Review: I feel that this company represented themselves as a studnet loan debt consolidation service. After I spoke with them, signed a contract to redo my studnet loans I am unable to reach anyone. The numbers provided to me and on their webiste are not vaild. The email addresses are not valid. I immediatley cancelled the debit card that I selected to pay this serivce and I am supposed to have 24 hours to cancel but do not have a way to contact this place.Desired Settlement: I want these people shut down so that they can not falsly provide services to others. They have my social security number and now I am fearful of identity theft.

Response:

National Student Servicing works hard on assuring every client is completely satisfied. We are fully complaint with every regulation set in place and monitor all calls to be sure no false statements are being made. We fully checked our system and our websites, The numbers are right and so are the emails, we don not have any missed calls or emails from the client. We did call and send her multiple emails non of which she responded to. The client never requested to cancel but if she had we would have been more than willing to let her do that.

Review: I first contacted this company in October 2015 to get help with lowering my student loan payment, they originally quoted me that they could get my loans down to approximately $160 a month which was about $100 cheaper than my lender (ACS). During the initial conversation, the representative also told me that the first 3 payments would be approximately $190, this would be $160 towards loan and $30 towards their fee. I agreed to this because it was still lower than my lender. I was told that it would take about 60-90 days for a new lender to pick up my loan. They told me not to pay anything to my current lender while this transition was in process. December 2015 rolls around and my current lender continues to call looking for payment. I call National Student Servicing to find out the status of my loans being picked up, they tell me because of the holidays that things are delayed. I call several time during the month of December and January to no avail. As of January I contact [redacted] (Manager) to cancel their service. I told him about what had been verbally stated to me on the first call and he adamantly tells me that his representative didn't say these things to me. He sends me an email with the recorded call which reveals just exactly what I had been saying in the first place. Adrian then promised me a FULL refund which I have still yet to receive!!!Desired Settlement: I desire a total refund of $626.98.

Review: I got a letter in the mail in August saying that my wages were going to be garnished if I didn't do something about it soon. So I got right on the phone with National Student Servicing because I remembered hearing about them on the internet. When I called I told them my situation and they said they can stop that from happening if I made payments to them starting right then so they started pulling money from my account and continued to do so until end of November when I got a letter from my job saying my wages were going to be garnished still. So I called [redacted](phone number [redacted]) and asked why this was happening after I was told by paying them this would be stopped. He said that the person([redacted])I talked to before gave me false information but is no longer working there. I told him I wanted a refund because they told me that they could stop this from happening and they did not stop it so the services I paid for were pointless. then he told me that the money they took out so far they are keeping and I don't qualify for a refund because it has been too long. which I think is very wrong because the reason it took so long was because as they were taking this money out of my account every month I was thinking everything was okay until my wages started getting garnished. I explained to him that is pretty much stealing my money because I paid for a service that they did not provide as they should have like I was told when I started it. He also tried to get me to continue paying them and getting my wages garnished also and that he will help me later on. I told him that isn't fair my wages shouldn't have been garnished in the first place from what this company told me. I have 2 children that I have to take care of and I can not afford to pay them both. He told me to borrow money. I feel and felt at that moment very scammed and that my money was stolen. I filed a complaint in the beginning of December but was made aware that I filed against the wrong address. I have my information on my last file.Desired Settlement: I would like my 4 payments of $91.67 refunded back to my account because they did not provide the services they told me they would and continued to take the payments out for 4 months and helped me with nothing. They only made things worse by taking $366.68 from me without anything being done about my situation as they promised. I don't think that I should have to pay for a service that wasn't provided and also was admitted to be the wrong information.

