I just noticed in our portal today a claim that was closed for non-response.The homeowner had not reached out to us in over a year – the complaint came as a complete surprise.I am not sure how I missed sending a reply – but our team did meet with the homeowner in October and visit his home.We did...

make some repairs that were warranted.This matter was resolved. I inadvertently overlooked updating this complaint – this is a first for me.  I oversee ALL of the Revdex.com activity for our organization and this one fell through.

find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me, assuming that Meritage will be refunding the full amount of $5,000.  I'm not sure I understand the "Tell us why here" opening to the letter, but that is a mute point.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

 Revdex.com,Meritage has gone above and beyond by contracting a third party mold remediation company and following their guidelines to appropriately address their concerns. Their professional results indicate the crawlspace is environmentally sound; the mold spores present were not of concern and were in fact, commonly found in our eco system. Meritage cannot seal a crawlspace from the natural elements of the homes environment. The crawlspace with its humidity, moisture and access to fresh air may occasionally allow the growth of mold; however the mold present did not exhibit a condition that would damage the complainant’s home. Again, we respectfully decline his request for monetary compensation.

We have reviewed this matter and determined that the granite the buyer selected is the product installed in their home. We have further reviewed all of the documents provided including the photos and determined the variances in color, etc. are natural and a part of the overall beauty of granite. Meritage Homes warranty team is not available on the weekends as clearly stated within the homeowners manual.  If the complainants wish to accept our courtesy offer of repair they are welcome to call our office at [redacted] and ask to speak with our customer service team. We will schedule repairs to take place Monday -Friday only from 8am to 4pm. They were a designer feature in the model home. This was explained to the homeowner and was not a part of their purchase...

agreement. Although the homeowner acknowledged this, they remained disappointed that the feature was not available to them. As a courtesy, our team provided the homeowner with the contact information for the third party carpentry vendor that crafted the cubbies in our model home. The homeowners contracted the vendor directly to build the cubbies in their home. The agreement was between the homeowner and the vendor, not Meritage Homes. Meritage Homes oversees and administers the new home warranty. The cubbies are an after-market installation and therefore Meritage is not responsible for payment, paint, maintenance or warranty of the cubbies. This is not a warrantable matter and therefore we do consider this matter resolved.    Best regards, Meritage Homes Corporation

Regarding the transaction that took place on February 6, 2016, it was not considered a contract, per Kevin M[redacted] & GA law; because it was not signed by both parties(binding). Therefore, by real estate standards was only an offer. I have emails to prove this fact & dispute Merritage's claim of properly handling this matter. You were blatantly unprofessional & fraudulent in cashing the check 14 days a/f receiving the appropriate notice of withdrawal & without a binding contract. You can contact my agent, Angelique Tate, to further confirm the facts I've stated in my complaint. I've attached the email correspondence to corroborate the facts which negates Meritage's claims. I look forward to resolution of this matter & the requested items mentioned in my original complaint. Have a blessed day!
