We had Coles Flooring install sheet vinyl in both our bathrooms Our installer, ***, exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned outWe would highly recommend Coles Fine Flooring!

This letter is in regard to the complaint# [redacted] We are sorry that you are not happy with the denialof your claim but the carpet installed is not defectiveWhat is being seen is a maintenance issue calledcornrowing and the claim was denied by the manufacturer after an independent inspectionA copy ofthat inspection has already been provided to you as well as attached hereThe carpet is not showing anywearing as you have stated in your complaint.Cornrowing is defined as the tangling of alternating rows of pile yarn when subjected to traffic andimproper maintenanceIt resembles rows of corn in a fieldThis occurs most often in carpets with ahigher pile heightIt will generally appear in higher traffic areas such as hallways, bedroom doorwaysand in front of furnitureRegular vacuuming is required and needs to be done in all four directions tominimize this conditionProfessional cleaning as well as grooming with a carpet rake is also necessary tomaintain a satisfactory appearanceThis condition is considered to be maintenance related, not amanufacturing defectColes made what we believe is a very generous offer to replace the carpet with you paying for only thelabor to install itWe did this as a customer service accommodation and thought such a generous offerwould please youWe are surprised that this is not the caseIf you would like to accept the offer we willmake it available to you for days from the date of this letterThank you, [redacted] Customer Service SupervisorColes Fine Flooring

We used Coles Fine Flooring years ago and we were very happy with their service We used them again to provide all the flooring for our three bedroom condo

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] The facts you present are not completePlease review my first letter When I sat down with the sales person [redacted] to complete the purchase I asked her if they could caulk from the floor to the wall to deter antsShe says yes this could be done for an additional feeI was charged this fee I was told after the fact that this was not done because of the expansionI understood and asked them to remove the caulkingCaulking cracks over time The mistake was done on your sales persons end not mineIf this had been explained up front I would have not allowed them to caulk at allYour company uses caulking to hide the flaws and damage removing baseboard can make if not done delicatelyWhich then did not After the install on Oct 17, I called the sales person, [redacted] She informed me she did not handle anything after installation and would have customer service callThey did notI called again after waiting almost weeksThis is the call on Octyou refer to in your letter My conversation with Mr [redacted] is as follows - He understood what I needed done moving forwardHe said he would do the work himselfHe also said (and I quote) "I will have customer service call you sooner than later to schedule." And so I waitedI filed with the Revdex.com Not until I email Coles yesterday to tell them I filed with the Revdex.com, did I receive this responseOf which you still don't seem to comprehend or acknowledge I was charged for something I didn't wantThe mistake falls with Coles and the sales personShe gave me information telling me they could caulk the wall to floor From the beginning my experience with Coles customer service has been unprofessionalWaiting weeks for a response, only to receive one by contacted themI have not been able to function with my office furniture and computer in disarrayIt has cost me valuable time with my clientsI own businesses and would never think of not responding to a clients in a timely manner and be concerned with their needsColes has failed miserably Purchased date 9/21/Original installation date - 9/25/ Cancelled by Coles soonest reset for 19/I had removed my furniture for the 9/install date I called sales person same day or MondayWas told Customer service would call I called again 10/ [redacted] 11/Not until now has Coles responded And you think its not proportional? This is now Coles takes responsibility for their error? I asked that this issue is reviewed by higher management

We recently visited the Coles Flooring Center at MCAS Miramar and the first employee we spoke with was Katie B She provided excellent customer service and when the initial wood we ordered was no longer in stock she diligently worked to obtain several additional samples and colors in an effort to ensure we had the color closest to what our initial selection wasOnce installed the floor looked absolutely outstanding and I would recommend anyone planning on removing carpeting and installing wood floors to contact Katie B., and I am certain she will absolutely not stop until you are 100% satisfied