Review: I used national student servicing it get my student loan payments reduced. According to the informationthey gave me, I would pay them $149.75 a month from August 2014 through November 2014. They would pay off my total loans of & 30,185 to my loan company, at 5 he time was Sallie Mae. During the course of their action of paying off my loans, Sallie Mae changed to Navient. In November 2014 I started receiving phone calls from Navient saying I owed them money. I phoned National Student Serving multiple times and was unable to speak to a representative. Finally on December 4, 2014 I was able to speak to Autumn. After telling her about the phone calls from Navient she stated that their computer systems were down and she would take care of it, and that I was not to see d Navient any money. I didn't heare anything from Autumn, and again after multiple phone calls to National Student Servicing, I was able to once again speak with Autumn . This time she told that during the transition from Sallie Mae to Navient the files had been delayed and that it would take a few weeks for it to clear up. I tried to reach National Student Servicing again multiple times and as of today March 18, 2015, this issue has not been resolved.

In trying to see what the problem was , I checked the Navient website and found that National Student Servicing had only paid 8,000 of the $30185, they were to pay.Desired Settlement: I want National Student Servicing to pay the loans they said they were going to pay, and for which I have been making payments to them.

Review: I consolidated my student loans through this service, I have been paying them two separate payments, one for my husbands consolidation and one for mine. Later I got letters in the mail, so it looked like it was working, only for me to find out that my loans were taken over by Fed Loan and that National student services has kept my money and not been paying off my loan. Every time I try to contact them the phone hangs up on me. We have made four payments from both my husband and I in the total of $800.00 dollars. I wish there was some way for us to get that money back, since we do not have any money and that is the reason we went to these people in the first place. I just want to make sure that they can't come after me for more money since we signed contracts and they are not doing what we paid them to do.Desired Settlement: I would like all of the money that we paid them, including the fees for their so called services to be refunded to us, if this is not possible I would like them to give the money to the fed loan company in charge of our student loans, including all fines incurred from the loan company. I would also like our so called contract to be dismissed.

Response:

I will contact the client. I believe there is a misunderstanding in as the file as these notes conflict with the actual file. I will also have to confirm the number that the client is calling as I have an office full of employees and all calls are recorded and I do not hear any of them hanging up on clients. I will contact the client by the end of the business day.

Review: This company profits on people who are ignorant to how federal loan consolidation works, which can be easily done directly with the government online for free, with little to no hassle. This company offers to "interface" with the government to consolidate the customer's loans for a flat rate of about $550-650, providing no value in their service as such a process is free and requires no professional training, but their service reps heavily imply that the money charged is inherently necessary to complete the process, that it is impossible to consolidate loans for less than that amount, which is false. They also offer a service to reapply the customer's consolidated loans for re-qualification to repayment plans every year, and charge a monthly fee for the life of the loan ($28.60 per month), amounting to approximately $350 per year, which reapplication process can be done for free with little to no hassle online. They also do not do an adequate job at said service of yearly re-qualification as evidenced by the fact that soon after they were supposed to re-qualify my loans for 2015, my loans ended up going delinquent for over 60 days and almost defaulted and may have caused my credit score to go down due to this company's negligence.Desired Settlement: No report or ding on my credit score due to their involvement with my loans over the past 15 months. Refund of moneys paid for the fraudulent one-time consolidation service, and refund of the monthly payments ($28.60 per month for 15 months) for the re-qualification service that they failed to adequately provide.

It is no secret that anyone can fill out an application to consolidate

their loans, Just as it is no secret you can accomplish filing your own

taxes yourself. I however go to someone that specializes in it because I

know the job will get done better because that is what that company

specializes in. In fact I think I can pretty much accomplish on my own

what any company in the world offers. But I don't I go to people that

offer the service and can do it better. This is a case where the is as far as I can tell a misunderstanding as to what we actually do here.We manage and maintain student loans continuously evaluating them to make sure that the client is in the best possible program for their needs. New programs come out all the time, People finances are forever changing. With that said don't you think it would be great if we could adjust our financial obligation accordingly. Better yet have a professional that understands the process and what's available and the guidelines handed down that have to be followed. We are in the business of helping our client reach the financial goals they are seeking. We do not profit on ignorant people and it saddening that that word was ever used to describe our clients. We try to educate c;lints on these guidelines and process so they do have a better understanding of what they need to do on their own if they choose to exit our program. I am proud of what we do. We in fact got rid of the monthly service fee for Miss [redacted] and continued to manage her account. I in all honesty to to address the loans that are delinquent. I do not see anything that states that they were but would encourage a statement of that. If there are ever any questions or concerns we like to make sure they are addressed. We are still willing to help.

