Nationwide Window & Siding Reviews (88)

I had to call to confirm they were coming. They ordered a wrong side and needed to come back. I rescheduled but they canceled and rescheduled. Again I needed to confirm that they were coming. I was given a window of time for delivery. My husband took off and waited. The window of time came and went. I called and they were not aware that the job was not done. I spoke with the new Vice President who was very apologetic and promised to make it up. Worker showed up the needed to come back because he was out of material. I expressed my frustration and that the worker should have came to. my house first to finish the project. I was promised a gift certificate to be mailed. I'm still waiting, that was three months ago. When I called my calls are not answered. I would not recommend this company because of the lack of customer care.

I've been waiting for over a month for my door to be finished. No calls no one comes or gets back to me.

Review: Nationwide installed 9 windows in my residence during the month of March 2012. There were several issues with 2 of the windows, mainly the 120" Bay Window in my living room. On the first day of installation, the window was anchored, and left without a roof for approximately two and a half weeks. The roof was installed in early April 2012, and by June, the window was leaking again. Nationwide came out and alledgedly repaired the roof again. Now in December 2012, the roof was leaking heavily, and an Inspector from Nationwide was sent out to look at the window & roof to determine what was causing the leakage. It was determined that flashing was not installed, nor were the tiles installed properly. Nationwide has agreed to replace the roof, however I am seeking a credit for all the aggravation and lost time from work caused by their shoddy installation of my Bay Window.Desired Settlement: I would like the window roof to be replaced, and a significant credit for the window, as the sill now has permanent water stains due to leakage.

To Whom It May Concern,

In response to recent complaints filed by our customer, this letter should be explanation. This service appointment was set with the customer on December 17, 2013. She was unavailable for us to take care of the issue until January 8, 2014. We got to the customers house and replaced the entire roof. Attached is our signed service ticket.

This complaint was filed on January 5th, 2014, before our scheduled appointment.

If Ms. [redacted] needs any service she can contact our offices at anytime Mon-Fri 8:30am-9pm.

Review: my husband and I met with sales representative Raymond R[redacted] in August 2015 we decided to have Nationwide complete our door and porch window installation. at this time, we were told it would take 6 to 8 weeks and probably sooner. a week later we were contacted about the size of the doors. we were not told that the size they told us we could get, was not possible. please keep in mind that Raymond and well as another gentlemen measured and told us we could have the doors in size 36. against my better judgment, I continued on with the transaction. 2 weeks before the scheduled install date, I was contacted by this company to say I would not have my doors in time and the install would be after Thanksgiving. Having my entire family over for the holiday, I expressed my dissatisfaction with everything up to this point. I was then contacted by Anthony G[redacted] who then promised the we would have everything installed the day before thanksgiving. I had to follow up with him the day before the new install date, as he had not contacted me and he tells me the installers will be here between 3 and 4 pm; disgusted I continued with the order. when the installers arrived, they only had the front doors, no windows. the company was closed for the day. one of the installers called Anthony directly. He said he forgot and I now would not have my install completed. This is the worst service I have ever had. This company has the most incompetent people I have ever had speak or deal with. I am looking for compensation for my time waiting at home and I will be visiting the location this Saturday for a refund of my 2000 deposit.Desired Settlement: refund and compensation- for this record to be public for other consumers

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

I was extremely surprised at the poor quality of work that was done by the first crew that came to do the job. But with that said, I was satisfied with the way it was redone. Sometimes things are not done correctly, but the end product is what matters mostly. The management handled my concerns in a timely and quality manner. As a consumer you should always be somewhat educated for the job being done. If you are not, then I suggest watching some instructional videos that are easily found on the internet in such places like YouTube or searching in Google. We were told that the windows are guaranteed for life (including the Glass). If this turns out to be the honest truth, then I don't think you'll find any better window on the market. [redacted].

