Morries Chippewa Valley Mazda Reviews (66)

I was looking to purchase my first car through Morries. It was a 2008 ford fusion and I love it.When I was filling out the paperwork for my loan application I stated to the rep that I had just received a raise at my current job and that it wasn't going to show on any of my pay subs. He told me that it was okay and that I was to put down what I was currently making. As a first timer I had no idea what I was doing so I listened to him. After spending four hours and filling out all the paperwork I was told that I was approved with a down payment of $1039. I paid the money that was requested and it was taken out of my account. I thought that I was approved.. I signed all the paperwork. The car was in my name and so was the registration. I took the car home that night and had it for three weeks until I got a call stating that I had made false claim of my income and that I needed to bring the car back. When I got there they told me that the pay stubs that I handed in were not showing what I put on my application. I asked to see all the paperwork and some parts weren't even in my hand writing. He stated that he had tried to go through many different banks but no one was approving me. When I looked at the paperwork again they had added another $1000 to my sticker price. No wonder why banks weren't approving me. The car wasn't work $10800. They said that they gave me 2500 for my trade in but they really didn't because of the extra 1000 they added on. After looking at the paper work they said that I either needed to pay another 1000 dollars down or I was going to be charged 300 to get the car back on the lot. I told them that was unfair so they gave me another 500 for my trade in and I paid another 500 out of my pocket. They still didn't take the 1000 off the sticker price but my loan value was a 1000 dollars less so I was able to get approved. The whole thing was just so wrong to me. I don't understand how they can do that. Nothing in my contract stated they could take the car back. It all stated the sale was finalized. I will never go back there. This was a horrible experience..

I purchased my used vehicle from here and have nothing but a smile on my face. Sales people are courteous and very little pressure. I am sure negative experiences are few and far between. Couldn't be happier with my vehicle and the way I was treated.

Review: On 11/27/16 we purchased a 2007 Kia Sportage. As we were looking at the vehicle I asked about some of the check marks that were on the sheet and the Sales person ([redacted]) said they check many of these all the time and they don't really mean anything. We test drove it twice and I asked again about the check marks with everyone - including the sales manager who didn't know why these things were checked either - just saying that they do that with older cars. We ended up purchasing the vehicle because they act so friendly which is part of the scam. We signed the to copy of the forms, they tore off the bottom carbon copies, worked on the different forms, signing things on their line, stamping forms, and then stapled the carbon copies together in a folded packet to give us as we were walking out. Now on 2/20/16, with less than 1,000 miles that we have driven this car, the car broke down with a radiator that blew up and ruined the engine. It would now cost $4,000 to replace the engine, radiator and all the labor. When I called the shop back and told the what happened, they were not surprise and said we don't care, you signed the contract, and that's your problem but we will fix it for you for you for a lesser hourly rate of $105 / hour.

The complaint that we are filing is about the contract that I pulled out again to review. Little did we know that they had made a stamp - only on the carbon copy of the contract - that wasn't on the top copy that we signed. We would have never purchased a car with this stamped on it. After doing further research, I see that other consumers that purchased cars from them had the same thing happen - Yelp and Google reviews have said the same thing about their contracts. They are not honest with contracts and need the Revdex.com to check on how much they are taking advantage of people when signing contracts - by stamping additional things on the contract after we have signed it. We signed the top copy and then the they must have stamped something on the carbon copy as they were signing forms and stamping things after we had signed it. Our carbon copies were folded up together when they handed it to us, so that we wouldn't see it. The stamp said" Warning, This vehicle cannot be legally operated on WI Hwys and may not be safe to drive. " They had helped us fill out a license plate application, gave us keys, shook our hands, and let us drive away in a car that they determined was not safe to drive - all the time they knew that they had added this extra stamp on the carbon copy of the contract (without our knowledge) to cover the company if we got hurt. This company is NOT HONEST with contracts and they need to be investigated thoroughly by the Revdex.com and fined or put out of business for being dishonest and putting consumers at risk for their safety. -Desired Settlement: We now have a car that has an engine that blew up with an additional $4,000 cost to repair and we don't know if it is safe. It would need additional safety inspections in order to drive which will be further cost to the consumer. We did not know that they had added this stamp to the carbon copy of the contract. We cannot trust this company and want to get a refund. They should never have put us in danger like this and were dishonest to add that stamp on the carbon copy of the contract after we signed it. There is another person on Google reviews that this same thing happened to as well that the dealership put in danger. They continue to do this on contracts and they don't care if people are at risk of danger or getting hurt. They change the contract by stamping the carbon copy later - and watch them drive away with a car that they have determined is not safe. In addition to a refund, I'm wondering what the Revdex.com does with companies who knowingly put people in harms way for risks of consumer safety.

