We received a letter today, 6/28/16 from Mulligan Funding with a credit card attached. This was an actual card with an account number offering us credit up to $500,000. The activation date was written as 6/16/16. We called Mulligan Funding and Molly C told me that it did not say it was activated, but it did! She said they received our name from Dun & Bradstreet. This does not give you the right to send us a card to get credit. We did not authorize this card and we want you to remove my & my company's name from your list.
Also, they mis-spelled my last name using the first letter as a B instead of a V.

Dear SirThank you very much for drawing this complaint to our attention.  We're very sorry that this merchant felt concerned about receiving our mail and the offer for funding which it contained.  We're also particularly sorry that the merchant failed to notice the bold comment in the body...

of the mailer, as well as the wording on the check itself, making it clear that this was not a real check.  We had no intention to cause any distress and regret the fact that it appears to have done so.  This is not a scam of any sort - but rather an attempt to provide much-needed working capital funding to many thousands of small and medium sized business owners throughout the country, who need that funding in order to grow and develop their businesses.Having said that, we will certainly ensure that this merchant is removed entirely from our mailing lists and receives no further solicitations from us in the future.  Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused.Regards,[redacted]

As requested by the merchant, I have immediately removed their details from our mailing database and the business will not receive any further mail or contact from us.  I have refrained from contacting the business by phone in order to give them the assurances set out below, since they specifically requested that we don’t do so. 
 
However, I do wish to assure this merchant that the mailing they received poses no risk at all to them.  No application for finance on behalf of the business has ever been received by Mulligan Funding.  There is no active account and never has been with Mulligan Funding in the name of this business.  No unauthorized credit has ever been or would ever be advanced in the name of this company.
 
I trust this resolves the complaint to the customer’s satisfaction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  It was unsettling that the unsolicited mail sent to me had ACCOUNT CONFIRMATION and ACCOUNT HOLDER ACTION REQUIRED along with an account number assigned to my business. The mailing also stated that they had sent within the last 30 days a new Mulligan Merchant Cash Card for the account and according to their records it had not yet been activated.  Very disappointing business practice in my opinion.

Its been about 4 years that my three businesses have had an outstanding working relationship with Mulligan Funding LLC.They have been very prompt and helpful as and when needed and I would without any doubt recommend them for their services.

real check.  We will certainly investigate ways in which we might be able to make that even clearer in the future, to assist people in this position in understanding that it's merely an offer for business financing. In the meantime, we've removed this business from our mailing list in order to ensure that the complainant isn't troubled by receiving mail from us in the future. Regards
