Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The reason why I do not accept this proposed action is that in the conversation I had with the agent, I never heard him say I had 24 hrs to cancel, because if I had heard that I woukd have never done business with tjhis company.

I would like national student services to send me a copy of my voice recording of my agreement to all the terms and conditions of the third party business. If NSS will show me proof of my agreement with understanding and acknowledgement, I would be happy to accept that response and go away with peace of mind.

Dear Mr. [redacted]

Your complaint about Natinnal Student Servicing has reached my desk.

I have reviewed your information and spoke with those involved with the

exception of the representative you said was rude and unprofessional but

you were unable to name him or her. I have read your response to the Revdex.com

and will answer your points below:

1. Each of our Counselors has been thoroughly trained and would not act in an

unprofessional manner even if being pressured with demands they can not grant.

The only reason they might hang up on an individual is that individual would not

accept their word about a procedure or policy and began insistence. Our counselors

are are well trained professionals and here only to assist, with their knowledge and

training, our clients to get the right program for the needed consolidation.

2. Our [redacted] form has been accepted by Federally Approved Lenders

and the [redacted]. Sometimes in an effort to

expedite for a client we have made a copy from a copy and due to the slight fade it

may not appear as original type. However the lenders and servicers have always

accepted it. If yours was slightly faded due to this process, I apologize. You signed

the [redacted] on 8/26/14.

3. We have over 40 Employees and each has their own phone line plus we have 10

reserve lines so it is hard to believe it would be difficult to get in touch with us

unless you called at some unusual time or you failed to leave a message or you

expected a call during non business hours.

4. We do not resolve your issues toward getting a student loan consolidation, we

assist you by explaining what is necessary to document your background so your

loan consoladation can be approved based on underwrinting standards. It is up to

you to resolve your issues, we can not manufacture documentation for you.

5. We are here and exist solely for the purpose of helping you arrange a livable

debt, monthly payments and we provide a knowledgable professional service to do

just that within the scope of the Government’s 5 consolidation programs.

Unfortunately we have to pay our staff to perform these services so that can pay

their rent, buy food and etc.

6. We have provided consolidation services for many Veterans, who are very happy

with our services, but they finished the process and received their consolidations.

They did not quit before finishing because they felt offended. We appreciate your

service to your country. [redacted] [redacted]

[redacted] [redacted]

7. Our company has over 5,700 Clients who pleased with our consoladation services.

8. We provide professional services and we do not expect donations, but we do

expect to be paid for the time we spend providing services. Our employees are very

conscientious and do not charge unnecessary time to clients.

9. I am very sorry you changed your mind and decided to quit our process, but it was

your decision.

10. Our prices are very competitive within the industry. The reason you had to pay

a little more is that you were in default on your loans more than 240 days and were

sent to collections and needed to go thru a rehabilition process before your

consolidation could be submitted and approved. It takes our counselor’s time and

our rehabilition’s departments time to structure your rehab in addition to processing

your consoludation.

11. I have also reviewed your contract and it appears that it is you that are not

performing . You are according to the contract to provide complete information and

or documents that NSS requests. You were sent letters of request on 8/28, 10/22 and

10/26 and did not reply. Also according to the contract, you agreed to no refunds

after 24 hours.

12. Since 75% of the work has been done toward your consolidation and rehab

processing, we offered you $300, which is a 33% refund against a contract which is

a “no refund” contract. We were being more than fair with 75% done and 25%

of the work remaining.

Please contact me if you would like to get $300 inspite of the no refund

contract you agreed to.

Review: They charged me a high up front fee. They haven't done anything as far as I can tell. I tried to call and cancel my account. I don' t want to be charged anymore AND I want my money refunded. I can do all of this for free.Desired Settlement: I want our contract canceled. I don't want to be charge any more fees. I want the money paid to be refunded.

I signed up with National Student Servicing 2 months ago and the service has been exceptional! I spoke with an honest and very thorough sales rep and then just a few days later my application was submitted and my first processing payment is not being taken out until next month! They are fast and easy. The process takes about 60- 90 days so I am being patient but I received a call stating they are checking my application daily and will be in contact with me. I know this is a service that can be done but I tried to submit my application but they kept sending it back to me saying the docs were not filed correctly so I signed up with National Student Servicing and I have to say so far so good.

Review: National Student Servicing willingly took money for a loan that they never paid on. The company proceeded to lie about their intentions on helping, and continuously dismissed my questions about why I was still recieving emails from other companies. They falsely stated that this company is a loan forgiveness opportunity, and instead they are a company who takes advantage of customers who are attempting to make better financial decisions.Desired Settlement: I would like the money that was given to National student servicing to go to the loan at Nelnet, they neglected to pay on as they agreed.