Response to Revdex.com complaint, # [redacted]On 11/27/2015 customers [redacted] and [redacted] purchased a 2007 Kia Sportage EX from us for $4699 + tax, title and license. This vehicle was sold under our Public Before Wholesale (PB4W) program. PB4W is our program where we sell cars, that may need mechanical repairs, to the public at a reduced price. This particular vehicle was inspected by a Morrie’s technician on 10/15/2015 and was found to have the following deficiencies; trunk in-op, front end play, suspension noise, oil seep, water pump seep, coolant seep and steering off center. These deficiencies were clearly noted on the Wisconsin buyers guide, displayed in the vehicle at time of sale. When Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] signed paperwork to purchase vehicle, the buyer’s guide was gone over by the finance manager, who read to the customer the list of deficiencies. There were no objections by customer to the buyer’s guide or any items that were checked as “not legal”. Per Wisconsin Statue, 35.93, chapter 139.04(5) we conspicuously disclosed on the face of the motor vehicle purchase contract prior to its execution; “WARNING! This vehicle cannot be legally operated on Wisconsin highways and may not be safe” This disclosure was read to the customer, after which customer initialed statement and signed the purchase agreement. Mrs. [redacted] called our dealership twice in the week starting 2/22/15 and spoke with our General Sales Manager. We always strive to help our customers and this situation was no different. In the first conversation, Mrs. [redacted] stated that the radiator failed on her Kia Sportage, causing the engine to blow and asked us if we inspected our vehicles. We told her that we did and read the Buyers Guide to her, again stating what problems we found on the inspection. Mrs. [redacted] asked if we would buy the car back, in which we told her that we would not. She then hung up. Mrs. [redacted] called back a day or two later and asked us again if we would purchase vehicle back. We told her that we would be happy to bring the car to our service department to diagnose problem and come up with a solution. Mrs. [redacted] declined our offer to try to find a solution.

Review: I purchased a used vehilce from Morrie's on September 26,2014. Since that date I have had it in the service department for low ties, bad windshield wipers, heater not working, mirrors not working, navigation disk not installed and vehicle feels like pulling to the left and like driving on black ice. I believed it to be due to low or bad front tires.Desired Settlement: Need my vehicle repaired. It was checked safe and working on the forms at sale. The dealer says it needs rear control arm bushings.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond. We apologize if there has been any delay accordingly, but we wanted to take time to dilligently review this customers complaint and concerns thoroughly. While we take our customer service very seriously here at Morrie's we always want to make certain that we are dilligent in our attempts to achieve ultimate customer satisfaction. The findings in this complaint are as follows.

On 9/26/14 [redacted] had purchased a 2009 Acura MDX from Morrie’s Mazda. At time of purchase, vehicle had 81,261 miles. Listed below is the timeline of service work done.

Review: We purchased a 2004 Saturn ion on September 20th we had the car less than four hours and drove it less than 15 miles and the transmission went out on the vehicle. There was no disclosure that there was any indication of issues and all was checked ok on the window sticker. The dealership claims they didn't know and offered us another vehicle on the lot. However they have nothing within the price range that is acceptable- everything they have is a much larger car or others that again don't meet inspection or have severe mechanical issues. I have been trying to work with them and have asked for a refund. I also have the state inspector involved with hoping to get some assistance.Desired Settlement: We want our money back because they have nothing within the price range that is acceptable and we don't have additional money to buy a. Different car

To

whom it may concern:We

sold a vehicle to [redacted] on 9/21/15. A few hours later the car had

a major mechanical issue. We had the customer bring the car to the

dealership to inspect. After we looked at the vehicle it was determined

that the repair was going to be of greater cost than the vehicle was

worth. The vehicle was purchased with several documents stating it

was a completely As Is sale with no exchange or return policy.

Despite the clear communication we did offer to exchange the customer into a

similarly priced car. We offered more than

10 separate vehicles including our other store's inventory she could not find a

vehicle that she liked. After attempting to find a vehicle for almost a

month we returned the customer's money to her.

Review: I purchased a VW Bettle on September 29, 2013. I received a Wisconsin temporary license until I received the title that was dated mid-October. I have since called and continued to receive Wisconsin temporary licenses, the last marked for one year! I was told that Wells Fargo was paid off by the dealership and that I should receive both title and lien waver shortly. That was in October. Then I called and it was going to be in November. Then I called again and it was going to be in December.

I finally, after many calls to [redacted], received the title which showed Wells Fargo as the lien holder. After many more calls to [redacted] at the dealership, I still have not received the lien waver from Wells Fargo. It sounds like Morrie's didn't have the right to sell this vehicle since Wells Fargo is not releasing the lien.

I paid cash and expected a title/lien waver within 15 days of the deal.

It is now February and I don't have title to my car!! This is sub-standard service and I want clear title immediately.Desired Settlement: I want Minnesota plates on my car that show that I own the vehicle.

Response:

[redacted], we first and foremost want to apologize it has taken so

long to get this matter resolved. Unfortunately the oversight on our half has

caused you to lose faith in our practices. Please be assured the lien release

has been processed and mailed out to you. Again, we are truly sorry for the

oversight and will take this matter to our staff for further staff training.
