The customer, ***, signed up for our free 14 day trial for the Lumabelle Skin Cream and Lumabelle Eye Serum on 11/05/2017 in which she paid $4.95 and $4.99 for shipping and handling to receive the products. In order for the customer to process the order, they have to click a box to agree to the terms and conditions on the website. We only promote trials and there is no mention of any smaller sized bottles or samples. The 14 day free trial then expired on 11/19/2017 and as it was agreed upon in the terms and conditions, the customer purchased the trial bottle of the Skin Cream for $89.92 and was supposed to purchase the Eye Serum for $84.95 but the payment hasn't been processed at that time. On 11/20/2017, the customer called in requesting to cancel her account. The program and transactions was fully explained to the customer. However, we understand that on rare occasions customers can miss this information or misunderstand how the program works and as a courtesy we waived the remaining balance for $84.95 for the Eye Serum and the customer was not required to return it. The account has been completely cancelled as of 11/20/2017 so the customer doesn't receive any future shipments or transactions. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences. We kindly request that the customer call back and speak to one of our customer service representatives and we would be more than happy to resolve this issue. Our main toll free number is: XXX-XXX-XXXX and our business hours are from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM EST Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday. Thank you for your cooperation.

ordered a product advertising paying shipping only $4.95. Today was billed $179.99 for those two products without my knowledge.
I saw a commercial on TV for a skin care product, one only needed to pay for shipping/handling $4.95. There was no mention of a trial offer and you would be billed $179.00. Saw that on my credit card. Tried calling the two 800#'s. I was on hold for almost an hour. I finally got through on 800-488-1835 and spoke to Juliette. Explained the situation and she was only willing to remove half of the charge. The product was ordered on 10-24 and I received it on 10-28. On Nov 7 and 8 my statement shows two more charges $84.95 & $89.92. she made me an offer of continuing to receive the product at a reduced rate. I made it clear I DO NOT want this product! I was trying to find info about this company on the Internet. I found that Amazon sells the exact two products. They sell the identical products each for $33.00. Totaling $66.00 when they attempted to charge me $179.00. How crooked can one get? The payment method used was a Citibank Visa card. Citibank took the charges off the bill. This company also advertises celebrities that use their products, saw some on TV and they say it's a lie! I'm hopeful that the Revdex.com can do something about the unscrupulous way this company does business.

Desired Outcome

If the bank is out money that they be reimbursed.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This business thrives on the fact that people are not aware of the fact that it is a 14 day trial and you will be billed about $179.00. That fact is evident from the number of complaints that the Better Business gets and the negativity about them on the web site YELP. There was no explanation, oral, as indicated prior to receiving the two creams. I would have never knowingly agreed to purchasing $179.00 of creams, especially when I investigated that the purchase for the identical product can be made on amazon for $33.00 each!! They con you into thinking you only pay for shipping and then you get zapped with $179.00. When you call the number that appears on your bill, in Nevada and one in Florida, it takes forever to get a live person. They apparently know why you are calling on those incoming lines. They then so graciously tell you they can help you out just this one time by taking 1/2 the cost off your bill, and ask that you continue to receive their product. So you still are being charged $90.00 for a trial offer product that is advertised to pay only shipping/handling. This company is very unscrupulous and deceptive in their advertising. It's a shame that they can't rely on their good reputation as opposed to the sneaky method in which they market their product.

Customer service 800# is hard to get ahold of, long wait times if someone does answer.
Product does not work.
I was looking through Pinterest and saw an advertisement for a free 14-day trial of lumabelle serum and cream. Ordered on 10/12 and received product on the 10/18 (which is longer than the 4 days advertised).
Order number: 0381DXXXXX
Order date: 10/13 3:16pm
Ship Date: 10/14 12:00am
Used product as instructed, without any results. Attempted to call during business hours with no success. Either I called too late (PST vs EST) or was on hold for ¨the next customer service representative¨ over 15 minutes.
On 10/27 and 10/28 my account was charged $89.92 and $84.95. While I had attempted calling customer service before, I tried again as soon as I saw the charges. On 11/2 I sent an email, but realize now that I had the wrong email address. Spoke to a ¨supervisor¨ today. Stated that ***@lumabelle.com is not a valid email address and therefore my call today 11/17 was past the ¨30-day money back guarantee¨. He asked that I send him a copy of this email, and while I was waiting for my computer to boot up, our ¨connection¨ was lost! He began by offering me a 25% refund and no cancellation costs, then offered me 50%...a one time only deal. I offered to return the product, but he declined; however, also offered me an additional free bottle of lotion. All of the above mentioned courtesies ¨are not usually done, but will extend this courtesy to you...¨ this one time. While he tried to ¨extend me a courtesy¨ he did not allow me the time to forward my initial email from 11/2 as he disconnected from our call. He did cancel my subscriptions, however.