Review: I called National Student Servicing about student loan forgiveness. They told me they could lower my monthly payments to $19.50 a month and I would continue making payments on my federal student loans and after 5 years the debt would be forgiven.

However; all they did was consolidate my student loan; which, I could have done for free on the federal student loan webpage.

I called them on 9/8/2014 and paid them $599.00 - as soon as I realized what they did I called to cancel.

However; they told me I could not cancel about the paper work was officially done being processed.

On 10/22/2014 I officially cancelled there service.

I asked for a refund because I was told one thing but provided with a completely different scenario.

The supervisor told me that was impossible because the employees read from a script.

I asked her to pull the call and she immediately became defensive and refused.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund

Response:

After reviewing the file for Miss [redacted] I believe there is some confusion as to what we do and our protocol. After reading the complaint, I see that the claims are close to but the information isn't quite correct. National Student Servicing is a service that works with our client to manage and maintain their student loans making sure that they are in the best possible program that benefit the financial both now and in the future. To start off with I would like to address the $19.50 monthly payment. That is our service fee. This is made very clear not only in the initial call but also in the compliance call that follows and it is stated on the signed agreement. The term on the loans is incorrect as well. There is no such thing as a five year term on a student loan. I can completely respect the need for the file to be cancelled if the client feels they can and would want to take on this challenge alone. However yes the work was done on the file and the payment was valid. I am more then willing to explain this myself via a telephone call.

Review: They scamed me out of over $600 in the last 6 months. Was supposed to be student debt consolidation money was a monthly note to be consolidated to the bigger loan company fed loan. Fed loan has never received a payment from them. They claim that they had my dick consolidated loan the federal loan company says different. Nothing has been payed to them, submitted to them. No consolidation has happened that they had anything to do with. When I call them they tell me a different story every time .Desired Settlement: I want a refund of all money they took from my bank account for services they never provided

I have read your response to the Revdex.com and will answer your points below:1. Our counselors are are well trained professionals and here only to assist, with their knowledge and training, to make sure our clients get the right program for the needed consolidation.2. Our prices are very competitive within the industry. It takes our counselor's time and our processing departments time to structure, package and submit your initial consoludation and your annual renewal.9. I have also reviewed your contract and it appears that it is you that are not performing. You are according to the contract supposed to pay $19.50 per month toward your up coming reapproval and renewal.10. Since your consolidation is done and and those services were paid for, that part of your contract was completed as agreed.11. In your letter to the Revdex.com you stated to them that we had scammed you for $600 this is not true. You agreed to our processing and packaging services to obtain your consoladition and you agreed to our monthly fee toward your consolidation's annual reapproval and renewal.12. We do not pay any fees to Fed Loans. Our fees are for our services for whichyou agreed to and are calling a scam after our work was performed on your behalf and you received the consolidation we submitted and packaged you for. Please contact me if you would like to get caught up on your payments as your reapproval and renewal will need to be acomplished shrotly.Sincerely,[redacted]t

The is a big pressure organization that not only cannot perform what is promised but cons you into believing they can. Takes your money and then makes sure that they never keep the contract and issue your refund when asked for it. DO NOT USE THEM. Rip off artists

Review: National Student Servicing informs consumers they are a service which will consolidate student loans and allow them to make affordable payments towards their consolidated loans in order to "PAY OFF" the student loans.

They then charge a fee which is divided into 4 payments above the "loan repayment". The problem is they are not making ANY PAYMENTS AT ALL towards the student loan. It is a BOLD LIE. I did not find this out until speaking with The Department of Education which informed me that NONE of the payments which will come through National Student Servicing will come to the servicer for the the student loans.

I had already paid the first payment and have not been successful in contacting National Student Servicing to get my money back.

I will be stopping my DEBIT card as a means of preventing them from deducting any more money from my bank account.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of what was paid to this company and a STOP to any future dealings with them. They are operating fraudulently and have duped many people according to the Department of Education representative I spoke with and according to your website.

Review: National Student Servicing sent me something in the mail claiming that they can consolidate student loans to make your monthly payment lower and to pay off your loans faster. I called to ask the representative a few questions and he told me the payments toward my loans would only be $28.70 a month, with the first 3 months being $199 installments. After thinking it over, I gave him the information he needed and initialed the documents he emailed me.

Over the next several months my credit card was being charged $28.70, which is what I agreed to. One day I received an email from the FedLoan Servicing company, who originally had my loans, letting me know I had a $35 payment coming soon. I called them immediately and asked how that was possible when I was already paying some money toward my loan every month. The representative said they haven't received any payments and advised me to call National Student Servicing to see what has been going on.