[redacted] is an outstanding, knowledgeable, personal, outgoing employee She knew and understood what my needs were and provided excellent customer service as well as going beyond to ensure I got exactly what I ordered [redacted] took me step by step and showed the measurements, diagram and provided great customer service It was a pleasure working with her Her personality is awesome An excellent employee with a smile

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Enclosed are documents forwarded to Cole’s with the inspection letter Their inspector only did visual inspections and clipped the tuffs which was making the seam more visible because it was balding According to the certified inspector they did not follow the CRI which he annotated If Cole’s was not satisfied with the inspection documentation why didn’t they ask me to get more information Their inspector didn’t say the dyson voided the warranty on this particular carpet I haven’t seen it in writing that the dyson voids the warranty on my carpet The certified inspector addressed the dyson as not the problem in his reportThe certified inspector said it would be worse if they tried to repair the carpet because of the seams The recent letter is typical of the stone walling I’ve been getting I’m ready to go to court if need be The conclusion is that the carpet was improperly installed All I want is to live in my home and be happy with the flooring I would like this information to be passed on to the Navy Exchange which allows them to sell their product on a military base The Navy Exchange stands behind it products Vendors allowed to sell on a military should too This is a slap in the face to our military patronsThey asked for a certified inspector and they didn’t like the outcome Regards, [redacted] ***

Please see attached: We’re sorry that you’re not satisfied with our services and we have already refunded you in fullWe also did not charge you for the quarter round provided, carpet and tack strip removed and the underlayment installed and left on site after the cancelationThat totaled over $worth of labor and material that you have been left with at no charge in addition to your full refund.The flooring that we had begun installing is the color Country Maple that was on your contractOn Friday 7/22/following the 2nd day of installation we had already completed square feet of the laminate You called and told us that the product that was installed was not the color you wanted and we made arrangements to switch the color to Country Walnut for you at no charge The wall damage was due to this being a mobile home with old wood paneling that has wallpaper applied over itAt some point the wall paper was painted over and the carpeting was allowed to touch the paint while wet This resulted in the carpet knap sticking to the poorly adhered and now painted wallpaperWhen the carpeting was removed the wallpaper came out with itWe cannot be held responsible for someone else’s improperly completed workWe have included pictures of the painted wallpaperAfter your demand for $could not be agreed to you were advised to speak to the General ManagerInstead you filed this Revdex.com complaint On Saturday 7/23/you came in and spoke to [redacted] the General ManagerShe refunded your deposit in full and canceled the contractShe did not bill you for the work done and material already supplied that totaled over $

First time in Coles can be overwhelming with the selections they have, whether it is carpet, wood flooring, rugs, etc Ken K was excellent to work with and he surprised me with his great sense of humor I was looking for carpet and reengineered wood and Ken was very helpful in his suggestions Selecting the carpet for the guest bedroom was fairly simple because I fell in love with a particular PATTERN and just went for it! I did not go looking elsewhere For the other two areas (small bedroom and master closet) I selected from their large inventory of remnants Ken was so patient in helping me decipher the invoices, which were very confusing to me, and helpful when I visited the store and on the phone several times The installation team was awesome - Gino, Michelle and Fabian! Had a small snafu with the wrong remnant but Michelle got on the phone with Ken and it was quickly resolved (thank goodness for cell phones and photos)! My floors are B E A U T I F U L !! Thanks to all of you at Coles for your fine service!