I did not get his name. I called again (this time a 10 minute wait). I explained what occurred and she as well, offered me a 50% refund (I thought that was a one-time offer?). I accepted because I wanted something refunded, which will probably negate any additional attempts at receiving the remaining $87.43.

Desired Outcome

I would like the total balance of $174.87 credited to my account. I realize my error in not double checking the email address, as well as not readdressing this issue sooner. Mistakes happen, and I would expect a courtesy of 3-days past the 30-day satisfaction guarantee from a reputable company to extend to their customers. I feel that companies such as this make it difficult to contact them and receive refunds when dissatisfied are in the business to scam people, not just the elderly, instead of providing a quality product and satisfied customers.

Purchased 2 trial products for $4.95 shipping each. Now my credit card was also billed $89.92. They will not refund, even if I return products.
Facebook ad draws you in to try product. I thought I was only getting a trial. Instead, they bill you full price for product 14 days after order is placed (even if you don't receive it for another 5). I asked for a refund & offered to return unopened products. They won't allow it. Best I could do was get $53.95 back of my $89.92 they charged. As a "courtesy" they canceled the ongoing automatic membership (which I also didn't sign up for)and waived the $20 cancellation fee. This is unfair practice and is a total scam. You can't talk to anyone higher up on the phone. You can't return the products for full refund. Problem & purchase date = 10/22. Date received 10/27. Paid with credit card. Paid $9.90 for shipping then an additional $89.92. I want the rest refunded ($35.97). Started with $0 refund, then 25%, then 50%, then refunded cost. I can't get back to the Facebook ad, so can't see the terms and conditions I allegedly agreed to. The company also will not send them to me.

Desired Outcome

I want the remaining $35.97 refunded.

I want a full refund. I am happy to return the 2 unopened products. They told me they are not accepting returns. They started out saying no refund, then 25%, then we ended up with a little over $56. I asked to speak to a supervisor but was told there was nobody higher up than the customer service rep. I asked for the terms and conditions I allegedly accepted but they will not provide them. They basically take your money. The Facebook ad is also false. People pictured are not the sisters they say they are, and Shark Tank claims are false. Isn't that false advertising? Please refund the rest of my money and tell me where to return the products!

Luma Belle Response

We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences. For any returns on the products, customers have to cover shipping and handling at their own expense as well as the 15% restocking fee which is $13.46 per product. On early Oct '17 saw FB ad for an eye cream, said to buy for only S&H of $4.95 & then another cream was advertised for an addt $5.95 S&H only.
On 10/16/17 I noticed my bank acct was charged $84.95 on 10/13/17 and $89.92 on 10/11/17. Both of these charges were NOT AUTHORIZED. I immediately contacted my bank who advised me to contact the vendor first and then if nothing came of my contacting them, to contact the bank again and they would file a claim. I contacted the vendor, Lumalight/Freshlook Serum at XXX-XXX-XXXX. The Cust Serv person was only able to stop any future billing on my CC. A cancellation email was sent to me on 10/24/17. I asked for a refund of the unauthorized charges and they couldn't help me. I asked to speak with a manager and I was advised no one was available. I asked to hold and they advised me that I couldn't be put on hold. I then sent ***@lumabellecosmetics.com and email again reiterating that I wanted a refund for the charges made and that when I agreed to the product, there was no button or box that would tell me that I will be paying those amounts ($84.95 & $89.92) monthly or after a trial period. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from a manager, Tiera. Again, I asked for my monies to be refunded and she offered to refund 20% of the charges made and to send me a second set of creams which I rejected. I offered to send back their creams as long as I got my full refund. Phone conversation ended and another email was sent to them. I asked them to communicate by email so that I could keep a record of our communications by they said it was against their security. Every email I sent requesting a refund, manager, Tiera would call. As of today, 11/17/17, I have not been refunded the monies due. Again, they were NEVER AUTHORIZED and I have filed a claim with my bank, JPMorgan, by they say it would be best for the vendor to just refund full amount. I have tried and they are not working with me. 20% refund of amounts that were not supposed to be charged is not an option. This company is misleading and a FRAUD for charging amounts that customers are not aware of.

