New Windows for America Reviews (67)

product seems of good quality for a fair pricewhen we were told of a time when reps would be here they were right on the button, our installers were very friendly and were happy to answer any questions we hadthey did a very good job and were quite professional more than happy with them."

I want to recommend New Windows of America to people who want a quality window and a staff that does really care about the company they work forThe measurement and installation of the windows where exactThankyou again for the pricing I could afford

We really like our new windows! We noticed a difference the first night! The salesman was very friendly and not pushing making sure to explain the windows and the process of installing them! The window installers were very efficient and friendly!! They showed us how to take them out for cleaning and putting them back in! How the window stops work and the patio door stop works for my day care! We have recommended them to a few people we know already! Thank you *** and *** we really love our new windows!!

I live in a home that was built in and has been in the family since then The outside screens were replaced but the original inside single pane windows remained Even though I knew they needed replacement, I continually put it off because I was afraid of losing the beautiful original wood work in the home Then I came across New Windows for America Not only did they match the original woodwork beautifully, but they were one of the few companies who offered triple pane glass I couldn't be happier! Everyone I met, from the salesman, to the owner, to the workers, were personable, professional, and eager to please The windows were replaced quickly and efficiently What I thought may take weeks.....they accomplished in two days -one day on the inside and one day on the outside Their crew was amazing and I couldn't be happier Choosing New Windows for America was one of the best decisions I ever made I would recommend them to anyone who needs new windows

"Great product and the guys who installed our new entry door was great to work withThe constant contact about when the door would arrive and the whole process and what to expect."

We are very satisfied with the windows we had installed through New Windows for AmericaThe salesperson explained the process well, the person who measured was good and the installers were here on time and finished in about hours for six windowsThey were very cordial and cleaned up their mess fairly wellThe windows are expensive, but we feel like they are good quality and look amazing

The price for the windows and the outside trim around the windows were very fair and the sales person was not pushy or over bearing ..He showed me the product and stated the price and the one thing that sold me was the transferable guarantee on the windows the other places that gave me bids didn't have this and they were much more expensive than NWFAI have the peace of mind that when I sell my property the new owners will be taken care of if anything goes wrong with the windows...the installers were wonderful they cleaned up after they were done installingI have recommended them to a few friendsI had a fantastic experience with this company I highly recommend them to all

The salesman was very friendly and knowledgeableThe installers were very efficient and left the whole area absolutely picked up and cleanThese are the second set of windows we have purchased from New Windows for AmericaEven though the price was more than another quote, we went with them because of the very positive experience we had with them the first time

We apologize that this job has not been completed to your satisfaction by nowWe will be calling and emailing soon to have this job completed because we now have all of the service parts in our office that we need for completionYour request for separate
receipts for the separate payments will be emailed to youPlease let us know if there is anything else you needSincerely,

NWFA had re ordered a patio door screen that was dented in shipmentOur service rep improperly relayed to the customer the screen was in when in fact it was notI agree our employee did not handle it properly, and we have internally
disciplined the employee
I personally told the customer when the screen came in I would make sure it was delivered to her home and installedIt is due to be delivered on July 11th

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do accept the replacement of the patio screen door
I DO NOT ACCEPT the lack of acknowledgement of the other existing problemsI DO NOT ACCEPT "no response" or even a mention of the window screen problems and the dents around of the windows in my family roomThey said on the phone they'd have someone look at those problems when they deliver the screenHopefully that will happen, and the problem will be resolved by either fixing the dents or replacing the windowsRemember, these windows were just installed last fall I spent over $12,and intend to sell the house soonI cannot have brand new windows with defectsAs a seller, or a buyer, it is totally UNACCEPTABLEI would like ALL THE PROBLEMS ADDRESSED and TAKEN CARE OF, as per my previous comments.I would like the NEW WINDOWS in NEW WINDOW condition, without defects, dents, gouges, etc., Thank you

When we deliver the patio door screen we will review other issues customer hasIF they don't meet manufacturer's specifications they will covered under factory warranty

We used New Windows For America to replkace old windows and for some new windows in a re-build areaIn both cases we were extremely satisfied with the service and quality of the productThe sales consultant visited our home 2X to assess our needs and determine best fitAn additional consultant visited to determine exact sizes for windows in an additionThe installers were prompt, courteous and efficientThey also cleaned the area around the installed windows inside and outThe finished product looks great and operates fantastically wellThe upgrades we requested have made a big difference in how well the windows operate and offer protection (sun, breakage etc.) We were drawn to NWFA because of the cost and warrantees they offerWe are quite satisfied

I like the windows very much. Look like good quality manufacturing. The installer were great too. These windows have nice latches and like the nice mitered corners. Very happy with this windows & installation.

