We apologize that the supervisor called the phone number on the order instead of the cell phone provided in his requestMr [redacted] did receive a call back on the morning of the 2nd business day to address his customer service concerns and discuss the return of his orderThat call did not change the facts established with the first customer service representative: He ordered a front rotor & brake pad kit listed to fit a vehicle with vented rear rotorsThe catalog listing (attached) is clear regarding the vehicle application requirements and Mr [redacted] ’s vehicle has solid rear rotorsSince he ordered the wrong kit for his vehicle, we provided him with return instructions to return the kit for a refund equal to the cost of the partsAs our Help page explains, every part we sell may be returned within days for a refund of the part price, but shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is due to our mistake

On 1/3, an individual placed order, referencing both a different name and address for billing and shipping. Suspecting that the owner of the card used to pay for the order was not aware of the purchase, we declined the payment the bank authorized. We immediately sent an email to the email address... noted in the order requesting a guaranteed form of payment to continue processing the order. Having received no response after attempting to contact the card holder on three occasions, we chose not to review the order further.We have not and will not process and ship this order. We did not charge this customer's card, so there is nothing for us to refund. The amount the bank initially authorized for the purchase will be returned to the account owner at a time of the bank's choosing.

This customer placed this order on 5/7/but didn't report a problem until 8/10/We accept returns within days, as our Help page explainsSince the order is outside our return window and beyond the manufacturer's day warranty, we unfortunately can not accept a return for refund or exchange for this customer's order

On 11/15, Mr [redacted] ordered a Gates Belt TensionerThe image shows that two small "elbow" pipes should be included with the tensionerWe aren't sure why the one he received did not have the elbow pipes, as stated in the online return he created on 11/We provided him return instructions and a prepaid return shipping label to return the part he received for a free replacement (so he could get the part we advertise)We have not heard from him since.Mr [redacted] 's return authorization to return the part he received to have the correct one shipped has since expiredWe emailed him a new authorization and prepaid label, both of which are valid until 1/9/

We have reset Mr [redacted] 's returns so that he is able to request the warranty replacements that he seeksHowever, we must remind Mr [redacted] that warranties offer replacement only if the product is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, according to the provisions of the manufacturer's warrantyParts that are returned for warranty replacement are inspected to verify claims of defectHe may proceed with his warranty claims on our Order Status and Returns page

The manufacturer of the product this customer purchased offered a core refund upon return of a rebuildable core. As our Help page explains, cores are not refundable if they can not be rebuilt. The core this customer returned was inspected by the manufacturer (who specializes in... these products). Unfortunately, the manufacturer determined his specific core is not rebuildable. We offered to return the core to the customer at his expense or dispose of the not-rebuildable core. The customer let us know it could be disposed of, so we disposed of it. No core refund will be issued for this unusable part.

On 2/11, Mr [redacted] , who lives on an overseas military base, ordered a part and chose SmartMail shippingWe shipped his part the next business day and the USPS delivered it to the Military Postal Service (the end carrier for military shipments) 2/On 3/10, he reported that he did not receive his part on our Order Status & Returns pageWe immediately started a trace with the carrierMr [redacted] contacted us on 3/saying he still did not have his part, so we shipped a replacementOn 3/24, tracking showed that he received the first part we shippedSince we had already shipped him a replacement which was still in transit, we asked the customer if he wanted to pay for the extra part and keep it or return itHe did not respondHe has since contacted us and we allowed him to keep the extra part for free

RevDex.com: In regards to my refund options that I did refuse, I refused only because I can not take defective parts off and return to wait days until a new product delivery. I do have work and can not take weeks off to keep "fixing" the problems. I needed new parts to put on right after the others were taken off so my vehicle would be drivable. They would not even do store credit so I could purchase at the same time as returned. They were not trying to work with me and my problem. I did go out of my way to reach out to the manufacturer, got the replacement parts to try to get a refund then. They still refused and would not accept for refund. I refuse to put something that already had a defect problem back on to my vehicle only to get the same outcome in a few months. I also never reported installing anything on a 1995 Chevy Blazer, which I don't have. All I wanted out of this was my right to a refund. They were defective parts, not my fault. I should not have such an issue getting a return. They do not have customer service skills on dealing with these issues, nor the skills on talking to anyone in general. They are rude and do not return phone calls when they say they will do so. No communication whatsoever. They will no longer get my business that's for sure. On 7/5, Mr*** contacted us because the belt he ordered did not fitOur representative determined an error in our catalogWe issued a full refund (part and the original shipping cost) later that day

This company continues to exercise its arrogance and disdain for honestyIn no time did I agree to the dialogue stated by themIf they taped the session Rockauto may come to terms that the issue here is that they advertised on the website a part that did not fit my carTwisting language around is not only irresponsible but not consistent with million dollar ads of HONESTY and RETURN POLICY"You sold the wrong part and you are blaming the consumer who TRUSTED your judgement" In my profession as a Doctor if I had committed a judgement error, I would have risked losing my licenseBlaming the consumer is simply childish and ignoring all communication thus far is an old business game that I thought was dead in AmericaJust face the fact that you sold the wrong part, change it in the catalog and send a letter of apology along with a FULL reimbursement of the itemWalmart, SEARS, Amazon and many others do it without all of this drama and confabulations
