ManVenture Outpost Reviews (96)

Review: I bought a handguard (http://www.manventureoutpost.com[redacted])

from Man Venture Outpost website on 6/13/2016, order# [redacted], for $73.28 with $12.99 shipping.

Since their online order status was not updated for two days, on 6/15/2016, I tried to contact them on the phone ([redacted]) but no one answered the phone. I then tried to message them on their Facebook page, and got a response with tracking number.

I received the item on 6/17/2016. After inspection, the handguard's design is different in such way that I can't install it on my upper receiver. On 6/18/2016, I tried to call them again to arrange the return and refund based on their return policy (http://www.manventureoutpost.com/pages/Return-Policy.html), but still no one picked up the phone.

On 6/19/2016, I requested a refund by entering the relevant information online (http://www.manventureoutpost.com/pages/Request-Return-Authorization.html). I didn't receive any confirmation afterwards.

On 6/20/2016 I tried contact them on their Facebook page again, but this time didn't get any response.

On 6/21/2016, tried to re-enter the return and refund information online again, still no confirmation afterwards.

On the same date 6/21/2016, tried calling them on the phone the third time, but their phone is not even ringing.

Sent them another Facebook message, and no response either.

So now I am stuck with a product I can't use, and I can't get in touch with them to arrange a return and refund.Desired Settlement: Arrange the return and refund the purchase price of $73.28.

Review: Purchased a Seek Reveal Thermal Camera on 4/28/16. Camera became nonfunctional beginning of this month. MVO website Satisfaction statement indicated the makers of products should acknowledge any warranty and repair issues so I started with the Seek Company first. They responded indicating they would not warranty the item as MVO is not a valid dealer and sell below the MAP. I then contacted MVO through the only way possible...email...and asked them to cover item. I had to used the email submission a few times before getting a response from Matt L. in customer service. He apologized for Seek not covering the item and said he had to wait for "information from the warehouse" and would get back in touch with me. Days went by. I emailed again. I FINALLY got a prepaid mailing label sent to me as an attachment however Matt L. never indicated if they were going to exchange the item or refund my money. I had the item packaged and shipped out the same day of receiving label. Label had the PA address on it, but when I tracked it via UPS, it had been "redirected" to an address in Missouri?? I emailed Matt L. to tell him this and to verify the corrected address. Didn't hear from him. Emailed him again to verify...Didn't hear from him. Emailed him again, still haven't heard from him. Wherever and whom ever received the product back resulting from the label provided by MVO is not my doing nor concern. The item has been received. I do not wish to have any more to do with this company.Desired Settlement: I have returned item and per their Satisfaction Guarantee, they promise to make things right. I wish for a full refund back onto my credit card. Thank you. [redacted]

I recieved what I had order but decided to return it. Good luck getting a hold of someone. E-mails are "undeliverable" and phone is a constant busy signal. WIll try a stop payment next and see how they respond to that.

Review: On 17th Oct 2016 I placed an order (#[redacted]) for 2 items for a total of $33.62. On the 18th I received an email confirming my order and stating that "Your order will ship to you in from our Economy Processing Facility in 4-7 business days." I sent an email requesting the status of my order, which went unanswered. I am writing this on (work day) 9. They offer no customer service to call and as stated above, emails go unanswered.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the company be held responsible for their business practices, order status updated, communication followup, and my order shipped.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. All of this could have been avoided if they communicated the correct status, tracking number, and responded to email.

Review: I searched their website which said they had 3 Beretta A400 in stock. I ordered Sunday 6/26/16. My Credit Card was immediately charged $2,445. No email Monday, so I sent one to them, another Tuesday, no response. Wednesday I get an email from them saying Beretta cannot supply. WAIT A MOMENT. Their Website said they had 3 in stock. (The Website still says they have 3 in stock, updated hourly) They only operate by Email, no phone numbers. But a little reseach links them to [redacted].

Today is Thursday June 30, 2016. Still waiting for the Credit to show up on my Credit Card. This was a $2,445 purchase.

When you say you have something to sell, and you DONT have it, and you still take people's money from their Credit Card that sounds too much like FRAUD to me. If I dont get my credit by tomorrow, its a phone call to the PA Attorney Generals office.Desired Settlement: 1. Want to see the $2,445 Credit to my credit card.

2. I want Revdex.com to warn other potential victims of this business.

Review: I received a product that had been broken before it was packaged for shipping , because the OEM package was damaged but there was no signs of the shipping package being damaged. I contacted them 2 times before I got a reply be E-mail, they asked for pictures. I sent pictures, then no reply after that. its been about 2 weeks since I sent the pics.Desired Settlement: return the broken part, receive refund

Business

Response:

We have been in contact with the customer to resolve this issue. We were short staffed because of a family emergency.