Subsequent to this complaint we have had various conversations with [redacted] and the husband,[redacted].
Per a conversation between [redacted], NWFA sales rep and [redacted], it has been acknowledged that [redacted] made no assertions regarding the...

[redacted]'s foundation. Another contractor made this assertion.
The Cn Rapids Home for Generations program is a program for jobs greater than $35,000 and adds living space to the dwelling. NWFA installed siding for $15,890. The [redacted]'s do NOT qualify for this program through the City of Cn Rapids. The [redacted]'s have a 12 month no payments no interest financing package. NWFA has offered other financing programs that may better fit their needs. We have not heard which if any of these options the [redacted]'s would prefer.
NWFA has offered to have all parties sit down together, face to face, to sort out any issues and NWFA will offer any apologies deemed appropriate.

Our policy at New Windows for America is to address any water intrusion issue from a customer immediately. Obviously that did not happen here. Our employee did not handle this in accordance with our policies.
However, in reviewing...

the email chain and past service with the customer our employee had a reason to at least question the issue. In the past we went out to service a window problem and they were not windows installed by NWFA.
Furthermore, I have reviewed our email history (junk mail, deleted mail, etc. ) and no pictures were ever received by NWFA nor was any email ever addressed to me, [redacted], President of NWFA.
Also, our warranty covers caulking for a period of two years. Both window installations were greater than two years old. As I said earlier, we will go investigate any water leak, as we want to avoid damage to home. Caulking is a maintenance item that needs to be reviewed occasionally. When caulking is greater than two years old and we perform this service our cost is a $75 service charge and $25 for upper floor window and $20 for a first level window.
A simple phone call from the homeowner to me personally would have alleviated all of this.
We will compensate the homeowners $150 as we should have gone out to review the situation asap. However, the extra $100 would have been chargeable by us or another company so we will not reimburse for this.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/03/10) */
Last spring NWFA installed windows in the [redacted] home. Our sub contracted installers accidentally spilled some foam insulation on the [redacted]'s vinyl siding and it has discolored the siding below one window on the left front of the...

