Thank you ***, your recommendation means alot to us

Sean was prompt and engaging and had some great suggestions regarding our outdoor lighting project. I am awaiting the company's bid, but thus far everything has been going well.

Thank you!

We were pleased with the electrical inspection. Part of our continuing maintenance. Our tech was efficient, experienced and friendly. Comments and info were correct and valid, and we know from experience as spouse is retired pro electrical engineer. Only need is a bit more frequent communication from dispatch. We were scheduled a week ago, and waited from noon to 5 pm. A call came near 5 to let us know tech got tied up and delayed. Should have let us know earlier. This is only complaint with Lion as a very LONG window for a tech to come. Five hours is too long to wait for any service, especially for simply an initial inspection. Most service companies have a much shorter time frame for a service person to come to your home. Window for Lion should be much shorter.

Thank you for your review and your suggestions, I will pass them along to help us contiue to improve

I worked with Lion Home Service/ Denali Roofing of Ft. Collins, Colorado. I found their service to be superb. They were communicative and responded to my questions promptly. The new roof is beautiful; Denali took 2 days on my job, was respectful of my time, my property and my pet, and cleaned up after themselves. They worked with my insurance company without problems, and they are patient with the payment process.

Thank you Margaret its our pleasure

I had Lion Home Service install a new furnace and ac for me. Their installer do a wonderful job. They followed up at the begining of spring to make sure the ac was properly chaged do to the fact that the could not charge it correctly on the day of install due to outside temperature. My system has worked great from day one and the high efficiency system lower my utillity cost.

Thank you so much Bessie

I had another company come out and do a furnace checkup-they found that my furnace had a cracked heat exchange- I ended up calling Lion Home service because I had heard through several people how professional and amazing they were. I was not disappointed!! I ended up replacing my furnace, air conditioner and water heater. The salesperson answered all of my questions and the installers were efficient and respectful of my home. I will continue to recommend all of my friends and family to Lion Home Service!

Thank you so much ***. Your recommendation means alot to us.

I called Lion Home Service because my toilet was constantly running and my water bill was very high. They came that day and fixed my problem!! I also found out I was loosing close to 20,000 gallons of water a month!! I am saving so much money! Thank you Lion Home Service! I live alone and worried about having people take advantage of me. Lion put my mind at ease- everyone was so patient and kind!!

Thank you so much! We are here any time you need us.

I have no idea how this company rated an A- on the Revdex.com. This is a farce. Makes me believe that the Revdex.com has no integrity. This company is the worst company that I have dealt ever. They are a fraud. They over charge for a repair. Don't fix the problem. Then try to charge you again for the repair. My next step is to report this company to the Secretary of State as they are a FRAUD!!! I cannot believe they are allowed to operate in this state. They do not know what they are doing. They have UNPROFESSIONAL and UNQUALIFIED EMPLOYEES who have no clue what they are doing. This is a FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!!!!!

Our Service Manager, Corey T has tried to reach the client to see what we can do to resolve this issue. To date, we have not been able to reach Mr.. We will continue to try to reach him and work out a solution to repair his toilet.

Customer Response • Sep 21, 2019

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

My wife and I have never received a phone call, text message, email or letter from Corey (Manager) regarding this issue. They have our phone number on file and I work from home and they have never tried to call us back regarding this issue. Further evidence that they are a fraudulent business.

Regards

Mark L, our Master Plumber left a message for Mr. yesterday. Mr. returned the call and left a message that he would be home today and tomorrow. He did mention he had one appointment on Friday but other than that, he would be home. Mark will call Mr. and hopefully will be able to come by while he's home on Friday to make the repair. He has the part on his truck. There will be no additional cost to repair his toilet.

Customer Response • Oct 18, 2019

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Mark actually stopped by on Thursday and repaired the issue with the toilet. He took time to go over in detail what he had done and why. He made the repair with no additional charge and did an excellent job. I wish Mark had been the first service technician that had come to our home as he knows "CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!"