I called National Student Servicing and asked what the $28.70 was going toward and the woman said it was a monthly service fee. I told her I want my name off the list and that I want a refund back for misleading information when I signed up. She said the company can't do that.

My credit card company is willing to help me in my issue, but needs more clarification on the matter and documents that show that this company is a fraud.Desired Settlement: The company needs to refund the money they wrongfully got from me and be held responsible for their misleading actions toward consumers.

Review: I was told that this company could help me pay off my school loan by lowering my student loan payments, so I signed up with them. I was to first send them $199 for the 3 months and then my payments would only around $20 or $30 a month. After about a week they took the $199 out of my account and I realized that I could not afford for them to take this money so I contacted them and told them I wanted to cancel and wanted a refund. They told me no problem and to check my email and sign the cancellation document. So e-signed the document and then when I asked when would my refund be sent he told me I was not going to get a refund and that the document I signed stated to that effect. So when I asked to speak to someone else in charge, that person hung up the phone on me and when I tried to email another person who I had been coresponding with, the email suddenley says failure to send.Desired Settlement: I want this company to explain to the consumer that you will not get your money back if you change your mind. And I want my refund back.

Response:

I have read this complaint and I have read the noted in the CRM and also

I have listened to the recorded call and this complaint is conflicting

with what I have reviewed. The agreement is very specific and so are the

customer services representatives in their explanations . There is a 24

hour period to cancel where you can have whatever funds you have paid

returned tom you no questions asked. It is also made clear that if the

process of the consolidation is altered in any way by the client it

cancels the contract all together. All three of these factors were met.

It is not as matter of changing a mind. It is a matter of following a

protocol which is put in place. This phone call was placed to one of my

employees at 8:45 am August 20th 2015. at the end of the call it was

stated that a manager contacting the client. this Revdex.com complaint was made

the same day not long after the call. I believe it to be premature and

not at all corresponding with the file or the phone call. The client has

can meat anytime to discuss an exit strategy and review of the file.

Please contact the customer service department and ask for the Director

of Processing.

Response:

I have a great passion for this company and what we do. I have been one of those students incapable of getting the smallest thing such as a gas card because of the damage student loans left me. SO I do in fact go out of my way and educated my employees to do the same and to have compassion for the anxieties that an education can cause. When dealing with a complaint on any level I evaluate the file in all aspects not just for the the company but for the client. To make sure they were treated with respect and fairness and that what they were promised is what they received. I did just that in this case. I do feel if this action was no taken The outcome would have quite different. Sadly that respect was not given therefor resulting in a client we truly would have gone above and beyond as we do daily giving our 100%. My door is always open and I am always will to move forward. I understand the financial stress we all carry and understand that we are not always trying to pay our loans off but survive them. NJP Director of Processing

Review: National Student Servicing is a scam. I recently contacted U.S. Depart of Education due some discrepancies in my payment plan. They informed me that National Student Servicing was scam and that they are charging me a fee to consolidate my loans when they(Dept of Ed) does it for free. They told me to contact my bank and cancel all payments to National Student Servicing and to get a hold of Revdex.com. National Student Servicing has charged me $188.30 on 2 separate occasions. My bank is looking into this as well. I was told(by Dept of Ed) that I should be reimbursed. Not sure if you do that or If Lake Michigan Credit Union does?Desired Settlement: To be refunded $376.60

Review: This company claims to help people get loans forgiven. Yet, they quote a bill to deflect from sketchy practices. They claim to perform services then take credit for services not delivered. They lie about facts. They charge $400 upfront then $39 per month, will loans accrue interest. They claimed they "owned" my loan and consolidated the loan. They do not and they did not. They pretend to offer services that are actually free for anyone to perform themselves. Basically, they charged me $516 to bait and switch me with scam talk, that my loans would be forgiven in 10 years if I only make $39 per month payments to them so they could keep it in Income Based Repayment plans, accruing interest at $450 per month. The application they claimed had gone through for public loan forgiveness had not. They took my money and only switched me over to IBR... which a 10 minute phone call from me to the loan holder ([redacted] could have done... as I've done in the past for myself. I would really like help getting my refund from this sketchy, scam of a company that uses ridiculous emotional tactics, preying on people like me who are just trying to get good advice.Desired Settlement: I'd like to get my $516 refunded. That will make up for one month of accrued interest since February that they've caused me to add to my loan total, because I trusted them. They are only scammers. They abuse people.

