Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Dear Victor, I apologize that it has been a while for me to respond My world is very busy. Firstly, thank you for the reinstatementI appreciate that a lot. I do take issue with the accusations claimed against me 1) I have hosted FREE CLASSESSo out of the posts you claim how many were notices for free classes? 2) I posted Free Classes under Free Items and someone in the neighborhood reported me Repeatedly. 3) I posted in the classified for my services to the community (very different from advertising a used car for sale or the real estate posts I see regularly) and I was reported. 4) I offered advice to families about what to look for when seeking a professional music educator NOT FOR CLIENTS and I get reported 5) I went and created a business page and NO ONE in the feed can ever see it!! Unlike other platforms such as Facebook, so what’s the point? Now Victor, thankfully I have had positive responses of people seeking my services I have also been in my profession for years and am grateful for the community platform that NextDoor provides, however there is a fundamental philosophical dispute between the difference in someone connecting their vital service to the community and a random car salesmen. Your policies state no unsolicited posts however EVERY post is unsolicited which means this is left up to interpretation. Instead of someone simply hiding me for their newsfeed (as I would for something I don’t want to see) they are harassing me by reporting my postsThis is not random, it is targeted And furthermore your customer service department is near impossible to reach! I have spoken with many of my clients who use NextDoor and they share my frustrations with other things AND apparently according to Revdex.com we aren’t the only one. I am a fan of NextDoor and I hope that you guys have a long online life however your leads abusing their privileges, not using good discretion and injudiciously blocking people and deleting posts blankly, coupled with online customer support that is unreachable, will cause your company’s success to be limited and I would hate to see that happen. NextDoor is to connect the community to locally needed services according to your policies What is the difference between someone posting for themselves and someone else posting for them? Alright, I welcome your thoughts and I have now said my peace Please deal with your injudicious leads before they damage what your company wants. Warmest Regards, Aaron Sincerely,Aaron Jacobs

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I jumped thru all the hoops, signed people up, and still no gift card! They took at least months to respond to my complaint! I guess I will need to let everyone know of this unethical company Sincerely, [redacted]

Nextdoor has an area of our site called the National Leads Forum, where we make it possible for Leads from across the country to share informationIt's purpose is to be a place for Leads to help other Leads be more effective in leading their neighborhood [redacted] ability to post publicly to the National Leads Forum was removed after she (and a number of other Leads from her area in Texas) abusively attacked one another because of disagreements over how to enforce Nextdoor's GuidelinesNot only are these types of attacks not helpful in supporting fellow Lead; they are actually tremendously destructive because they model exactly the opposite behavior that we want from LeadsAll of the participants in this abusive discussion (on both sides) had their ability to post removed Later, after [redacted] ability to post publicly was restored, rather than returning to use the Forum in the way it was intended, she instead used it to try and create more drama by complaining about having her ability to post being removed At that point Dottie was banned from the ForumWe will not consider allowing her to have access to the Forum again until later this year

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:nextdoor takes these comments out of context by failing to read the complete conversations and failing to recognize that my comments such as the examples you gave were not my words but rather said back to a trolling bully using HIS own words to respond, for example [redacted] bullied another woman who lost her dog and kept making jokes about it while she cried.when people asked him to stop and said he wasn't funny he told everyone his humor and wit were a sign of superior intelligence to which I gave the reply you showed, I said I hadn't seen any "comedic ability" which is his words in quotesThe person, [redacted] ***, shown in your above examples continuously calls me "Chuckles" and posts a red balloon so I responded, without his name, referring to the person with "little red balloon" [redacted] also kept posting images of flashlights and jokes about searching for lost dogs to the distraught woman who lost her dog which is why I said I could see he could spell flashlightIn the example with DM's post she was also telling [redacted] he wasn't funny and to stop and I was agreeing with her, she's my friend, and I agreed he thought he was funny but was notThe dates Nextdoor gave were examples just like these, I do not ever troll or instigate fightsI never abused the reporting system and fail to see any examples of any comments I reported that should not have beenNextdoor also has failed to address the real reason I was suspended which was a result of Lead [redacted] retaliation after she inappropriately sent me private messages in a row as she got madder and abused her power at which time, exactly, my account abruptly shut down despite the fact I wasn't being inappropriate back to herNextdoor has cherry picked these examples and left out most of the relevant facts necessary to make a fair professional appropriate decision which seems to make a case for Nextdoor using prejudicial treatment of its customers which I believe is a violation of the law and my rightsAs for giving me a choice to "reply or agree to these conditions" before reinstating my account, they have not done thatThey should be investigated for their actionsThank you Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The response does not address the complaintIt does not refer to the way the purchase was advertised nor that in a post sales survey in the first question they offer a response that indicates this is a widespread problem and they are knowingly and willfully misrepresenting the exclusive nature of the advertising. In addition, in the advertising terms and member agreement is does not state that multiple spots will be sold [redacted] I submit that the business knows it is misleading consumers and proof is in the post purchase survey Sincerely,Adam [redacted]

Our team received reports from members of Mr [redacted] 's neighborhood of posts and behavior that violates Nextdoor's Community Guidelines on January 1st, and for multiple days afterwards: [redacted] Our team then reached out to Mr [redacted] about these violations and sent warnings on January 2nd 2017, January 18th, 2017, and finally after these warnings his account was limited and his voluntary Lead status was removed due to not exhibiting the traits of a Nextdoor Lead: [redacted] Based on the complaints we received, as well as the continued and repeated violations of Nextdoor's Community Guidelines and other policies, Mr [redacted] s account will remain on hold until he has determined that he's willing to make a good faith effort to amend his behavior to abide by the Community Guidelines.

Nextdoor Leads are volunteers within the neighborhood who helped create the Nextdoor community in the neighborhood they live inThey are responsible for inviting and welcoming new neighbors, answering general questions about the platform, keeping conversations civil and when members violate our Community Guidelines they can report and remove that contentOne of those violations is self promotionMembers are not allowed to post about their businesses on the Nextdoor newsfeed When this specific issue was brought to our attention by the complainant in our Help Center, we researched the issue and found that the Leads in question were allowing members to self-promote in their communitiesNextdoor support then reached out to those Leads to discuss how to properly interpret the guidelinesNextdoor Support also removed the self promotional posts from the newsfeedNextdoor support also discussed the issue that several neighbors felt threatened and bullied by the member in question and highlighted the area’s of our Guidelines that deal with threats of safety

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I wrote apologizing AND agreeing to abide by the guidelines I had thought I was abiding by already It was a NextDoor customer service person who suggested I post in the calendar but did not clearly state to make sure it is not on the main newsletter I am learning as it seems many folks on NextDoor are frequently confused secondly I have a business page as well Thirdly as I’ve stated many times I am not a Business but a neighborhood service However I will continue to try to use the guidelines appropriately however they are very obscure and vague, left to public disgression of people who like you or don’t like you for unknown reasons, which is to me a big flaw in the guidelines Zero corporate oversight It has now been over a week since I wrote and no response directly from their offices Lastly, the only reason it appears I have so many posts is because in the beginning my posts kept disappearing and I did not understand fully why so I was ignorantly reposting Finaly, please unblock my account Thanks, Aaron Sincerely,Aaron [redacted]
