National grid came and turned our gas on, but not to the level it was at before, as our burners barely work on the stove top. We need this...

You cannot keep telling me it is going to be 60 days. In modern day technology, you can make a phone call to someone in processing and figure out where I am in the line. I am concerned my credit will be affected by this since your company does have my social security number. It has been over 45 days, I should have a better update than "within 60 days".

the meter for this unit was tested on June 9, 2015 and the results indicate the meter is functioning properly. Additionally in your complaint you indicated there were no wiring problems at this location.  National Grid is responsible for the meter working properly we would not be able to explain how the electricity was consumed.   Consequently it is the company's position that you would be responsible for the bills rendered.I have attached the meter reading history for your account due to your reference regarding the index readings on the meter. If you have any questions or need additional information, please call Customer Service at 1-[redacted] available Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm or, for your convenience, visit us at www.nationalgridus.com. Sincerely,National Grid

The billing practices of this organization are still atrocious I have to call up every month now to give them my credit card number..

Tell us why here...The customer was under the wrong account we had the customer on the first floor.  However, those ccharges were canceled and we put the customer on the 2nd floor but we will need to see a lease to show us date of responsibility as to when they took over the 2nd floor...

I have reviewed your complaint and account.
you first issue was with the amount of your bill and I do see that your usage is quite high- average bill is 283.00 over the last 12 months.  I do not know if your residence is electric heat or not but that could explain at least a...

portion of why you bills are high-  electici heat uses quite a lot of power and can be very expensive.  if you do not use electric heat (or space heaters) and live in a apartemnt complex it is possible that your meter could be servicing another unit.  unfortunately National Grid cannot check this for you.  if you are concerned  that your meter may be serving other areas or units and your landlord does not allow you to have an electrcian check then you can call the local Board of health to see if any type of code violation exisits.
as for your agreement.  I would like to applogize that you were not informed that the account was coded as cash only due to the prior returned items this spring.  I am more than happy to place you on a new plan.  However any new plan has to include your current charges and as I mention before those average at 283.00 per month.  your balance now is $2,120.02  and so if we split that into 12 installments.  that would be 176.66 PLUS the 283 average current bills  for total plan of  459.66 per month.
if that is too expensive a plan for you to afford then I have 1 other option for you.  I see you are on our low income rate which qualifies you for our AMP or arrearage management program.  in this program you would pay only your average current bill of the 283.00 and each month you make a payment a portion of your balance would be forgiven.   the plan is a 1 time offer and so if you complete or default from the plan you may not enroll in this program again.
I will place a 2 week hold on you account so that you may call our contact cetner at 1[redacted] and speak to a representative about these two options I have provided.  your acocunt will be noted and you can enrol in the plan that best fits your needs.

I have contacted an attorney with regard to this complaint. You, in fact,have our correct information because you send us mail there once a month. So, you were well aware of our correct address. In fact, when we first contacted you about this, you sent us a one page bill as so called verification and you sent it to the correct address!  That, by the way, does not comply with Fair Debt Act. I will be filing a  complaint with the [redacted]s office.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by National Grid USA regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: They have not taken steps to resolve it.  They do not care about endangering the life of an infant.  They will only respond to...

problems after the fact, after there has been explosions or death.  They don't care about prevention.  Since they have a monopoly in NYC for natural gas, they don't have to care.  They just care about collecting your money.

I didn't request an apology in this complaint-merely a reasonable explanation. Why was a complaint to the Revdex.com necessary to have my most reasonable request honored? Since you at National Grid obviously have such contempt for your customers and hold us in such low regard-I will treat you with the same contempt and lack of respect in allfuture dealings that I should have with your representatives from this day forth.