Desired Outcome

All I am seeking is the refund of the unauthorized charges made by Freshlook Eye Serum in the amount of $84.95 and Lumalight in the amount of $89.92.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
11/29/17 I contacted both my bank and vendor as they suggested in their response. After 30 minutes of vendor telling me they would refund only 25% and me not agreeing, they went up to a "max" refund of 85% and me returning product to them at my cost. I still did not agree, I suggested I'd be happy to return the unused product and get a FULL refund as the charges were not authorized. After a long call, seemed like 30mins, vendor's supervisor finally agreed to give me FULL refund and keep the product so that I wouldn't incur additional charges. Refund IDs were provided to both me and my Bank. Matter has been settled after over a month of contacting them. Luma Belle, you should be more clear with your clients when they agree to purchase from them so they are aware of what it is you will be charging.

Saw free offer but Free=shipping charge. I ok'd this but discovered I was now confined to monthly shipments! To cancel >12 hrs later, cost $13/product
I saw a free offer for samples. Agreed to two samples-Eye and skin cream. Was charged $4.95 per product to ship. After researching it further through Revdex.com, discovered I had committed myself to monthly shipments. To cancel this request I had to call the next morning as they would not honor email cancellations. According to customer service, my package was already on its way out that morning... In order to cancel the monthly subscription, I had to pay $13 per cream as a "stocking fee." My free sample turned into $36 BUT they let me keep the samples - otherwise I would have had to pay to
ship cream back!

Desired Outcome

The restocking fee was $13 per item. If I sent the items back, I would have to pay for that too. It was cheaper for me to keep the item. When it was offered for me to 'keep it', obviously I would. The items remain unopened in the box. Out of principle, I will not use them. Buyers beware.

Ordered a Free Trial. There was no indication it was for a 14 day trial then an $84.95 billing if not cancelled.Received only 43.69 refund, not full
amt
On Oct. 13, 2017 I noticed an offer online for a free trial sample of eye serum and moisturizer from Luma Belle. I read the offer well because I wanted to make sure I was not signing up for continued shipments. There was nothing on the offer that stated it was for a 14 day trial then continuing shipment membership at $84.95. There was only to be a $4.99 and $4.95 charge for postage which I charged to my Discover card. After ordering the free trial, I tried to print out my order but could not do so even though I know my computer is capable. I received the trial samples and believed my transaction was complete. I received my Discover bill statement around Nov. 8, but did not review it until today prior to scheduling a Dec. 1 payment only to find that on Oct. 28 I was charged $84.95 by AML*Eliteeyeserum XXX-XXX-XXXX. I called the company today, 11/14/17. After a very long discussion during which time I read the Revdex.com report to the customer service agent, she said she could only do a "courtesy refund" of $43.62 and insisted that the offer I responded to stated clearly it was for a 14 day trial and membership unless cancelled within the 14 days. Then I asked her to email a copy of the ad for the free trial to which I had responded. She said that would not be possible. I do believe this is deceptive advertising. I have memberships with two other companies from whom I receive monthly shipments of health and skin care products and am happy with them because I knew exactly what I was signing up for when I agreed to the membership. Unfortunately this was not the case with Luma Belle. I would like to receive $41.62 which would constitute a full refund if in fact I receive the $43.69 courtesy refund I received today.

