C Spire will stand by its original response.  Warranties are not applicable to damaged phones.  We will be glad to work with our customer on repair cost allowances.

C Spire did not receive the device that Ms. [redacted] returned.  Therefore, we have credited $[redacted] and hope this compromise resolves the issue.

Prior to March of 2014, Mr. [redacted] was on a plan that shared minutes but had unlimited data.  C Spire reserves the right to limit throughput speeds to protect it's network.  This is stated in our terms and conditions as listed below:
C Spire reserves the right to (i) limit...

throughput or amount of data transferred, deny Service and/or terminate Service, without notice, to anyone it believes is using the Service in any manner prohibited above or whose usage adversely impacts its network or service levels, and (ii) protect its network from harm, which may impact legitimate data flows. 
After this was done to Mr. [redacted], he changed his plan to a metered data plan to avoid this from happening again.  He has since moved back to an unlimited plan with no issues.
C Spire will issue a one time credit of $** for the inconvenience he had during this time and hopes this resolves the matter.

Mr. [redacted] was only charged a late fee once.  When his next bill came out, it did show this amount still in the past due amount but also showed it credited in the current amount.  The total bill was corrected.  This is a bill presentation issue and is being addressed by our billing...

vendor.  The amount was credit again in error.  However, we are leaving this additional credit on the account given the confusion we caused Mr. [redacted].  This issue should now be resolved.

I am rejecting this response because:
 The issue is a defective phone not a damaged phone. There were ample opportunities for the issue to be resolved before the tiny crack appeared. Now that there is a crack, the story is it can't be repaired.  This is a cop out for having provided me a defective device. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years and I am simply asking for an issue to be rectified, but Cspire is making every excuse not to assist. You all would rather lose a good customer and gain highly negative publicity than correct a documented mistake.

Ms. [redacted] does have a $[redacted] line of credit on her account.  We regret if this wasn't clearly communicated.  However, the reason her phone was temporarily turned off was because her bill remained unpaid.  Her first bill of $[redacted] was due to be paid on September 20th.  When it...

was not, she was billed again on September 30th.  This was what caused her account to go over the credit limit.  There was no $** porting charge.  C Spire does not charge a customer to port their numbers.
 
However, if Ms. [redacted] would still like to return the phones and disconnect her lines, we will honor our 30 day guarantee.  She can return those to a local store or ship them directly to:

If she returns these to the store, I need to be notified of where.  At that time, we will refund her account all of the charges.

Ms. [redacted] had 2 accounts with C Spire that were written off for bad debt in 2012.  There is no fraud involved as billing information with detail was sent prior to end of this relationship.  C Spire continues to attempt to collect this debt.

According to our information, this amount has been credited and there is now a $0 balance.  We hope this resolves this matter.

its network or service levels, and (ii) protect itsnetwork from harm, which may impact legitimate data flow.This occurred in May of 2014.  C Spire has since worked with Ms. [redacted] to move her to one of our current metered data usage plans.  C Spire is no longer actively offering unlimited.  Due to the usage patterns of Ms. [redacted], she would need to remain on a metered plan.  Thank you, ...

C Spire has contacted Mr. [redacted] to better understand his issue.  He has refused to speak with us in detail.  We cannot work on this further without his cooperation.

Mr. [redacted]'s phone was non-functional and would not navigate to the home screen.  This is not necessarily a software issue and could be caused by liquid damage to the device.  His phone was out of warranty and we offered his options one of which would have been an insurance replacement...

device.  According to the notes on the account, Mr. [redacted] did not want to pay the deductible.  On the day after this complaint was filed, Mr. [redacted] did upgrade his device.  
While there were some terms stated to him, these were conditional on the device when we saw it.  After we examined the device, we could not abide by these terms.  Mr. [redacted] now has a new working device and we hope this matter is settled.

When a customer leaves C Spire, the service continues through the end of the billing cycle.  This is why this temporary number was assigned.  One week after Ms. [redacted] porting [redacted] out, she ported it back in.  This caused a problem with our billing system and the...

temporary number that should have disconnected on 8.22.  We have credited the charges of $[redacted].  However, the late fee was a result of the remaining balance that is still past due.  We hope this resolves this situation.

Ms. [redacted] purchased devices with C Spire in April of 2014.  They were purchased as substantial discounts with the agreement that she would keep these active for 2 years.  C Spire offers a 30 day period in which a customer can try the service and return the equipment with not risk....

 Ms. [redacted] did not exercise this option.  However, due to her issues, we will be glad to waive any early termination fees tied to these discounts if she will return the devices.  She can contact [redacted] at 601-[redacted] to arrange this return.

This issue was resolved directly with Mr. [redacted] on December 18th.

I am rejecting this response because: The only reason that I didn't return the phones within the 30 days was because the original issue I had was resolved. Only after that did I realize that I would have additional issues (ie: not receiving texts/phone calls). In the beginning, it didn't happen enough for me to take the required time out of my work day to get a resolution. When it became an issue with my husbands work, that's when he called for a resolution. No one ever called him back. Then we started having the problems again to the point that it was affecting his work. As I have already stated, the reason we signed up for an additional 24 month contract was because my phone was no longer working (would not turn on) and I was still in the original 24 month contract. it was cheaper for me to sign up for another one than buy a new phone or switch service. I no longer have the phones from C-spire. When I was told that they would not give me back my termination fee, sending the phones back was not an option. I have since given the phones away because they are of no use to me. I would like my money back.
