The company is correct about Local Splash refunding $just the other day but when I signed up for this service I was told my results would be, my company being on the top of ***That has not happenedThe company claims I am on the top search of *** zip code, well of course I am, because my offices are located in that zip code, so with *** and *** maps along with other maps it shows up as the closest moving company to anyone in that areaI am also listed with the Revdex.com which also advertises my address, and ***, so for them to take "credit" for something they have not done is wrong and just proves what kind of company they areThere are numerous complaints against this company all over the web all of the same thing, they do not produce resultsSo they take $from a customer, don't do their job and go on to the next personAlso, I never said the rep called me stupid, that's the way I felt after she said there was no point on having someone talk to me about how the "coding" works because I won't understand, if you listened to the calls you would of heard thatYou would of also heard in the beginning where I was told it would only take a few months for my business to show up on the top in the *** area search for moving companiesI was never told it would only work for my zip code because in that case I would of never signed up since I know I show up in that area
This company robs people legally and its a shame no one does anything about itAs a business owner I would never think of ripping people off or promising something I can not fulfill
I feel I need to be refunded for the $because again I was told it would take a "couple" of months, a couple is 2-3, I think I have been more than patient

The YouTube video was published and made available for public viewing with the incorrect business nameAfter being contacted by the Director of Compliance at LocalSplash a link was forwarded to him for his review The response made by the business in reference to complaint was written by the Compliance Director himself whom I personally emailed a confirmation from Youtube that reads "Congrats, your video is now on Youtube…your upload is finished processing and is ready to be shared" with the business name incorrectly posted in both the confirmation email and the link provided The video (which I watched several times and was able to share with others) was LIVE on Youtube but I'm sure has been deleted sinceI still, however, have a copy of the email that I forwarded to the Compliance Director Although I personally emailed the Compliance director the link to the live video and yet denies that the video was ever posted is further proof of the poor service and depth of the deceptive practices at this company.Additionally, I was not coached by a competitor but rather informed by a partner of LocalSplash (Google) that their practices are against Google's policies for 3rd party providersThe following is a quote from Google 3rd party partners compliance department: "As mentioned, third parties cannot guarantee top placements on Google's front page so we’ll investigate the issue and take necessary action, wherever applicable, against the company you’ve reported." In the directors own words the "Performance promise" as written in his response is NOT a promise they are allowed to make in accordance with the Google 3rd Party partners program During my phone conversation with the Director of Compliance, his response to this was "Well, we promised, we didn't guarantee; we never use the word guarantee" This practice of playing on words is deceptive and action needs to be taken against this companyI will continue to write negative reviews and file complaints with the necessary authorities and certification associations until I receive a full refund as I was deceived by these illegitimate claims I have requested the recording of the promises made to me by Localsplash during the sales pitch and to date have yet to hear the recordingThe business simply says "no misrepresentation was made" but refuses to provide the recording to solidify that claimI stand by the fact that LocalSplash has violated their agreement with the Google Partners program (and ADMITS IT IN HIS RESPONSE)As such, I should be given a full refundIf not, a copy of this correspondance and the Directors response will be submitted to Google 3rd party partners compliance department

The challenge we ran into with her account is that she provides a VERY niche type of service- Personal training for musicians is not a typical category offered by search engines. The "Personal trainer" category is typically associated with...

fitness. What we did for [redacted] was give her a service credit for the month of March, reduced her subscription from $229 to $199 and restructured her campaign to include "Google Adwords" which allows for more specialized categories that will encompass her strength conditioning for flutists. The Adwords campaign was just initiated on 4/4/14 and [redacted] should be able to see her ads by 4/10/14.

After extensive account review it was found that the referenced claims are due to a missunderstanding. This client has placement on the first page in his...

local area for multiple key words. His listings have been optimized with the keywords that the client verified on 08/06/14 when he called client support. This is a successfull account in terms of placement. The client seems to be under the impression that his business should be showing up state wide and for keywords that Local Splash was not instructed to optimize for. Local Splash provides services that optimize locally and  does not by any means misrepresent its services. We do understand that social conflicts often involve some misunderstanding, however at this time Local Splash has decided not to refund the client to whom services were rendered.