Desired Outcome

I would like to receive a full refund of the $84.95 charged to my Discover card by Luma Belle on October 28, 2917. Today, 11/14/2017, the Luma Belle customer service agent offered a $43.69 courtesy refund which I accepted even though that did not satisfy my request for a full refund. Now I would like to receive an additional $41.26 refund from Luma Belle.

The offer for which I signed up did not state it was for a 14 Day Trial which when expired would continue on as monthly shipments. In light of the fact that this company has received previous complaints about the same situation and has been reprimanded to correct their advertising offers by the Revdex.com, I believe I should be entitled to a full refund.

The "Luma Belle Company" offered a free trial size of face moisturizer and eye serum. All you had to pay was shipping and handling. I then checked by bank statement and saw a a $4.95 and $4.99 debit but also noticed "Conviction Workout" debit, not ordered by me and called to cancel everything, BEFORE it arrived. I just felt this whole transaction seemed shady. The company did credit me the $19.93 "Conviction" tape but then I decide to go ahead and cancel all of it. The girl at Luma Belle assured me I was not in the system yet so she couldn't take me out of it. Then I received the 2 creams, each regular size and never used them. Forgot about them. I then looked again at my bank statement was debited $84.95 and $89.92 . I called to return them and was told too late. But she will stop any further deliveries. Horrible. I think the 2 companies shared my debit number, and just got caught. Plus, I would never spend that kind of money. Shame on them and me.

Company offers a product to purchase and then processes recurring charges were never clearly revealed to the consumer.
Online advertisement used celebrity to falsely advertise their product. Offered the product at an introductory price only to be told it was actually a trial period offer with a trial end date. No clear or concise terms and conditions delivered at time of purchase or made available to the consumer when inquired. Unauthorized recurring charges made against consumers bank account.

Desired Outcome

Concise and clear conditions and terms to the consumer (if they really have them at all). 100% refund to consumers who contact them inquiring about unknown recurring charges. The customer, ***, signed up for our free 14 day trial for the Lumabelle Skin Cream and Lumabelle Eye Serum on 10/22/2017 in which she paid $4.95 and $4.99 for shipping and handling to receive the products. I ordered this as a free sample plus shipping. No information provided about a 14-day trial period to return product or get stuck with 2 large payments and a membership. No information as to where to return or details about a membership, etc. If I entered into a legal contract, I should have this information. I want a full refund. My card was charge $9.95 on 10/19/17. Then it was charged 2 more times on Nov 6, for $89.92 and $84.95. I called to request a refund and they said sorry you've passed the 14 day trial period and there is nothing we can do. They agreed to waive a cancellation fee. I talked to agent *** and *** Again. ZERO information provided about any of this. They said find the original ad, which is now gone from the internet. I simply ordered a free sample. I want all my money back. I intend to pursue this to the furthest extent possible until money is refunded. I do wish to received product as compensation.

Desired Outcome

Full refund of charges made to my card from this company.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This response does not address the deception this company used to sell their product. The website is not available and no information about a 14 day trial period was provided. This makes returning sometime impossible. And, I didn't know to return any product because they did not provide information that this was required. checked box or no checked box, this company is a scam. The expiring time ticker that I recall was displayed was designed to trick people into agreeing to something that they would not have time to read any fine print. Although I question if there was fine print. I do not accept their offer and want a full refund of the money that was taken from my account.

Luma Belle Response

BEWARE!!! Complete scam!!! Nowhere is there a page of terms and conditions. They will take your money and give you the run around...insisting you signed a terms and conditions page. NOT the case. A total scam and will rip you off for a VERY INFERIOR product. $175.00 lost over this. Working with my bank to get a 50% refund. Sad that I cannot give less than a one star rating...negative zero please!

Does not tell people they will charge account for 89.92 after 14 days if they don't return the trial
Ordered a trial bottle of a face cream and eye serum. Was charged the full amount for the cream without me knowing they would do this if I didn't send back the bottles within 14 days. There wasn't even a return shipping label to alert me that I need to return this item. In the box there was no letter saying if for any reason you do not like this face cream please feel free to send it back and we will not send you anymore. Talked with someone at Luma Belle and they said they would wave the cancellation fee which if I am doing a trial why do I have to have cancel an account it is only a trail!