September 16, [redacted] 7th Ave San Diego CA This letter is in regard to the complaint # [redacted] filed by [redacted] ***The carpeting was installed on June 30, Coles has inspected the carpeting three times since the installation for pulled tufts The first inspection was on December 31, There was a single tuft pulled in the middle of the field, this tuft was trimmedAt that time the inspector noticed Mr [redacted] was using a DysonHe informed him that the use of a Dyson voids his warranties because it pulls out yarns Coles was contacted again and inspected the flooring on June 11, This time it was for fraying at the transition to tileAn installer re-glued the carpeting at the transition to tile on June 23, The customer was still using the Dyson and was again told that use of it voids the warranties Coles was contacted again and inspected the flooring on April 30, This time it was for a seam being too visible and tufts pulling at the seamAfter the inspection it was agreed that Mr [redacted] would hire an independent inspectorIf the findings were there was a defect in the carpet or a deficiency in the installation Coles would reimburse him for the inspection as well as assist with remedying the problemThis was done despite the fact that Mr [redacted] had been informed on numerous occasions that using the Dyson was damaging the carpet and voided his warranties The inspector’s report that was provided was considerably lacking in the standard inclusions that are required from a certified inspectorThe inspector did not include the data required to indicate proper tuft binding or his methods of testingHe also did not provide any pictures of the inspection findings and did not address the Dyson vacuum cleaner contributing to the problems occurringHis findings were that there was not enough latex used at the seams In an email dated July 1, we informed Mr [redacted] that if he provided Coles the invoice for the inspection we would issue a check for reimbursement and that we could schedule a crew for the repairMr [redacted] provided Coles the invoice and a check was issued on July 17, A voicemail was left for Mr [redacted] on July 21, and July 25, Mr [redacted] has not contacted Coles to schedule the repair work Coles offer is to repair the seams and the transitions to tile with additional latexThis offer is open until September 30, This offer is being made despite the fact that Mr [redacted] has been informed repeatedly that his warranties are all voided because of the continued use of the Dyson vacuum cleanerColes will not be refunding any money on the original installation Thank you, [redacted] Customer Service Supervisor Coles Fine Flooring

We have been very pleased with out purchases from Coles Noel has been more than helpful with the process from choosing tile/wood flooring, to ordering, to delivery and installation She is very knowledgeable regarding their inventory and advice on what would work best with our home needs, as well as our purchases for my mother's home in the same area Thank you, Coles!

I was fortunate enough to be one of the teachers that received a free area rug for my classroom for teacher appreciation day The rug is thick and soft and the quality far exceeds any other rug I have seen The company was very generous to show their appreciation to San Diego County teachers by donating rugs! Or the fact that you seem to want to avoid, which as a lack of response time or taking any responsibility for the lack of communication I have photos

We recently worked with [redacted] on a small tile project for our master bathroom floor (sf)We took home many samples to test out, and when we finally picked a product it was very easy to schedule a measurement and install date [redacted] was very easy to work with, and we felt that the bid was reasonable and had clearly defined the terms of the agreementFortunately, the installation was smooth, and [redacted] from DG tile was professional, efficient, and friendlyThe only minor hiccup is that just enough tile was ordered and there were none leftThis would have been inconvenient if there had been damage or an error in the cut; but luckily that was not the case, and we love the floor

Please see attachedMr***,Coles has had a number of conversations with you, exchanged letters and emails as well as a number of trips out to address every single one of your concernsWe have been made aware by the crew chief Carlos that you informed him it is your practice to complain about all work you have done in your home until the company finishes your project and provides you a checkColes is not willing to do thisWe have completed your floor per the contract and given you numerous discounts along the wayPlease see the information in the last letter sent to you which I have included below.“This is in response to your letter dated April 13, in which you request additional money be refunded to youWe are sorry that you do not feel that your installation went as smoothly as expected and that you erroneously thought the product you had selected was polyurethane finishedYou were made aware that the product was oil finished prior to installation and you elected to have the floor installedColes has given you many monetary accommodations during the process of this installationWe waived the tax, provided a 10% material discount, upgraded you from Sika Glue to Sika in Moisture Barrier and Glue at no additional charge and did not charge you the $per hour for your floor preparationIn all you received $in discountsWe have made all repairs that you have requested and provided you with the oil refresher for your floorAfter reviewing all of this information Coles is respectfully denying your request for additional refunds.”Coles has completed the work for the floor you selected and signed the contract forWe are not willing to renegotiate your contract after the fact and will not be issuing any refunds

I was completely satisfied with Coles work