Review: Received a purchased product that was broken/defective. Per the company return policy as stated on their website I contacted them wanting to return the product and get a refund. Correspondence occured a couple of times with a request for pictures of the damage and that they were waiting on authorization from their supplier. After that there has been zero response to my emails. I am still in possesion of the defective merchandise and have been left with no way to resolve the issue.Desired Settlement: Return of defective merchandise to company at their expense, I have already paid shipping for the inital delivery. Along with full refund of purchase price along with any applicable taxes, and fees, with no restocking fee due to the product being defective.

Business

Response:

Refund has been issued.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] The amount of time that it took to receive the refund that was requested, along with failure to communicate with me , is totally unacceptable business practices. I did finally receive a refund and a mailing label to return the defective merchandise, only after the Revdex.com contacted the business. The bank issuing my credit card also started a fraud investigation, and all information was forwarded to the Attorney General of my state.

Review: I am a small lady who is disabled . This cane is too large for my hands. I am trying to reach the return department, but it appears to be a scam. When you try to email , the screen says "incomplete information" and we have tried different people and computers. I need to exchange this cane for the clod steel slim stick model.Desired Settlement: Please let me exchange this cane, it is unopened.

Review: I received a holster for a handgun for Christmas. The holster did not fit the weapon. I went online to see how to exchange the item and followed Manventure Outpost's protocol. They ask that you complete an online form and they will respond within one or two business days. They also ask the customer to call if the email is not returned. They only allow a 20 day window for returns. After several days, I attempted to call. No one answered and there was not an option to leave a message. I sent a second email explaining the 20 day window was about to close. That was about a week ago and the window is now closed. I have not heard back. I conducted an online search and it appears that several others have had similar problems with this business.Desired Settlement: I would just like to return the unused item.

Business

Response:

We have been in contact with the customer to return the holster.

Review: I would like to return an item. Have been emailing and calling them for over 2 weeks with a response.Desired Settlement: Be able to return for a refund.

Review: I purchased two rod/reel combo fishing rod from ManVenture Outpost at $129.95 each. When I received them, approximately 3 inches of the tip of one of the poles was broken off. I purchased them for a trip so as soon as I returned home on March 22nd I had my wife send an email stating the problem. We included a copy of the packing slip and a photo of the broken rod. No one answers calls at the store, however I have called several times just to see if by odd circumstances they would actually answer, but never talked to anyone. My wife has sent three additional emails trying to get someone to respond. Their policy states if you receive a damaged product, "email [redacted] and you will receive an answer within 24 hours". It has now been seven days and we have not heard anything.Desired Settlement: I would like to hear back from someone at the business!

Matt,

Please cancel entire order and issue refund. Obviously your ordering system is flawed or severely misleading to the customer. As of right now, your website states:

“Current Stock: 136 (Updated Hourly)”

Matt,

Second reply..... see below.....

Waiting for refund on my account.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Full Refund (I have disputed the charge with [redacted])

Website to eliminate misleading and deceptive statements:

Example: Current Stock: 128 (Updated Hourly)

When in fact they email you and tell you: "Unfortunately we are having an issue with Berretta and at this time are not able to fill that portion of the order."

Obviously they didn't and don't have a "Current Stock" of 128 that is "Updated Hourly"

Review: On July 9th, 2015, I ordered several items from this business (order #[redacted]). Upon receiving the items I decided that I wanted to return some of them because I had changed my mind. According to their web site, they will accept such returns provided the products are in new condition and the packaging is still sealed and intact, and that is the case here. I tried to contact the retailer three times via a form on their web site, but to no avail: they have not replied to my request and now the return window has closed.Desired Settlement: I would simply like to hear some reply from the retailer. Unless their return policy has changed, I would like them to accept the items I'd like to return for a refund minus return shipping which I'm happy to pay.

Response:

Please email us at [redacted] and we'll get this taken care of.

Better Business Burea

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Ordered a reel over three weeks ago and have not got any response from them. Can't get ahold of anyone by phone and just get recordings to send message to customer service on website. Sent numerous letters and still no response. I am guessing this company is a big scam and will take legal procedures. Buyers beware !

Review: We ordered an item from this company on a Wednesday afternoon and paid for 2nd day shipping service, their website stated that they ship either UPS or FedEx (but the customer can't select the shipping service) and said NOTHING about not offering Saturday delivery for UPS. They took a day to process the order and shipped later on Thursday, and they elected to use UPS. This is a missing critical item, which means we need it for use on Sunday.

The UPS tracking information;

Shipped on: Thursday, April 30, 2015

Delivery to: [redacted], US

Scheduled for: 4 Days Monday, May 4, 2015

Service: 2ND DAY AIR

This is unacceptable, we paid the extra money for 2nd day delivery. If this company was upfront about their shipping policies we would of bought from a different online retailer.Desired Settlement: Full refund for the item the shipping and the return shipping cost.

Item(s): $29.41

Shipping Cost: $30.32

Total Cost: $59.73

Business

Response:

We recalled the package and issued a full refund for the misunderstanding.
