After a phone conversation with the customer,today, 7/21, a voucher was issued for a free GRE retestThe situation has been resolved

Dear [redacted] ***, I have received your email and Revdex.com complaint regarding the reporting of your test scores to your respective universitiesI contacted all the universities today [redacted] **) and all the schools have your scores in their systemThe representative from [redacted] said that when the university receives the electronic score file, it can take up to to weeks for the file to get uploaded in their systemI have also ordered a score report to be sent to [redacted] University todayThe scores will be sent in the next electronic reporting cycle which should occur this Friday after 3pmI hope that this information is helpfulIf you have further questions, please contact meSincerely, [redacted] GRE Test Taker Advocacy Consumer’s Original Complaint: I ordered my GRE scores to be sent to multiple universities ( [redacted] are the ones that I actually need delivered, though I did request others when I was considering other universities)The test itself cost $and you get "free" reports to universities with thatI selected as part of the four: [redacted] , CMU, and [redacted] I recently got an email from [redacted] that my scores were never receivedI had the same issue with [redacted] a month priorI contacted them about [redacted] and was told they were sending the scores and they would be there in weeksNow I'm concerned [redacted] never got themAs for [redacted] I ordered those scores online (tried multiple times actually, just in case!)Since the website kept telling me that I'd already submitted a request for my scores to be sent to [redacted] I took that to mean they'd actually processed my requestI don't think they didI have had to email all the universities I applied to to let them know there was a mess up regarding my scoresThey were understanding since apparently this happens fairly often, according to themConsumer’s Desired Resolution: I would like two things done to resolve this: I want those scores to be delivered ASAP to the above schoolsExpress mail/overnight preferablyThese universities need those scores, and I don't want them to have to wait because ETS didn't send them the first timeI want a refund ($27) for each of the scores I requested with the testSo that would be a refund of $I'm not asking for a refund of the full testI am also willing to pay $to ETS if it means they will ACTUALLY process my request for the scores to be sent to [redacted] I would also like those scores to be sent ASAP to [redacted]

Therefore, a registrant is confirming, before paying, that they have read all policies and procedures set forth in the GRE® Information and Registration BulletinAs previously mentioned, page of the Information and Registration Bulletin, as well as on the website, www.ets.org/gre, it states, "The name you use when you register must exactly match (excluding hyphens, accents and spaces) the name on the identification (ID) documents that you will present on the day of the testIf it does not, you may be prohibited from taking the test or your test scores may be canceled after you take the test." In addition, it also states, "If your online account has already been created, please confirm that the name on your ID documents still matches the name that appears in your account (excluding hyphens, accents and spaces)." Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This business has so far refused to make an effort to even work out a resolution.I waited for their investigation and received no responseFinally, I called the number listed for an update and talked to customer service who gave me more "tail chasing" answersThe final answer was that once you've paid there if are any issues whatsoever(at their discretion) before, during, or after testing you are disqualified with no re-testing or chance of any full or partial refund(contrary to what I've read in the Revdex.com case histories)*Please keep in mind this is my THIRD TIME taking the test and the first time I've been rejected to sit for the test.* Furthermore, when refunding or credit toward another test was mentioned (as I discovered was possible here on Revdex.com) I was told that was the "scheduling department's issue, and I would have to call them" Unfortunately, we the people are forced to use ETS as they have become a monopoly in reference toward TOEFL testing, which is a requirement to further my education and career.Thank you for your time.Regards, [redacted]

Please see our customer response below: From: Test Taker Advocacy [ [redacted] ] Sent: Wednesday, May 04, 3:PMTo: [redacted] Subject: Revdex.com Case #: [redacted] ( [redacted] ) [Incident: [redacted] Dear [redacted] ETS was notified by the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) that you submitted a complaint regarding the discrepancy with your identification which was presented at the test center for your April 30, Praxis test administrationYou mentioned in your complaint that you contacted ETS on January 6, regarding changing your name on your profile as you were unable to make the change on your own We have the documentation from this contact with our customer service departmentYour original Praxis registration under ID [redacted] reported score under [redacted] up to your February 18, test adminWith your understanding that a new profile needed to be created due to your recent name change, you created a new registration under ID [redacted] in January of During your transaction with the agent, you advised the staff of this newly created ID, and you were provided with assistance to create a temporary password so that you could successfully access your new accountThis new account is active because you have since registered for exams with admin dates of January 30, February 23, March 26, and a scheduled date of May 14, Scores have also reported under this new ID which have since been reported to you and your score recipients The ID discrepancy we found was as a result of a newly added registration for April admin under your old profile which you have not used since It is important to note that agents cannot change names on test takers’ accounts for any reasonFor security reasons, names cannot be changed after a registrationIt is due to this fact that no activity was done on the [redacted] ID and the assistance was granted to access your account under the new [redacted] ID which as you mentioned in your complaint, the agent verified to be correctYou have since accessed this account which you have successfully used since that interaction with the agent When you recently logged into your old account to register for the April exam, you had to use your old user name and password since this is different from your new accountThe old registration brought up your maiden ( [redacted] for this [redacted] ID which confirmed that there was no change done to this account and this could have prompted that there was another account with your married name and more current While we understand your concern for a refund, ETS still has an obligation to pay for the unused reserved seatTest centers are third-party entities which administer our tests locallyWe reserve seats in advance and we are contractually obligated to cover the administrative costs whether or not the test takers take the examsIt is for this reason a refund is not warranted for this errorWe make every effort to inform our candidates of test requirements prior to the test date to ensure a smooth operation on test dayWe advise our test takers of acceptable id requirements, [redacted] so that issues such as this can be avoided Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns, and if I may be of further assistance, do not hesitate to contact me Regards, [redacted] H***, Advocate Educational Testing Service (ETS) Test Taker Advocacy Department Praxis Services

No one except those who either no longer need it, or made a mistakeYou are taking advantage of what you know will be a circumstance out of the control of the applicant Second of all, the below pasted paragraph is straight off of your websiteIt contradicts your ridiculous explanation of where the money goesIn short, you do not even advertise a cancellation fee, you simply say we won't give you 50% of your money backThere is no cancellation fee, there is simply you stealing 50% of my money for a service you did not provideYou cannot tell me you needed to keep $of my money to "cover expenses for processing registration and holding space at the test center"I held the space for what? days? And you have weeks to fill that seatYou are a bogus not for profit and have been reported to the IRSYou may not give me my $100, but I will make sure you lose 10x that amount for your unscrupulous business practicesWhat you are doing is not right, periodA reasonable cancellation fee would be appropriate, taking half of woustudents $and not even having the guts to call it a cancellation fee is not If you cancel your registration no later than four days before your test date, you will automatically receive a refund equivalent to half of the test feeFor example, the deadline to cancel a Saturday appointment at a testing location in the United States is TuesdayThe remainder of your payment will be retained to cover expenses for processing your registration and holding space at the test center Regards, [redacted] ***
