Revdex.com, Meritage stands behind our warranty and will inspect the customers marble countertops for manufacturer defects and if warrantable, make applicable repairs. However, we decline their request that Meritage replace the cultured marble countertops based on their percepton of the products performance or their disappointment that it is not 'like" the counters they selected for the kitchen. We installed the product selected by the customer, confirmed it met the criteria they requested during the design appointment and presented several countertop options including the granite they selected for their kitchen. This is not a warrantable matter and therefore the counters will not be replaced. Best regards, Meritage Homes Corporation

Tell us why here...Revdex.com,Meritage Homes takes great pride in the homes we build. We select materials and products that meet our quality standards and are recognized within the industry as being great service providers. [redacted] is one of many we contract with to provide quality energy efficient...

appliances to our homeowners. All manufactures warranties are transferred to the homeowner at the time they close escrow. [redacted] also administers their warranty, thereby directly working with the homeowners. In fact, their warranty is such that if we were to modify or address appliance concerns outside their protocol, we could negatively affect the homeowners warranty coverage.  In most cases this has not been an issue for our homeowners. Unfortunately, In this case, [redacted] failed to provide timely service.  Meritage has reached out to [redacted] directly on this matter and it is our understanding that they have resolved the issues. We do apologize for the homeowners experience and we have shared our mutual disappointment with Whirlpool.Best regards,Meritage Homes

I am disappointed in your response. It fails to address the facts and photographs I presented and replicates the response I received from your customer care team. Let me present the facts to you in a logical order and ask that you reconsider your position. I moved into my new home in December 2013. By mid-year 2014 Meritage Homes began building a new home in the lot next to mine.  During the construction process red clay and mud spilled over and covered my retaining wall and driveway. I spoke to your customer care representative who assured me all the damage caused by the construction of the home next to mine would be corrected once the construction was completed. This however never happened. After the construction of the new home next to mine was completed my complaint was again put on hold by your customer care representative until Meritage Homes could stabilize the exposed slope they created and get control of the flood of red clay and water pouring onto my property from next door. Once again I was assured by your customer care representatives that once they got control of the grading issue around the new home, they would address my issues. It was the logical thing to do so I agreed.  By late 2016 Meritage Homes finally got control to the grading issue next door to me and made several attempts to clean my property, none of which has worked. After the failed attempts I inquired as to what the plan was to clean up the damage. I was shocked to be told that Meritage Homes wasn’t responsible, would take no further action and that the pressure washing was a, “courtesy.” I have attached several photographs of the damage being caused by the construction, the dramatic flow of red clay during the year after the construction, and the current condition of the driveway and retaining wall.  With respect to the cracked and damaged driveway. It was caused during the 2014 construction of the new home next to mine. Your reconsideration of my complaint would be appreciated.

Revdex.com,  Meritage Homes respects the complainants decision. We do consider this matter resolved.  Best regards,  Meritage Homes Corporation

Revdex.com,  Meritage cannot commit to any repair until we have the opportunity to inspect. Please ask the complaintant to contact our warranty department as our attempts have not been responded to.  Best regards,  Meritage Homes

I do not accept this response. Just because Meritage Homes delegated the warranty to a third party does not mean they can sidestep obligation to me as the homeowner. I did not purchase the home until 2006 (not 2004) and there is evidence foundation issues were concealed. Others need to know about how this company handles claims like this. We need it resolved or I will take other steps to let this be known and to get it resolved satisfactorily. The blame game won't work here. Meritage Homes can and should step up and take responsibility for this foundation problem. If they have done this before to others, we need to know and communicate that. Please let me know what needs to be done to force Mertigae to stand behind the warranty it issued on my home. Thank you.

