I received a cpap machine and stopped using itI received bills for paymentI made calls and never got a person and left messagesI w2anted them to pick it up and did not want itThen they sent it to collectionsI told them come and get itNo response just referred to collectionsI DON'T WANT IT

The customer service here is TERRIBLEDME was scheduled for a specific dateI asked for an expected delivery time frame and was 12-5PMOn the day of the scheduled delivery, my block was closed for constructionI gave a courtesy call to Medstar letting them I can meet them on the next block b/c it would be impossible for them to drive downAfter confirming that I have a scheduled delivery, they said okay, I will let the driver know5PM comes, no deliveryI call back and they said the delivery is for tomorrowI said that has to be a mistake b/c I spoke to someone at Noon and they confirmed delivery for that dayThen, they said, someone was at your door at 8:00AMWhich is complete BSI have never dealt with such an incompetent companyI will never recommend Landauer Medstar to anything unless they want aggravation and a shortened life spanIt is complete nonsense!

I am filing this complaint on behalf of my year old mother, *** ***, who was given a travel wheel chair upon her discharge from a rehabitlitaion facility and despite my leaving numerous messages with customer service and billing, I never received a call back to arrange for pick up of the chair Instead, Medstar, who never spoke with me before giving my mother the wheelchair (I had been led to believe that this was arranged by the Ozanam Hall, the rehab she was being discharged from, that the chair was covered fully by Medicare/Medicaid Out of nowhere, Medstar started billing my mother for the chair (which she doesn't need any longer) despite my leaving messages about wanting to return itNow they will not take it back and they have wrongfully put her in collection for a service/product it was never disclosed to me that she would have to pay forT

Landauer Medstar is a truly terrible company to do business withI was provided a CPAP machine via Medicare from MedstarThey have harassed me by phone concerning my use of the machine, screamed at me on the phone to use the machine more and in the end, called my son and told him I never paid for the machine and then lied to me when I called the very same representative that they never said that to my sonAvoid them at all costs!

My doctor has placed an order for a new CPAP machine to replace an old and damaged Cpap machineTHe prescription was sent to Landauer the first week of December asking them for prompt delivery of a new machineI learned that my insurance had already approved me for the new machine however as of this date Landauer has failed to deliver the product and/or inform me of the reason for the delayI have repeatedly called to find out what is the cause for the delay and I do not get a reasonable response from anyone in the companyI've asked to speak to a supervisor but I still get the same excuse that they are waiting for approval from my insurance companyI have been without a machine that I have come to rely on for the past years

I had a similar experience to the one already described on this page by "Madelyn H." I was prescribed a CPAPIt took them five attempts to successfully deliver because they would show up either well outside the scheduled six hour delivery window or not at allI was then harassed both via phone and mail regarding usageEach time they called, they attached new terms and conditions that had not been mentioned previously by Landauer or by my doctorWhen I called my insurance company (twice) to clarify these policy questions, the insurance company contradicted LandauerLandauer responded by saying the insurance company did not understand their own policyIncidentally, I've had my CPAP for almost six months and Landauer has yet to actually file a claimOn top of all this, their telephone support people are short tempered, rude, and unnecessarily contentious

The worst organization to deal with Awful service their dispatch is beyond rude and they should be put out of business They are eating away at insurance companies, billing them for atrocious service at best and jeopardizing clients well being at worst

I have had a Caire freestyle comfort portable oxygen concentrator that is not functioning I called the customer support and they told me to unplug it and disconnect battery and that will fix it, then they hung upIt didnt work, the system still does not work I called again today and they told me I have to call back during business hours there is no tech support for the portable machine in the evening Also, I had requested a back up battery and was charged over $for it, they sent the wrong battery, the battery I received doesn't match the machine I called multiple times and no one has tried to resolve this issue I can not leave my house because they also refused to pick up empty oxygen canisters from me over a week ago and I had to call several times before someone actually resolved that issue and they picked up the empty tanks and left me with full tanksI am trapped in my house with only the electric concentrator and where I live I lose power often This is life

Metropolitan Landauer was paid twice for the same item, by me and by Medicare When I was ready for discharge from The Osborn rehabilitation facility in Rye, NY they ordered me a walker from Metropolitan Landauer It was delivered on 1/*/and Metropolitan Landauer informed me that Medicare would not pay for it due to the deductible I paid $via my *** charge card When I received my Medicare summary I see that Medicare also paid Metropolitan Landauer $through my Medicare Part B insurance and $through my Medicare Supplement plan for a total of $on 1/**/ Thus they double billed and were paid twice for the same item Item ordered was Heavy duty wlker (E0149-NUKX)

According to Medicare, Landauer Medstar can rent me my wheelchair for a year after which I own the item
After the month Landauer started sending me bilsTrying to reach tem on the phone was not possible
I find this company very negativeTheir online evaluation by other unsatisfied consumers reflects this
I seem not to be able to resolve this issueLandauer in effect has collected multiple times the actual cost of the wheel chair

I need to order new filters for the CPAP machine and I cant get true to them when I finally get true after trying for weeks, they ask me for my DOB when I give them the DOB they tell me its not the correct one I sent them proof and they never correct it, so I cant get new filters and its a big health issue

I had a knee replacement at Syosset Hosin 2/Landauer Medstar told me the equipment I needed when I was discharged would be covered by insurance I started getting bills for $after I returned home I was harrassed with threats to pay I eventually paid in 5/the $ My check cashed by Medstar I am STILL getting bills telling me I am "seriously past due" I already paid it So now I paid the bill in May and I am getting harrassment bills to pay again

Despite repeated efforts to resolve an outstanding invoice, Landauer Medstar will not reply to communications nor bill the appropriate insurance company for an invoiceThey have now sent the bill to a collection agency, who also will not return telephone messages

I spoke to supervisor after months trying to clear situation with billing to no avail So supervisor took the payment I owed of plus dollars and she assured me that there are no other charges and now they are charging me the same billNonsenseThese people make you nutsThey even billed the insurance for a product I received which was wrong sizeI called insurance company that they did that and Landauer was to give back moniesSo they need to get their billing correct and stop double billing! thank you

This company is the most incompetent medical supply company out thereI have dealt with others so I do know the differenceThey are difficult to reach and when you do reach them they fail to follow instructionsThey make apptsthey don't keep or show up at the wrong timeOn 2/** they were supposed to do an annual internal filter maintenance on an oxygen concentrator and the time was set as between 12PM at the earliest and 1PM (at the latest)They showed up at 8AMThey brought a huge, noisy old unit which they wanted to exchange for the better one we hadWe refused to accept this piece of junk and insisted they do only the annual internal filter maintenance as originally requestedWe now know how to perform this and hopefully will never have to call them to do it in the future

Hello: I have tried to reach this company several times regarding the billing matter Each time I get no response I have mailed letters to Landuaer Medstar asking for a breakdown of the billing and for what Items do I owe any monies and I have got nothing in response Now I hear from a collection agency asking me for payment or giving
me an alternative to pay a lesser amount to satisfy this debt

If I could give them a zero I would Don’t send what you ask for, send multiple packages with the same items when you order one, send individual components of item you ordered, missing a key componentDo not send return authorizations as requested Even get return receipt for emails which they ignoreCustomer service people nice on the phone but nothing they tell you they are going to do do ever gets implemented