Review: I have been contacting Nationwide Windows and Siding via telephone since approximately October 26, 2015 to order a replacement sash for a broken window in my home. I have a lifetime warranty on the window issued through Nationwide Windows and Siding. I have made numerous phone calls over the weeks and have spoken to three different people there to try to get this resolved. I still do not have the window repaired or confirmation that the window has been ordered. The broken window is in my living room and it is now winter time.Desired Settlement: I would like Nationwide Windows and Siding to honor their lifetime warranty promise and order and intall the replacement sash for the broken window.

we spoke with customer on 12-14-2015 and set her up for an appointment to have her glass replaced however it does take 4-6 weeks for the glass to be made. We spoke with customer to confirm her appointment today and advised her the glass will be in and we will come out and install it at no charge.

Review: Salesman [redacted] took a deposit of $685 in order to purchase and install a 36"x 84" Laurel, oval glass front door. He called back 2 weeks later stating that he can't do that size door. The company had already cashed my check and the manager [redacted] now wants me to go with another style door, with different panels and oval glass. I agreed to the change in style. The manager [redacted] now calls me back to say he can't do that style door either. So I chose another style door with an arch at the top, but they said they can't do it in that style either. It has been 2 months since I signed the contract and paid the deposit. I have called this company on five occasions looking for my refund because they were not able to provide the service I needed in a reasonable amount of time. My calls go unanswered, and I received a return call only once. Since then the receptionist claims [redacted] is tied up in meetings every time I call. I never get a call back. I would like for you to intervene and get this company to refund my money .Desired Settlement: I would like this company to send me a check for $685

Review: I signed a contract w/Nationwide in June 2015 for 7 replacement windows and put down a $1,200.00 deposit. A salesman measured the windows. A second rep came out & measured windows. The salesman called a few weeks later saying there was a problem with the size of 2 of the windows. He was going to check solutions & get in touch with my homeowners association. I never heard back & assumed the problem was rectified. 2 days before the windows were to be installed, I called to confirm the installation date & was told the windows were not going to be installed and the problem with the 2 windows was not remedied also, someone from Nationwide informed the HOA that the style of the windows was going to be different than what was approved so they withdrew permission for Nationwide to proceed. I was contacted several times by several representatives but no solution was put forth. I then asked for my deposit to be returned since Nationwide was unable to fulfill their end of the contract which was for 7 windows, not 5. Months later, another representative contacted me to arrange to measure the windows yet again. He and another representative came out and measured all the windows. While checking the sizes of the 5 windows that were supposedly correct, the rep said the sizes did not match what was on file. I was also told the 2 smaller windows would not be the ones we decided upon in the contract since Nationwide could not produce them. I called the next day to check with the salesman and he insisted that 5 windows were fine but Nationwide is unable to produce the other 7 windows. I asked to speak to the owner or manager and to please relay my message that I would just like my $1,200.00 deposit returned. I have no confidence in this company. Their customer service is terrible. I've been offered no apologies for the several days I had to take off from work to accommodate them.Desired Settlement: I would like my $1,200.00 deposit returned to me. Nationwide is unable to fulfill our agreement of producing and installing 7 windows. I am apprehensive of letting them install the 5 windows they say are correct, especially in the winter since several representative have tried to measure all with different results. The right thing to do is to refund my money so I can obtain a window company who can produce all 7 of my windows.

Response:

In regards to complaint ID# [redacted]. We tried working with this customer to fulfill her order for several months. However, the customer lost contact with us until January 2016. At that time I informed [redacted] I would like to come down personally to resolve this matter. We set a date for me to come down and discuss all the concerns she had with Nationwide. Upon my visit [redacted] was not willing to work with us in anyway the problem was two windows on her order were smaller then what we can make. I had to inform her that I had to work with my production team to do a special order for those two windows customer was not receptive to this. Customer was insisting on getting a refund I did inform her that this may not be possible but I would do everything we can to resolve her matter. After reviewing what transpired and also how customer felt and how uncooperative she was we decided to refund her full deposit. I have been trying to contact [redacted] for the past 3 weeks to inform her that I have her refund check and we need to set a meeting to deliver her refund check. I awaiting a response from the customer at this time and will continue to contact her.