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund to my account $89.92. I will not worry about the fact that the items came in the same box but was charged for 2 separate shipping charges. If they would like the bottles back with what is left I will gladly return them but they will pay the shipping to have it sent back!

In there terms the money collects which in my case was 174.95 that is when the 30 day supply starts. So if I cancelled my account why I am I not being reimbursed the money that is suppose to pay for the 30day supply? Since I did not want a 30 day supply. They charge you for a product, you cancel and want the money back but they keep the money and the product?! That sounds very fishy to me.

After that they called me offering to keep the creams and to refunded the money only $63.42 # XXXXXXXX and the other one $67.42 #XXXXXXXX and keep the creams but I paid $179.10 but I said that was ok because better than nothing but I do t think it's right because that's deceiving no giving out the right information . This company posted an offer for a "free" trial of their LumaBelle Skin Cream and eye serum, but are now billing me $180/month for nothing!
In September, the LumaBelle company posted an advertisement for a "free trial" offer. I signed up and paid what they said was a shipping fee of $4.95. HOWEVER, they are now billing my credit card for two products, totaling nearly $180 a month! And, the products are NOT being shipped. I DID NOT authorize LumaBelle to do anything other than process the $4.95 shipping fee! I just called to cancel my credit card, and learned that not only did the company charge me $180 in Oct., but they have also charged me $180 for November! I was shocked when I received my statement. I was certain it was an error or oversight, but when I learned they made the same charge on my upcoming Nov. statement, I knew the company was committing fraud using my credit card!

Desired Outcome

I would like my credit card reimbursed for the Oct. and Nov. fees for the following that I was wrongly billed and never received: FRESH LOOK FACE CREAM $89.92 X 2 AND REJUVA WHITE SERUM $85.90. X 2 = $349.74 This company falsely advertised for a "free trial offer", but there is nothing free about it and now is charging me monthly for a product I did NOT authorize, nor have a I received, nor do I wish to receive. And, the same product is sold on Amazon for less than half the cost of what they are billing my credit card!!! I have CANCELLED my card and am hopeful that LumaBelle won't be able to scam me out of any more money!!!

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Their offer only stated that this was a "risk-free" sample and that only a shipping fee would be charged, which is not the case. Shame on me for believing such a claim and shame on them for scamming customers this way. I've gone back to their web site numerous times to check if I had overlooked their terms. It wasn't until today that I found their "Terms and Conditions" link at the very bottom of their homepage. This link should appear BEFORE customers are asked to enter their contact details. Additionally this is also the small print where they notify the customer that their product has no scientific backing, it has not been evaluated by the FDA, and that the depictions on their page "are fictitious." I initially requested a full refund which is over $350.00, which would cover what LumaBelle has charged my card in Oct. and Nov., but was told I will not be refunded for Oct., and have to wait for the product to arrive in Nov. (which he stated would take 3-4 wks), just to turn around and ship it back to them requesting a refund, assuming it arrives within their given refund window! I have contacted my credit card company, and they will also reach out to LumaBelle to request a refund on my behalf.