Response:

[redacted]Client came to us to receive a program switch because her payment was too high. We explained in full detail exactly how the process works and what we were going to do. The client asked for a temporary forbearance and when we called to get that in place we received no answer she also did not respond to emails so we were not able to put the forbearance in place. We did however provide every service we offered and agreed to continue working with the client. National Student Servicing explains to all clients that we are a 3rd party providing services to clients looking to receive help with their federal loans we did exactly that for this client.

Review: I have been trying to contact National Student Servicing for 3 months now and I never get through to anyone. I have left multiple messages, emailed, and gone through every option on their voice recordings. I have not heard back. I was not clearly explained what their services were and now I can not get ahold of them to cancel my monthly payments which I no longer need.Desired Settlement: I just need them to contact me in order to further discuss options they offer so I can either cancel my monthly payments, or have them do another service for me.

Review: Hello, I'm a [redacted]. I paid $900 to NATSTUDENTSERVICES on Aug 29. I was supposed to receive a service, but the company was not cooperative. First they sent a sloppy [redacted] for me to sign, which was very un-professional and caused me to question the legitimacy of the company. So I called them to address this issue and they said they would send me another re-typed [redacted] which I never received. When I tried to ask for a refund they refused to honor a full refund. The service is poor and customer service was very rude.Desired Settlement: I'd like a full refund

Response:

Mr [redacted] enrolled with National Student Servicing on August 26th 2014. Early September he had asked to cancel because he wanted to negotiate independently, we explained that we would be unable to issue a refund due to the fact that we already began working on his file at which point Mr [redacted] agreed to continue. At this point we were awaiting on documents from Mr [redacted] which he never returned. We sent a daily email reminding him that we needed these documents so we could get his loan out of default. When things were not finalized in October he wanted to cancel because of a document error( which National Student Servicing has no record of) he had asked to cancel with refund again in which we explained he was ineligible. Please let us know if you have any further questions

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was unhappy with the [redacted] that was sent to me. I waited for the document to be retyped because it was unprofessional. I had to call back many times to get proper service and to remind them to resolve my issues they are ver hard to get in touch with. I feel like this service is un-professional and I no longer felt that I could trust this company. They offered a $300 refund which to me was unacceptable to me because thats 1/3 of what I paid and there were still documents pending which means there wasn't much work that was done. I called back in October and also I explained to them there prices were ridiculous I felt like they didn't honor there contract and I deserve a refund there representative became furious he started talking really loud and he had a bad attitude. Im in the [redacted] people can live freely, and Im just trying to get out of debt so I can have a better future for me and my family and seriously this company really has literally almost got me in tears I'm not rich and if I pay for a service I expect to hold that company to the upmost standard. This company hurt people more than help they try to take advantage of the less fortunate which is very sad. This company needs to seriously get looked at for business practices and really set forth a standard because they have none there. I wouldn't just make up a complaint if it wasn't true I have to much integrity for that I've earn every last dollar in the through blood, sweat, and tears I wouldn't just want to give my money away

Review: I was approached by National Student Servicing almost a year ago regarding loan consolidation. They told me the terms and failed to abide by them.

I consolidated both my student loans, and my wife's student loans. My wife's loan terms were supposed to be as follows:

97 month = 8 years

$1,089.82 = $105,712

But in reality after the consolidation was completed, the terms were as follows:

360 months = 30 years

$560.40 = $201,744

The representative I was working with, [redacted] has failed to communicate with me on numerous accounts and even admitted my emails with confidential information was going into her spam folder. It wasn't until I raised incredible amount of concern she noticed. She fails to respond to emails and phone calls. Her title at National Student Servicing is "[redacted]". National Student Servicing also charged $500 for this process. Prior to collecting the money, they were easy to contract. The moment they charged my credit card, they were impossible to reach.

I am now stuck with a very difficult repayment option due to National Student Servicing lack of communication and negligence. They kept blaming the loan servicer and the loan servicer had no idea what was going on. I was even told by [redacted] to "not worry about repaying the loan until this is sorted and that I should spend my money during the holidays". I have since accrued over $2,000 in interest due to her poor advice. I have since asked [redacted] to drop any pending action she was doing and allow me to pay the amount to avoid further damage.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund. National Student Servicing charged $500 to complete the consolidation. They have caused nothing but stress and ruined the terms for repayment for me and my wife.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Their response seems to be very generic and states their policy. The problem is that the terms that were discussed was not what actually happened. This complaint occurred more than a year ago and the damage is irreversible. The lease I can ask for is a refund on the money I paid for their services since I would not want them dealing with my affairs any more. Furthermore - I am worried that they are insecurely keeping my confidential information which is another issue all together - I know this because I have gotten strange emails asking me to provide an updated credit card number. Why on earth would I give them my credit card number? ]

Review: I received a phone call from National Student Servicing to consolidate my student loan and during this conversation, I was briefly explained about their service to reduce my loan monthly payment and I agreed to pay [redacted]$ for their 1 time only service fee according to National Student Servicing and $** monthly fee was never mentioned to my attention until last October I received an e-mail from this company ask me to pay this $** per month for the life of loan. Four months ago, I called this company to cancel this service because I don't save money as it was explained to me.