Regards

Lion Home Service was fast, efficient and honest when fixing our sewer problem, Your technicians are awesome

Lion Home Service Response • May 29, 2019

Thank you!

I am a single older female, and have lived in Ft Collins since 1988. I recently purchased a new water heater from LION Home Services and had a very disappointing experience.

In February I called them to check my water heater. They told me it could blow at any minute and the water would flood my house and it wouldn’t stop if I wasn’t home.

They also told me about their TCC (Total Customer Care) package that comes free for every customer ...forever. LION said it covered all my appliances. I was in my kitchen and pointed to my dishwasher and asked if they covered that, then my refrigerator, and oven...he said “yes” to all of them so I thought this might be a great deal.

To compare their TCC package I called FtC Heating and Air, who had installed my furnace about a year ago. *** offered a $300 per year “Home Care” package and because of that I assumed that LION would be cheaper than *** for the Hot water heater. I agreed to LION putting in a new HWH. It ended up costing $3237.70 which I said I couldn’t afford, so they opened a card for me at *** telling me that it would be paid off in a couple of years. That sounded reasonable. Turns out that if you don’t pay it off completely in that time period the interest goes to 28.99%! (And my credit score is over 800!)

Later when my fridge leaked then froze and I couldn’t close my freezer door, I called LION to repair it. When the repairman came out he said that my refrigerator wasn’t covered in their TCC. What?? He kindly offered to help me anyway since he was already here.

I needed to do a checkup and replace my filter in March on my 1-year old furnace I had gotten from *** and since I had gotten LION’s TCC package I decided to let LION do the checkup and install my 4” air filter. They offered me a “special price” of only $66. I remembered that the filter from *** was going to cost me around $35 so I called and they verified $38 delivered the same day for free.

This is when I became aware of LION’s extremely high prices! So I asked *** how much the exact same Hot Water Heater would cost from them and they said from $1500 to $1700 ... I was floored! I had essentially been swindled out of $1600 and was now in debt. If it had been $1700 I could have paid for it the day it was installed! Now I was upset! I had been charged almost double for the same water heater and installation.

When I registered my complaint with LION their employee Cory asked me to get quotes from other dealers which I did. *** was $1700 and Home Depot was $1900 so I asked for a refund for the difference.

When I didn’t hear back from LION in over a week I posted my complaint on B BB.

In communication with LION they said they said work to resolve it with me. To this date they have done nothing to resolve the issue.

At this point I would and will warn everyone not to do business with LION and if it’s not resolved I will post my complaint on “***r” which includes over 400 homes locally.

We are sorry to hear that Ms.’s experience with Lion Home Service was disappointing to her.

It is rare that our clients experience this type of confusion as to what is being provided to them. Uniquely rare to see the confusion span across every aspect of the transaction. It is our belief that communication or mis-understanding the communication is the primary problem in this case. For our failure to ensure a full understanding we are deeply sorry.

We are detailing below some facts which we hope will bring a better understanding of what Lion Home Service has provided Ms..
1. The vast majority of companies which install water heaters rely upon the
manufacturers of those water heaters for the reliability of the unit. After installing, it is left up to the homeowner to deal with any maintenance. If a part fails, they typically have to hire a plumber who has to get approval from the manufacturer to replace components which may carry a warranty. Although the manufacturer may provide a component under warranty the homeowner has to pay the plumber the labor expense.

This is not the manner in which Lion Home Service installs water heaters. From Lion Home Service, the client has a 100% parts and labor guarantee for the entire time with which we warranty the unit. In addition, we provide maintenance services which help ensure that the unit operates as designed providing more reliable service to the homeowner.

In Ms.’s, case we are providing an 8-year guarantee. This comes with additional services a well which include: 1. A new emergency water shut off which is a $263.00 value, 2. Installation of a pan under the water heater for safety and prevention of future damage to floors and floor coverings with appropriate drain piping which is a $248.00 value, 3. We return to flush the water heater as recommended by the equipment manufacturer. In this case 4 sediment flushes are owed which are typically performed annually, each is $168.00 value (times 4 = $672.00), 4. We change the sacrificial anode rod one time during the 8-year period at no charge, which is a $159.00 value.
These “additional services” at a minimum would reflect $1,342.00 costs. These are all required by code, or by the manufacturer as a means to maintain the unit.
2. In addition, our employee provided Ms. a pressure reducing valve on her main water service at no charge. This is normally charged at $453.00.

