wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolvedIn the future it may be in the best interest of NALN to communicate the resolution of these types of business transactions to the customer so that further negative complaints are not made against your businessI had actually considered referring a friend to NALN until I was left hanging and not knowing the answers to my questions

Problem: after month of dealing with this company to refinance my loan everything went through but there is a discrepancy with the amount of the payoff and the amount financed. I am being told after the fact that the anti-theft insurance costs an additional $499 and that is why there is a difference. Nowhere in the paperwork does it state that the cost is $499. When I brought this to the attention of my loan officer, I was attacked personally via email being called a "sg" who only wanted a low rate and the reason for predatory lenders.Desired Outcome: I want to be refunded for the anti-theft.

Regards,
[redacted] I am extremely disappointed with NALN's response to my complaint.  At the outset, NALN offers that I reduced my interest rate, and didn't have to make a payment until August.  First, any savingsI might have received have been negated by NALN's representative fraudulently signing me up for two services - neither of which I agreed to.  Second, NALN has done little to respond to the specific complaints I have made.  Specifically,, NALN claims that it sent a check to [redacted] Federal for the cancellation of the GAP.  NALN did not say when it sent the check, nor did it say how much the check was worth.  Further, I spoke with a representative from [redacted] yesterday, September 15, and was told that NALN's policy is not to send money to the lender it sold the loan too, but to send a check to the consumer.  NALN"s response flies in the face of this.  I have not received a check from NALN, and as of this evening neither has [redacted] Federal according to a representative of the organization. Moreover, when I spoke with a representative about the cancellation of the GAP insurance, I was told that I would receive 94% of a refund, and that $50 would be subtracted as a cancellation fee.  I should receive a 100% refund of the $800.  As I have said before, I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR GAP INSURANCE.  My name was signed to a paper without my permission.  In addition, NALN"s responds that the Auto-Theft protection was non-cancellable and that it has paid out thousands of dollars in claims.  This does nothing to address my complaint.  First, the signature on the Auto-theft protection form is not mine.  I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR AUTO-THEFT PROTECTION.  Moreover, even if I had signed up for it, there is nothing on the form that says that I would be charged $499 for the service, thus, I did not contract with NALN or any other company to pay $499 for Auto-theft Protection, nor was I told by anyone the cost of the service.  I only learned the cost of the service when  I called to find out how I had been signed up for it.  Thus, I would like NALN to address BOTH of these issues: (1) that I did not sign up for the service; and (2) that there is nothing in the document saying that the service cost $499.  Again, I am requesting a full refund of the monies that were paid for the Auto-Theft protection.  Still more,  the loan officer who assisted me was generally dishonest, and NALN has not responded to this complaint.  He asked for my personal checking information so he could deposit money into my account.  Also, when I initially spoke to the loan officer about obtaining a loan with NALN, I told him that I did not want to apply if my name would be submitted to more that one lender.  The loan officer assured me that my information would not be submitted to more than one lender.  When I checked my credit report, I found that my name had in fact been submitted to more than one lender.  Thus, my credit was negatively effected.  I expect NALN to address these issues.  The only satisfactory resolution to this issue, and the only fair and equitable resolution is a full refund of the $800 for GAP Insurance and the $499 for the Auto-theft protection.

[redacted] we apologize you feel the way you do.. Rest assured that we work with over 25000 consumers across the United States on a monthly basis and the complaint you has not been common.. If you would like to reach out to me directly to discuss please give me a call at [redacted].Thank you[redacted]

We unfortunately are not able to remove an inquires from a consumers credit if they provide us their mother's maiden name which is a pre-requisite to run credit. Even though [redacted] owes significantly more than her vehicle is worth we would be willing to offer her a loan without GAP Coverage. Please call me directly at [redacted] x[redacted]. [redacted]

Mr. [redacted]...If you would like to talk please give me a call at [redacted] x[redacted] and we can discuss options for refinancing your loan. We do value an opportunity to do business with you...  Thank you [redacted]

As I indicated in my complaint, the solicitations from this company were instigated without my involvement or permission and they are most unwanted.  I refuse to provide this unscrupulous company with my social security number and see no reason why they claim it is necessary.  There is no valid reason to give them any part of my social security number and I feel my safety would be jeopardized by doing so. Of course, this is what I stated in my original complaint, so I assume my complaint has been utterly disregarded by this business.
Regards,
[redacted]

I believe we have provided an answer to your complaint as we do not charge up-front fees for our service to the over 10,000 people on a monthly basis we work with.  Old Loan: Interest Rate: 8.35% - $403.00 / month x 70 months left= $28210 New Loan: Interest Rate: 3.59% - $361.22 / month x 72 months = $26007.84 (No payment for 90 days) You saved over $2000.00 I apologize for any frustrations you may have but when I look at the particulars of your “Old-Loan vs. New Loan” you saved a significant amount of money… Thank you [redacted] [redacted]

Unfortunately, the proper financing was not available as his pay-off with his current lender was $3000 more than value of his vehicle. Many of the 10,000+ consumers we work with on a monthly basis appreciate coverage options in case of an accident or in the event their vehicle gets stolen and not recovered. We apologize we are unable to make him happy. The complaint is NOT that NALN didn't ultimately deliver the loan, although to date the old auto loan is STILL not paid off nor do we have the promised excess cash. The complaint was in regards to NALN's lack of communication and failure to respond to phone calls, e-mails, and texts and to keep us advised of what was happening and the length of time involved in the process. So far this process has taken over 4 weeks and we are still in limbo. Although we were told we would not have to make another payment until December 22, we had to make a payment to the old finance company to protect our credit and another payment is now due with no resolution YET! although NALN says it has been funded.

Not only has this business failed to suggest any "proposed action" they might take to remedy or compensate for their egregious conduct,  but their response is virtually incomprehensible.   I suggest this business employ a translator so that standard English can be used to communicate.

We needed a clearer copy of her Driver's License, registration and her latest paystub. We received this on October 5th, 2015 and the loan has been funded. Thank you for the business...

In the first paragraph [redacted] states that gap and theft was included and part of the loan even after I told him I had a theft protection policy and you can not file on two policies for the same thing and in his second paragraph he states they are not license to sell insurance which gap and theft is insurance and he goes on to say I would have to deal directly with the credit union but was not told who are how to get in touch with them. It appears this is more about selling gap and theft protection than It is about refinancing. If [redacted] would listen to the recordings as they indicate they make he would know I was not interested in lowering my payments to I was wanting to lower my interest and pay my car off sooner not extending the note. The loan officer said it showed I owed 51 payments and I told him that was incorrect and I called the bank to confirm and called him back. I was offered a 48 or 60 month note and I told him I was interested in 36 or 42 as I only I we'd 43 payments at the time and I was not given a quote for 36 or 42 months like I asked. Common since if you lower your interest and do not extend your note you shouldn't wind up Po acing more for your car. You can not do a 43 month note but you can do a 36 or 42 which Is what I asked for. I am not happy with [redacted] and his lies. The recordings will speak for themselves.  I only called back and talked to [redacted] because your Web Page said I should call and I inform them that I was planning on filing with the Revdex.com. To me this company is more about extending a note and selling gap and theft insurance even though [redacted] claims they are not license to sell insurance.  This is about making your note longer so they make more money and dragging people's credit score down.  They did not have the correct information on how many payments I owed and did not believe me when I told them I didn't owe that many payments they told me that's isn't what the information they had said so I called the bank to confirm and called them back but was never given a quote for what I asked for. They did not explain the gap and theft add on until after they ran my credit.[redacted]