Meritage has made contact with our homeowner and scheduled repair of warrantable items for mid April.  Best regards,  Meritage Homes

Revdex.com,  Meritage Homes has discussed this matter with our customer in great detail. We cannot guarantee dye lots or availability of materials as such, we clearly disclose this in the purchase agreement they entered into. We did make a fair and reasonable offer to accommodate our customer by...

upgrading their original selection with a product that is very similar in appearance to their original selection.  We did decline their request for additional compensation. The customer accepted our offer by email on August 30, 2017, the same day they filed this complaint.  Meritage remains willing and able to deliver the complainant a beautiful home and ask that they confirm with their sales associate if they wish to complete the purchase of their home.  Best regards,  Meritage Homes Corporation

The representative from Meritage Homes did contact me, we are still trying to resolve all issues with the house. The representative seems to be taking his time with the possible mold concern! I am finding it difficult to make appointments that are feasible for the both of us. So, as of right now, nothing has been resolved and this is a continuation of the situation that I have been for two years now and I really don't believe that all of the concerns will be resolved, since Meritage Homes has so many customer service complaints online. Lastly, the representative is very disrespectful and will not call ahead to verify an appointment to make sure someone is home or if it is a good time to show up at the home and will show up unannounced. I am a very dissatisfied home owner of Meritage Homes because of this!

Revdex.com, Meritage has reached out to our homeowner to better understand his concerns. Warranty repair work was scheduled to take place in November, however he cancelled all work due to the upcoming holidays. We are certainly available to inspect and schedule any warrantable work, however we do require...

access to the home. We will update this response as soon as we have the opportunity to speak with our homeowner. Best regards, Meritage Homes Corporation

Hi,  yes thanks for your email, I accidently sent without response and was wondering what to do.  The response that came back from meritage was completely false and inaccurate.  When we wrote the contact for the house I specifically asked Jamie, the meritage agent at the time,  if the cubbies were standard in the plan we were interested in,  she said "yes they are",  i even further asked if it needed to be in the contract,  she said "no as long as it is standard it does not need to be in the contact."  Then a couple of weeks before closing we saw that the cubbies were not in the house,  when we inquired about them we were told it wasn't in the contract, I told the builder what the agent had told me so he said he would try to get them done for us,  when we were a couple of days from closing they still were not in,  we went by the meritage sales office and mentioned the issue to the new agent,  [redacted],  and he responded,  "yeah I actually thought those were standard in that plan as well,  that's what I have told people (prospective buyers) coming in." Furthermore, their response also says the cubbies were in the model home,  that is actually not true,  the model home does not even have a mud room to put the cubbies.  It is in a home for sell in the subdivision, that is the same plan as ours, with almost no upgrades! The builder sent a contractor to our house after closing and we were under the impression he was going to put these in for us without charging us but when he arrived he inquired about us paying before he started, which was very confusing and disappointing to us because we actually thought for a moment that meritage was going to stand behind their employees but instead left us holding the bill!  I can only hope they will reconsider and do what is the right thing in this situation!  Thank you, [redacted]

The only thing that Meritage has told the truth and what little truth it was is a settlement which I mentioned in my complaint that was in the amount of $1700.00 towards our foyer and laundry room floors which would cost alone $4000 to repair. Meritage is fully aware that the damages extend beyond this; however their lies will never stop and this is a corporate culture. Meritage is can you show a report from a certified Structural Engineer whom came to my home and did an inspection.......let me answer that for you NO!!!!!! Can you provide responses to my multiple emails to all of the named individuals in my initial complaint from the warranty manager who failed to show and call for a scheduled appointment wasting my time as well emails to his boss, her boss and the corporate office.......Let me answer this one too......NO!!!!! Maybe the communication you are referring to is blocking me from your Twitter page and Facebook page that I posted pictures of your work/lack thereof to my home, the faulty install to my driveway and unwillingness to show any type of customer care, professionalism and ownership. Maybe you have no concept of these principles.  Meritage HAS NOT inspected my home or the integrity of the foundation and structure nor the integrity of their work, they have only sent a biased inspector to look at my floors to which I have also had a floor inspector to come in who disputes the findings of their inspector and finds more damages than the individual Meritage sent.  I refute any assertion by Meritage or any representative of this excrement of a corporation who state they have in good faith attempted to do the right thing, find equitable terms to settle, or have contacted a member of the household by phone, email, snail mail, or Social Media.By the way our Warranty is not out until June 26 2016.......get your dates right Meritage!!!!!!! By the way Meritage we have been screaming at you for a year now to fix our home and your work!!!!

Revdex.com,  Our team is reviewing the circumstances regarding this matter; we will require more time to respond to this complaint.  Meritage Homes