Review: I signed up for this program a few weeks ago, little did I know that this servicing agency had nothing to do with my creditor collecting for my student loans nor the US Government. I was rushed into signing a contract, and was under the assumption this agency was taking money out of my account and putting those payments forward to my student loan debt. To be exact 9 payments of $124, until October of 2015. This was not the case. I also, was told I needed to make $100/payment which I did on February 9, to begin the Rehab program with National Student Servicing. The sales reps are very misleading, and it's very discouraging to think that there are companies out there taking advantage of students! I found yesterday after talking to my actual creditor, that this was a third party non-affiliated company filling out FREE paperwork for me. I'm now being charged $55 per month in their fees alone (mind you my creditor guaranteed me for the minimum $5/mth payment Rehab program for my student loans due to my current financial situation). This "predatory creditor" (as National Student Service Agency described them as) was VERY informative, friendly, and gave me accurate information pertaining to my actual loan and what I needed to do to relieve my current student loan debt. I was directed to a manager yesterday, after requesting that they terminate my existing agreement. He was very rude and refused to stop payment. Am I obligated now to pay the $55 per month until October? This is very frustrating being a strapped single mom, just trying to pay off a debt.

I would like all documents pertaining to my student loans sent to me and service discontinued before March 11, 2015. I do not want to be billed the remainder $55/mth for services that are not required.

Review: National Student Servicing NSS contacted me in March 2014. Discussion about my student loans resulted in my agreeing to their services. After paying $675 (3 payments of $199 per month March, April, May and $39 per month June & July) nothing was done with my student loan. Phone calls were placed questioning their practices and several emails, the last being August 5th. After still not hearing from them from July 28th which the email read...

Subject: Urgent matter regarding your account

Dear [redacted]

Hello my name is [redacted], I am the director of Client Services here at National Student Servicing. Our system indicates

that you have a loan classified as an FFEL loan, the Department of Education and Fedloan Servcing had an error in processing these

loans, because of this we are required to resubmit forms and income documentation .

Attached you will find the forms that require your signature. We ask that you print and sign the documents and return them with a

proof of income (paystubs or 1040 form) at your earliest convenience, you can return them by email to

[redacted]@nationalstudentservicing.org or by fax to 949-544-1101, If you do not have access to a printer please call me as soon as

possible my direct line is [redacted] We appologize for any inconvenience this may have cause and we look forward to servicing you.

I contacted the company via phone on August 5th and spoke with [redacted] and forwarded an email to [redacted] explaining I was not being contacted regarding their services yet they kept taking my money. I contacted [redacted] this evening. I contacted NSS notifying them I was contacting the Revdex.com and [redacted] laughed and stated [redacted] nor the Revdex.com can do anything. Please help me get my money back.

Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I'd like my money refunded as [redacted] stated this is a free service and NSS is a third party taking advantage. I have several emails and can obtain my cell phone records to show I always had to phone them to inquire about my status regarding their services. I still have nothing from this company but they have $675 of my money.

Best regards, [redacted]

Response:

I am writing to you in response to a complaint that we have received. Here at National Student Servicing we work very hard to make sure every client is completely satisfied. The processor assigned to the client who made the complaint worked very hard to get all the documentation needed submitted and approved. The client has a loan classified as an FFEL loan these loans typically take longer to consolidate and I was personally calling the DOE twice weekly to make sure everything was okay with all clients with these loans. Unfortunately the Department Of Education had a processing error that affected hundreds of people including clients who enrolled with other companies like ours. All clients with this type of loan had there consolidation application canceled do to a miss-code in the system We were notified of the error and immediately began filing all new paperwork that required a wet signature. We then emailed and notified all clients the next day and mailed packets to them as well. National Student Serving informs all clients that consolidations are processed by the Department of Education and there is no clear time frame as to when it will be completed. We also inform our clients that the success of their consolidation also greatly depends on their compliance in matters such as this incident. The client did call in to question what was happening with the service at which point our operations manager explained everything. He apologized for the inconvenience and gave her a four month credit on the monthly service fee. We are still working on this case and working on getting the consolidation finalized but we need the client to comply in this matter. Thank you for your time if you have any questions please feel free to give me a call!