The client signed up for Local Splash’s services on March 19th, 2015, and was billed for the first month on  3/19 and second month on 4/23 totaling $398.The client claims that Local Splash “can guarantee my business to be on the 7th spot or higher of all the top search engines within two...

months.” After reviewing all call recordings between Local Splash and client, the word “guarantee” was never used. We did explain our Local Splash Performance Promise which states: Local Splash promises that it will apply a credit for Client’s next month of basic service if, after the second payment, Client’s business is not on the first page of a major search engine using any of your search phrases in your local area (e.g. [redacted] in [redacted]a). It is the Client’s responsibility to call us before each eligible month’s billing date to receive said credit.The Local Splash Performance Promise can be found in our Terms and Conditions page on the Local Splash website at [redacted]. Our representative applied credit to month of September. We explained to the client the necessity of calling before the billing date. Once again,the client had agreed to these terms when she signed the Terms and Conditions.The client states “when I asked for someone to explain to me what was being done and why it wasn't working the rep told me unless I understood all the coding there was no point on having someone talk to me. Thanks for calling me stupid, I didn't ask for someone to tell me the codes I was asking for someone to explain why it wasn't working.” After reviewing this phone conversation, we would like to apologize for our representative’s response. Although our representative did not call the client “stupid,” there seemed to be a misunderstanding between what the client was asking and our representative’s response.The client cancelled Local Splash’s services on September 8, 2015 even though Local Splash did offer the client another month of free service to give the client’s listing more time to reach the first page of search results. The client also requested a refund of the August payment. Local Splash did refund this payment. Local Splash cannot refund the first two payments this client made because Local Splash did do the agreed upon work during that time.Please note that client is currently ranking on the first page of [redacted] for search phrase “movers [redacted]”. Local Splash would like to
specifically address each of the points made by the client in the client’s
latest response to make it clear that all of the work that we did was approved
by the client and that it was done in a timely manner. We have spent hours
listening to each of the 20+ phone conversations between ourselves and the
client. Some specifics of those conversations will be cited while addressing the
client’s issues. Also, we will cite our Terms and Conditions ([redacted])
while addressing the client’s issues.
“1. My ranking on the [redacted] pages is still the same as it
was in the month of January 2015 when this dispute began. I am first on the
[redacted] listing when you search for the key words "wedding videographer
[redacted]". I have explained earlier that these keywords were decided by
local splash, not me. And I had also explained earlier that as a wedding
photographer/videographer in New York, I would not have any benefit of being listed
first with such key words.”
Local Splash does our best to improve
the rankings for our clients. There is no guarantee of increased ranking. We do
have a Performance Promise ([redacted]
section 5.1) which states:
“Local Splash promises that it will apply a credit for
Client’s next month of basic service if, after the second payment, Client’s
business is not on the first page of a major search engine using any of your
search phrases in your local area (e.g. Attorney in Santa Rosa). It is the
Client’s responsibility to call us before each eligible month’s billing date to
receive said credit.”
The purpose of the Performance
Promise is to protect our clients from having to pay for our service if they
are not seeing results. This client utilized the Performance Promise three
times while he was an active client (11/3/2014, 1/3/2014, 2/3/2014). The client
received a total of $597 worth of credit while utilizing our Performance
Promise.
The client states that Local
Splash decided on his keyword “wedding videographer [redacted].” The client
clearly states on multiple calls that he wanted the keyword “wedding
videography.” During the Client Interview calls that took place between
8/4/2014 and 8/6/2014, the client agreed to all of the keywords that we used in
his campaign. The geographic modifier (“[redacted]”) included in the search query
is not part of a keyword. Because Local Splash creates local search engine
optimization campaigns for our clients, the client can only expect to see
increased exposure in their local area. [redacted] and the other search engines
determine “local area” based on a number of factors like, but not limited to:
How much competition the client has, how well the client’s competition is
search engine optimized, population density, etc. Referring back to our
Performance Promise, you can see that we clearly state, in writing, that the
client should only expect to see increased exposure in their local area.
2. If Local splash says my position/listing on [redacted]
pages was any different from what it is now, they should be able to show proof.
In the same way that I am asked to produce proof for my claims. I am repeating,
Local Splash has to show proof that they have delivered what I have paid
for. 
Local Splash can only be expected to provide
proof of the work we completed, not of increased rankings for reasons mentioned
above (we do not guarantee increased rankings). During the time this client was

