open. which means where the vehicle was parked that is where the battery got stolen. What the employee meant by saying I can get you a hot battery Meaning a fully charge battery, when batteries are fully charge the are warm. I have said this before no tickets are needed to tow a vehicle in Philadelphia pa.It has been said that Lew Blum Towing is a problem by the Philadelphia police have the police put that in writingIf not it is here say. We do about 15000.00 dollars in credit cards at an average and can prove it.

2/22/16Hello in response to the complaint.no one is happy when something they own is taken away from them without their permission.[redacted] was not happy when our company towed her vehicle and she let us know that. We have no reason to be upset with anyone we tow This is the business we are in....

and we expect those who we tow to be abusive to holler and scream at us and to accuse of doing all sort of mishandling of their vehicle. All vehicles towed pictures are taken and We have pictures of [redacted] vehicle blocking the entrance of a commercial property.Lew Blum

I am rejecting this response because:The way my car is shown in the picture is not the way my car was parked. I believe they moved my car for the picture. Yes I was upset because I believed they had no right in towing my car, the business in question is no longer open.

Hello Revdex.com in response to the complaint  thru our investigation we have found we have done nothing wrong. this vehicle was towed because the person driving this vehicle was not in the [redacted] working .the person making  this complaint was working at the [redacted] but using...

the [redacted] parking lot for his convenience.this was told to Lew Blum Towing by the manager at [redacted].the manager told us the vehicle was parked on their property for a couple of hours.[redacted] manager is the one who gave us permission to tow this vehicle in question.we will not answer the accusation of who threatened who or who wanted to fight and who put their hands on one.this person has made statements thru emails how he is going to the police to the news charge my driver with a felony unless we give him a refund. we will not . thank you Revdex.com for giving us the opportunity to answer this complaint.                                                           Lew Blum

this person has an expired parking permit .also if we are doing something wrong at this apartment complex we would have been notified . no one has called us about this complaint. our tow signs are still posted .if we did tow this vehicle in error management would have notified us . thank you Lew Blum

Legally,  the owner of the lot must be present in order for any vehicle to be tower.  The owner was not present.  Pictures taken off my vehicle means nothing.   Also,  the driver did not go into every store, I've asked [redacted] and [redacted], which both stores said no.  If need be,  we can request survellience video for the date to be released.  This generic letter does not represent any posted policy,  legal or of the company.

There was NOT a sign posted that stated a credit card fee was to be charged!
There should have been something stating all the fees that will be charged.  The only fee that was post was about the $5.62 Philly tax to be charged.

Our final response. every vehicle we tow is stored in our building. When it was found out that this vehicle had no battery the vehicle was pushed outside of the rear garage door and put in a parking space. Like said before where this person parked their vehicle where it was towed from that is where the battery got stolen.Lew Blum

If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: the sub section D of the attached doccument states that a vehicle can not be towed unless the tow company has notified the police department that the vehicle is to be towed recieved confirmation from the police department.  see below:
(d) No vehicle shall be hooked, towed, or handled in any manner
under this subsection [unless the vehicle has been ticketed for a violation at the location
where the vehicle is to be towed, except as provided in § 9-605(11)(d)(i),] until the
towing company has notified the Police Department that the vehicle is to be towed, and
has received confirmation from the Police Department as to the vehicle’s status, except
that in a licensed parking lot, a vehicle may be moved to another location in the parking
lot prior to [ticketing] being towed. [Before issuing such a ticket,] Upon such notice, the
Police Department shall determine whether or not the vehicle has been reported stolen. If
the vehicle has been reported stolen, and except in the case of an immediate threat to
public safety as determined by the Police, or a case where a vehicle is blocking access to
a public or private driveway, no such vehicle shall be towed unless the Police have either
notified, or attempted to notify, the owner of the vehicle of its recovery by calling the
contact number provided to the Police at the time it was reported stolen and, unless the
Police are unable to contact the owner or leave a message for the owner, or the owner
elects to have the Police tow the vehicle, the owner has been given 24 hours from the
time of such notification or attempted notification to recover the vehicle in lieu of the
tow. The towing company shall not tow the vehicle until the Police confirm to it that
contact with the owner has been made, or attempted and concluded, and any further
instructions are conveyed. If the vehicle is towed, the towing company must comply with
all of the requirements of § 9-605(15). Within one hour following the towing of the
vehicle the towing company must, in writing, or in such other manner as the Enforcement
With the Police department being at the location when it was recieved and no communicaation with the police occured prior to towing my vehicle this is still an illegal tow.Regards,[redacted]

property we must take pictures we have to report vehicle to the police department and then we hook the vehicle. The time it take us to do everything 10 to 15 minutes.We can only tow one vehicle at a time and some of the vehicles that are parked are employee's vehicles that is why they did not get towed.Parking is for while you are in store when you leave store you take your vehicle. Let someone else park so they can shop.