Have nothing but great things to say about this company, always available. I just called the 1800 number and [redacted] resolved my issues and was so nice. They lowered my student loan payments dramatically. I am so relieved I did this, my student loans were very stressful.

Review: Promises to do things that did not follow through with. Promised me my student loans were all out of default and all the statuses were brought back up to good standing. Paid over $600 processing and enrollment fee and my student loans are in a worse position now than 3 months ago when I contacted them. They have caller ID and don't answer the phones. Once I blocked my number, they answered my phone call. Have been told I'd get phone calls back from supervisors, never did. I had to block my number and call back. They told me I'd get emails showing my file being canceled, nothing. An email showing my refund was in progress, nothing. I just simply asked for a refund and was told no. If they are the number one student loan relief company as their message states when you call in, customer service and making the customer happy should be number one. They scammed me for my money and don't do what they promised.Desired Settlement: I would like to be credited for the 2 payments of $266 and the 3 payments of $28.50.

Response:

First and foremost, the client came to us with a 262 day delinquency and was not yet in default. In fact, the client had 262 days before seeking out our services in which to make any sort of payment as a show of good faith to her lender that would have stopped the threat of default. Instead of choosing to make this payment the client asked us to assist her with facilitating a consolidation of all of her Federal Student Loans. The consolidation, if successful would pay off all of her existing loans in full and create a new trade line with one single Direct Consolidated student loan that would be serviced and owned by Nelnet. The client came to us on 04/22/2015 with only 8 days to spare until her loans would be placed into the defaulted status by her lender. Of the 8 days NSS had to complete the consolidation paperwork, 6 of those days were spent waiting for the client to submit Proof of Income so we can complete the Income Driven Repayment Plan request (Required when consolidating defaulted loans [see http://loanconsolidation.ed.gov/help/faq.html and review article 12 of that page for further information on eligibility to consolidate defaulted loans]). Once we received the clients Proof of Income on 04/28/2015, it took us 5 business days to submit the paperwork on her behalf. Client kept our hands tied throughout our limited time frame due to the lack of a punctual submission of her proof of income. Not to mention, we have thousands of clients in our system and in order to best assist each of them, we have a 30 day turnover time for most cases. In this particular case we attempted to expedite our processing period and was able to complete the application within 5 business days AFTER we received all necessary information from the client. That is 5x faster than any other file we typically handle. On 04/30/2015 the client was placed into a defaulted status on 6 out of 10 of her loans. Both the consolidation application that included all 10 loans and the Income Based Repayment application were submitted by 05/04/2015. Since the client fell into a defaulted status on 04/30/2015 and the applications were submitted by 05/04/2015, the application would need to include a request for an Income Based Repayment plan (which it did) and the borrower would need to be free of any wage garnishment (which she was) for the Department of Education to successfully complete the consolidation of ALL loans, including the defaulted loans per the Department of Educations website which explains the eligibility requirement for consolidation of defaulted loans (Again, see http://loanconsolidation.ed.gov/help/faq.html and review article 12 of that page for further information regarding requirements to consolidate defaulted loans). All of the required documentation, that included all 10 of the clients loans, was submitted properly to Nelnet who was intended to be the servicer of the new consolidated loan. The Department of Education typically allows for a 30-90 day processing time in order to process any consolidation and repayment plan applications from start to finish and apply those changes to the loans. During this processing period, Nelnet successfully consolidated only 4 of the 10 total loans and the remaining 6 loans that were defaulted were accidentally left out of the consolidation by Nelnet. Nelnet responded to the mistake by stating to the client that these 6 loans were no longer eligible for a consolidation because they were defaulted. However, the 6 loans in question are entirely eligible for consolidation being that the borrower is not experiencing any wage garnishment on the defaulted loans and an Income Based Repayment plan was submitted electronically directly to Nelnet per the requirement of the Department of Education when consolidating defaulted loans. In conclusion, NSS has done to the best of our ability, everything in our power to assist the client in consolidating all 10 of her loans within the limited 8 day time frame the client gave us upon enrolling. We were able to successfully submit all paperwork, both consolidation application that included all 10 loans, as well as the Income Based Repayment plan application with the clients Proof of Income attached, by 05/04/2015. At this time 6 of the 10 loans were defaulted, yet still eligible for consolidation because there was no wage garnishment and an Income Based Repayment plan application was submitted along with the necessary Proof of Income. On 06/02/2015 the consolidation was completed by Nelnet. At this time, Nelnet failed to address the Income Based Repayment plan application that was submitted electronically on 05/04/2015 and allowed the 6 loans to remain defaulted and excluded from the consolidation, despite the eligibility for the consolidation. Multiple attempts were made to convey this information to the client, as well as an alternative rout that can be taken by the client to get these 6 loans included into the newly consolidated loan (which NSS offered to assist with). The client was not at all interested in listening to reason or understanding that the mistake was made by Nelnet and not NSS. Client also denied the advice/assistance that was offered to fix Nelnet's simple mistake. NSS performed all duties that were required of us, we did so within a timely manner, and had Nelnet processed the consolidation and Income Based Repayment plan application properly then all 10 loans would have been consolidated successfully instead of only the 4 loans.National Student Servicing