Today I was threaten to deal with with collection agency about this $** monthly fee based on the document that were marked with my initial that I did not know and I haven't received this document at all.Desired Settlement: Please help me to result this issue before it goes to collection agency.

In

regards to the Processing Fee National student servicing did not charge $[redacted] paid the standard $[redacted] processing fee. The explanation was far from brief

and the enrollment call took over an hour. The $[redacted] dollar service fee was

was receiving the monthly services during this time of no payment. We work very

hard on making sure every client is serviced properly and do require payment

for our services Best Regards [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[This **$ fee was never brought to my attention and I never received any form of letter or statement from this agency, also I did not put my initial to agree with the detail on the contract as you see it because I don't know how to write my initial using the computer. I call to cancel the whole process because I found out I won't save any money. According to the payment schedule, my payment increases every year regardless my income, so please cancel it.]

Review: I had started receiving emails and phone calls from [redacted], a Senior Loan Consultant from this company. He had also sent pages to my phone which costs extra and is billed for additional charges. I had responded to his 2nd or 3rd email telling him to take me off the list and to stop contacting me in regards to the services. His response back was extremely rude and the tone of the email was not professional. He basically called me a liar as to why I was telling him that I had not filled out any information and that he knew exactly what IP address it came from, etc. he also said I was clueless and that I needed to buy a clue. I have saved the emails because I am also going to forward the info onto his superior. He sent me back another email, after I had kindly said to just remove me and that it was not me that had submitted the information, etc, and continued to be rude and obnoxious. He also told me that I had been warned about contacting him. I felt that to be a little threatening.Desired Settlement: I would suggest this consultant take some etiquette classes in how to respond to an email formally and professionally. It also needs to be brought to his supervisors attention, as well, which I will be doing on my end.

Response:

Dear Mr. [redacted]

Your complaint about National Student Servicing has reached my desk.

The only reason they might hang up on an individual is that individual would not

accept their word about a procedure or policy'"and began insistence. Our counselors

are are well trained professionals and here only to assist, with their knowledge and

training, our clients to get the right program for the needed consolidation.

2. Our power of attorney form has been accepted by Federally Approved Lenders

and the Federal Government's Department of Education. Sometimes in an effort to

expedite for a client we have a copy from a copy and due to the slight fade it

not appear as original type. However the lenders and service rs have always

accepted it. If yours was slightly faded due to this process, I apologize. You signed

the Power of Attorney on 8/26/14.

3. We have over 40 Employees and each has their own phone line plus we have 10

reserve lines so it is hard to believe it would be difficult to get in touch with us

unless you called at some unusual time or you failed to leave a message or you

expected a call during non business hours.

4. We do not resolve your issues toward getting a student loan consolidation, we

assist you by explaining what is necessary to document your background so your

loan consolidation can be approved based on underwriting standards. It is up to

you to resolve your issues, we can not manufacture documentation for you.

5. We are here and exist solely for the purpose of helping you arrange a livable

debt, monthly payments and we provide a knowledgeable professional service to do

just that within the scope of the Government's 5 consolidation programs.

Unfortunately we have to pay our staff to perform these services so that can pay

their rent, buy food and etc.

6. We have provided consolidation services for many Veterans, who are very happy

·with our Services, but they finished the process and received their consolidations.

They did not quit before finishing because they felt offended. We appreciate your

service to your country. I am a Vietnam Veteran myself and fought on the front line

as a Rifleman and Point man.

7. Our company has over 5,700 Clients who pleased with our consolidation services.

The reason you had to pay

a little more is that you were in default on your loans more than 240 days and were

sent to collections and needed to go thru a rehabilitation process before your

consolidation could be submitted and approved. It takes our counselor's then and

our rehabilitation's departments time to structure your rehab in addition to processing

your consolidation.

12. Since 75% of the work has been done toward your consolidation and rehab

processing, we offered you $300, which is a 33% refund against a contract which is

a "no refund" contract. We were being more than fair with 75% done and 25%

of the work remaining.

Please contact me if you would like to get $300 in spite of the no refund

contract you agreed to.

Sincerely,

National Student Servicing