house. NWFA made multiple attempts to clean of the discoloration but we have been unsuccessful in doing so.
The incident was reported to NWFA sub contractor's insurance and the insurance company offered $3,300 for damages, which took into account the age and value of the existing siding. $3,300 does not cover the full cost of replacing siding on the entire house. After rejecting the offer of the subcontractor's insurance company, the [redacted]'s were encouraged to report it to their own homeowners's insurance company, which would then negotiate with the sub contractors insurance company to recover the full cost.
The [redacted]' have refused to contact their own homeowners insurance company. The [redacted]' have stated they have an attorney, but have refused to provide that attorney's information to NWFA so that a meaningful dialogue could take place to amicably settle this matter. In order to make this as affordable as possible, NWFA generously offered to provide the vinyl siding and labor at our COST. We also offered to provide a dumpster at no cost to the [redacted], which has a value of approximately $400.
The cost to NWFA for the vinyl siding which the [redacted] have chosen is approximately $3.050. Estimated labor by a qualified sub contractor has a cost of $2500-2800. One stain under one window in on one side of the house does not entitle the [redacted] to getting the entire house resided free of charge.
While this incident is regrettable, if the [redacted] would like a better outcome than what has been offered, they will need to undertake some steps on their own behalf, such as reporting the claim to their own homeowner's insurance company.
NWFA has gone above and beyond in an attempt to resolve this situation in a fair and equitable manner. We have exhausted the remedies available to us and are unable to resolve this matter without assistance from the [redacted].
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/03/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We do not have an attorney and never stated so to NWFA I am not sure where they received that information. The stain is on the front of the house if the stain would have been on the side or the back of the house this would not be as critical. Any communication has been initiated by us, I have had to repeat emails to receive responses, make several calls in order to have someone return my calls. At one point when this was first an issue the owner/president [redacted] was so rude to me on the phone he had me in tears.
If we had needed new siding we would have put the siding on the same time as we put in the new windows. However there WAS nothing wrong with our siding. We even matched the window wrap to our siding. We feel between the sub contractors insurance and NWFA they should replace the siding.
The siding was offered at cost to us along with the dumpster. NWFA believes we should be responsible for the labor. We have spoken to our insurance agent and she also believes it is in our best interest not to get the insurance company involved. This should be our decision. We should not be forced into involving them. It is evident that NWFA does not want to pay a dime out of pocket they want the sub contractors insurance and us to pay for the siding and the installation.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2014/04/02) */
Numerous attempts have been made by NWFA to rectify this situation in a fair reasonable way.
New Windows for America turned this into the subcontractor's insurance company. The insurance company did an adjustment and offered to pay for the damaged siding. We are not sure on the age of the siding, but think it is around twenty years old.
Mrs. [redacted] was not happy with what the insurance adjuster said the siding repair was worth and what the insurance company is willing to pay. Mrs. [redacted] would like to have her entire home re-sided and would like New Windows for America to pay for replacement of the undamaged sides of the house.
[redacted] has offered to pay out of pocket for more than what the insurance company deems reasonable which would help pay for the other undamaged sides of the house to be resided. Mrs. [redacted] is not happy with this.
New Window's for America's requested Mrs. [redacted] turn it into her homeowner's insurance so the insurance companies can decide what is to be paid for. The amount that New Windows for America is willing to pay above and beyond the insurance company's adjustment is not acceptable to Mrs. [redacted].
We have offered several different options to reside which would not involve needing to side the undamaged sides of the house such as:
1) Put shakes in front of house
2) Put board and batten in front of house
3) Combination of horizontal and one of the above
4) Put a different color in front of the house
Any of these above situations will resolve the situation with no out of pocket money and without involving homeowners' insurance company. New Windows for America has also offered to put siding on the remaining sides of the [redacted] home at our cost.
The [redacted]'s have been unwilling to consider anything but "free siding" for the entire house.
Another option not discussed would be to replace the damaged siding in the front of the house by taking good siding from the back of the house and putting the damaged siding on the back of the house. This would cost a few hundred dollars labor, and the [redacted]'s could keep the insurance proceeds. If the [redacted] eventually wanted to replace the entire house NWFA would hold the costs discussed above for 1 year, subject to vendors price increases.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2014/04/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
After reviewing pages and pages of emails from [redacted] I could not find any of the options listed offered to us (maybe he is confusing us with another customer), with that being said the options listed are not acceptable. I do not think that Mr [redacted] would accept any other those options for his home either. I do not want my house to look like a clown house. We take pride in our home, if we didn't we would not have spent the money to put new windows in our home.
I know Minnesota state law requires that if the siding can no longer be matched the entire house would need to be sided. As I have stated before there was absolutely nothing wrong with our siding. And yes we believe the sub contractors insurance company came back low, we have had other companies give us estimates on new siding with bids between $10,000-$12,000, even in verbal conversation with Mr. [redacted] he indicated that our house would be approximately a $10,000 job. The insurance company offered $3300.00.
NWFA ([redacted]) never offered to pay for anything above of what the sub contractors insurance will pay. If he would have we would not be to this point. He did offer to get the siding at a reasonable cost and pay for a dumpster. We still would have the labor to pay for which is approximately $2800-3000.
We would like to get this resolved as soon as possible it has been almost a year. The installer never mentioned the damaged before he left, we noticed it the next morning and immediately called NWFA. It took several phone calls to get a response from [redacted] ( I have documentation).

Excellent technicians. The knew what they are doing. Very courteous.

I see that Heather from our service department was in contact with you on 11/9/16 and has scheduled us to come out to address your service needs on 11/21/16. Four years ago, we replaced 5 windows in our house with another window company that lied to us, didn't give us what we expected, and didn't return calls after installation.
The entire experience with New Windows for America was fantastic! They delivered what they said they were going to. We had a couple of minor hiccups with installation, but they did EVERYTHING to make things right. They made us feel like a valued customer.
With "New Windows for America", we were able to get triple pane windows for the same price as double pane with their competitors. They also have the best warranty of all companies that we looked at. Hope to someday replace the first replacement windows with windows from New Windows for America.