Review: I was enrolled with this company to resolve my student debt. I was contacted by the actual government debt organization and resolved the matter directly. I was told that their services were not necessary. I spoke to someone in the company and was told I would be taken out of the program and they are still trying to charge my card and now I cannot get anyone to return my call or reply to my emails. when I first enrolled I couldn't get them to stop calling. I do not want to be in this program and do not want them to charge my card anymore and want a refund for all the money that i've already paid them!Desired Settlement: I want them to never charge my card again, and refund the money they have continued to withdraw after I was told I would be un enrolled!

I have been trying to get my loan worked on with NSS for over a year and a half without any progress. Besides taking over 1k dollars from me in fees, promising me resolution and giving me false dates, all I have received for my money is the run around. It would make the most sense to me that they received their money and at the end of the day, that's all they care about. I still sit here with over 800/month being garnished from my paychecks and no resolution in site. How can I walk away with so much money and time invested?!?!?! At a complete loss for words. The lies started from the first phone call and never stopped from there. The number of account reps and supervisors I have talked with is flat out sickening. This is a [redacted] poor company with nothing but robbing the customer on their mind. [redacted] You NSS!!

Sincerely,

Jeff Williamson

(Its not like anyone's going to call me)

Review: false advertisement to get customers to sign up. It was all lies about paying off loans and they would pay them. Had me to tell them to call them. My first question to [redacted] was about [redacted], could they take care of the loan. He ( [redacted]) said yes. We have a sub-contractor. So I stop paying on the loan and got behind. I almost go sent to a collection agency. I was never told that I had to pay on the loan also and pay 39.00 for 120 months. After I made (3) payment of $225 for their services. Well, I find out the trust when I heard my so call power of attorney speaking to one of my loan person. I was so upset that I took it out on her. When I explain to her what was said to me. She understood why I was so upset. I told her to listen to the tapes of I and [redacted] conversations. So she did a investigation on the matter. It took her about a week to refund my money and let me out of the contact.Desired Settlement: To get back the money I stop paying on......$600.00

Review: I was looking online for help on my student school loan debts last month. I came upon National student servicing the people were friendly and understanding and helpful. They took a 1st payment of $124.50 on Feb. 14th and another payment on March 14th of $124.50. As days go by I come upon talking too different advisor to help me with my debt of school loans. But there never in reach. I call billing, it rings after 3 rings then disconnects. And they never return my calls. I tell them I'll call them and leave messages, they usually don't call me back or it takes them one week or two weeks to call back.Desired Settlement: No one respond to my calls or complains about business.
