02-certain-2011-through-...

I apologize and by no means is it any scam , We need to verify coverage of the driver in possession of our vehicle that they are fully covered by insurance prior to releasing a rental vehicle to them , If by some chance they don't meet our insurance policy standards then our alternate would be to supply same a rental through enterprise I will have my team contact you to make these arrangements

GM Engineering has been contacted by Lester Glenn and same is waiting for a response back to make attempts to schedule a appointment to evaluate the customers complaints , Case # [redacted]

[redacted] Let me try to explain the best I can but please understand this may get confusing If you pay cash and do your own motor vehicle work for a $car your purchase order would look like this $+ doc fee + $out of state temp tag = $ The problem was, you were not paying cash although that's what you told usPlease understand that a credit union check is not cash, its a loanSince its a loan you can not have the title and do your own MV workThe credit union will not clear the check to us until they receive the title and put a lien on itSince that was the case, your purchase order instead would look like this$+ tax + doc + estimated MV = $The MV fee is an estimate since we are not a [redacted] dealerAny over payment on MV would be sent back to you with the actual receipt from our out of state MV agency showing you the exact chargesI hope that clears up the difference and I sure wish that could have been explained to you in person at the time you were at our store

Lester Glenn has processed a insurance claim under " Mechanics Liability " coverage to make the necessary repairs to satisfy the customers needs with making all repairs engine related repairs as a fault of the engine oil drain plug coming out approx4,miles after the last oil change service , Customer has been advised of same

The above vehicle has returned to LG on 4/3/and is being evaluated for the check engine light concern and same is not accident related at this point that occurred years, [redacted] Service manager has been communicating with drop off contact on the progession of the repairs

Please be advised Lester Glenn service department has identified the concern as being drivability complaint , The Technician contacted GM ( TAC Case # [redacted] and same was considered to be operation of the vehicle , Lester Glenn has been making contact with GM to identify if any update software repairs have been released to help address the customers concern which was identify to be operation of the vehicle , The Vehicle is also out of base warranty and Power-train warranty ( Expired ) Lester Glenn is going to attempt to contact GM again to see if there is any possibility of requesting to have a Field Engineer come to our location to evaluate the vehicles concern , Lester Glenn will also have the GM of the store contact the customer to explain same in detail

Lester Glenn Sales Manager ( Ed [redacted] ) left a message for the above customers on 7/26/advising the customer to return to dealership service dept to road test with service team to verify the complaints as Lester Glenn has not been able to duplicate the customers concern on past visits , As of 7/29/Lester Glenn not herd back from the owner of the vehicle to set up a inspection time of the vehicle with the service department

Service management team will be contacting customer to set up a appointment to re-evaluate concern at hand and provide same with alternate transportation while vehicle is being evaluated , prior visit LG service dept road tested vehicle miles and was unable to duplicate customer concern, Customer will be asked to road test with technician on arrival

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: they are trying to distract from the facts, and the facts are on aug I paid for an oil changeless then miles later my engine diedunpon inspection of the oil they only checked the level as they statedthey claim another dealership would know if the oil was a problum and shes rightthe oil freehold [redacted] gave me was not oil driven less then miles but oil that has been drived for thousands of mileswhich means they didnt do a proper oil change which led to my engine breaking downfurther more corprate said the engine failure was due to lack of matinencethat is also because on the recite I have for the alleged oil change it has my vehicle in the green for matinence, I also have had twice as many oil changed then [redacted] recomendsthe oil change before the one that destroyed my engine was the begining of july and recite is attached as wellif a proper oil change was done my car egnine wouldnt have broken downand they also gave my car a green for matinence so that proves it wasnt a lack of matinence as corprate claimsthis [redacted] dealership should have worked on my car since it was thier shop that did the suposed oil change Regards, [redacted]

Tell us why here...We have driven the vehicle approxmiles to date and have not been able to duplicate the concern hence [redacted] not allowing LG to perform any repairs until the problem is duplicated , I apologize for giving you the answer your not welcome to hear , We will continue to attempt to duplicate the concerns we also have time into the situation and would like to make the nessary repairs to put all minds at ease if your not happy with the anwers being told to you by Lester Glenn I would recommend you contact to [redacted] Motor as you have already
