Customer has requested a refund and it has been issuedWe had mailed it to [redacted] ***’s residenceThis type of work is weather contingentThere was a delay in the engraving, due to the space availableThe customer has been informed, in the beginning, that there is no room for dates (attached is a copy of the contract signed by customer, with the note)When the engraver went to do the work, he discovered that there is no more room to even add the name

This stone has been completedWe have sent a picture of the completed stone via email (attached below)We will make every attempt to set this stone once there is a break in the weatherCurrently, the ground is still frozen, making it difficult to dig out the graveThis particular stone is involved due to the design of the [redacted] on the left of the stoneThe design itself is detail oriented, making it very hard to look the way the family wants it The stone is to be set in section 5, in [redacted] cemetery Section is located in front of the cemetery officeIt has become popular due to its location in the cemetery, the only single grave section, and being the desired choice for families, compared to the farther sectionsWith all these factors in play, it is considered busy with funerals and opening of graves

This is the first time we have
encountered this type of problem,
during all of our years in the businessMoreover, we have not even
seen this rule from ANY other cemeteries that we have dealt withWe do not think it is even
legalThe family’s stone is a unique and special stone made out of marble (as seen in the attached picture)This type of material requires a
very skilled engraver to handle itWe are hopeful for ideal weather
conditions to complete the engraving, since engraving is always
contingent on the weatherWe understand that the family would like
to get a refund, however this type of work will be completed

Order
has been completed in December 22, The stone is very involved,
as you can see belowWe apologize we did not set the stone as early
as expectedHowever, we did set it between the to week
completion (for custom designs), as noted on the contract

Per contract, engraving orders take 16-24  weeks to complete.  Consumer placed the order on 8/5/2015 - or approximately 10 weeks into the contract period.

Clerical mistake in response: PROMISED CUSTOMER BY MID-NOVEMBER, NOT MID-SEPTEMBER.

Attached is a copy of the contract customer entered into with our company.  Kindly note that the work order reads:  To [redacted] ADD   1927  (before her name) and 2015 after her name.  There are no other charges or work on the contract, other than cemetery permit...

fee.   No mention is made of work for [redacted] whatsoever.  We are a loss to understand why she thinks there was, or further, her accusations of fraud and [redacted] of the photograph attached which we did not take (it is on [redacted] Cemetery's "Find A Grave" website.   As to the period of 12 weeks, our normal period of completion is 16 to 25 weeks.  I will, however, bring this to our owners' attention and request the dates be added to [redacted].'s name as soon as possible.