3. My business is not correctly
located on [redacted]. This alone makes it clear that they do not know how to do
their job.
 
During the Client Interview, our
employee noticed that the client’s business address was located in an
apartment. It is for our client’s safety that we do not publish the address to
our client’s residence unless the client requests that we do. This was the
conversation that took place:
 
LS Employee: “And since that looks
like your apartment address, I’m going to go ahead and hide your street address
– that way it only displays your city and your state.”
Client “Okay. Wonderful.”
 
4. Local splash delivered late. The
dispute began once local splash was able to show results. Besides the fact that
the result was unacceptable, they did so only after I was billed $1000. I was
promised results after one month. I have explained earlier that I would have
cancelled with local splash after I saw what they delivered, and I would have
wasted $200 at the most. But Local splash kept making excuses for delays and
also begged for more time.
 
Local Splash delivered our services
in a timely manner as shown in the timeline of events above. This client
entered an agreement that allowed him to cancel our services at any time after
signing up with us. It was the client’s decision to not do so until March 2015.

The client signed up for Local Splash’s services on March 19th,...

2015, and was billed for the first month on  3/19 and second month on 4/23 totaling $398.
The client claims that Local Splash “can guarantee my business to be on the 7th spot or higher of all the top search engines within two months.” After reviewing all call recordings between Local Splash and client, the word “guarantee” was never used. We did explain our Local Splash Performance Promise which states: Local Splash promises that it will apply a credit for Client’s next month of basic service if, after the second payment, Client’s business is not on the first page of a major search engine using any of your search phrases in your local area (e.g. [redacted] in [redacted]a). It is the Client’s responsibility to call us before each eligible month’s billing date to receive said credit.
The Local Splash Performance Promise can be found in our Terms and Conditions page on the Local Splash website at [redacted]. These are the same Terms and Conditions the client agreed to and electronically signed on 03/26/2015 from IP address [redacted].  
The client states: “I was charged another $199 in August and shouldn't have been.” On September 1, 2015, the client called requesting service credit for the month of August, which had been already been billed. Our representative applied credit to month of September. We explained to the client the necessity of calling before the billing date. Once again,the client had agreed to these terms when she signed the Terms and Conditions.
The client states “when I asked for someone to explain to me what was being done and why it wasn't working the rep told me unless I understood all the coding there was no point on having someone talk to me. Thanks for calling me stupid, I didn't ask for someone to tell me the codes I was asking for someone to explain why it wasn't working.” After reviewing this phone conversation, we would like to apologize for our representative’s response. Although our representative did not call the client “stupid,” there seemed to be a misunderstanding between what the client was asking and our representative’s response.
The client cancelled Local Splash’s services on September 8, 2015 even though Local Splash did offer the client another month of free service to give the client’s listing more time to reach the first page of search results. The client also requested a refund of the August payment. Local Splash did refund this payment. Local Splash cannot refund the first two payments this client made because Local Splash did do the agreed upon work during that time.
Please note that client is currently ranking on the first page of [redacted] for search phrase “movers [redacted]”. It should also be noted that rankings change frequently and not all results are displayed in the same order based many factors, not limited to, but including: location of the user, device used, browsing/search history, web browser, etc. - this is why we have provided the screenshot. We are also including the link to the search used to find the client on the first page, however, based on the above factors, the user may see different results.

