Both appointments were scheduled directly with the homeowner and in accordance with her schedule. We have rescheduled a third appointment for July 16th, 2015. This is the second complaint with Meritage homes for the same issue September 27, 2016. They told Revdex.com that they would contact us. THEY NEVER GOT IN TOUCH with us. The home they built for us was delivered...

with a sewer pump. We did not contract for that. Due to their own fault and lack of attention or knowledge, the sewer line would not meet up with the city sewer line. THEIR fault for improper planning. We simply asked for our $5000 earnest money back. That simple. They have closed on the house and made about $16000 on the sale above what we were to pay. Still waiting on a response from Meritage. Lets close this door, please. Do the right thing.We want out $5000 earnest money we paid. We want the customer service that your company so boldly proclaims.

Meritage Homes didn't meet with me after submitting the complaint, I contacted the warranty department and they are trying to schedule an appointment with the windows company but it wasn't scheduled. I would like to leave the complaint open until all the issues are resolved.

after the expiration of the one year workmanship warranty period base on the homeowners close of escrow of 5/20/15.Due to heavier than normal rainfall during the spring and summer 2017, the ground water table raised quite substantially.  Meritage Homes understands his frustration, however, this is beyond our control or responsibility.The homeowner has been notified verbally, emailed and was sent an analysis report that this is a non-warrantable issue. The homeowner has a remaining warranty which is structural only, 7 years and 9 months. We respectfully decline his request for unwarrantable driveway repairs. Regards,Meritage Homes Corporation

Revdex.com, On April 21, 2014 the complainant entered into a purchase agreement with Meritage Homes and indicated she would secure financing with an outside lender not affiliated with Meritage Homes.  The prequalification loan approval provided to us had conditions regarding debts that the...

complainant had to pay off prior to obtaining full loan approval. Meritage complied with our legal obligation to build the home in accordance with the complainants’ personal specifications and décor as established during the purchase and design center appointments. The home was fully constructed and a final occupancy permit was applied for, thereby making the home ready to occupy and transfer ownership to the complainant by the end of August. Meritage was notified by the complainants outside lender on August 6, 2014 that she had not yet fully complied with the terms of her loan and requested an extension to allow her time to pay off debts. Although Meritage was under no obligation to do so, we did without penalty extend the closing date to September 29, 2014. In fact, Meritage waited until October in hopes that the complainant would meet her lenders financial obligations and close on the home. In November, the complainant informed Meritage of her intent not to close on the home and requested a refund of earnest monies. As explained above, the complaintant is in breach of contract and Meritage fully performed pursuant to the contract therefore her request for refund of the deposit has been denied. We certainly wish the complainant the best and regret that we were unable to provide her keys to the home she personalized.  Best regards, Meritage Homes Corporation