3. The disclosures pertaining to financing provided through *** were provided to Ms. and the statements regarding the terms are printed in very large print.

4. The purchase price of the water heater was $2738.70.

We have attached a copy of the *** Invoice for the financing which also has Ms.’s signature. She selected the No Interest if Paid in Full with 18-month option. We did not open a card for her. It clearly states the terms for the No Interest if Paid in Full option.

We were upfront about all of our services and their costs. We stand behind our products and her 8-year warranty on her water heater. We’ve also attached a copy of our invoice showing the Total Care Club cost and Ms.’s signature.

We do offer a less expensive water heater with less guarantee and no future maintenance which would have been the type of product quoted by others. Unfortunately, because other services were given already and free products installed, we feel that it doesn’t make sense to attempt to “change directions” because in the end the charges for what was actually provided would likely be more than what she has already paid.

BUYER BEWARE! ALWAYS COMPARE prices, especially if you’re a single older female like me.
LION Home Services is almost double the price of other businesses with the exact same products! I unfortunately called them first and was told that my aging (but working just fine) Hot Water Heater could blow at any minute and that it would flood my house since it was connected to the city main water system.
I was alarmed and let them put in a new hot water heater. It cost $3400 and they let me finance it through ***. They said I would have it paid off in 2 years. I found out later that if I didn’t pay it off in 2 years it would go to 28.99% interest! I compared their prices later with *** ($1500-$1900) and *** ($1900 with no added charges or surprises.)
Do yourself a favor and save half of the cost!! DON’T use LION unless you have compared their prices and services (their TCC, Total Customer Care, sounds great too but not if you realize that you’ve more than paid for what a service contract anywhere else would cost!)
I spoke with LION and asked for some financial retribution and they said they would work with me but haven’t at all. Oh yes, they ruined an area rug valued at $100 and said they would pay $66 for that, which they also haven’t.

We have straight forward pricing regardless of age or gender. Our pricing is higher than some companies and lower than others. We provide permanent solutions and always guarantee our work. Your water heater was 19 years old, we didnt use scare tactics to replace it. Its better to be proactive than reactive and end up with water damage.
Some people like to know the company they are working with before they show up to the door and that isnt the case with lead selling companies. Their prices are lower but there are other concerns to be taken into consideration.
Im sorry you are not happy with your interest rate, that has to do with your credit, not our company. We even provided you with free work, our technician threw in the pressure regulator at no cost because your water pressure was 105psi and we gave you the 15% off instead of the 5% senior discount that you asked for.

Great service! On time and very efficient & knowledgeable . Completely satisfied. I highly recommend.

Thank you!

If I could leave less than one star I would. In January 2019 Lion Home Services came to my home to clear roots from my sewer line. After calling in a camera and later a supervisor I was told I needed a complete sewer replacement to the tune of nearly $17,000. A water jetting ($1800) could hold this off for a while but the house could be condemned if the sewer line wasn't replaced. It took nearly two weeks to get the camera footage which I showed to ***. They told me my sewer line was fine. Lion HS tried to cheat me and that is a fact.

Lion Home Service Response • Apr 25, 2019

your sewer line isnt fine and we have the original call taped where you booked the service knowing that the problem is root intrusion. When the technician cabled the line, he pulled back roots. Your line is compromised and our company provides permanent solution options, it is your choice on whether you take those options. We are completely confident that your sewer will back up again and it will clearly indicate that it is "not fine".

CHOICE HOME WARRENTY sent Lion out to assess an electrical issue. Tech was very friendly & professional, did a very through analysis of problem, but CHW refused to cover it the recommended repairs. However, I we would definitely use Lion gor all non insured repairs/services in the future.