Please find below screenshots and explanations as to why I am certain that Local splash has not delivered what they had promised. To start with this is my website [redacted]. We do photography and videography. And we are located in [redacted].While speaking to Local splash and signing up for their SEO services, I said I would like to tap into the the wedding market in [redacted]. They said they would have my business appear in the top 5 when anyone would search for a "wedding photographer" or "wedding videographer" in [redacted]. And they said that it would take roughly two months for it happen. After 8-9 months this is what they have delivered. Kindly refer to the screenshots along with my explanations. And thank you for your patience.Screenshot # 1As you see and can confirm, when anyone searches for a "wedding photographer" in [redacted] or [redacted], our business does not show up even as a small red dot.Screenshot #2Here in this screenshot you will see, when the search keywords are changed to wedding videographer", again, we do not appear. [redacted] does not appear as a red dot like the others photography businesses. So, when I click on [redacted] in the list on the left, this is what happens.[redacted] appears as a red dot somewhere in [redacted] close to [redacted].This is not what I had signed up for. I would also ask you to judge the matter yourself. If a client in [redacted] wanted to look up a wedding videographer, why would she/he type in "wedding videographer [redacted]". Again, I would like to remind you that I was promised top visibility in [redacted], namely Manhattan, [redacted] and Brooklyn. I had never mentioned [redacted] is just where my business is registered. The other cause of my upset was that Local splash was able to deliver the above undesired result only after 9 months. They were charging me $200/month, and had promised to have my listing up and visible in less than two months. So even though I was not happy with the result, they had already billed me a total of $1000. If they had at least delivered on time, I would have cancelled after two months and saved money. But when I said I was going to cancel, they begged for more time. After being billed a total of $1000, they tell me that they do not have the capacity or skills to make my business appear in the top 5 in [redacted], and it is not possible. Now, that is not what they said when I signed up. Kindly look into this matter and I hope that you make a fair and just call. People like me see dreams of getting more business when SEO companies like Local splash hunt for our websites and call us with great prospects. They also sell their services saying they will help us pick the right kind of keywords for the search engine optimization. In my case, I wasn't made aware that the keywords selected for my business were "wedding videographer [redacted]". I hope you agree that no prospective client would type in such keywords. And even though I am not that internet savvy, I would never agree on such keywords. These keywords would never serve my purpose.I could go on, but I shall stop here. After reading through your complaint and response AND reviewing every call, note, and action taken on your Local Splash account, I have determined that Local
Splash did do everything they were contractually obligated to do for your account; however, the results of that work never resulted in first page placement for your
category within your city. 
  
Therefore, Local Splash is willing to offer you a partial refund in the amount of $199.00 in addition to the $199 that was refunded on 09/27/2016. If you accept this
offer, you will be asked to close the Revdex.com case before the refund is processed but everything will be in writing for your protection and to ensure your refund
(instructions would be sent to you if you accept). If you do not accept this offer, I do not know what else the company would be willing to do for you at this
point and both parties might have to part ways unsatisfied.

Claimant began his service with Local Splash February 2011. After review of notes and recordings, the claimant's service was cancelled because he had stopped paying us. Local Splash made several attempts to contact him, and make payment arrangements due to his financial hardship. After two months of...

non-payment Local Splash cancelled the service.   Local Splash had got the listing to Letter "A" Page one of [redacted] for Keywords "Dump", "Dumpster" "Hauling" "Junk removal" (keywords of his request) -  The analytic s of his listing prior to cancelling showed over 30,000 impressions (the number of times he showed up in a search result).  His response to the cancellation was, "I get more calls from [redacted]"  In June the claimant started sending Local Splash threatening emails claiming his [redacted] and that if we did not give him his credentials he was going to sue us. The client was sent his credentials, however; we have no knowledge about his claim of calls for Auto Parts. We wish the claimant well and consider this matter closed.