The email I received and the order confirmation for their "free trial" clearly states this product is eligible for a full refund. They will not honor.
On 10/9/17 I ordered a "free trial" of luma belle reviatalizing moisturizer. I was told I only had to pay shipping and I did understand the fine print and that I needed to cancel within 14 days or I would be charged. However, NO WHERE on the confirmation page, in the terms and conditions, in the email I received or the package did it state that 14 days started at the time I ordered. It also clearly said on every trial advertisement that I could receive a full refund no questions asked if I was not satisified. A charge became pending in my account on 10/23/17 which was the 14th day. The charge went through at 9 am on 10/24/17 which technically if you go in a 24 hour time period was not even 15 full days from my order date. I did not receive my product until 10/16/17 I was barely able to try the product before I was charged. I thought I had 14 days from the date I received the product to try it. This was not the case. When I called on 10/23/17 to see if I could cancel and receive a refund for the 89.92 my account was charged they said I was out of the 14 day trial period and there was nothing they could do. This was techinically still the 14th day and the charge was still pending so I found this unacceptable. They did not offer any resolve except for an apology and that they could cancel my account but could not give any refund. I called 2 more times and spoke with agaent *** and *** and was told a supervisor was not available to speak to me. I was not offered a return call or any resolve to my complaints on these days as well. I called again and spoke to supervisor Clint #110 who said again that I was out of my trial period and there was nothing he could do. After much argument about the fact that every piece of information I received said they offered a full money back guarantee no questions asked he said that only counts for their full year subscribers. Absolutely no where does it say that. It is listed right on the trial offer that they will give a full money back guarantee. I offered to send the product back they refused. Clint did offer me a 25% employee discount and a free shipment which I said was unacceptable. I offered to eat some of the cost and asked for a 75% refund and even to ship the product back. Clint refused and then hung up on me. I called again immediately and spoke with agent #813 who told me no supervisors were available again. He said as well that there is nothing he could do except offer me a free shipment. After going over the fact that all their advertisements, emails, and terms and conditions clearly state they offer a full money back guarantee he was willing to give me the same 25% discount that clint offered. I have spent well into 2 hours on the phone multiple times, been refused to be allowed to speak to a supervisor, been hung up on and so I said yes refund me the 25%. I do not feel this was adequate but felt that it was my only option. They should not put on ALL of their information that ""If for any reason you do not find this product is right for you we will gladly give you a full refund no questions asked" This is on the trial screen, this is on the trial confirmation page, this is in the terms and conditions, it is in the confirmation email. I should be able to receive a refund regardless of if I have been receiving the product for a year.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund of the 89.92 they charged my card minus the 25% discount. I am looking for a refund of 65.44 and I will return the product if needed. If that charge constituted me enrolling in their program and their reasoning for not offering the full refund if not satisfied that they clearly advertise is because I was not a year member that is false advertisement. They are not willing to offer a refund and should not advertise that they will no questions asked.

I called and talked to several different representatives about returning the cream and receiving a refund. All three representatives said they could not issue a refund as I was out of the trial period. On their website, on their terms and conditions, and on my email confirmation it clearly states I may receive a full refund if not satisfied. I am not satisfied and would like a full refund. I am not calling the company back. I have spoke to four representatives and a manager. The manager actually hung up on me and two of the representatives refused to let me a speak with a manager. I accepted the 25% refund because I was not getting anywhere with the one manager I was able to speak to (who actually just hung up on me)and the representatives told me they cannot do anything for me and they cannot let me speak to a manager. If you review all of the advertising as well as their terms and conditions it states that I can receive a refund if not satisfied. I am not satisfied with the product. It does not work as advertised. It is not the right product for me. I would like a refund in full.

DON'T ORDER THE FREE TRAIL!
I ordered this product for my mother on 9/21/2017 using the website: http://lumabellecream.net which give you a free trial and just pay $5 shipping. I ordered the LumaBelle Eye Serum and LumaBelle Skim Cream. A total of $10 and change was deducted from my card. 20 days later LumaBelle deducted $82 and $85+change from my card. I understand this had to do with after the free trail you will get charged. So on 10/26/17 I called and canceled both products, They even emailed me two cancelation emails, one for each product and said that I would not be charged again. So Today, 11/1/17 I notice they deducted a total of $105.70!!! I will be calling as soon as they open tomorrow 1-800-410-7053!!! I will also be visiting my bank to see what I can do about this charge! So Buyer beware. It didn't work well for my mother anyway! Just order it off of Amazon if you really want it. $35+/-. DON'T ORDER THE FREE TRAIL! IT'S NOT FREE AT ALL!

I agree with the complaints already sent in. This company is a scam. They have us believing we are ordering samples and paying $4.95 for shipping.
Luma Belle charged 84.95 for serum and 89.92 cream on my credit card. (As well as the original 4.95 & 4.99 shipping)
I guess I had signed up for monthly shipments as well because I didn't contact the company within 14 days to cancel my order.
Please DO NOT have any dealings with this company.
I was able to get a credit of 67.45 and 63.68 when I called back to complain. Call XXX-XXX-XXXX if you have disputes with them......don't settle on their first credit of 22.49 & 21.20! Keep telling them you are going to dispute their charge with your credit card company. Good Luck!!

Desired Outcome

Just want others to be aware of Luma Belle's scam!

They were only going to give me 75% of my money back, but decided to refund me the other 25%. I believe the extra 25% is because they heard from you, Revdex.com. THANK YOU!

I will check with Revdex.com before I ever decide to order 'samples' and giving out my credit card number to pay for shipping. Lesson learned!

Thanks Beter Business Bureau, you made my day!

Unauthorized charges of $174.87 and was signed up for future purchases following a free trial of S/H fees only. No knowledge or agreement to any of it
Paid S/H fees for free product. It arrived w/out correspondence;email received w/ track#/ship date only. Credit card had unauthorized charges of $174.87 next mo. and was informed I was in the system to receive and pay for future shipments. They say they have removed me from future shipments, but refuse to refund the unauthorized charges. They would'nt give me their address nor do they respond to emails. They now hang up on me when I call to request the refund or submit their address. I have also asked them to email me in writing that I am removed from futher products or solitation, but haven't received an email back.

Desired Outcome

I want the unauthorized charges of $174.87 returned to my credit card. The business should be required to state on the purchage page that there are requirements to be met in order to receive free product and a clear check box that acknowledges the customer agrees to the terms. In addition, the correcpondence in with the product should re-iterate this agreement as well as the email that is sent regarding shipping/tracking information of the product.

Luma Belle Response

The customer, ***, signed up for our free 14 day trial for the Lumabelle Skin Cream and Lumabelle Eye Serum on 09/19/2017 in which she paid $4.95 and $4.99 for shipping and handling to receive the products. In order for the customer to process the order, they have to click a box to agree to the terms and conditions on the website. The 14 day free trial then expired on 10/03/2017 and as it was agreed upon in the terms and conditions, the customer purchased the trial bottle of the Skin Cream for $89.92 and $84.95 for the Eye Serum. On 10/30/2017, the customer called in requesting to cancel the account. The program and charges were fully explained to the customer. The customer also requested a return but was unfortunately passed the 30 day money back guarantee. The customers account has been completely cancelled as of 10/30/2017 so she doesn't receive another billing or shipment from our company. We kindly request that the customer call back and speak to one of our customer service representatives and we would be more than happy to resolve this issues. Our main toll free number is: 844-608-5127 and our business hours are from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM EST Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday. Thank you for your cooperation.

Customer Response

I called Lumabelle cosmetics as suggested in their response to me at which time they offered me 25% refund of my money. I accepted this offer believing that this is the best I can expect from them. This brings my loss from fraudulent charges down from $174.86 to $131.16. Please be advised that this company is involved in a SCAM and in no way does my accepting this small refund mean that I am satisfied. In my view criminals are being allowed to steal and I wish they could be stopped. I will send this as my response AFTER I see the refund come through.

Luma Belle Response

We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences. Understanding how the terms and conditions may have been overlooked, we did process the remaining refund in the amount of $131.16. The account has been completely cancelled as of 10/30/2017 so she doesn't receive another billing or shipment from our company. We kindly request that the customer call back and speak to one of our customer service representatives for any further concerns and we would be more than happy to assist the customer. Our main toll free number is: 844-608-5127 and our business hours are from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM EST Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday. Thank you for your cooperation.

It is my understanding that my credit card refused payment on my behalf and then and only then was this resolved in a satisfactory conclusion.

0 Stars if Possible- My story is the same as everyone else. Paid shipping for free trial today saw the additional charges totaling ~$175.00. Called company (long wait on phone) and spoke to Sherry (#784). I complained about the charge for what was free trial products and she immediately began to read from the script that all phone employees must have at the ready. My trial time period had ended, so I was to pay the total amount. She told me after I made it clear that they were not to ever charge me again or continue sending their products that she would waive the $19.95 cancellation fee! Unreal. Called my credit card company. Filed a complaint. Company has 10 days to respond. Not sure how this will end. Terribly fraudulent company. I sincerely hope they are fined or put out of business. I've read several complaints like mine all over the internet (Rip Off Report for one). Products are made in China. Not sure if this is a Chinese company or what.
